Hello all!

I sincerely apologize for such a long wait for a new Chapter update, I haven't updated since last year! *cue horrified silence*

This is my way of wrapping up in a way the last few chapters of looking at her past. This chapter will serve as a bridge into the next part of the story as it wraps up a few loose ends and settles the characters back down into their usual chaotic routine. I hope you all enjoy this next update and I am really looking forward to posting the next few chapters!

Enjoy!

Part of a New Family

"And here I am now." Naomi finished.

The hosts were silent as they looked at each other.

"So you and Kyoya talked while you were hacking? That's how you guys met Neko-chan?" Hunny finally asked.

"Yes."

Hunny giggled.

"That's funny!"

Tamaki threw his arms open wide, nearly hitting Haruhi in the face and actually hitting Hikaru.

"Don't worry! Even though you have a shady past we know your a better person and hearing this only makes us love you more!"

Both Hikaru and Kaoru turned on Tamaki with matching glares.

"Are you calling our sister shady?"

Tamaki started to sputter but Naomi waved her hand.

"Oh stop acting like drama queens. Even if he did call me shady he would be fully accurate."

Haruhi cocked her head.

"So you weren't in love with your boyfriend?"

Naomi shrugged.

"Nope. I wasn't at a place where I really cared about the whole true love stuff."

Haruhi lapsed back into silence before nodding. Naomi finally sighed.

"Would you guys relax? This is why I did't want to talk about my past. I knew you would all act weird after. I'm no different a person then I was before, my past was still my past and the only change is you now know it. So say something!"

There was a tense silence before the twins grinned and slunk over and bent down close to her face.

"So you were a bad little party girl?"

Naomi smirked.

"Is that such a bit surprise?"

The twins laughed and dropped back onto their seats on the couch across from Naomi.

"Nope, just double checking."

Tamaki bounced in his seat.

"So did Onyx ever beg to have you back? Declare his undying love for you?"

Naomi burst into laughter.

"Not hardly! I told you, our relationship was one of convenience."

Tamaki nodded and Naomi rolled her eyes as she stood to her feet.

"The official Naomi Question and Answer session is now over. I'm gonna head out."

Kyoya smoothly stood behind her and together they walked out of the room. They walked down to his limo in silence and no one spoke until the door was closed and the limo had pulled onto the road.

"Now that they've finally asked you about your past I believe it's time we talk about us."

Naomi nodded.

"You're right."

They headed over to a coffee shop and after receiving their orders they took a seat in a back corner.

"So..."

Kyoya pushed his glasses up on his nose before straightening in his seat.

"First off. I am not like Onyx and some of the other guys you grew up around. I'm not interested in dating for convenience."

Naomi held his gaze unwaveringly.

"Neither am I. My relationship with Onyx was because I was desperate for someone I could trust and someone I could act like a idiot with. He was a friend that supported me when I was with my grandfather."

Then Naomi took a shaking breath. Responding to Kyoya kissing her on the night of the fair was one thing. Actually vocalizing her feelings was completely different.

"Kyoya, I'm not sitting here because I'm playing. Your so much more then a game and I-..."

Kyoya was quiet as Naomi groaned and raked her fingers through her hair.

"I am so not good at this stuff."

A hint of a smile crossed his face.

"Then how about I talk."

Naomi nodded in relief.

"I'm going to tell you why I'm doing this and then you need to make a decision. I'm not doing this for the fun of it."

Then his face went completely serious and his eyes darkened.

"I'm playing for keeps. If we date, I intend to take this all the way to marriage one day. And I am telling you now that if you are't comfortable with that to say something now. I do not want my heart broken in the future."

Naomi nodded.

"I know. I feel the way that I do about you because your a steady rock. You won't play with my heart and your in this for the long run...just like me."

Kyoya smiled softly.

"Just so we have that cleared up."

Naomi nodded.

"Yes."

Then she leaned back in her chair with a long sigh.

"That settled, can I just say that this is one of the single longest days of my life."

Kyoya chuckled.

"I can tell. Glad the storytelling part of the day is over?"

Naomi nodded vigorously.

"Yes!"

That weekend Naomi was sleeping peacefully when her door as thrown open and two people jumped on top of her.

"Whaaaaa?!"

Naomi bolted up and nearly smacked heads with Hikaru who was in fits of laughter.

"You sounded like a shrieking cat!"

Naomi glared at him and thumped him on the head with her palm.

"And your about to die."

Hikaru and Kaoru both laughed before glomping her much to her displeasure.

"Get off or die."

The twins laughed again before climbing off her bed.

"Why are you bugging me?"

Kaoru and Hikaru exchanged incredulous looks.

"Your joking right?!"

Naomi gave them a blank look and they collapsed theatrically across her bed.

"It's your first date today and you forgot?!"

Naomi rolled her eyes.

"Course I didn't forget you idiots. But it's at two this afternoon! And right now it's only nine in the bloody morning! Now GET OUT!"

Naomi dived back under her warm covers as she muttered some choice things about her brothers. Moments later her covers were ripped away and she was accosted by two evil twins as they carried her to the washroom, turned the shower onto ice cold and then dumped her in the tub.

Her shriek could have been heard clear across the country as Naomi reacted to the icy spray.

"YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!"

Two o'clock that afternoon rolled around and Naomi could be found sitting at the front door in leggings and a sweater dress with her hair done nicely and her makeup looking fresh thanks to Kaoru and Hikaru who had forced her to endure hours of trying on outfits and make up styles before finally settling on what she was wearing now.

Then the doorbell rang and Naomi bolted for the door, opening it just wide enough to squeeze out and close it behind her.

"Quick! Run before they get downstairs!"

Kyoya stared at Naomi, startled by her sudden arrival. He only hesitated a moment but it was a moment to long because the front door was ripped open by Hikaru,Kaoru and Tamaki who had all dressed in black leather motorcycle outfits.

Naomi groaned as they all struck tough guy poses.

"You harm our daughter in any way and you will answer to me!" Tamaki declared passionately before bursting into tears and grabbing Naomi into a bear hug.

"My daughter's all grown up!"

Then the twins yanked her away and sandwiched her between them.

"Upset our sister and they won't ever find your bodies." They warned.

Naomi dead panned.

"That's nice. Now let go."

"NEVER!" Naomi then was squished between the three idiots as they sobbed and wailed about her growing up.

She attempted to force herself free but they had vice like grips on her.

"Takashi! Save Neko-chan!"

Naomi froze.

"Hunny?!"

Suddenly Naomi was airborne as Mori plucked her from the idiot trio's grasp and she was carried to the limo before being shoved in next to Kyoya. Mori and Hunny climbed in behind them before Hunny told the driver to "step on it!"

Naomi stared at the two older boys with gaping jaws.

"You- how- why-"

Hunny's lips twitched.

"We don't understand one word sentences Neko-chan. Sorry."

Naomi closed her eyes and took a deep calling breath before opening her eyes again and looking at them.

"Why on earth are all of you determined to stalk me and make my life as difficult as possible today?!"

Mori cracked a smile at her words and Hunny giggled.

"Silly Neko-chan. Everyone's doing this because your part of a new family, our family. We'd do the same for Haru-chan. Your one of us so we protect you and warn future boyfriends, even if the future boyfriend is one of our own."

Naomi grumbled under her breath before giving a large sigh.

"Oh well, at least your not wearing motorcycle outfits." She muttered.

Hunny giggled as they pulled up outside a theatre building

"Why are we here?"

Kyoya smiled.

"Well I was planning to take us to the first performance of the world renowned musical Les Misérables but if you would prefer something else..."

"Your taking me to see Les Misérables?!"

Kyoko nodded and Naomi grinned and bounced in place as they pulled up to the curb. Once the limo had stopped and the driver had opened the door Kyoya hopped out before reaching a hand in to Naomi.

Naomi grinned and accepted the gesture, climbing out with Mori and Hunny behind her.

"Thanks for rescuing us from the idiot trio." Naomi said as she turned to face Hunny and Mori.

"No problem." Mori rumbled.

"Yeah...hey Kyo-chan?" Hunny said innocently.

Kyoya looked over at the Loli-Shota host.

"Yes?"

"Hurt Neko-chan and you'll answer to us." He said darkly, cracking his knuckles.

Naomi stared at her older friends open mouthed.

"Have a good time!" Hunny suddenly exclaimed, cheerful personality back as he and Mori climbed back into their limo and drove off.

"I am at a loss for words." Naomi grumbled.

Kyoya laughed and offered an arm with an amused smirk.

"Shall we go?"

Naomi smiled.

"Yes."

Kyoya lead Naomi to the ticket booth and and slid a folded email through the slot. When the attendant read the email she grinned and slid two tickets get to them.

"Have a good time Ootori-san, Fujiwara-san."

Kyoya nodded to the women while a grinning Naomi tugged him towards the entrance. Kyoya laughed and walked with Naomi to the entrance, showing their tickets before heading into the theatre and taking his seat with Naomi.

Once the play started Naomi's eyes were glued to the state and her eyes glittered with excitement.

Kyoya was also enjoying the play as well but he as far more focused on watching Naomi's face as her expressions went through more changes then he could count as the story progressed.

During a partially suspenseful part Naomi leaned forward and reached to grab the arms only to freeze in place as her hand grabbed his instead. Kyoya had to swallow a chuckle as a tiny blush became rather prominent on both her cheekbones.

Kyoya smirked and flipped his hand over to grab Naomi's and thread his fingers through her's. His smirk only grew as he watched the blush spread across her cheeks as she stared steadfastly ahead.

It took several minutes before she relaxed in his hold. Eventually he glanced over at her again and saw that she was one again fully involved on the story. A evil little thought popped into Kyoya's head and he debated whether it was worth it or not before grinning and shrugging before beginning to rub her hand with his thumb.

Instantly Naomi's back straightened and she whipped her head to stare at Kyoya only to see a rare grin on her boyfriends face.

"Wh-what are you doing?!" She hissed, trying to sound unaffected and failing miserably.

"You know, red is a nice colour on you." He teased.

Naomi shot him a look before sighing and shaking her head goodnaturedly.

"Stop being a brat and watch the play." She mock scolded.

Kyoya laughed softly and relaxed back in his chair as he refocused on the play.

Naomi sat in her chair and glanced at Kyoya out of the side of her eye. She had never felt like this before and she had most certainly not ever blushed at something so small as holding hands with a guy!

But here she sat, blushing like a schoolgirl and trying to ignore the electric feeling of Kyoya's hand holding hers.

What had she come to?!

So what did you think? Reviews are welcome! Flames shall be laughed at, posted for others to laugh at, and ignored as I continue the story.
