Alfred wasn't all that sure how long it took to get Australia using the plane, but he knew it must have been long enough seeing as he found himself leaning against Logan whilst drooling on the Australian's shoulder.

Logan looked at it with slight disgust but said nothing on the matter. The vampire merely wiped it off with the back of his hand.

"Sorry." Alfred said before covering his mouth to catch his yawn.

Logan waved the apology off and helped Alfred out of his chair. "It's fine. We're here now so I can get cleaned up when we get to the house." Logan said before walking down the aisle of the plane and down the stairs that led outside.

The two stepped off the plane slowly and once they were off, Logan ushered Alfred to a nearby black car.

They both slid into the back seat in silence and waited patiently for the car to start moving. Normally, Alfred would have started up a conversation, but now he just didn't feel up to it.

He felt drained both emotionally and physically.

Logan seemed to notice Alfred's unusual bout of silence and asked,"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing." Alfred said. Even the American teen wasn't sure if it was just nothing or if there was actually something genuinely wrong. He didn't really care all that much at the moment though.

"I can tell it's not nothing." Logan said. When Alfred didn't respond, the Australian vampire started to understand what was bothering the teen.

"You miss Arthur." It wasn't a question. It was a statement.

Alfred knew it wasn't a question but he nodded his head anyways as a yes. Logan saw this and sat back in his seat and sighed.

"Don't. When all of this is over, you're going to regret missing him. He is not worth missing. Trust me." Logan said. Alfred noted that there was a hint of bitterness and anger.

Alfred turned to look at Logan curiously. What made the man go from calm and collected to angry and just plain old pissed off? It happened so fast too. What could Arthur have done to Logan that made the vampire sitting next to Alfred so angry?

"I guess I haven't told you much about me and Arthur's past, have I?" Logan asked suddenly.

Alfred looked at the man shocked since it was just all of a sudden brought up, but the teen shook his head indicating he hadn't heard.

Logan leaned back in his seat and stared at the ceiling of the car before saying,"You know the relationship your brother has with Michelle?" Alfred didn't really see how his brother's relationship with the girl was really relevant to the conversation but nodded his head and continued to listen.

"Well, I virtually had the same relationship with Arthur." Logan paused for only a few seconds so that he could gather his emotions together before he continued. "I was taken off of a random street in the midst of a town in England. I was supposed to be food for the King. But when Arthur bit me, he couldn't bring himself to finish me off. He turned me instead."

Here he stopped again, this time to let the info sink in for Alfred. After about a minute, Logan continued on. "He kept me as a lover of sorts much like Michelle is doing with your brother. I was not Arthur's true partner, but he loved me more than anything at the time. Or so I believed."

Logan stopped yet again and took a deep breath. Alfred looked at the man and saw that the Australian looked pained almost. The vampire looked like even doing something so simple as remembering what happened then was physically painful for him.

Once the Australian regained his composure, he said,"At one point I was framed for a crime I didn't commit and was sentenced to death. Arthur didn't even listen to me when I tried to tell him it wasn't me. He had me sent to Australia to be killed but I ended up escaping."

Logan took on a more casual look then as he said,"For years after that I hid from the sight of other vampires. Throughout the years since then, I've been recruiting fellow vampires who are opposed to Arthur's rule. I guess you could say we have our own separate kingdom now."

Alfred had stayed relatively quiet throughout the whole thing, but once Logan was done, he still couldn't bring himself to say anything. What could he say though? Had he learned of Logan and Arthur's history earlier then he probably would have thought that Logan would have it out for him.

But the man was the complete opposite. He wasn't some jealous, washed-up ex-boyfriend. The vampire was actually rather caring and thoughtful. Logan was definitely the opposite of what he probably should have been.

"Um, how much longer until we get to your place?" The teen didn't really know what else to say. How could he though? He had never experienced something quite like this before.

"In another hour or so." Logan answered while studying Alfred's body and face. The teen seemed awefully tired. Whether it was from taking the plane or from receiving all this new information, Logan didn't know.

"That's good. I think I'd like to sleep or something." Alfred said. Logan looked at the teen's face and noticed dark circles under his eyes.

"Looks like jet lag. How about you just lay back? I'll wake you up when we get there." Logan said before leaning over and kissing Alfred on his cheek.

Alfred blushed lightly at the small show of affection. He didn't think too much of it though. From the way things were looking, Logan had a good chance of becoming his partner.

As he thought about his possible future with Logan, Alfred sank into a deep sleep.

To the teen, the dreamless sleep seemed a bit short-lived. It didn't even feel like he was actually sleeping for at least a few minutes before he was being shook by someone or something.

Alfred woke up then and found himself staring into the emerald eyes of Logan.

"Why hello there, sleepy-head. We've arrived. Keep yourself awake for just a little longer." Logan said. The man held his hand out for Alfred to take and waited patiently for the teen to take it.

Alfred, while still a bit groggy, took Logan's hand and hauled himself out of his seat. The Australian helped Alfred out of the car before walking him over to a nearby large house.

The American looked at his surroundings while still half asleep but saw that the house was surrounded by a large, dense forest. The forest wasn't the only thing that Alfred was starting to notice though. How he had failed to feel it before, he didn't know, but it was stifling hot out.

Alfred fanned himself lazily as he followed Logan into the hopefully air-conditioned house.

The teen was pleasantly surprised to find that the house was. He breathed a breath of fresh air and looked around to find himself staring at several feral-looking vampires who were staring hungrily back at him like he was supposed to be lunch.

Alfred was wide awake then as he stopped walking and looked at all of them with a rather disturbed expression written all over his face. They were really creepy-looking in his opinion and they looked like they were about ready to eat him. He wouldn't put it past them either.

"Knock it off." Logan snapped as he waved them off like they were a pack of dogs eager to be fed by their master.

The vampires immediately backed off but didn't stop staring at Alfred like he was a large chunk of steak. They kept their eyes on the boy's nervous frame until Logan had the teen out of sight.

The Australian quickly got Alfred to his room and watched as the teen crashed on the bed almost immediately. His sleepiness had come back ten fold and he was about ready to just crash any second.

Before he could though, Logan walked over to the bed and leaned over Alfred's body. "What's the matter?" Alfred asked with a large yawn.

Logan kissed the teen's cheek softly before saying,"I'm a bit thirsty. Do you mind if I drink from you?" Maybe Alfred was just hearing things, but Logan's voice sounded a little too sweet.

Alfred didn't think too much of it though and exposed his neck in silent confirmation. He was rather used to feeding Arthur and so letting Logan take some blood didn't feel like it would be too big of a deal.

Logan needed nothing else. He immediately dipped his head down and sank his fangs as gently as he could into Alfred's smooth skin. The teen cried out in slight pain but was immediately cut off as the venom started coursing through his veins and setting his body, figuratively, on fire.

Alfred unconciously wrapped his arms around the man's back and pulled lightly on the man's brown hair.

He couldn't get enough. Had this feeling been so intoxicating before whenever Arthur had bit him? He couldn't bring himself to remember nor to really care whether he had.

After a few short minutes of sucking gently, Logan released his neck and wiped his mouth of any blood that may have spilling over.

Once his own mouth was clean, Logan leaned in and licked the two puncture holes that had been left by his bite. He pulled away and watched as the skin stitched itself back together before laying down on the bed beside the drowsy teen.

"You can go ahead and sleep if you'd like." Logan whispered.

Alfred nodded his head and yawned once again. "Sounds good to me. Do you mind sleeping with me?"

The teen figured that was probably rather sudden, but his body was missing someone sleeping next to him and Logan was the only one nearby that he trusted enough.

"Sure." the vampire answered with a wry smile. The man practically picked Alfred up like a child before he threw back the covers on the bed. Logan took off the necessary articles of clothing before sliding the teen underneath the inviting sheets.

The vampire stripped himself of his own clothing then before sliding into bed alongside the teen.

Alfred's eyes had felt like they had weights on them before, but when Logan slipped his arm around him he couldn't help but give in and close his eyes.

"Don't let me sleep for too long." Alfred murmured lazily. Only a few moments later did Logan hear the teen's breathing even out and his body relaxed considerably.

"Oh, don't worry about that. I think a little friend of ours will be here fairly soon anyways." Logan whispered with a smirk on his face.

The vampire untangled his arms from around the sleeping teen before slipping out of bed once again. He quickly took hold of the clothes he had thrown carelessly on the floor before and slipped back into them.

Logan's green eyes shot over to Alfred's sleeping form before he crept over to the door. The vampire promptly opened the door and stepped outside.

"That was fast." the creepy man commented from the shadows of the hallway.

Logan scoffed and started walking to his left. "Not fast enough if you ask me. If this doesn't go the way I planned and he doesn't choose me then I will be exceedingly displeased. I've had to deal with Arthur's shenanigans for a thousand years now."

The other vampire slid out from behind the shadows and looked Logan over with pale, glassy eyes. "Well, as we speak the little pipsqueak is on his way. As soon as Allistor told him what had happened he jumped on a plane to come here."

Logan frowned at that. "Allistor has been nothing but troublesome since he was left alive."

The other vampire smiled something wicked before asking,"And how do you plan on killing him? Once Arthur dies then he will take the throne. Killing off two royals in a row will surely raise some questions. They will suspect you did something."

Logan scoffed once again. "Oh please. That's why I have this brute." The vampire gestured to himself before continuing,"They will all accuse him. I will take the throne with no problems and I will rule like I should have."

A/N: Sorry if it seems confusing at first, but things will be explained in later chapters. As for the people that have read this, this probably makes it easier to understand the ending, yeah? Well, like I've said in countless other chapters: I've added a lot of new material and so please let me know if you see any major mistakes.
