Chapter 29
The Date Part One
Lucy
I stumbled around my apartment, trying to find the perfect outfit for my date. I had barely gotten any sleep that night due to the anticipation of my date tonight. It was my first real date, and it was with a guy I really liked. I was so excited, but I also didn't know what to wear. After all Loke never specified where we'd be going, so I didn't have a clue what kind of clothes I needed to wear. In the end I went with a light blue halter top with ruffles and a plain blue skirt.
Then after that I called Cancer and he did my hair up in a bun with part of my hair hanging down in waves on the side of my face. After that I put on a little makeup and waited for Loke to show up.
I had finished getting ready a little early, but I didn't really mind waiting a little while. While I was waiting I was writing my novel a little, and I got so caught up in what I was writing I didn't notice when the clock struck eleven and a certain Celestial Spirit appeared in my apartment and started reading over my shoulder.
Eventually I felt the presence of someone behind me and was shocked to see Loke standing behind me, smiling. "You're a good writer, you know that Lucy?"
"Loke!" I yelled, snatching up my novel and hiding it in my desk. "Why were you reading over my shoulder without even telling me you were here!"
"Oh come on love, I just wanted to see what my girl was doing. Is it wrong for a boyfriend to be curious?" He asked, laughing. I sighed, and even though I was still annoyed I decided to forgive him. "You know you look beautiful today Lucy." He said, which made my cheeks turn pink.
"Thanks, so where are we going?" I asked, excited for his answer.
"Well, that's for me to know and you to find out." He said and winked. He wasn't wearing his glasses, and his eyes were sparkling in the light. "But I know that you'll love it Lucy."
We walked for a while, and the whole way I had butterflies in my stomach. I had liked Loke for so long now, and now I was going on a date with him. It was extremely scary, especially with this being my first date. I couldn't wait to find out where he was taking me, and I was trying to guess the whole way there.
Finally Loke stopped walking, and he started to speak. "Okay Lucy, we're almost there, but I want you to close your eyes. I want this to be a surprise, alright?"
I did what I was told and closed my eyes, and I could feel Loke put his arms on my shoulders to lead me. "No peeking." He said, and I laughed.
"I promise I won't look." I said, and Loke started leading me forward. It took about a minute of walking, but eventually Loke stopped me and said "Okay, you can open your eyes now." I did, and saw we were standing outside this little café I had never seen before.
I walked inside, and was in awe of what I saw. Inside there were tables and chairs like in a normal café, but there were also food trays serving food on their own. There was magic everywhere and the entire place seemed to be run by the stuff. I only saw one staff member, and that was the girl who led us to a table.
Soon after we sat down a pad and paper floated up to us to take our order, and I laughed. "I didn't even know this place existed! How did you find it?"
"Well, I did live here for a few years, so I found quite a few cool spots. So you like it?" He asked smiling at the look on my face.
"Are you kidding? I love it! Thank you so muck Loke." I smiled back at him. I was very happy to be at this cool place, but being here with him made me ten times happier.
We talked and laughed, and I was so happy that my first date was with him. I felt like I could be myself around him, and that I could tell him anything.
After lunch we walked along the river a little, and I wished this day would never end. We then decided to go to the park, and we sat there for a while.
"So Lucy, enjoying this day so far?" Loke asked me. We were sitting on a park bench, holding hands the whole time.
I smiled at the ginger and said "Of course I am you stupid lion."
Loke smiled back at me. He then lifted up his arm and put around me, pulling me in close. I looked back up into his eyes and saw that they were full of joy, just like I knew mine were. "I'm so glad you like it Lucy. I have to admit this is one of the best days of my life. I wouldn't want to spend this day with anyone else, Lucy. You make me feel complete."
I blushed again as he leaned in to kiss me, and I closed my eyes. It was the most amazing feeling in the world, being kissed by someone who you love. I really can't explain it, but something felt magical about it.
I never wanted that moment to end, but unfortunately it did far too soon. After Loke pulled a way he pulled me in closer to him. I leaned in, my head resting against his chest. All of a sudden I felt his other arm move and he picked me up bridal style.
"Loke, what are you doing!?" I half screamed half laughed as he started carrying me away.
"Well princess, I have one more surprise for you tonight…"
