Chapter 29 – Life to Death.

Brandon's POV -
I was laying in Stella's bed, she was downstairs bringing us food because we were definitely starved after our very fun activity. I yawned, she had been downstairs for about five whole minutes. I looked over to the desk. My phone was on charge, I grabbed it off charge and turned it on.
I had a missed call from Bloom, I rang her but her phone said she was out of range.
I was about to call Sky when he called me.
"Hey du-" I was cut off by him.
"Have you seen Bloom?" His voice sounded broken.
"No, I thought she was at yours?" I asked him.
"She was but—we argued and then she left before I could stop her and then—Look dude, shes not answering me because she's pissed off and she could be any-" He startted rambling.
"Shut the hell up, Where is my sister." I growled at him.
"I don't know—I told you." He stuttered out.
I hung up and called home. My father answered on the fourth ring.
"Hello, Brandon?" Dad said, he sounded like he woke up.
"Dad, Is Bloom home?" I asked him.
"No, she's at Sky's for the-" He started but I cut him off.
"No, Dad she's not, she stormed out because her and Sky argued and now she's not answering anyone's phone. This isn't like her, its 2AM at night." I yelled.
"Brandon calm down, I'll ask your mother to call her and if she doesn't answer then I'll inform the police." He said calmly. I breathed in.
"Okay, bye dad." I said. Stella opened the door.
"Hey baby, my parents are ordering Pizza, so we have to wait." She sat down. "Who were you talking to?"
"Bloom-" I was about to carry on but she interrupted me.
"Ooh, me and her need to catch up." Stella said.
"She ran away from Sky's and now she isn't answering her phone, they had a fight and now no one knows where she is." I told her, she gasped.
"What? Oh my god this is all my fault." She screeched.
"Babe its not your fault." I told her. "Look, I'm going to get dressed and drive around to see if I can find her."
"Can I come with you?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Your parents wont approve, I'm going to pick Sky." I told her she nodded.
—1 Hour Later.—
Sky and I were stuck on the motorway for some odd reason there was a huge traffic jam. I scowled at the stupid traffic police, they've probably pulled someone over for a stupid busted tail light or something idiotic like that.
I turned to Sky once I heard him speaking to someone.
"Hey there officer." Sky yelled. A police officer headed our way.
"How can I help you sir?" The officer asked.
"Yeah, do you know what the hold up is?" Sky asked.
"Car accident, the driver had alcohol in his DNA and I think he drove into a person, who has been sent to hospital for intense treatment, their life was on the line. I don't know to much sorry for the traffic jam." The officer said. Sky nodded in response.
"What moron, walks on to the road at this time of night?" I growled in frustration.
"Brandon, shut the hell up, your pissing me off." Sky growled at me. I rolled my eyes. I couldn't take the traffic any longer, so I tried pushing through and accidentally got in peoples way.
"Son, why are you taking V turns on a U turn road?" The officer asked me. I was about to answer when the officer bent forward and looked towards us carefully. "Why aren't you wearing seat belts?" He asked us.
"Sorry officer we'll put on our seat belts." Sky said.
The officer nodded and walked off.
"F*cking ass-" I started to say but I was interrupted by the officer.
"Can I see your I.D and your license registration?" He spat at me. I searched around but couldn't find it.
"Look I've forgotten it at home, If you'll let me I can call my parents and they can-" I started.
"I'm going to need you both to come down to the station with me, your under arrest, I am arresting you for under-age driving on suspicion. You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you say may be given in evidence." The officer said.
I cussed under my breath and stepped out the car, we got into the officers car and he drove us to the station, where we were questioned on practically everything.
Once we were in the waiting cell, the officer came up towards us.
"Brandon Herondale and Sky Anderson?" The officer asked several people looked towards him but Sky and I stood up.
"That's us." I said.
"Your parents have been contacted but they haven't been answering calls. We have left them a voice mail." The officer said.
"God my parents must be searching for Bloom," I said. I looked towards Sky.
"So are mine. After the dinner they went mental on me." Sky muttered.
"If anything happens to Bloom, I am going to kick your ass so fucking hard." I yelled at him.
"Now is not the time." He yelled back. "We get one more call, who can we call?"
"I don't know anyone else's numbers off by heart accept Blooms and my home number." I told him with a loud sigh.
—The Next Morning.—
"Sky, Brandon wake up." I opened my eyes to see my father in front of us. I looked around to see that we had spent the night in cells.
"Brandon, honey we have been so. Last night we were searching for Bloom and we didn't check the voicemail until this morning and we ran down-" I cut my mother off by pulling her into a hug.
"Is Bloom safe?" I asked them. Dad looked down painfully.
"Where's Bloom?" Sky asked as he stood up.
"W-we couldn't find her last night." Mum stuttered out in between sobs. Sky looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"We have to let the police know, she'll be under the missing pile and they'll put on a search for her Brandon said. They all headed towards the office and started filing a missing person, so they could search for her.
— HOSPITAL—
The doctors rushed the severely injured patient on to the stretcher, the red head practically looked half dead.
"We need a doctor for patient 27." A nurse yelled. A doctor came running out.
"What was the accident?" He asked the nurse as he strapped on the while plastic gloves.
"She was ran into by a tower truck with a drunken driver inside, the security camera's tell us she was running away from men that tried to harass her, they have been arrested. She got hit bad and needs to be taken to surgery instantly." The nurse said all too quickly.
The doctor gulped and nodded, he put on his surgical mask and rushed into the surgery room.
20 Minutes later.
The doctor walked out of the surgery room, the sorrowful nurse rushed towards him.
"What's happened doctor?" The nurse asked.
"She's been broken badly, the X-ray tells us she's broken quite a few bones." He sighed. "I am terribly saddened to say that she only has a 20% chance of living." He said. The nurse looked down at her feet.
"Have her family been contacted?" The doctor asked the nurse.
"No, she had no I.D or form of identification with her, the girls cell phone broke during the accident." The nurse said.
"We'll have to try our best but this accident is going to cause something big that she needs to be lost." The doctor sighed as he walked back into the surgery room.
"I cannot believe such a tragedy is happening." The nurse muttered to herself.
