Also guys LitLover101 used to write Scandal fanfiction, but has branched out and wrote a book. If you get a chance check out the book. It is called On Being a First Mistress. It is a good read. I downloaded to my Kindle.
Two days after being released from the hospital Olivia was back in the hospital. She was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. The doctors believed that the medicines that Edison gave her may have factored in.
She ended up in the hospital for twelve days. The couple were supposed to spend the week alone as a couple with no kids. Fitz was supposed to be able to relax, but instead he ended up pulling double duty.
He was with his wife throughout the night. It seemed she was sicker at night than in the day. He would help her bathe before getting her in a clean pair of pajamas, and then he would do her hair.
It was so bad that shortly after she was admitted to the hospital they were feeding her through tubes.
Once he felt like she was resting comfortably he would leave and head to the house they were renting for a shower, and a short nap before meeting with Jacob to work on the case. There was a hearing coming up, and he was determined to make sure the case didn't falter.
It was personal. Not just the young women he had taken advantage up, but his wife. There was no doubt that he would not rest until the son of bitch paid. His wife had worked hard, and he was determined to help her see it through. He promised her that.
The second week wasn't so hard on him with Lily & Barron back. His dad had stayed behind to check on the office for him. He knew the office was running fine. The partners normally just checked in with them so his dad was going to sit down with them.
Although he retired he could still practice. They both knew it was wasn't required. He would be signing off more than anything.
The day after Lily & Barron returned with the kids they called Fitz. He was at the office with Jacob. He was told he was needed at the hospital. They assured him that physically Olivia was fine, but emotionally she wasn't. They felt like she needed him.
When he walked in she was kissing the kids good-bye. He smiled because despite her being sick she was still a wonderful mom.
After they left Fitz took his shoes and jacket off before climbing in the bed.
"What's wrong honey? Nana didn't believe you were physically worse."
"She is right. The doctors came in after you left. They are ready to wean me off the IV, and gradually get me back on solids."
"Are you upset that you are not hands-on with the case?"
"No, you are doing an excellent job. Besides we have done some things together from the bed."
"Is it me?"
She nodded
"What did I do Livvie? Tell me and I will fix it."
"That's the thing you have done nothing, but run circles to take care of me, our family, and this case. We were supposed to spend last week together. Then I ended up in this stupid hospital again. You are tired. More importantly I am tired. I miss us. Yes, we are in the same space but so far away. I know I sound like an idiot. I want this baby so damn bad, but this sacrifice after everything that has happened."
Fitz held his wife as she broke down and cried. Once she calmed down he spoke.
"Livvie, I won't lie and say that I wasn't disappointed that we didn't get to spend time together, but I am not worried. I want you to relax and get better. Once you get out the hospital you are going to finish healing, and we are going to finish this case. We are so close to getting Edison to take a plea deal. Then we are going to take a cruise just the two of us. The children enjoyed being with their grandparents. They are going to split time between Nana, Pops, and Dad. We are going to reconnect as a couple, and celebrate our miracle. Understood."
Olivia was now grinning. She could not have been happier with what her husband said. "Understood."
He smiled and leaned in and kissed her which surprised her. Not because he had not been affectionate while she was in the hospital. He had been reserved out of respect for her. Knowing she wasn't feeling or looking her best. He was showing her that none of that mattered. He was showing her that they were still good. He was giving her reassurance without words.
By the time Olivia was released from the hospital she was in much better spirits. She had a consult with an orthopedic specialist on her fractured ankle. He had treated numerous athletes, actors, and actresses. She was going to do treatment in the hyperbaric chamber to speed along the healing process.
For the next three weeks Olivia ate and breathed the case and therapy. Of course she was still a wonderful wife and mother, but she gladly took the help. Only their close family knew about the pregnancy. They wanted to get further along before they told everyone, but she needed to tell Abby and not for personal reason.
They were on video chat going over things that her dad told her he was more comfortable with her making the decision on. They were things that didn't require immediate action.
Once done Olivia began, "Abby, in a couple of months we are going to be making a major organizational announcement. For right now you are the only person that knows. Stephen is being told by Fitz."
"Liv you are making me nervous."
"Don't be. When I was rescued the doctors of course ran a battery of test to check for what he injected me with. During the course of the tests the blood test determined I am pregnant. An unexpected but welcomed surprise. Before you ask because I know you there is only one baby in there."
Abby was shocked for a moment, "Congrats. I am assuming you are not that far along."
"You are right. I am sharing with you, because I want to enjoy my growing family, but I am not ready to be a full-time mom. So at first it was just going to be me that reduced my schedule, but we decided it would be both of us. We plan to promote you and Stephen to managing partner. Even when the baby is born we want to branch outside of the Vermont office. Allow our other business to see us more, and that is going to include an office here in California."
Abby was shocked but excited. Unlike last time she wasn't scared. She felt like she could handle the responsibility. Olivia had been a wonderful boss and friend to her. She had shown her how to be as confident in her job as she was in her personal life.
"May I ask what made you decide to buy an office in California, and are you moving to California?"
"No, we have no plans to move to California right now. We have decided that Vermont is going to remain home base. It is the quietest for the children as far as school is concerned, but we have found that we all like California so I can't say we won't eventually consider moving. We plan to buy a home here. As far as why we decided to buy an office it wasn't planned. Jacob is a wonderful lawyer. His small firm does well, but it could do more. He wants to do more, but he needed an investor. We decided it would be nice to invest in a firm with a solid plan that is not failing. So it is a win-win situation."
"Wow Liv that is great. I agree you guys would be crazy not to jump on that. Personally I am excited for the opportunity. I also think that Lauren & Tom will enjoy seeing you there more. Overall as the brand grows it is easier for you guys to manage, and no one will feel left out."
Olivia was so happy with Abby acceptance of the situation. It was important to her personally and professionally that she accepted the new role. She was ready to just be the boss. That didn't mean that she would never take or handle cases personally, but she needed to be open to have that flexibility. The way things were now it was still hard.
She knew her husband was happy. He tried to tell her that she could still be involved, but let other handle more. He knew she needed time to understand that, and it was why she loved him. She was used to having to do everything to be successful. It was no longer necessary, but life was showing her that those who loved her could make her more successful than doing it alone.
If she wanted to build an empire, be a good wife and mother, family, and friend then she needed a support system. She had that, and she was leaning on that so she could be all she needed to everyone and herself. After the conversation with Abby she had never been happier. Her hand immediately went to her stomach. Another baby with the love of her life, and she could not be any happier if she tried.
Fitz walked in the room. He saw her holding her stomach and smiling. He was so thankful to have his wife. He was even more thankful that her courage and strength not only saved her, but their unborn child. From the moment he saw her at the cancer center he knew she was a fighter. That is why he fell in love with her. He didn't realize that he would fall more in love with her every day.
The world saw a kick ass lawyer and crisis manager. He saw his Livvie. The love of his life. The mother of his children. The reason he got up in the morning.
Her voice broke him out of his thoughts, "You going to stand there watching me."
"When my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world then yes."
"You don't have to butter me up. As soon as the doctor clear me next week you can have your way with me."
Fitz laughs as he picks his wife up and sits down with her on his lap.
"I do miss making love to my wife, but I have you here with me and that means more."
She put her head on his shoulder. He held her. He could tell she needed him to hold her. To show her that she was safe, and he had no problem doing that.
He was shocked when she started talking, "Like I said in the hospital I had no idea that I was pregnant…"
Knowing where this was going, "Livvie, you don't have to…."
"I want to. I need to…."
He nodded
"I didn't know, but my gut told me when I got injected. It made me feel like jello, but the feeling in my stomach is something I can't explain. For a moment I felt like my stomach hardened. I think it was a sign from God, because when I felt it again it felt like the rest of my body. I don't know. The whole time I wasn't sure if I was coming or going, but I knew if I held onto that little piece of sanity that you would find me. You are my safe place to land. From the moment we met in the cancer center I always felt like you were my safe place. So whenever I was ready to give up I would go to my safe place. My mind would go to you, and our family."
Fitz just held her.
She asked, "Do you believe me?"
"I do believe you Livvie. I am glad you are alive and well, and God has blessed us with another child. I never dreamed I would have the life that I do. For some people money is enough. Money is most important, but if the day ever came that God asked me to choose I would give it all up as long as I was allowed to keep you and the kids."
For some that might be a stretch, and for someone as cynical as Olivia she wouldn't believe it. However, she knew husband meant every word. She knew if he was hooked up to a lie detector test it would show that he was telling the truth. It was why she fell in love with him. she knew at the end of the day they would have material things, but they would never be more important than their love for one another.
Fitz was rubbing circle in her back. She was so relaxed. She looked at her husband, "I am ready for this to be over."
"I know and it is. We will iron out the details with Jacob at another time. I appointed Tom to run point on closing the deal."
Olivia looked up.
"Yes, Stephen is my best friend. I trust him with my life, but I want others to see we trust them. Tom and Lauren have busted their butts in the Beltway with you by their side. They were already intelligent people, but you helped them to be better. I wanted them to know I believe in them too. If we are going to build the brand, then I want to build on the mission we put out there to our staff."
Olivia was proud of her husband. She knew this was hard for him. Not because he didn't believe in Tom, but once he found something that worked he stuck with it.
A week later they were finally in court. The bruises on Olivia's face were all but gone. What was there was covered by make-up. She was in a signature navy Armani suit. She was in flats due to her ankle had healed, but the doctor suggested she not put to put strain on the ankle and foot.
Before the proceedings Edison had decided to plead guilty to one count of attempted rape, three counts of sexual assault, and kidnapping. They had dismissed several counts including attempted murder of Olivia. In addition to the sentence recommendations of 25 years Edison had agreed to terms with the lawsuit. Each young lady would be receiving millions. They agreed they couldn't discuss the terms of the settlement for ten years.
At the proceeding Yvonne made a victim impact statement on behalf of all of the young ladies. Some were not comfortable being front and center. Since they were sexual assault victims their identities were concealed. Yvonne chose to show her face. She had a better support system than some of the other ladies which is why she felt like she could handle it.
After she was done the judge gave Olivia an opportunity to speak. At first she wasn't going to say anything, but she thought about everything that happened, and she stood up. She had prepared nothing.
Fitz was proud of his wife. He felt like she needed it. At one point they had an argument, but he knew when the time came she would make the best decision for her. He had decided no matter what he would support her. He wasn't going to lie. He felt like she needed that closure to let him know he didn't win.
Olivia began, "Thank you your honor. I want to begin by thanking my husband. My rock and the reason I live other than my children. The man that time and time again proves to me that our vows mean something to him. As I look back sometimes I feel like we have dealt with for worse more than for better. We beat cancer. We battled my husband's heart condition. We battled getting one of daughter's healthy after being born with a potentially fatal heart condition, and so much more. I thought we were finally over the for worse stage, and were in the for better stage. The girls we adopted were happy and healthy. After not saving any eggs before I was treated for cancer I still gave birth to a healthy set of twins. Then I get a call that changed my life."
Olivia began to get emotional. The court allowed her a moment to get herself together.
Olivia continued, "I made the decision to help a special young woman. That decision almost cost me my life, but it didn't thank god. It was a small price to pay to get him off the streets. I am okay with him being mad that I ruined his party. It should have been ruined a long time ago. Personally, I don't believe 25 years is enough. I do understand that it saves the girls from a public trial, and he provided intel on several other cases. To me that is him being Edison Davis. Playing the part to get what he needs. I just need him to know I am not scared. I am going home to my husband, my children, my dad, my Nana and Pops, and extended family. I will expand my family freely while you rot, and rot I hope you do. Thank you judge for allowing me the opportunity to speak."
Judge, "Thank you Mrs. Grant"
Olivia practically ran into Fitz's arms. she wanted him to know that was the only arms she ever wanted to be in for the rest of her life.
The couple embraced for what felt like hours, but was only a couple of minutes. They were going to leave, but something told them to stay.
The judge went through formalities before she asked Edison to stand up for sentencing.
Judge, "Mr. Davis, I want to begin by stating I am not impressed. You were a brilliant actor and director. You are also a decent looking human being. I am sure you could and would have had your pick of women legally and willingly. Instead you played a dangerous game that could have cost women their lives. You are a horrible human being, and I don't care how much money you have given to charity, how much you have changed the acting world, or the opportunities and business lost with you going to prison. What I do care about is your family? The young women whose lives you have changed forever, and finally Mrs. Grant. The woman who we have barely addressed in these proceeding. The woman who was only doing her job, but you kidnapped her. You had every intention to kill her, but you met your match. According to the plea agreement you accepted 25 years, but as the judge I get the final say. I agree with Mrs. Grant twenty-five years is not enough for all of the damage you have caused. Therefore, I hear by rule that Edison Davis serve a sentence of 40 years with a minimum of 30 years before he can be considered for parole."
Shock was in the courtroom. When meeting with the DA they had done their homework on which judge they wanted to go before. They knew the judge was tough, and took no crap. They tried to get a female for obvious reasons. So it was a shock this judge was as tough as he was, but it was welcomed.
Edison was shocked. He was asking his attorney could the judge do that, and he told him he could. The plea agreement sentencing term is a recommendation. The judge can accept as is, reject outright, or sentence as they choose as long as they remain within the guidelines which the judge did.
There was nothing Edison could do. He was led away. Everyone was just happy it was over. The girls ran over to hug Olivia. It was a sight that warmed everyone's heart. It wasn't that the girls weren't appreciative of Olivia, but she had up and temporarily moved her family to help them. Something that almost cost them their life.
None of that mattered. Not only did Olivia make sure the girls were taken care of financially although it couldn't erase the memories her statement ensured that Edison at 55 years of age would either die on prison or be too old to put out.
The couple walked out refusing to talk to the media. She was glad this was over. She couldn't say she wouldn't do it again, because likely she would. That could have been her children. Someone had sacrificed so she could even be a lawyer and crisis manager. More importantly someone fought to legalize interracial marriage so she was free to marry the love of her life.
Once in the car she was wrapped up in her husband. She didn't want to take life for granted. Sometimes she felt like she took her husband and his love for granted. When Edison took her she promised if she lived she would make sure he never wondered how much she loved him.
Olivia didn't notice they were at the private air strip until they turned in. When they pulled in the girls had flowers in their hands. It immediately made Olivia tear up.
When Olivia stepped out Marissa & Claire ran over to her. They had her favorite flowers in their hands orchids and lilies.
Olivia kissed and hugged them, "What are these for?"
Marissa grinned, "Because we love you to the moon and back."
Claire nodded, "We love you bunches mommy!"
"I love you both too."
Marissa, "I packed your bag mommy. I think you will like what I picked for you."
"Where are we going?"
"We are going with Nana & Pops, but daddy is taking you to a magical place so you can relax and get all the way better."
Olivia looked up confused. Before she could say anything Cameron and Caleb wanted her. She doted on them while trying to figure out what was going on. She wasn't as concerned now that the boys were no longer on breast milk, but no one not even the girls said anything. For them to be so young she learned they were good at keeping secrets.
Finally, Lily & Barron came back over. The boys willingly went to them.
Lily explained, "The kids and I are heading home. Home being our old house. Yvonne is coming home for a bit. So we were going to spend some time with them. Marissa & Claire enjoy hanging out with her. The boys are content with Barron. I am sure your husband has something wonderful planned, and I just want you to enjoy it. You have been through a lot. You are expecting, and your dad is coming down to go fishing with Barron. So the kids will see him."
Olivia smiled. She was truly happy, and she planned to enjoy whatever her husband had planned. She needed this time. They needed this time, and the kids were fine. She knew the girls were excited about the trip. She could see it on their faces. The boys loved their grandparents.
Olivia nodded, "I will and thank you for everything. I am grateful every day that God placed you in our lives."
"Ditto now kiss us and the babies' good bye, and we will see you when you get back."
That is exactly what Olivia did. Fitz had to admit that he was shocked. He was waiting for the twenty questions. Her being unsure about going away.
His dad had sent his jet down to fly them back, and they were boarding their jet.
The couple had a long flight ahead of them. Olivia sat down in her seat to prepare for takeoff. Fitz was officially confused.
She held his hand during takeoff. He was trying to gauge how she was feeling. Her face looked calmed and relaxed which was surprising.
"Fitz, I am fine. I know you are waiting for the questions. Honey I have none. Before I had the setback I wanted some quality time with you. You told me to get well, and for us to get finish dealing with Edison then we would get our time. So you are just keeping your promise like I kept mine."
Fitz smiled, "I am. At first I was going to keep it simple, but then I thought of something. When we married on the cruise we didn't jet away on a normal honeymoon. It was perfect. Something that neither of us regret, but after everything that happened I wanted to be that husband that plans the exotic honeymoon for his new wife. Although we are not newlyweds I want this to be a fresh start. We have once again survived the worst, and we are better for it. God saved you and our unborn child. I don't take that lightly, and I know you don't either. So I am glad that you are relaxed and happy. The next two weeks are for us, and then we head home better than ever."
Olivia was giddy now. He was right she wouldn't trade their wedding and honeymoon for anything. It was perfect, but she was now excited to enjoy this experience.
Since they had a long flight the couple headed to the bedroom where her luggage was. She found out that Fitz had purchased her all new clothes with the help of the girls.
The day was catching up to her in addition to expecting so she was out in no time. Once they climbed in the bed Fitz hands immediately went to her stomach. It was the little things like this that made her fall in love with her husband more and more. Before they fell asleep she leaned into him:
"I have never felt safer than I do in this moment. You told me to forgive myself, and now I need you to do it yourself. Not just for me or the kids, but for you. You did nothing wrong baby. Okay?"
"Okay Livvie
Enough was said. Within minutes they were both out, and enjoyed a nice long nap. The couple got up, and showered together.
Olivia had decided on a coral strapless printed dress. She saw that there was a cardigan to it if she needed it.
Fitz decided he wanted them to be that corny couple. He put on a coral polo shirt with cargo shorts. Olivia whistled when she saw him. He was fine and all hers.
They were served their meal. They enjoyed being themselves again. Talking about everything and nothing.
The pilot came on, "Mr. &Mrs. Grant we will be landing in Istanbul in about twenty minutes. Please buckle up."
As Olivia buckled up she tried to think about why what they were going in Turkey.
Fitz smiled. He could tell the moment it dawned on her. Right after Olivia took the case they were watching the travel channel. She saw a newlywed couple board a cruise ship for an exotic Mediterranean voyage. The ship left from Istanbul, and ended in Rome.
She leaned over and kissed her husband. "This really feels like a honeymoon. New beginnings."
"It is sweet baby. I am going to wine and dine you like never before. I want you to accept it, because you are worth it and so much more."
Olivia nodded.
Fitz could tell she was overwhelmed. He prided himself on knowing his wife. He never forgot the look in her eyes when she watched the show. Her eyes widened as the announcer enticed the viewers. He knew he would make sure that his wife got to experience what she saw on television, but her experience would exceed her expectations.
When they pulled up to the ship Olivia felt a whole new level of emotions. She never felt like she was short changed when she got married. She had enjoyed the cruise from beginning to end, but her gut was telling her this trip would be one for the record books.
The couple was personally greeted and taken to their suite where she knew her husband had spared no expense. She was correct.
They were staying in what was called the Neptune suite. In the middle of the room was a California king size bed. They had a private verandah, a refrigerator that she was sure was fully stocked with her favorites, and floor to ceiling windows.
Their concierge was walking the couple through their suite. Fitz had made and paid for several requests for them. One was the engraved terrycloth robes that were sitting on the bed. Sure it was cheesy, but he knew it was something she would appreciate. By the look on her face he was right.
He had paid extra to have her products stocked in their suite. All of her soap, lotions, shampoo, and conditioners were in the room.
He had also purchased her a new top of the line dryer, flat iron, and curlers.
Their suite included an expresso machine, Bose sound deck, wine and other personalized services that catered to their want and desire over the next two weeks.
In addition to personal concierge service he selected for them to get a beverage tray each morning, fresh fruit, ice service, and ice services. Olivia smiled because she could go through a bag of ice like was nothing now that she was pregnant.
Olivia was grinning. She was then told that the flower arrangement in the suite had been selected by her husband, and each morning during the duration of their stay new arrangements would be brought in.
She was presented with her first gift. A set of binoculars with her initials.
Olivia looked up at her husband, "This is really happening isn't it?"
Fitz smiled, "It is sweet baby.
"Good, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us. I promise to enjoy the experience you have planned for us."
"Thank you Livvie…"
"No thank you for loving me. For still loving me. I know I fall in love with you a little more every day, and that is a feeling that I will never get tired of."
"You are right. I feel the same way."
The couple got settled in. they took a nap before heading down for a romantic dinner that Fitz had reserved for them.
After dinner Olivia spent the evening into early morning thanking her husband for planning the amazing journey they embarked on. Fitz was reminded once again how wonderful pregnancy sex was. He was usually the one to surrender last, but both were thoroughly satisfied.
The next morning, they arrived in Mytilene, Nisos Lesbos Greece. After they left the pier they passed through a neighborhood called Mytilene which is near the Venetian castle.
The couple enjoyed the architecture. Next they headed on a guided tour of the Taxiarches Church before taking a scenic drive to the village of Agiassos.
As Olivia took pictures she thought about the girls. They were already smart beyond their years, and knew in a couple of year they would really appreciate this.
Fitz could read her mind, "I wanted us to take this trip alone as a couple, but some places I know are also good for families. We can come back. The places we enjoyed the most we can spend more time."
She smiled, "Thank you."
"You are welcome, but you know there is nothing I won't do to make sure my family is happy."
"I know."
After visiting the Church of the Virgin Mary the couple grabbed some lunch, and did some shopping before heading back to the port. The next day they headed to Ephesus, Turkey where they went to a museum. Next they headed to Olympia, Greece.
The couple was tired so they decided to spend the day on the ship. Between sleep and making love they would venture out to eat, they went swimming, and other activities. It was fun to connect without worrying about the kids.
The couple had an early dinner in their suite. They fell asleep during the movie. Olivia woke up to a blue screen. She was spooning with her husband in the bed.
Blessed did not even began to describe her and her life. Most people would never be grateful they had cancer, but she was. It was hard at times, but it took her out of her dark space. It led her to the love of her life, and for that she was grateful.
Her hand went to her stomach. It wasn't planned, but she couldn't be any happier. The man behind her made it even better. She dreamed it was a girl.
Now that the morning sickness was pretty much gone, and her injuries had healed she could enjoy her pregnancy. She wasn't scared this time around, and she knew if her body could handle two one would be a breeze.
Her hormones were out of control, but neither her nor her husband seemed to mind. They were trying to make up for lost time.
She started grinding on her husband's cock. His semi erect penis began to harden. She could tell he was waking up.
The best thing about their sex life was that she rarely had to tell her husband what she needed. He knew, and this morning was no exception.
Fitz pulled her closer and began kiss her neck. He made his way up to her ear. When he put his tongue in her ear she moaned.
He threw her leg over his, and slid two fingers in her clit. She was already wet and ready for him. he let her ride his fingers for a bit. He could tell she wanted him. No major foreplay was needed.
Before she could ask why he removed his fingers he had filled her to the hilt.
She threw her head back. She quietly moaned.
Fitz whispered, "This is a private suite. No kids around. Let go honey. Be free. You have earned the right to let go, and be as loud as you want."
Let go she did. She began to meet her husband thrust for thrust. Each thrust she got louder and louder. She missed making love to her husband like this. Although their room was soundproof she had become more reserved in the bedroom after having children. It was her fault. He never complains, but she promised herself in that moment she was going to give more to her husband.
Fitz grabbed her waist. Tear began to fall down his face. He pulled his wife closer, and began to pound into her.
She finally turned back and saw his face. The tears had not stopped.
"I love you Livvie. Sure you have changed, but that is life. What matters to me is that you are here with me. I love you so much."
The emotions were heavy as the couple succumb to each other. Their desires met. Olivia climbed in her husband's lap, and allowed him to cry. She held him as they breathed in sync. That is what calmed him, and eventually lulled him to sleep with her following right behind him.
The next three days they visited Corfu, Greece, Durres, Albania, and Kotor, Montenegro. The couple was having the time of their lives. They had checked in with their families, and even video chatted with the kids a couple of times.
They were surprised with how busy the girls were. They missed them, but were doing their own adventures so the entire Grant family was happy.
The boys were babbling more. They loved when you called their names. Fitz could tell that seeing the boys made her even happier to be pregnant. They were growing up quickly in their eyes, and would be walking and talking even more when the baby arrived.
They had arrived in Venice, Italy where Fitz had made huge plans for them. He had decided he wanted to wine, dine, and really spoil her here. When they checked into their suite he had shown her what tours he had purchased ahead of time, but this location was left out. He was surprised that she didn't wine about her hating surprises which made him even more excited about the day ahead.
He had told her to pack a bag, and evening dress for dinner. He told her to wear a dress today.
When they left the ship they headed to a little B & B that he reserved for them. They weren't staying there, but it was close to where they were having dinner. They would be able to shower and change. They would lose too much time going back to the ship.
For the day Olivia had decided on a casual scoop neck sleeveless zig zag stripe maxi dress. It was comfortable, and didn't show very much of her bump. She was happy about the baby of course, but looking in the mirror made her feel like a newlywed again. When she walked out the bathroom she could tell her husband approved.
It didn't take her long to find out why he suggested she wear a dress. When they arrived in town Fitz introduced her to their professional photographer. The photographer's information was sent to him. He explained to Olivia that for the next two hours the photographer was going to take them around picturesque spots.
Olivia didn't think anything could top her wedding day pictures with her husband, but these really did top them for several reasons. They now had biological children, she had survived being kidnapped and attacked, and they were expecting their third biological child together.
The couple had a blast especially Olivia. Fitz wanted them to have shots together at every location, but he wanted more of Olivia alone. He wanted her to celebrate her life, and he was happy that she was. The lens was capturing it.
Once the session was completed the couple was informed that once she was done editing she would email them the pictures. They could select up to 100. She would create a link for the 100 selected shots in addition to mailing them a flash drive with the pictures they wanted.
Fitz was glad that he started their day out this way.
Olivia was on cloud nine after the photography session. Although her husband was happy with her she was not completely with herself, and decided she was going to make some changes. The photo session allowed her to really embrace herself. The photos felt like new beginnings as a couple, and as individuals. She wasn't going to take life for granted.
After lunch the couple headed to Rialto market for a tour. They also walked around the San Polo neighborhood. They stepped inside the Gothic Frani Church. It was an amazing view, and they enjoyed looking at the Renaissance painters Titian and Bellini masterpieces. They purchased some items at the open-air Rialto market.
Before they headed back to the inn to get ready for dinner they went on a tour of Venice's Teatro La Fenice. During the golden age of opera this was the gathering place built in the 18th century. They got to learn what prestigious operas that were held there. It was a wonderful experience.
When the couple made it back to the suite Olivia ran into her husband's arms. He hugged her tightly, and he felt the tears that were coming down her face.
"Livvie, are you okay tell me what need."
Olivia looked her husband in the eyes, "I am more than okay thanks to you. Some of it is hormones, but most of it is happiness and gratitude that you chose me as your partner in life."
"That's the thing Livvie. It was never a choice once I saw you. It was like God had some angels to create our introduction."
She had no words. When someone loves you as hard and as open as her husband does you can't help but be overwhelmed.
She leaned down and planted the sweetest kiss Fitz had ever been given. It didn't take long for the kiss to heat up. When he pulled back he could tell that his wife was not happy.
He smiled, "After dinner the car is going to take us back to the ship where I plan to take you six ways to Sunday. We are doing nothing tomorrow, but signing for room service."
Olivia wanted her husband in the worse way, but she knew he had surprised her with an unforgettable day in Venice. She didn't want to ruin dinner so she nodded.
They took a shower together to save time. Although they played around a little they saved the real playtime for later.
Fitz did his thing in the bathroom before leaving it to his wife to get ready.
Forty-five minutes later Olivia stepped out the bathroom. When Fitz turned around he gasped. He felt his knees buckle some.
Olivia had on a Carolina blue A-line/sleeveless satin beading jewel floor length gown. She had her hair in loose curls with light makeup to enhance her natural beauty. She had on strappy heels.
Olivia was nervous. He still had not said anything.
Finally, Fitz smiled, "You looking stunning baby. I'm a lucky man."
Olivia grinned, "No, I am the lucky one. You chose me."
"Ditto."
Fit grabbed their things and headed out. He had made them reservations. Olivia loved Italian, but especially when pregnant so that is where they were headed.
Fitz had reserved them a table that provided a scenic view. There was a bottle of sparkling cider at the table waiting for them.
The couple had decided to go with the five-course meal that was recommended.
They started out with lemon risotto cakes.
Fitz smiled as he watched his wife moan as she enjoyed the cakes, "I can't believe I am jealous of food, but at this moment I am."
Olivia looked up, "They are tasty baby, but trust me they don't take the cake over you. As a matter of fact, I'll prove it later."
Fitz blushed, "Damn I love you."
Olivia grinned but when you looked in her eyes you could see how serious she was, "I love you more."
Fitz felt like the luckiest man in the world.
The couple continued on to the next course which was an orange salad. Then the waitress brought them out a shell pasta with beef short rib Bolognese. The meat was so tender, and the couple was in heaven as they fed each other.
It had been so long since they had been on a romantic date without the kids. Between the kids and work their date night had been put on the back burner.
Olivia looked at her husband, "I know we are both to blame, but it was 80/20 on me when it comes to date night. I miss this, and I want it back despite being pregnant. Even when the baby comes."
Fitz kissed the back of her hand, "We are both to blame. I don't agree with the percentage, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that we get back on track like you said, and we will Livvie. Our marriage is great, and I know that with everything that has happened it has made you questioned everything. I can't say that is a bad thing. I just don't want you to be of the belief that you lost your way, and need to do some major overhaul."
Olivia shook her head, "You are right babe. You know I get in my head and…."
"And nothing babe. I'm not mad. I just want you to understand that we may have not paid enough attention to each other, but we are fixing that. We are fine. We are great, and we will only get better."
Olivia nodded. She leaned over and gave him a quick but passionate kiss on the lips. It conveyed everything she couldn't put into words.
For their entrée they enjoyed lemon and roasted rosemary chicken with porcini mushroom and roasted vegetables.
For deserts they enjoyed a semifreddo
They fed each other their desert, and began to kiss each other. Lust and desire began to build with each lick and kiss.
Olivia leaned over and licked her husband's ear, "Don't you want to get me out of here? I think we both have too many clothes on."
Fitz looked at his wife, "You little minx. I love it when you are like this, but I agree we have too many clothes on."
Fitz paid for their meal, and they quickly headed to their car. The car got them back to the ship in no time. They thanked their driver Juan who had been with them all day. Fitz tipped him royally, and Olivia could tell by the look on his face that he had made more than his night.
When they made it to their room Olivia needed to empty her bladder. One of the drawbacks of being pregnant. She decided to go ahead and take her make-up off. As she was finishing up she heard music.
I wanna be good to you, baby, ooh
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life, that's right)
Have you ever felt warm on a cold, cold night?
That's how it get you when you least expect it, and you can't reject it
That crazy little tingling feeling pain in your chest yes
Olivia smiled when she heard the song. She remembered the first time she heard it she was in tears when Fitz played it for her. He said that the song reminded him of their love. He told her the next time she heard the song they would be making love to it.
(Let's go)
You feel that fire, just let it burn
There's no runnin' when it's your turn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
She walked over to her husband and turned around. He gladly unzipped her gown. When it dropped he gasped. She wasn't wearing any panties. Just a push up bra.
She turned around and smiled, "I was hoping you were going to take advantage of me."
"I plan on it!"
"Good…."
Their mouths crashed onto one another. It had been so long since they had a romantic date that ended in love making.
Feel it creepin' in your heart
Ooh, baby can you feel it tearing you apart?
That's right that's love
When it comes, you never wanna give it up
And, baby, I'm caught in the light and I ain't gonna fight it
There's no use in tryin', I'm yours
And I want you to want me the way that I want you and more
Fitz unsnapped her bra. He took a moment to look at his wife. She was so beautiful to him, but her pregnancy glow was something special.
He continued to look at her, and she began to blush which made him smile. As her man; as her husband he had an obligation to make sure she was taken care of especially in the bedroom. It would never get old making love to his wife.
He picked her up and her legs immediately wrapped around him.
She leaned down and kissed him. He could feel the passion in the kiss. She was trying to convey her love, and he felt it.
He began playing with her left nipple with his tongue while he slid two fingers inside her clit at the same time.
The lust and love in her eyes was everything at that moment. She began to ride her husband's fingers to the beat of the song. At some point he had switched to her other breast. Both enjoying the moment.
"Oh Fitz baby I feel so so good. You make me feel so good. Ahh baby right there. I am about to cum…."
"I got you Livvie let go."
Like a fine tuned instrument, she let go. She felt like the most beautiful woman in the world. She knew if she asked Fitz he would tell her she was. It warmed her heart that her husband felt that way about her. After everything they had been through he not only loved her, but showered her with love and affection and that love got bigger and better with time.
(So if you're ready to take this ride
We could go all around the world, baby
Shit, we could even go to the stars if you like)
I know it's scary
'Cause someone always get hurt when you're caring
And I felt that way too
But ready or not, it's coming for you
He surprised her when he pulled her up off the bed. She had no time to process. Looking back, she could tell you that she was on the bed, and now she was against the wall.
He slid into her slick walls effortlessly. Olivia threw her head back, "Fuck"
"You like that Livvie"
"Um…."
"Words Livvie…"
"Ah baby…Fuck you feel so good Fitz…Don't stop baby…Please don't…"
"Never Livvie. I won't stop until I rocked your world multiple times tonight, and for the rest of our lives."
Those words took Olivia over giving her second orgasm of the night. She could tell her husband was not done with her. She was tired, but she wasn't ready for him to be done with her.
You feel that fire, just let it burn
There's no runnin' when it's your turn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
Fitz put Olivia down and she headed to the bed. To his surprise she got on all fours. Fitz eagerly wet over to his wife. Before he could slide back in she looked over shoulder, "Slide it in and watch me fuck you."
He could feel his hard dick get even harder. This was new and fun to him. Sure there were moments when she liked to be in control, but lately she was even more vocal and uninhibited in the bedroom. Making their already wonderful sex life even better.
He did as his wife asked. He slid his dick in with one quick thrusting causing both of their heads to fall back, "Fuck"
For a minute Fitz & Olivia fell in sync with each meeting the other's thrust, but after a bit Fitz stopped. His wife looked back and smiled. A silent thanks. She knew he hadn't forgot. He needed that to calm himself down. Otherwise what came next would be too much.
It almost still was. Fitz had never been more thankful for yoga and Pilates than he was at this moment. Watching his wife ride his cock like it was a real horse was an out of body experience.
It was so good it made him question why Jake or any man would ever give her up, but thankful they did so he could reap the full reward.
You can't get away from love
Come on y'all and get you some
Watch what It'll make you do
Knock the cool right outta you (that's love)
Both of them were getting tired, but needed one more big push to end the night. She was now underneath him looking up with so much love it caught his breath.
He slid back in as they interlocked their fingers. He leaned over and kissed and licked her ear causing her to shutter.
They were making slow lazy love. Pleasing each other and it felt so damn good.
"Fitz, baby ah you feel so good…um baby I'm so close…So so close baby."
Fitz threw her leg over his shoulder pushing him impossibly deep making it even better for the both of them.
"I know Livvie…Yes sweet baby so good so so good…."
No words were needed.
All you heard was the song, her screams, and his growls as they brought each other to complete satisfaction.
Typically, after they had marathon sex they would pass out, but not tonight. They were exhausted for sure, but they wanted to enjoy each other. Enjoy the love they made. It was physical, but it was also emotional for them as well.
Right before Olivia closed her eyes she whispered, "I promise to do my part. I don't want us as a couple to be put aside again. I'll do my part."
Fitz kissed her forehead and yawned, "I vow to do the same. We are renewing our interest in each other. Despite expecting again we can and will do it. In order for our children to be happy we have to be happy as a couple. We will be."
They feel asleep with the peace that they were going to be there for each other. When they had the twins they got so wrapped up in being parents to four children that they both put themselves as individuals and a couple aside. Not again unless it was absolutely had to.
You feel that fire, just let it burn
There's no runnin' when it's your turn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
Just let it burn
Let it, let it burn
(Call me crazy but I think I found the love of my life)
The remainder of their trip was just as blissful as the first part. They had stops in Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Malta before it was time to head home.
Their photoshoot pictures turned out amazing, and the pictures reflected how happy they were as a couple. It was what they needed to reconnect, but now they were ready to physically hold their children. In addition, find out the sex of unborn child.
They wanted it to be a girl. Nana told Olivia she thought it was based on how she was carrying. Olivia hoped her wisdom was correct.
A/N-I'll stop there. Next time we find out the sex of the baby, and we will see changes being made so that the couple especially Olivia could enjoy their personal life.
Fun Facts-I got the idea not to disclose the terms of the settlement for ten years after watching the Lifetime movie on Toni Braxton. When she sued the record label that was part of the terms. She was unable to tell her side for ten years. The song in this update is called "Let It Burn" by Jasmine Sullivan

FYI-I shared that at the beginning of the year I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease. The plan was for me to do radioactive iodine therapy. However, abdominal issues would not allow that to happen so on 5/5 I will have a total thyroidectomy. It will require me to stay in the hospital 1-2 days, and then home to recover. Before surgery I will make a couple more post on other stories. Not sure when I will return after surgery. Depends on how I heal.
