The first day of Sebastian watch for Grell and he already wanted to use his death scythe on himself. He spent the entire night watching for any change in Sebastian's temperature when Ciel had fallen asleep. Which wasn't so bad, until Sebastian nearly choked himself coughing and pulled out a few stitches. He had to restitch the wound while calming the pained butler, which was not easy since the butler detested the red-head and had put up a fight. When the boy woke up that morning, he did not hesitate to scold the shinigami for Sebastian needing restitching.

"You idiot! How could you be so careless?"

"How is it my fault if he was the one who sat up?"

"Then you should've held him down! What, you couldn't do that? I would've thought that was one of your little fantasies."

"Oh please, in my fantasies I'm the one who's being held down."

"...shut up...both of you..." Sebastian growled irritated, interrupting the two of them.

"Seba-chan..." Grell whined, feeling hurt.

He glared at the red-head, a dark aura surrounding him like a halo. "...I barely slept anything s-since the surgery...and now I c-can't with you two bickering about your stupid sex dreams...s-so shut...the...hell...up..."

With that he closed his eyes.

"S-so this is why Sebas-chan wanted me to help?" Grell asked nervously.

"Partially," Ciel said as he felt Sebastian's temperature, "his fever rose a bit, hasn't it? I'll go get some ice water, you stay here with Sebastian."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Grell asked nervously.

"I'll only be gone for a couple of minutes. You'll be fine."

Before Grell could argue, the boy went out the door.

"Ah...Sebas-chan?" He hesitated.

"...what...?"

"Is there anything you need?"

"...n-no...just let me sleep..."

He sat awkwardly next to the butler, unsure of what to do. How do you take care of a sick person? Usually they're dead by the time I get to them.

He noticed the butler shiver slightly and moved his hands over to the covers, pulling them to his chin. His pointed chin...strong jawline...long, beautiful eyelashes... He hovered over Sebastian's face, admiring how smooth his white skin was and the ebony tresses that framed his sleeping face. He grinned. My, doesn't Sebas-chan look extremely sexy? His eyes trailed down to his lips, such soft, pale flesh that curved so seductively to Grell. How delicious a kiss from him would taste... He leaned in, lips pursed and cheek rosy with excitement. It was then that Sebastian suddenly woke up and roughly shoved the shinigami off of him, causing pain to erupt inside.

"Aaaughhh..." he cried, eyes screwed shut and arms wrapped around his stitched stomach.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Grell cried, shielding himself away from the butler's wrath. But when nothing happened, he peeked through his raised arms.

"...Grell Sutcliffe..." Sebastian called to him.

"Yes?" he asked as he got closer.

His hand grabbed a hold onto Grell's face, his nails etched into his flesh as he pulled him closer.

"...an ugly, pathetic excuse for a shinigami...so obsessed with chasing after me he constantly fails at a job so simple it's actually quite sad to watch...why don't you do everyone a favor and just disappear since no one could ever miss you if you were gone..."

Grell stood awkwardly, his heart crashing to his stomach. He ran out the door, wailing and crying past Ciel as he entered.

"What just happened?"

"...you're back...young earl..."

Ciel reacted slightly, realizing who was before him. "Oh no, not you again. What did you do?"

"...just had a little chat...though I might have said s-something that could have offended him..."

Ciel sighed, running after the red-head. After hours of searching, he found him curled up on the roof.

"Grell?"

"H-h-he called me ugly," he wailed. Waterfalls came out of his eyes as he cried.

My god, he's worse than Finny. At least he didn't flood the place when he cries. Unfortunately, Ciel needed Grell to come back with him to deal with this part of Sebastian. But how to convince him...

"Grell, this is exactly why Sebastian asked you to stay. If you wish to go, I will understand. It wasn't fair of Sebastian to put all his trust on you."

"...h-he t-t-trusts me?"

"Yes, so if you choose to stay and help me, it would be greatly appreciated," Ciel said.

"I'll stay, for Seba-chan." Grell said, feeling encouraged to help the butler.

Too easy...

They returned, finding Sebastian coughing harshly into his pillow.

"Sebastian, breathe. We're right here," Ciel soothed, immediately standing by his side.

"Would you like some water?" Grell asked nervously. Sebastian nodded weakly, and the red-head brought the glass to his lips.

"His fever spiked," Ciel informed the shinigami, "quick, bring me some cold water."

They cooled him down and watched over him until Ciel couldn't stay awake and dozed off. Grell continued to care for Sebastian, so intensely focused he didn't see him stir.

"...g...Grell..."

"S-Sebastian, y-you're up..."

"Why are you stuttering like that?" "Did something happen?"

"You don't recall calling me ugly?"

"...I did...?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, "...I must still have the Agonia..."

"You have that? And you're still alive?!" the shinigami cried. He had heard rumors of the disease, and they weren't pretty. He had even seen a few of it's victims when he was a death scythe wielding rookie.

"...yes...I'm sorry...about earlier...this is why I needed you to stay...my personalities switch from time to time...it's my duty to keep the master safe..."

"Yes, yes, I'm aware of it. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere."

A small, relieved smile graced his face as he drifted off. Grell blushed, wiggling in his seat and gushing about how Seba-chan is so cute.
