I wasn't lying, I swear! I truly thought I won't have a single second to write, but then I couldn't focus on studying anymore and opened this file and started to write, and I just couldn't stop! Gosh, I'm going to fail, aren't I?

Nevermind (such a great album, by the way), I just thought that the last sentence I too awesome for not ending the chapter with it, so I just forced myself to stop. You should be happy though, because if I wouldn't then it would have taken me until the end of the months to finish it (term paper DL on the 31st...). So anyway, I decided it ended just the way it should be, and it was time to publish.

Enjoy everyone, and wish me luck on my super-huge-written-by-Voldemort Literature test tomorrow!

Chapter 29

'I can't sleep with her again. I just can't' Donna thought to herself. She kept driving for a minute or two more before pulling over at the side, taking her helmet off. She had to think. She was only fifteen minutes away from Bella's club and knew exactly what was waiting for her. She leaned against her Harley, holding her head between her hands, when she felt a familiar ache in her lower stomach.

Cramps.

PMS cramps.

And for once in her life, Donna was happy when her monthly visitor came to say hello.

"Okay, think. This was the first cramp. I always get the first cramp between five to thirty minutes before the blood starts streaming. I need a tampon, and fast."

'Under the seat!' Donna almost hit herself for forgetting she had a box of tampons in the compartment under her seat. She opened in with a sharp move and looked around. The road was empty, since she deliberately took an uncrowded road, a longer way to give her some more time to think.

She made a few steps away, positioning herself behind a big bush she could see through to keep an eye on her Harley. Within less then two minutes ('Why must it be so damn hard to shove this little piece of cotton up there right before the period comes?') she put her pants back on, buckled her belt and went back to her Harley, and back on the road.

She decided against the helmet this time. She needed the wind in her hair, so the helmet went under hear seat along with the opened box of tampons.

'Gosh, now I reallycan't sleep with her...' she though to herself.

"There you are!" Bella greeted her as Donna walked in the club. It was empty except themselves and a few workers who had minded their own business.

"Yeah, I decided to take the longer way, had the need for speed." she said, putting one hand on Isabella's waist and pulling her close for a passionate kiss.

"Want a drink?" Isabella asked after the pulled apart.

"Just a glass of water and an Advil, if you have by any chance."

"Why an Advil?"

"Guess who came for a visit!" Donna said with fake enthusiasm.

Isabella remained silent for three or four seconds. "You're kidding, right?"

"No. I had to pull over about half way through to shove the shitty cotton ball up my vagina." Donna said.

"Fuck."

"Not in the next five days."

"Oh, shut up." Isabella said, hitting Donna's arm, but smiling at the joke. "Come on, at least let me show you around."

"Wait, I need an Advil. I already had PMS cramps and it's gonna get worse within an hour." she said to Isabella. She didn't bother lowering her tone, everyone at the club were girls besides the doorman, who was outside by the door.

"I think I have a pill with the first aid kit in my office, let me check." she said. "Go, sit down. Make yourself comfortable."

"Yes, sir." she said, giving Isabella a smack on her ass. Isabella turned around, bit her lower lip, winked at Donna and went to her office to get Donna a pill.

"You already got her whipped." she heard a chuckling voice. She turned her look at the bartender, who was currently cleaning the glasses.

"Nah, not really." Donna said.

"Yeah, yeah really. Girl, she is nuts about you. You have no fucking clue how bummed she is because you got your period." the bartender said, leaving the glasses and putting the towel on her shoulder.

"Why?" Donna said, confused.

"Man, you're totally clueless, aren't ya?" the woman laughed. She put her hands on the bar and leaned in a little. Her cleavage was in front of Donna's eyes, who kept her look at the woman's eyes. "She had a whole show planned. She used to preform twice a month here, stopped many years ago. She was a real star, y'know, when she was on that stage, around that pole or singing jazz or blues in her deep voice, you could've drowned, everyone was drooling their mouths off when she was on that stage." she woman pointed with one finger at the stage behind Donna.

When Donna didn't say anything the bartender continued. "She stopped preforming when Marco became a big name out there, she didn't want anyone disrespecting him because she was stripping. But she was never naked on stage, always stepped down in a tiny thong and a matching bra, the girl knows when to stop. Anyway, she planned to preform for ya. That's a big deal for the girl."

"But she danced for me once." Donna said. "Why it's such a big deal now?"

"She doesn't mind dancing in private, but this club is everything for her. B is this club, there wouldn't have been BUZZ without B. I remember her when she was preforming, she loved it. She loved the feeling of being so loved in a place that she build on her own."

"You're here for a long time, huh?" Donna said.

"Yeah, ever since she opened it, when she was only seventeen. At first Marco helped her, and Nico too, but when she was twenty one she decided that it's time for her to do it on her own. Marco respected her, but he's still there if she needs him." the bartender said, leaning back and continuing cleaning the glasses.

"No kidding." Donna said. She gave a quick look at the door of Bella's office before returning her look to her own hands.

"Here comes your lady." the bartender said, handing Donna a glass of water.

"Here, I knew I had a pill." Bella said, handing Donna the little blue pill. Donna took it with a few sips of water.

"Thanks." she said, looking at the bartender.

"Sure."

"C'mon, let me show you around." Bella said, grabbing Donna's hand and pulling her after her. Donna gave a look back at the bartender, who looked back at her and whispered to her with no sound 'Whipped.'

"Maura? Maura, sweetheart?"

"In my office."

Ian opened the door, taking a few steps before closing in behind himself. "Maura, come on. You need to get some sleep. You've been looking at the same files over and over again for the past thirty hours. You even called in sick just so you could have a few hours more to look for God knows what in those files!" Ian said, kneeling next to her, trying to get her attention.

"I can't go to sleep now, Ian. I have to find it." Maura said, not even giving a quick look at him.

"What are you looking for, anyway?"

"These are the old files of Marco DiAngelo. I've been through every big drug dealer around south Boston, no one seems to fit the description of Jane's mission. He is the last option, and something's not right here."

"Maura, look at me. Please."

"Ian, stop."

"No Maura, you stop. Right now." he said, standing back on his feet. He raised his voice for the first time in a really long time. Maura finally looked at him, a mixture of disbelief, anger, disappointment and hurt on her face.

"Maura... what is going on with you? I'm sorry I raised my voice like that, but you're so unattached lately and I just don't know what to do." he said, kneeling next to her again.

"I know, Ian. And I'm sorry." Maura said.

"Just tell me what is going on, maybe I could help." he almost begged her. Maura didn't like to be begged.

"My best friends and her little brother went undercover with probably one of the biggest dealers in Boston, I have no idea how is she, all I know is that she's alive. I don't even know when she comes back, or if she will. I don't know when the big operation is about to take place, I don't know if she is in risk, if Frankie might have been hurt by now, or if Jane did. I don't know anything, and I'm worried sick ever since she left!" Maura snapped, crying.

"Shh... shh... don't cry, sweetheart. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, please don't cry." Ian said, pulling her close for an embrace. Maura had no more energy to resist. She let him hug her and buried her head in his chest. Soon after his shirt was soaked with Maura's tears, and shortly after she was able to breath normally again.

"Would you like me to make you some tea?" Ian asked gently.

"That would be wonderful. Thank you, Ian." Maura said, wiping what's left of her tears with her thumbs and the back of her hands.

"No problem at all, Maura. Let me know if you want my help, I'll be in the bedroom or downstairs." he said, waiting for her respond. Maura simply nodded, and in gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead before standing up again and leaving her office.

Maura didn't look at him. She waited until she heard the sound of the door being closed again, before her tears once again started to stream down her face. She sent her hand to her cleavage, grabbing a hold on the thin necklace, looking for the bullet.

She put the bullet against her lips and closed her eyes, hoping, sobbing quietly.

"Jane, please come home safe, soon. Please come back. I need you."

"So what is this room for?" Donna asked, closing the door behind herself. She looked around, watching Bella taking a seat of the very long couch.

"This one used to be for Marco. Y'know, meetings with clients, having some fun..." Bella said, raising an eyebrow.

"Bells, don't start what you can't finish." Donna said, fake warning in her voice, though she was serious.

"Fine, whatever. So tell me," she said, gesturing with her hand for Donna to take a seat next to her. She waited until Donna was seated before continued talking. "why are you still carrying that locket with you?"

"What, this?" Donna said, holding her locket in her palm.

"Yeah. I mean, there's a picture of your ex in there." Bella said.

"I know, but she was never just my girlfriend, so I guess that now she's not just my ex."

"Are you fucking me right now?"

"Wish we were."

"Di..."

"I wasn't fucking you. I mean it, she means a lot to me. And I know we broke up over five years ago, I know I have you right now and that's probably not what I'm supposed to do, but I just can't throw it away. I need it to be with me." Donna explained.

"But you do take it off. Sometimes."

"Yeah, when we're in bed. I don't think fucking you with a picture of my ex around my neck is the best thing for our sex life." Donna chuckled.

"I don't like it, Di. I don't like that you're still keeping it." Bella said.

"I'm not throwing it away, or taking it off, Bells." Donna said, remaining calm.

"Then we have a problem."

"I guess we do."

"Look, Donna, I need to know that you're with me, and with me only. That there is no other girl you're fucking behind my back."

"Really? Really, Bella? You really can't trust me?" Donna said, getting angry.

"I trust you, Di, but it feels to me that she is in our relationship too!" Bella raised her voice.

"Bella, I don't cheat. Ever. But I do set ultimatums when I think there's no other choice, so that's what I'm gonna do. You have two options. You either trust me and never say another word about my locket, or we're through. I hate to do this to you, but there are two things I will never give up – my brother and my locket." Donna said.

Bella stayed quiet for a few seconds. When she finally spoke, her voice was quiet, slightly cracked. "Is this locket means more to you than I am?"

"Bella, don't. You don't get to do this. I've known you for two months, a bit more. I've known Maura for six years, and she got me standing on my feet when Tony failed, and it almost never happens. You do not get to do this." Donna was angry, but her voice was steady, clear. Loud, but not yelling kind of loud.

"You know what, Donna?" Bella said. "You're right. I do know you for only two months. But you know – nevermind, just leave it." Bella raised her hands with defeat, turning around to leave the room.

"No. say what you wanted to say." Donna said, holding her wrist a bit stronger than she meant, but yet not too strong.

"You still don't get it, do you? I told you a long time ago, Di, that I fell for you. I fucking fell for you. I've only been in love so strong like that once in my life, and she turned out to be a total dick who cheated on me. That's why I need to know that there is no one else. Why can't you give me that promise?" Bella said.

"Bella, listen to me." Donna said. She put her thumb under Bella's chin, tilting it up to meet her eyes. "If there is someone else, don't call me Donna Lombardi."

So? Did y'all like it? Let me know!
