Hi there! Just a quick warning, I pretty much wrote this entire chapter on my phone during and between classes and work because I have not had much time to just write and I had to find a way! So that being said, please forgive me for the amount of spelling or grammatical errors I'm sure will be in here. I tried to proofread but I'm sure I missed some stuff. Sorry! Also, thank you so much for all of the lovely reviews on the last chapter. You guys seriously give me so much inspiration, motivation, and LIFE! Thank you! One more thing, I hope you enjoyed Wrestlemania week! Okay I'm done rambling!

~Enjoy!~

The day of the next show had arrived and it happened to be a Monday. It was early in the afternoon as Dean drove the long way to the arena hosting Raw.

"I just don't get what the hell he's thinking, ya know? I think someone needs to knock some sense into him. I'll gladly do it myself." He said as he glanced away from the road to the passenger seat, continuing a conversation.

It had been a while, but finally, his road partner once again was none other than Seth Rollins. With Roman getting to the arena with Brie, Dean was able to convince Seth to ride with him after telling him Roman wouldn't be there. Seth's resentment towards Roman was still intact, and Dean knew he wouldn't be able to sit through such a long ride while sitting only inches away from Roman.

Seth chuckled and shook his head. "Welcome to the 'Pissed at Reigns' club. I'll welcome Paige to the 'Screwed Over by Reigns' club when I see her. I'm proud member of both." He said with amusement.

Dean shot him a look to show that he wasn't as amused. "You gonna be a member of the 'Pissed at Reigns' club forever? When are you gonna get over it?" Dean questioned.

Seth shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe if I get Nikki back I'll think about it. But right now I don't want anything to do with the guy. I only put up with him for the Shield."

Dean shook his head, he was so tired of Seth and Roman's feud. It made things hard on not only him, but the Shield as a whole. Trying to workout matches, promos, etc. was a nightmare since Seth couldn't even stand to be around Roman. Dean was tired of it.

"Is Nikki coming around at all?" Dean asked, changing the topic.

Seth shook his head, "Nope. But she'll warm up to me eventually, I have a plan." Dean glanced at him and raised an eyebrow. "She's just so stubborn and strong minded."

Dean turned his eyes back to the road and chuckled to himself at how enamored Seth was by Nikki.

"Who would've thought you'd be the guy out of the Shield to find a solid relationship and have it all be perfect?" Seth added shaking his head in disbelief.

Dean stayed quiet for a moment as Seth's words sunk in. He subtly shook his head. "It's not all perfect." He finally corrected Seth.

"What do you mean?" Seth asked, because based on what he had seen with his own eyes, Dean and Emma had it all.

Dean shrugged it off and didn't answer his question. He kept his eyes focused on the road and could feel Seth's eyes on him.

"What? Is the sex bad?" Seth joked with a chuckle. Dean remained quiet, not really wanting to talk about whatever was going on with him and Emma. Seth furrowed his eyebrows. "Whoa, I was kidding. But that's it, isn't it?" Seth continued digging.

Dean released an annoyed groan. "Shut up Rollins."

"Wow, man. That sucks. Is it you or her that's the problem?" Seth asked ignoring Dean's request for him to stop talking. Dean didn't respond, but he was getting highly annoyed with the topic of discussion. "Don't get all pissy over it. It happens to the best of us. Just because the sex is bad doesn't mean the relationship has to be-" Seth continued before being cut off.

"The sex isn't bad. There is no sex. She doesn't want to, ever. Said it herself. Can you shut up about it now?" Dean disclosed with irritation in his voice.

Seth widened his eyes. "Oh man." He said and could see how bothered Dean was. "Hey, it's not a big deal. I'm sure she has her reasons and she'll come around eventually. I mean, she doesn't really seem like the kind of girl who would just jump into bed with someone she just started dating."

Dean released a deep breath. "No I get that and I respect it. It's the fact that she said it'll never happen."

Seth shrugged. "I don't know what to tell you, man."

"I don't need you to tell me anything-" Dean said wanting the conversation to be over.

"But I have to be honest here, Emma's always been like a little sister to me. I don't like the idea of you, of all people, getting in her pants anyway. I told you taking things further with her was a bad idea, maybe she's realizing that too." Seth told him nonchalantly.

Dean clenched his jaws getting really irritated with Seth. He suddenly slowed down the car and pulled over on the side of the road then looked at Seth.

"What are you doing?" Seth questioned.

"Get out of my car, Rollins." Dean told him with a serious, grating tone.

"You're kidding, right?" Seth raised both of his eyebrows in disbelief.

Dean eyed him for a moment that to Seth, felt like forever. "If you don't shut up about Emma, you're walking your ass to the arena." Dean warned him.

Seth released a breath of relief and laughed. "Alright, I'll drop it. I'm done." Dean kept his eyes on him with intensity for another moment before starting the car up again.

Seth found the whole thing amusing but took Dean's warning and dropped it for the rest of the ride to the arena.

Nikki stood waiting outside of an office for a meeting she and Brie were asked to come in to before Raw would kick off. She hadn't spoken to Brie since she surprised her with the news that she and Roman were back together. She wasn't looking forward to having to work with her tonight, but she was a professional. She could leave whatever issues the Bellas were having at the door.

She rolled her eyes when she spotted Brie making her way towards her, of course with Roman by her side. Nikki made a face of utter disgust as she watched Roman give Brie a quick peck on the lips before letting her depart from him so she could go to her meeting.

"Hi, Nicole." Brie acknowledged her sister with a smile, as she felt the tension radiating off of Nikki's body. Nikki didn't say a word in response. Brie shrugged a shoulder. She wasn't bothered by any of this at all. Nikki would have to learn to get over it eventually. They both looked up when the door they were waiting outside of opened.

"Ladies, we're ready for you." Jane, from talent relations, told them. Nikki and Brie both smiled as they entered the room.

They shook hands with Jane, then Mark Carrano, and finally Stephanie McMahon before taking their seats in front of a coffee table.

After greetings and small talk, they finally got to business.

"I just want to start by congratulating you, Brie, on your amazing work in this angle with Paige and Roman. The fans seem to really be buying into it and the chaos surrounding the three of you online has calmed down tremendously. I think we've successfully made most, if not all, of them believe that this was all a work." Stephanie said with pride.

"Thank you, Steph." Brie smiled sweetly. She hated the storyline but she had to admit, Stephanie was right and her idea seemed to be working better than she expected.

Stephanie returned her smile. "With that being said, we have one thing that could get in the way of the success of this storyline and what we're trying to do here." She said, her tone serious again. "Total Divas."

"As you know, taping starts up again in two weeks for the second half of the current season." Jane added. "We've already spoken with the E! producers about this situation, and we've all come to an agreement that in order to keep the Paige and Roman situation under wraps, we need to have Brie and Roman remain a couple on the show." Jane said then watched Brie to observe her reaction. Brie was unreadable. Nikki on the other hand wasn't, when she responded with an eye roll.

"But, this is only temporary. We're going to have the two of you break up on screen. And it will have nothing to do with what really happened. I know you all don't like the idea of scripting Total Divas but with this situation, we really have no choice." Mark Carrano told the twins before opening a folder in front of him then handed a few sheets of paper to each diva.

Nikki eyed Brie intensely as she took the papers from Carrano, waiting for her to say something.

"Um," Brie began as she flipped through the pages. She closed the packet and looked up at her three corporate bosses. "This won't be necessary at all. I'm not breaking up with Roman on screen."

Stephanie squinted her eyes at Brie as she slightly tilted her head the side. "I understand that it might be a little difficult for you to do it all over again, but this isn't an option. Roman Reigns is a rising top star, and I need the fans to stay behind him. Which means that his public image needs to remain squeaky clean. If Total Divas airs and you two aren't together and there's no explanation, or Paige is brought up, this entire storyline will have been a waste of time and everyone will know what happened." Stephanie tried to persuade Brie.

Nikki rolled her eyes again. "Okay, the fact that you're all trying so hard to protect your precious Roman Reigns is disgusting to me. But the reason she's not breaking up with him on screen is because they're back together." She cut in. Jane, Mark, and Stephanie had looks of surprise on their faces to say the least. "It's ridiculous, I know." Nikki added.

Brie didn't make any eye contact with anyone in the room. It was a little awkward.

"Well," Stephanie added trying to cover up the awkward tension in the room. "Congratulations to you and Roman. A couple that can withstand all of that must be a truly strong one."

Brie smiled, wishing that her relationship didn't have to be associated with her job and the business at all.

"I guess we'll have to speak to the producers again and let them know that we can nix the script. But keep in mind that you cannot discuss the Paige situation on screen unless it's referring to the storyline." Stephanie instructed.

"Got it." Brie assured her.

"Now Nikki," Stephanie turned her attention to the feisty twin. "The first half of the season, you were developing a relationship with Seth Rollins." Nikki adjusted herself uncomfortably in her seat, and waited for whatever was coming. "I hear things and I'm aware that the two of you are no longer together. So, for this second half of the season, we'll have you briefly mention that 'it just didn't work out.'" Stephanie said with air quotes.

"Great." Nikki said feeling relief that they weren't going to make her go through an elaborate storyline about her breakup.

Mark Carrano looked down at his watch then gave Stephanie a look. Stephanie nodded before turning back to the divas.

"Alright, that's all we had for you two. We have another meeting we need to get ready for." Stephanie said, letting them go. Brie and Nikki thanked them with handshakes before making their way to the door.

"Oh and Brie," Stephanie called after her. "Congratulations on officially being the number one contender for the Divas Championship."

Brie grinned with excitement. The one good thing that came out of this storyline was the fact that she had a shot at the title that Paige was now holding. "Thank you." She said before following Nikki out of the office.

As Nikki pulled the door open to exit, she turned around to shake her head at Brie. She was happy that her sister was getting a title shot, but the anger she felt about her and Roman being back together ruined it. Brie gave her a half smile as she closed the door behind her. She wouldn't let Nikki get to her. She was happy and that's all that mattered. As Nikki turned back around she came to a halt when she realized she was just about to walk into someone.

She was so close to the person, at eye level with the base of their neck, that she could feel their breaths. She looked up slowly, knowing exactly who was standing in front of her, just by the scent of his cologne. "Rollins." She said rather coldly as they locked eyes.

"Bella." Seth smirked, mocking her as his warm breaths hit her face.

"You're in my way." She said, unamused.

Seth looked down at her and smiled. "You're in my way."

Nikki looked away from him and smiled as she shook her head. "I don't think you're funny at all." She said, before stepping to the side to try to leave, only to have Seth follow her step, getting in her way. Brie watched on behind Nikki and smiled, finding it very amusing.

"Oh that's awkward, I thought you were going that way, so I went this way." Seth said with a smile. Nikki glared at him. She took in a deep breath as her eyes remained fix on his and moved the opposite way to get around him. Once again, Seth stepped in her way.

"Rollins, move." She said with a feisty tone.

"I did. I tried, but you got in the way again." Seth smirked. Nikki rolled her eyes. "Just like you got in the way of Summer and I making plans." He eyed her with a smug smile.

Nikki's eyes slightly widened. She turned to look at Brie who was clearly enjoying what was happening. She looked back to Seth who was still standing incredibly close.

"I don't know what you're talking about. But I have to get ready for the show and I honestly just don't want to talk to you." She said before stepping aside again to escape but once again, Seth was in her way. "Seth!" she shouted with frustration.

Seth looked passed her and laid his eyes on Brie before waving to her. "Hi." He said. Brie looked at him skeptically before waving back. "I know I've already apologized but I do want you to know how sorry I am for the part I played in what happened to you. But I heard you and Reigns are back together, so congrats. I'm glad you're happy." Seth said genuinely but rather quickly, making sure to keep an eye on Nikki so she wouldn't try to leave. Nikki watched him with a confused look on her face.

"It's fine, Seth. I forgave you already." Brie smiled. "And thank you."

"You two really are polar opposites." He said referring to how fast Brie was able to get over it compared to Nikki. "But anyway, we're probably going to be here for a while, so if you want to leave to get ready for the show, you can. You don't have to wait for her." Seth advised.

Nikki shot him a look as she crossed her arms over her chest. Brie smiled at Seth and nodded. "Good luck." Brie told him with a warning look on her face before leaving their vicinity.

"Who the hell do you think you are? And what part of 'I don't want to talk to you' don't you understand?" Nikki fired at him.

"So, funny story. Not too long ago, a beautiful blonde diva who goes by the name of Summer Rae started talking to me. And we were kinda hitting it off. And just as we were about to make plans for me to take her to CrossFit because she seemed so eager to try it, another diva by the name of Nikki Bella pulled her aside. And after that, Summer has been super standoffish and can barely hold a conversation with me. It just makes me wonder what the other diva, Nikki Bella might have said to her." Seth told Nikki with his eyes on her.

Nikki took a deep breath and looked away. Was Seth really bothered by the fact that Summer wasn't interested in him anymore? Had he actually moved on? Nikki's thoughts began to bring down her mood a bit, and it was visible to Seth. Nikki didn't say anything, but Seth knew exactly what was on her mind.

"No." He said. Nikki looked up at him again and furrowed her eyebrows feeling confused again. "I'm not into Summer that way. Hell, I'm not into any other woman that way. Because I have my eyes set on one already. And even though I screwed up and lost her trust, I just wish she'd hear me out, and give me a second chance." Seth said, his tone serious, yet gentle.

Nikki looked down and shrugged a shoulder. "If you're looking for advice, I'll just say that it doesn't sound like you have a chance with this women, especially since you lost her trust. You should probably give up." She advised him.

Seth sighed feeling at a loss. Nikki's stubbornness was getting exhausting. "Nicole-" He began as he placed his hand on her arm.

He stopped when he heard the door to the office open.

"Seth, there you are. We're ready for your meeting." Mark Carrano said before looking at his watch.

Seth nodded. "I'll be in in a minute."

"You're already late. You're lucky Hunter's not here yet. Make it quick." Carrano advised. Seth nodded again before turning his attention back to Nikki who had a skeptical look on her face.

"Why are you meeting without The Shield?" she questioned, ignoring the fact that his hand was still on her arm. She would've already shook him off but she was curious, and to be honest, she liked the feeling of his touch on her skin.

Seth shook his head. "That's not important right now. But as I was saying, can we just sit down like adults and talk about what happened between us. That's all I'm asking for."

Nikki bit the inside of her cheek as his eyes begged her more than his words had the ability to.

Seth broke his gaze on her as he watched Triple H walk past him and Nikki then shook Mark Carrano's hand before entering the office. Seth looked back down at Nikki.

"Please." He begged.

No. There was no way she was going let Seth break her. She was done with him, and no matter how much he begged, she would not give in.

"Nicole, I'm running out of time here." Seth added as he felt Carrano's eyes on him.

Nikki already had her mind made up, Seth didn't deserve a second chance. Just as she was ready to finally give him a response, Brie's stinging words began nudging their way into her head. Maybe Brie was right about her tendency to hold grudges…

"Seth, you're wasting valuable time right now. You need to get in here now." Mark Carrano said pulling Nikki out of her thoughts.

"Just hold on." Seth responded feeling irritated and rushed. "Nikki?" He said as he returned his attention back to her.

"Okay, fine. Yes." Nikki finally gave in feeling overwhelmed.

Excitement grew on Seth's face. He looked like a goofy kid filled with joy.

"But just to talk. I'm not promising-" Nikki began as a disclaimer but froze when she felt Seth take her head in both of his hands and place a spontaneous kiss on her forehead.

He pulled away and with his hands still holding her head he leaned his forehead against hers. "Just to talk. That's all I asked for. Thank you." He said to her softly as his warm breaths hit her face. He kissed her forehead one more time before releasing his hold and stepping around her to finally go into his meeting.

He turned around to face her as he walked, "I'll text you to make plans." He said happily. Nikki turned around and glared at him while shaking her head disapprovingly and trying to hold back the smile that was fighting its way onto her face.

"Whatever, just keep your lying lips away from me." She warned him.

"You missed these lips, or else you wouldn't have let me kiss you a second time." He shot back with a complacent smile.

"Ew," Nikki said as she looked away from him then pursed her lips trying so hard not to give him the satisfaction of making her smile. Seth chuckled as he turned around to go into the office but instead he ended up walking right into the door Carrano had been holding open. And suddenly Nikki couldn't hold back anymore as laughter escaped her lips.

Seth groaned as he rubbed his nose that was subsequently hit with the door.

"Real smooth, Rollins." Carrano said as he placed a hand on Seth's back and lightly pushed him into the office.

Seth turned once more to look at Nikki but Carrono shut the door before he had a chance to lock eyes with her again.

Nikki shook her head and grinned. "Idiot." She said under her breath as she turned around to finally leave the area.

Meanwhile, Paige had been roaming through the backstage hallways with Emma by her side as they chatted. She decided to pull herself together after allowing herself to be emotional about finding out about Brie and Roman. Of course it hurt her knowing that the man she was in love with was back into a committed relationship with someone else, but she had to suck it up and get over it. She was done, it happened, she needed to move on with her life.

"I don't even understand why he won't let it go. We can't even have a conversation without him bring it up." Emma disclosed to Paige, feeling exasperated with Dean.

"You know what? Sex ruins everything and I am the number 1 example of that. So if Ambrose can't handle the fact that you don't want it, then dump him. Simple." Paige told Emma.

Emma shot her a look, "That's not the advice I was looking for, Paige."

Paige laughed at her blonde friend's serious yet disappointed tone. "I'm kidding. Well kind of- it does ruin everything." Emma took a deep breath and shook her head as they continued walking. "Why don't you want to have sex with him anyway?" Paige asked out of curiosity.

Emma sighed as she tried to figure out a way to say the real answer out loud without it sounding bad. She shrugged a shoulder, "I guess I just…" she started saying but slowly stopped talking when she spotted a few familiar faces coming their way.

"What?" Paige asked as she looked away from Emma and followed her eyes to see what she was looking at. Suddenly she felt her chest tighten as nerves flooded into her system. There he was, the man who had the ability to break down all of her walls without even trying. She quickly looked down as she and Emma continued walking and hoped Roman would pass by without saying anything.

As Roman walked and talked with his cousins, The Usos, his eyes laid on Emma and Paige just as they were about to cross paths. "Hey," He smiled and greeted them both. Paige gave him a half smile, barley looking at him, and Emma, well…

Emma was usually this super positive and bubbly person, who was also good friends with Roman at some point but in that moment none of that mattered. He had broken her best friend's heart and was the only person she had ever seen make Paige cry. Not mention she was friends with Brie and Nikki now too. There was no bubbliness for Roman. "Bye." She said quickly with a cold tone that took Roman by surprise.

He almost did a double take, to make sure that cold tone actually came from Emma. He was also a little puzzled by Paige's response to his greeting too, especially since she came to his hotel room a couple of nights before and said she wanted things to go back to normal. This was certainly the opposite. He turned to watch both divas as they continued walking before looking back and forth between his twin cousins. They both gave him a look that assured him that he messed up bad. He quickly said his goodbyes to the Usos before jogging back, to catch up with Paige and Emma.

When he soon did, he stopped in front of them to block their way. Emma rolled her eyes before glaring at him. Roman sighed. "You too, huh?" He asked.

"What?" Emma questioned back.

"You're mad at me too? Because I've never seen this side of you towards me before." Roman clarified.

Emma looked at Paige who was looking around, trying to keep her eyes on anything but Roman. She released a deep breath as she looked back at Roman. "I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at your decisions lately. Your dumb decisions." She told him.

Roman took in her words then slightly shrugged. "Me too." He agreed.

Emma gave him a slight smile but he could still see her disappointment. He glanced over to Paige and could feel how awkward it was for her standing there. She clearly wanted an escape. But he didn't get it. How could she come to his room and tell him that she wanted things back to normal and then not act normal. As hard as it was for him, at least he was trying.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" Roman asked her.

Paige finally allowed her eyes to meet his and it hurt her just looking into them. She swallowed to try to get rid of the lump in her throat so she could speak.

"Yeah." She was able to say.

Paige looked at Emma and gave her a "wish me luck" look then turned back to Roman when she felt his hand on her arm. He gently pulled her to the side so they'd had some privacy. When they stopped walking, she pulled her arm out of his hold.

"Sorry," he apologized, realizing that the touching was probably not a good idea.

"It's fine." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest. The awkward tension between them was palpable. "What's up?"

Roman looked down at her and eyed her, waiting to see if she'd look him in the eye. He shook his head and sighed when he realized it wasn't going to happen. "I'm sorry about the other night. It was a little awkward, the way you found out about Brie and I."

Paige took in a deep breath as she remembered the brutal discovery. She pushed her hair out of her face as she spoke. "No it's fine. I mean, I shouldn't have even stopped by. Especially since you asked me to stay away. I should've just listened-"

"No I'm glad you didn't. You were right, we should work on getting things back to normal." He told her.

Paige looked down at the ground as she listened to Roman's words. Normal? When she said that that night it was just a dumb excuse for her to get away from him so he wouldn't see her get emotional. She knew there was no way they could ever be normal.

"You know how I feel about you," Roman began speaking again, pulling Paige out of her thoughts. She finally looked up at him again and met his eyes. "And I know you don't feel the same, and I'm back with Brie now. It's just a strange situation. But I just want you to know that I'm trying to move on. I am moving on." He tried to assure her.

Paige hoped that the pain she was feeling within wasn't showing on her face. She swallowed hard before saying anything. "Great." She lied and forced a smile.

"I just want to clean up the mess I made and get back on good terms with everyone. Starting with you. We don't have to be friends or anything, I just need to know that we're okay." He told her with sincere eyes.

Paige closed her eyes as she looked away from him again, trying so hard to keep herself from falling apart. "Yeah, we're okay." She said masking her hurt. "Who knows, maybe we can be friends again." She said with a sad laugh. If she couldn't have him the way she wanted, maybe she could settle for less: friendship?

There was a long moment of silence between them. Roman knew Paige like the back of his hand at this point and could tell there was something bothering her. "Paige-" he started saying, as she started speaking too.

"I have to go get ready for my match." She said before he had the chance to finish what he was going to say.

Roman nodded slowly, "Uh yeah, that's fine." He told her. Paige gave him one more of her fake smiles before she turned away from him. "I'll see you out there." He said, referring to their segment together later on. Paige nodded before turning back around and walking away.

Roman watched her leave and felt this sudden emptiness inside of himself.

Meanwhile:

"Ah, Seth. My favorite Shield guy. Glad to see you finally decided to join us." Stephanie McMahon said as she shook his hand after greeting him with a hug.

"Sorry about that." Seth apologized for keeping them waiting.

"Don't let it happen again, son." Triple H warned him but it was still in a very friendly tone. "Now we have some important business to discuss." Hunter began as they all took their seats.

Seth nodded in agreement.

Stephanie smiled. "After what we discussed in our last meeting, we gave you some time to think over the proposition we gave you. I hope you have an answer for us. A good answer." Stephanie gave him a persuasive look.

Seth stayed silent as he looked back and forth between the four suited corporate higher ups in front of him. He subtly licked his lips as he tried to bring himself to speak. He had thought about his exact words and how he'd tell them that he couldn't do it, the words just weren't coming out.

"Seth, we need a decision. Are you, or are you not going to go through with this?" Triple H asked him.

Seth slightly shook his head. "I just don't get why they can't be in on this too."

Stephanie sighed. "Seth, we talked about this. We tried to get them on board months ago and they were 100% against the idea. You were the one who actually considered it until they got into your head. Think about all of the benefits of this. Think about what this will do for not only everyone involved and for the company as whole, but what it will do for you."

"This is what's best for business." Triple H added.

Seth looked down as he twiddle his thumbs. "I'm honored by this opportunity but I can't-"

"Seth Rollins, I really hope you're not saying no to me, after everything I've offered you. After everything we've done for you." Stephanie McMahon said, her voice intimidating. Seth looked up at her as the fire in her eyes blazed through him.

Seth looked away from her then looked back down to the ground. All eyes were on him, and there was so much pressure. If he didn't go through with this, he could only imagine what the consequences would be. How bad could it really make things, though?

Stephanie titled her head to the side as a smile crept upon her face. "Are you rethinking your decision?"

Seth looked back up at her again then to the other three in the room. He hesitated before slowly nodding a few times.

"I'll do it." He finally gave in.
