AN: Don't worry I'm not dead. I've been trying to think more carefully fot these chapters just because I want these ones to be good out of all of them. Also, I have ten chapters done in that one story I keep taking about. I still don't know when I'll post it because it's a story that needs a lot of chapters posted at the start. So either way, here's what I got for everyone.

It has been another full week since I got people on dragons. Gobber never connected with any of the dragons we had so he just told me that he'd wait. I was a little bummed I couldn't find him a dragon counterpart but what could I do.

Throughout the week I have been training both the teens and the adults that are with me. Everyone is now flying on their dragons and people don't even look twice when dragons fly over. Along with that the teens are basically combat ready… basically. Snot and the Twins have an authority issue but their dragons help me out.

Then I was able to train with the Gladius with Astrid. She said that if I was going to teach in flight combat she was going to teach me on the ground. I happily agreed not having the time to train otherwise. But now, now my mom is suggesting something crazy.

"You can't be serious?!" I said not believing that she even asked. She nodded her head "I am, no offence Hiccup but I'm tired of watching you leave everyday while I stay here and do nothing." I grabbed the back of my head and paced for several seconds. What she was saying is crazy… but justified.

I took a quick deep breath realizing that this could be good for me, as long as it goes over smoothly that is "Fine, we'll find a way to bring you into the village but… you're going to be the one to tell dad." She nodded quickly "Yes, of course."

"And you're going to help me train some vikings fly." I said because I could only be with either the teens or the adults at one time and I was running on five hours of sleep a night. She can take one group and I the other "I'll go get dad and we'll try to figure out how to get this thing done." I told her before turning around.

Toothless lowered herself but I waved her off "I'm going to walk I… I need to think." She nodded and followed me out of the cove "Ok tell me what you're thinking." Toothless said once we were out of range of my mother. I looked at her for a second.

"It's just… I don't know how much more new things the village can take. I would love it but I'm just not sure how the village will act." She hummed for a second before raising an eye "Wait, why would it even matter? She's the alpha's mate…" I chuckled for a second at her terminology.

"Who's been dead for almost sixteen years." I pointed out "Wouldn't that just make them glad that she's returned?" She asked sounding confused "Well ya… but it's the questions after that I'm worried about. People aren't going to be happy that she's been "Playing with dragons" for sixteen years." I said air quoting.

"Well they had better accept, your dad won't have anything else." That part was true "I know, I just don't want her to be… the outcast… it's not a good feeling." I said knowing that she will understand "I understand your worry Hic, but she had friends before and she will now… like Gobber. If not then they weren't her friends."

I'd be lying if I said that she didn't convince me "Ok, now the question is how we bring her back." I said grabbing my chin "Why not just have her fly in with you? Get it all out of the way quickly." She suggested. I shook my head "Not without warning, that would be too much of a shock."

I paused before getting an idea "But, I could have my dad have people meet me in the arena… tell them it's important with dragon training." I said feeling more confident as I spoke "Then it's settled, that's how we'll do it." She said facing back forward. Now I just need to get my father on board.

oOo

I got dad and brought him back to mom telling him that it was important. When we arrived I had mom tell him her idea "That's crazy, no way!" He said before looking over at me "You're not actually thinking about this are you? As much as I love you Val I don't think people are ready."

I nodded "Yes, she will help me with training people on dragons. On my own it's getting to be exhausting and I need a little relief. Then I have my ground combat with Astrid… I don't have anymore time. I only get five to six hours of sleep. Toothless and I haven't flown all week." I said telling him how bogged down I am.

He looked between us and sighed "Fine, but what is your plan for this one?" I clasped my hands together and told him "That's it, just have her fly in?" He asked not believing what I was suggesting "Well ya, Toothless pointed out that people already know her and will be more likely to bring her back in."

"Thor help us on this one." I heard him mumbled under his breath before sighing "Fine… I assume you two want to do this today?" He said glancing at mom who was nodding her head "I can't stay in this cove any longer doing nothing while you two are writing history."

"Ok… I'll get everyone into the arena when we get back. You two figure everything else out." He said before leaving "Oh I can't believe I get to see everyone again." She said excited "Remember mom, you're dead and people change so don't expect a lot." I warned her.

She waved a hand at me "Eh, I wasn't a very popular person and only had a few friends. Only Gobber, the Hofferson's, and the Ingerman's." She said rubbing her chin "Really, I figured you'd have more friends." I said surprised.

She let out a sad smile "Well, I guess like you I didn't believe in very likable things." I looked away for a moment knowing what that meant. She was an outcast like me "How could you not be a popular person, you're the alpha's mate." Toothless said sounding like she didn't believe it. I of course translated.

"Well Toothless, in front of Stoick yes they were. But behind his back… not so much." I couldn't help but give her a hug. She laughed and patted me on the back "It's alright Hiccup, it's been a long time." I just squeezed her tighter knowing exactly how it felt.

After several seconds I let her go and back away "So, you wait outside the arena with Cloudjumper until I call you." I paused "I'm still not sure how everyone will take it so prepare yourself for insults… I really wish I don't have to say that." I told her mumbling the last part.

"I'll be fine Hiccup, really." She said standing up. Then I did remember something important "Oh mom… watch out for Mildew. That man can turn a crowd in seconds." I said warning her of the cranky but somehow charismatic old man.

"Ahhh Mildew, ya that old cranky fart has always given trouble. Why do you think his house is so far away?" I let out a little laugh "True, but seriously, watch out for him and don't let your emotions take over." She nodded in understanding before getting on Cloudjumper.

"I'm going to go hide then… I'll see you in a few." She said before taking off. I stared at her disappearing figure "She'll be fine Hiccup." I heard Toothless say behind me "I know… but I still worry." I replied pulling my eyes away.

She went up beside me and rubbed her head on my side. I smiled at the gesture and rubbed the top of her head "Guess we better go too then." I said slowly scratching behind her ear plates. She just purred for a second before taking her head away and lowering herself. I hopped on and went straight for the arena.

oOo

Here I am again standing in front of the entire village once more to tell them something huge… why is it always me? Toothless was still standing next to me keeping my nerves from exploding. We already told them that I have another "Big surprise" for them. Now they were just waiting for what.

"Cloudjumper… come in." I shouted with my mouth dry. A few seconds passed and the stormcutter landed right in the middle of the arena. Everyone went quiet "Hey isn't that the dragon that…" I heard someone start.

"Yes, this is the dragon that "Killed" me." Mom said cutting the man off as she jumped off of his back. Everyone was in complete shock. Then again I was shocked when I found out. But, like all the other times, the crowd exploded all at once asking questions.

I could tell that Cloudjumper was getting nervous, he's never been around so many vikings before "Everyone shut up!" I yelled. Thankfully they all did and looked at me "I assume you all know who this is." I said which got a few responses.

"How is she even alive?" I heard someone call "Because she found out about the true nature of dragons waaay before anyone else." I said to which they all started to mumble at that "She has decided to help me in training those who are on dragons." I told them.

"No no no, we have question that need to be answered." I heard Mildew say. I glanced over at mom and shrugged "Ok… go to the mead hall, you can get answers there. But when you are all done she WILL help me." That seemed to help as people started to leave.

I watched as the adult group of riders came over "So uh… no training today then Hiccup?" Phil asked. I shook my head "Not today, we have to clear this mess up." He nodded and went over to my mom "Never really knew ya Val but… welcome back." He said giving her a handshake. Everyone else followed suit.

"Thank you all. It's not going to be… weird having a dead person teach you is it." A few of them chuckled "Nah… your son rides a night fury, I think we'll manage." I was very happy at how this group got along at least "Well I guess we better head to the hall then shall we." She said before walking towards the exit with Cloudjumper.

I nodded and followed her with Toothless on my heels. She stayed silent the entire way to the hall. When we arrived everyone started to bomb her with questions faster than a speedstinger. I was about to tell them to quiet down once more but she spoke up.

"Meet me in the corner and I'll answer all of your questions one by one." She said before heading to a table and waving me over "I figured that you've already heard my story so why keep boring you. Go flying with Toothless, she looks like she needs it." She said into my ear.

"Are you sure you don't want me here?" I asked not wanting to leave her alone ""Hiccup I'm a full grown woman… I can handle it. Now go flying with your loved one." I blushed and nodded before walking out of the hall motioning Toothless to follow.

She looked at me with a confused look "Are we not going to stick around?" I shook my head "She doesn't want me around, she said that she wanted me to go on a nice flight with you." She stared at me for a second "If you wanted to go flying you didn't need an excuse." I laughed.

"No I'm serious, but I'd be lying if I said that I'm not feeling cooped up on the ground… so what do ya say?" She lowered herself "I thought I made it clear that I'm always up for a flight… even more so now." I smiled before getting on. But dad came out before we took off.

"Where are you going?" He asked taking a quick peek back inside "Mom told me to go on a flight. Said that she didn't want me around. Plus, Toothless hasn't been flying in a week. That's like a week without walking for us." He put up his hands "Ok ya ya I get it. Just… be safe." He said before going back inside.

We were about to take off again but this time Astrid came over to us "Hey Hiccup, you wanna train?" She asked with Stormfly following up behind her "Not today Astrid, I'm bringing Toothless on a flight. Haven't been out in a while." She nodded before patting Stormfly on the side "Ok cool, can we come with?"

I looked down at Toothless for a second and shook my head "Not today, just a solo flight… helps me clear my mind." She shoulders dropped for a split second before going back up again "Ok, but we will go on a flight together sometime." I nodded my head "Of course, see ya later Astrid." I said before taking off not wanting another diversion.

Once we were out of town I put my arms out and let the wind through them "Oh I needed this…" I mumbled. I continued like that for another few moments before bringing my arms back in "Tooth tree!" I yelled out watching it come up on us fast. She quickly flew up.

"S-sorry, thinking about something." I put a hand between her shoulders and rubbed "What it it? You're not worried for my mom are you cause she said she'd be fine." She shook her head "No it's not your mom… it's Astrid." My eye rose "Astrid? What about her?" I asked curious.

"Have you not noticed? It's clear as day." She was just confusing me more "Well I'm more of a night person so what is it?" I said wanting a straight answer "Think about it Hiccup. She's spending more time with you, she's being nicer, and she's even taking time out of her day to help you train."

"I still don't see what you mean?" She groaned "For being so smart you are being thick headed. She "Likes" you ." It took me a few seconds until I realized what she said "N-no you must be misunderstanding, she's just a friend." I said going on the defensive.

She sighed "That's not what I mean. I mean that I believe that SHE is falling for YOU." My mouth opened "Oh… that's what you mean." I said rubbing the back of my head "Yes, and I'm giving you warning because I'm sure your father believes that too." I quickly understood where she was going.

"So what am I going to do about it? Plus I can't be sure about that." She shrugged "No idea and I'm pretty sure, maybe not, but I'm pretty confident." I stared off now thinking of it myself, in the past this would be a dream come true. But now… not so much.

I chuckled at my situation "What's so funny?" She asked under me "Nothing it's just… a year ago I could only dream of Astrid being in love with me." I could feel her shoulders drop. I rolled my eyes and kissed the top of her head "Obviously that is no longer the case." She started to purr now.

I chuckled again and rubbed the top of her head "Don't worry Tooth, nothing could veer you away from me now." She continued to purr for a few seconds "Soo…. how about we take some time and go on a nice flight shall we?" She nodded and I was happy that she was happy again "Then let's be on our way."

oOo

We decided to fly until dark, I didn't want to have to do anything today. We did both speed and casual again but right now I was just enjoying the view "I'm glad we could do this Tooth." I said looking up at the northern lights which came out tonight "Me too Hic."

I sighed and sat back up "Well… do you think we should go back or do you want to stay out a little longer?" I asked. She hummed under me for a second "Well… if it's allright by you I want to stay out a little longer. Since we don't know when we can do this again." I nodded "Sounds good to me."

We continued to fly around for another good ten minutes until we decided to call it quits. Then we went straight for the hall, even though she might not be there because it was pretty late. When we got there I hopped off and quickly looked inside and found her in the corner still.

But no one else was here. I walked over to her "How was the flight?" She asked as I got near her "It was nice, we needed that. So how did it go here?" She shrugged before patting Cloudjumper "It was… chaotic to say the least. But everyone seems satisfied at what they told them so I'll help you starting tomorrow." I smiled and nodded.

"That's good, now all I have left on my todo list is… kill a behemoth." She put her hand on my shoulder "Don't even stress it Hiccup, with the progress we have going on here we are sure to win." I nodded and turned to Cloudjumper "You know… I think we might need a bigger house."

She let out a little laugh "I suppose we do, poor Cloudjumper here wouldn't even fit in the living room." I let out a little laugh of my own "So where are you staying then?" I asked "Oh here of course. I already ask and everyone said it's fine and that they'll wake us when the day starts."

"Ok cool… do you want us to stay in here with you?" I asked taking a quick peek at Toothless "No no, you two go to the house please don't change because of me." She said waving her hands "Ok… well goodnight then I guess." I said giving her a quick hug "Night Hiccup."

I turned around and walked out with Toothless. Once out we went straight for my house. When we got inside I went straight up and lied down next to Toothless "Oh so comfy." I said snuggling into her feeling tired "Hiccup?" I shifted to look at her "Yes Tooth?"

"I love you." I smiled and rubbed her side "Right back at you Tooth." I said scratching under her chin just out of the "Knockout" zone. After a second I pulled my and back and closed my eyes "Night Tooth." I mumbled "Night Hic." I continued to smiled as sleep took me over.

'I finally have my mother back home.'

AN: I figured that Val would started to feel left out sitting in the forest all day everyday. So I know it's not the most actiony but hey, I added a little fluff in just to make up for it... and maybe because I couldn't help myself. Also, I am going to mention that my upload time is slower because I'm writting something else like I said and because I'm trying to not rush the ending for this. But who knows, I'm a random person... anyways here's the reviews.

Scribe0magic- Eh probably not but you never know.

Viper4K- Thank you. Oh, and I have a LOT more to this that what meets the eye. Drago, maybe Dagur, maybe Alvin, and of course I have an OC in mind as well. Like I said, lot's of plans.

Shadows Rise From The Tides- :-) I'd be lying if I said writting it isn't fun.

you'redeath is near- Glad you think so.

Mukuro234- Thanks.

ArthurShade- Thanks.

leetom- Yaaaay, it's the best. Hehe, thanks that means a lot to me.

inuyasha16451- Well... I'd be spoiling it if I said anything so I'll say maybe.

Thank you to everyone that reviews and I hoped you like the response. Also, I am truly sorry at how long I took for this chapter. I didn't realized how long it's been until I finished this all up. But what can I do now other than say I hope you liked it and I'll see all you guys in the next chapter.

You took the time to read this; you can take the time to review
