I'm really hyped up right now and I don't know why. Probs because I'll be starting school in one day and I don't want to go to school. And to escape reality I ended up here, in front of the computer, typing like a maniac.

Ikuto drove Amu to a restaurant called Morvie's. It was a nice place, small and simple, and the food looked absolutely delicious.

"What would you like?" A waitress came over to their table, and was actually quite baffled at Ikuto's gorgeous appearance. Well, who wouldn't be. His looks could make straight men turn gay. Amu chuckled a little at the thought.

"Tomato sauce tagliatelle with lemon and herbs for me, please." Amu then nodded towards Ikuto.

"Any recommendations?" he asked the waitress with a wink. Amu rolled her eyes. What charm.

"Uh... um..." The waitress stuttered. "The spicy chicken is q-quite known in our restaurant. W-would you like to place an order?" Ah. The poor chick. She was shaking. She probably wasn't used to a boy's attention.

"Sure." He flashed her a dazzling smile as the last touch up. The waitress giggled a little and left.

"Ha ha, very funny." Amu was smilng though.

"You know me well, don't you?" Ikuto said, shrugging.

"I never knew you could take up spice," said Amu with an amused expression on her face. A lot of people here did order the spicy chicken, but from the looks of it, the spice would actually make you breathe fire through your nostrils (not literally speaking).

"Uh, no. I'm just eating something that would make me have a sore throat so I can skip work and hang out with you."

Amu laughed. "You are such the charmer."

"I was actually serious." Their eyes met for a moment and Amu felt a familiar heat creep up to her cheeks.

To break the tension, Amu looked away and took a sip of water from her glass. "Well, good luck on that. It probably depends on your immunity."

"Oh." Ikuto mocked a groan. "I am just too immune to sicknesses."

Amu laughed and they chatted away like they had never done before. The food soon arrived, and Amu actually enjoyed it. The food was pretty high class, and the price wasn't exorbitant, considering Ikuto was from a wealthy family.

"My treat," said Ikuto, gulping down the tenth glass of water and used his fork to poke at the chicken. "Have you any interest to try this? It's killing my throat." Amu opened her mouth to reply, and Ikuto took the chance to stick the chicken into her mouth. Amu shot him a glare and chewed, then swallowed.

"Hey, that tastes really good," said Amu, eyes widening. "Gimme more if you don't want that."

"Let's exchange plates."

Amu gave him an uneasy look. "Uh, saliva alert?"

"We're a couple, Amu," said Ikuto, chuckling at the blush that had once again appeared on her face. "Kissing would involve more saliva." As the dishes were exchanged, Amu felt her face redden more.

"Don't say that so straightforwardly you friggin idiot."

They continued with their food until Ikuto's phone rang.

"Sorry, Amu. Have to take this phone call," he said, and hurried towards the toilet area.

"Ikuto, oh god." Utau was shaking as the call reached through. "Dad drove me to Morvie's and I thought he was being nice, but apparently this is a surprise meeting with my fiance. Oh god. What do I do, I can't leave now, Dad is down the street to take my fiance here, and I am just so scared-"

"Calm down, Utau." Ikuto's voice was comforting. "I am at Morvie's too. So chill. If anything happens, I'll come to your aid."

"Thank god you're here!" Utau felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Please, come here, I am sure dad won't mind because you're family. Please? I-I've never been so nervous before." Her pleas were desperate, and Ikuto, as a friend, couldn't bear to turn her down.

After all, he does empathize with her, being the former unwilling marriage prawn of his parents'.

"I... I will be outside in a few."

"Business call?" said Amu, smiling, still enjoying her plate of chicken. When there was no reply, she cocked an eyebrow. "Well?"

"Yeah..." He lied, forcing a smile. "Are you done with your food?"

"Quite. I'm full." She put down her fork. "And you?"

"Very." he called for the waitress and paid the bill. "I'll escort you through the back door. Uh, I have to stay here because I have to see someone."

When Amu looked confused, he quickly said "Work."

Amu shrugged and nodded, but Ikuto couldn't help but feel he had done something absolutely terrible. However, he didn't want Amu to misunderstand him. If he had told her that he was meeting with Utau, she might get the wrong idea.

"Sorry, can't send you home tonight." He kissed her on the cheek and admired the faint blush that lightened up Amu's face. His fingers lingered on her hair and he kissed her on the forehead. "Love you."

Amu had not blushed that much in her entire life. "I-I"

Ikuto chuckled. "Yeah, I know you love me too. Goodnight."

Amu gave his arm a playful punch and left, not knowing that Ikuto's eyes had watched her until her shadow disappeared from his sight.

"Sorry," he whispered one more time before slipping to the front door to greet the familiar yellow-haired girl.

Is it just me, or was he extra jumpy tonight? Amu wondered, frowning. She reached to her bag to pull out her phone and gasped. She'd left her phone. In the restaurant.

"Oh, damnit." She facepalmed and headed back to Morvie's.

Oh shit. Look at that.
