AN: Oh my goodness, my dear readers, I am so, SO sorry for the terribly long delay! My computer has been on the fritz lately , and so it has not been easy to write and post. I have not forgotten this story, and I hope you haven't either!

DISCLAIMER: I still don't own downton abbey… darn it.

It did not take long to prepare Sybil for her wedding day. Mary and Edith did there best to recreate one of Anna's beautiful twists, and with a few pearl pins it didn't look bad at all. "Oh my dear little sister is a bride!" Edith cried, wiping her tearful eyes on her hankerchief. "Edith, don't cry! The ceremony hasn't even started yet!" Sybil giggled as she observed herself happily in the mirror. "The last Crawley girl to marry. It is rather exciting dear!" Mary hugged her sister around the shoulders and kissed her cheek.

"I just wish that at least mama could have been here to see it." Sybil sighed. "You know mama would have come if papa would have allowed it." Mary reassured. "Did papa also deny granny the right to attend? I understand that you had to leave Isobel with the children, Mary, but I just wish that one of them would be there, sitting in the church." Sybil put her head in her hands, and Mary and Edith shared a knowing glance.

"There, there Sybil, everything is going to be just perfect today, I promise you that." Edith soothed, gently tracing a hand up and down Sybil's back. "Yes, you're right of course Edith." Sybil brushed away the one tear that had fallen, and smiled, though a bit more down hearted now. "You look so very beautiful Sybil dear." Mary said as she helped Sybil to her feet. "Thank you Mary! You do look so lovely in your bridesmaid gown, thank you for wearing it even if you do think yellow is a terrible color." Sybil giggled, and Mary rolled her eyes, "it is your wedding day Sybil. For today, I'd even wear a horse hair shirt if that was what you wanted."

"Edith, are you sure you aren't well enough to stand up as a bridesmaid?" Sybil asked sadly. "No dear, I must keep off of my feet as much as possibly, I'm under strict orders from Doctor Gregory." Edith sighed, her hands gently tracing circles over her very large belly. "You're nearly eight months now, is that right Edith?" Sybil asked, placing a hand on her sister's belly and feeling a small nudge. "Nearly Seven actually. Soon this little one will be ready to join the world, and play with his dear cousins."
Edith laughed, and Mary smiled.

"I do hope I will have a baby soon." Sybil sighed wistfully. "Oh I'm sure you will dear, if you notice the pattern in the Crawley sisters, you ought to be expecting within the first month of your marriage." Mary laughed, though it made Edith and Sybil blush. "I hope so." Sybil said quietly. "Your time will come Sybil, but before you can become a mother, we ought to get you to the chapel on time for your wedding, don't you agree Edith?" Mary asked. "Oh, yes! We simply cannot be late!" Edith agreed, and pulled her sister by the hand.

Once they were out side, Sybil gasped. "Who's auto is that? We don't own a car." Mary smiled. "It's a rented auto, Sybil. We couldn't risk the bottom of your wedding gown turing brown with mud." Mary laughed. "Oh… well thank you then, both of you, that was terribly kind." Sybil tried to focus on the car- she could swear someone was sitting in the back. "Don't thank us Sybil." Edith smiled as the hired driver opened the door.

Sybil gasped, her hand flying over her lips, and Edith and Mary smiled happily at each other. "Granny! You- You came, you're here!" Sybil's eyes swam with joyful tears as Violet Crawley gently took her grand daughter's hand. "Of course I came, Sybil. I've only so many years left, and only so many grand daughters. I would not miss your wedding simply because I do not approve of the match." Violet sighed. Sybil laughed joyfully as the car began to move. "You- you both knew she was coming?" She asked her sisters with narrowed eyes. They both nodded guiltily. "And you didn't tell me?!" Sybil huffed. "The three of us decided it would be a surprise." Mary shrugged. "Oh, I couldn't be upset with any of you today! It is my wedding day, and Granny is here to see it. It shall truly be perfection." Sybil declared.

"Now let me look at you." Violet said to Sybil as she observed her youngest granddaughter, who suddenly felt quite shy. "Hm. I do think something is missing." Violet said simply as she reached beside herself. "I know that my dress isn't anything special granny, and I know my veil has been used, but…" Sybil trailed off as she saw her grandmother open a black velvet box. "I do believe every bride is supposed to have something… blue." Violet smiled as Sybil took in the sight of the stunning sapphire necklace. "Oh my goodness- Granny, you didn't have to- it's enough that you came, truly it is!" Sybil insisted. "Don't be ridiculous my dear. On Mary's wedding day I gave her the heirloom pearls, on Edith's I gave her my emerald hair comb, and today I want you to have what was my something blue." Violet insisted. Sybil felt tears begin to spill as her grandmother her self fixed the necklace around her neck.

"Thank you Granny, you cant know how much this truly means to me." Sybil brushed away tears before hugging her grandmother tightly. "And what a beautiful bride you are Sybil. Truly, you are. Your mother would be very pleased." Violet told her, making Sybil smile. "Here we are. The Church." Edith announced joyfully. IT was Matthew who opened the car door, and he smiled at his family. "May i?" Gregory asked, stepping forward, and extending a hand to his wife, who took it happily. Matthew quickly got the remaining ladies from the car, and took Mary in his arms for but a moment. "Doesn't this make you think of our wedding day?" Mary asked, placing her hands on his chest. "It does indeed." He agreed. "Though I suppose on our wedding day the bride didn't wear white, the brides maids didn't wear matching gowns, the flowers where whatever could be found in the garden, and the groom wore a uniform and not a morning suit." Mary sighed, though good naturedly. "True as those things may be, I wouldn't change a thing about it if I could. It was perfect, and it was the best day of my life." Matthew said honestly.

"If you keep saying things like that, it's going to be terribly difficult." Mary whined. "What?" Matthews brow wrinkled in confusion. "staying focused on Sybil, and keeping my hands off of you all day." Mary said, going on her toes and kissing Matthew softly before slipping out of his arms, and walking forward to be with Sybil.

"Are you ready Sybil?" Mary asked, linking pinkies with her sister as she met her inside the doors of the church. "I am. I truly am. Mary, I'm going to be a wife!" She giggled, and hugged her sister around the neck. "I'm going to go be seated now, I'll see you inside!" Edith kissed her sister on the cheek before going to sit beside her husband. "I will also take my seat. You do look lovely Sybil." Violet smiled at her granddaughter once more before heading on to the church. Matthew came in shortly after, and embraced his young sister in law. "Congratulations Sybil, you look splendid." He told her before he went to take his place beside Tom.

The music of a lone fiddle began, and Mary looked at her beautiful baby sister. "Are you positive this is what you want?" Mary asked. Sybil smiled "More sure than I've ever been about anything in my entire life Mary." "Then it's time dear." Mary smiled, and took her place to walk Sybil down the isle. "Thank you for being here today Mary." Sybil said genuinely. "I wouldn't miss it for anything." Mary insisted, and took her sister to begin the walk down the isle.

AN: There it is! The next chapter! I think that's as detailed about the wedding as I'm going to get! Don't hate, it's just because I want the story to be Mary Matthew centered! Review, let me know what you thought! I'll try to post again soon!
