Chapter 29: Change Of Scenario

Third Person's POV

In The Bar

Elijah tried Kol's number for the umpteenth time but no one was picking up. Where the hell was he? It's been a long time since Kol walked out of the bar with a stranger girl and he hasn't returned yet. Neither he was taking any calls from his brothers or anyone else for that matter. Where could he possibly be? Moreover what could he be possibly doing for such a long time? Elijah was tempted to go out of the bar and look around for him.

"Kol really disappointed me tonight. I never thought he would prefer intimacy with anyone else but Jacqueline" said Finn while shaking his head to himself.

The Mikaelson brothers didn't want to believe that Kol would cheat on Jacq. But what else got Kol held up for such a long time? He left the bar with a hot looking girl after all. His brothers were sure that Kol would come back with a cheeky grin on his face. He would tell them proudly about how much he enjoying bedding the stranger woman and then killing her mercilessly. Unfortunately none of them thought that Kol could be in a life threatening danger at the time being. Why would he be in danger? Kol was an original vampire for crying out loud. What could happen to him? Only if they knew how wrong they were about Kol's sudden disappearance. However the duration of disappearance was getting Elijah worried gradually. Even if Kol was engaged in doing something disgraceful, he should have come back by the time.

"It's better we keep Kol's dirty deed a secret, especially from Jacqueline. She would be crushed without any doubt" said Klaus more to himself than to his brothers. He really couldn't bring himself to believe that Kol would spend an entire night with a stranger girl. The sole purpose of this bachelor party was brother bonding, at least for Klaus. And they were doing fine until Kol decided to walk out on them. Klaus only hoped that Jacqueline wouldn't blame him for Kol's actions since he organized the party.

"I think it's time we should go and look for him" suggested Elijah. Something didn't feel right to him.

"The last thing I want to do is walk in on Kol while he would be in between someone's legs" said Finn and indirectly hinted that he have no wish to go look for Kol. He was a big boy, not a toddler. Surely Kol could find his way back to the bar.

"What if he went back to Mystic Falls?" asked Klaus and hoped that that was the matter. Elijah thought about it too and called Rebekah immediately. Their sister picked up on the first ring.

"And what made you miss your baby sister?" Came Rebekah's cheerful tone of voice.

"Rebekah, is Kol with Jacqueline?" asked Elijah with serious tone of voice that got Rebekah a bit confused.

"Why would he be with Jacqueline right now? Isn't he supposed to be with you brother?" Rebekah's questions answered Elijah very clearly that Kol wasn't back in Mystic Falls and it raised another question. Where the hell was he?

"I will talk to you later" saying that Elijah ended the call without giving his sister any proper explanation as to why he was asking about Kol in the first place. It left Rebekah quite puzzled. Not to mention Kol didn't pick up his phone even when Jacqueline called him just a while ago. Did something happen to him? Rebekah, Jacqueline and Bonnie were still at the hospital. They were celebrating the good news about Jacqueline's babies. On the other hand, Klaus and Finn didn't need to ask Elijah what Rebekah said to him since they heard the conversation very clearly.

"It means he is here somewhere" stated Finn and sighed out heavily. It seemed to him that his youngest brother would never change his nature about being a playboy. God knows how Jacqueline would handle him in their married life? Right then a waitress came up to their table and handed Elijah a small piece of parchment. Elijah was confused to say the least. He opened the folded paper and read in his mind-

"Come outside... KP!"

"What is it brother?" asked Klaus curiously as he watched Elijah read the note. Elijah however didn't answer his question.

"I will be back in a moment" saying that Elijah got up and walked out of the bar with fast strides. Klaus looked back at Finn who wondered the same thing Klaus was wondering. Once Elijah came outside, he started looking around for a very familiar face. Elijah felt someone's presence behind him. A smile spread over his lips immediately. He turned around gracefully and came face to face with a woman who he deeply loved and cared for.

"Katerina." Elijah said the name in thick English accent.

"I have missed you." Saying that Elijah cupped her face affectionately. Katherine also leaned into the touch right away.

"Elijah, I have missed you too, my love" said Katherine and she leaned forward to plant a soft kiss on his lips. Elijah kissed her back with all the love he had for her however he broke off the kiss very quickly. No one else but Elijah and Katherine knew that they kept in touch with each other. And it's been like that since the time they desiccated Klaus by stopping his heart and sacrificed Jacqueline in the process. And since then the love they felt for each other all those centuries ago, when Katherine was Katerina Patrova, a living breathing human being, that love reincarnated and only kept growing with passing time. Though, unlike Elijah who really loved her, Katherine still wasn't sure if she was just using Elijah or she was also really in love with him.

"Klaus is here Katerina. It's not safe for you to be here" said Elijah with concern in his voice. Klaus may have changed a little since Jacqueline went to the past and had a great impact on his life but Elijah still doubted Katherine's safety around him. And for very good reasons. Klaus may feel closer to his brothers and the rest of his family now, which includes Jacqueline but he still hasn't forgiven Katherine for what she did to him five hundred years ago.

"I know but I had to see you. It's very important" said Katherine with serious tone of voice that made Elijah look at her with worry.

"What is it Katerina?" asked Elijah with calm tone of voice but anyone could tell that he was anxious from inside.

"I was in New Orleans and a little birdie told me that the witches of New Orleans are plotting against the originals, most possibly Klaus. But what concerned me most is that, they are planning on using Jacqueline because somehow they found out that Jacqueline is pregnant with an original's child and clearly they figured it out that she along with the baby is your greatest weakness right now. I had to warn you about them before they could do anything bad with Jacqueline" said Katherine but she stopped talking because Elijah was looking very troubled suddenly. Elijah looked more worried than Katherine expected him to be. Something was wrong, Katherine realized it. She frowned at Elijah with confusion and a bit of fear as well. Has something already happened? Katherine had yet to learn about what happened to Jacqueline at the pageant however Elijah figured that out already.

"I believe those witches have already tried to make a move against Jacqueline" said Elijah more to himself than to Katherine. Everything made sense to him then. Why Jacqueline almost had a miscarriage yesterday? It angered Elijah to no limit.

"What? What happened?" Katherine asked with anxious and worried tone of voice. Elijah however avoided answering her and asked a question instead.

"Who is the witch plotting against my family?" Elijah was determined to teach whoever it was a proper lesson for daring to touch his family. But of course he would learn the reason first behind their action before ripping their hearts out.

"A witch named Jean-Anne Deveraux" replied Katherine while still wondering about what happened to Jacqueline. 'Deveraux'- Elijah surely heard that name before.

"Do you know where she is right now?" Elijah asked Katherine but she shook her head in reply.

"But I know where her sister is, back in New Orleans" informed Katherine and Elijah nodded to that. Then he said-

"Take me to her."

On the other hand, back inside the bar, Klaus grew impatient while he and Finn waited for Elijah to return. He wasn't coming back though and neither Kol showed up. Klaus sensed that something was going on wrong and he had to find out about it. Especially about the piece of paper that Elijah received. Klaus stood up from the couch and announced-

"I'm going out to look for Elijah." He didn't exactly ask Finn to come along with him but his brother stood up anyway.

"It's better to accompany you in the search than sit here all alone" said Finn and both the brothers walked out of the bar. They went to the parking lot at first.

"My car is still here" stated Klaus as he spotted his car in the same place he had parked when they arrived in that place.

"Do you smell blood?" Finn asked as he breathed in the air. They were standing close to the back exit door of the bar. Just when Finn said that Klaus smelled the blood immediately. They followed the scent and reached the source in vampire speed. A girl was lying dead on the ground. She was killed by a vampire for sure. Klaus recognized the girl right away. It was the same girl Kol picked up for dinner. They thought Kol must be having fun with the stranger girl but if she was lying dead in front of them then where the hell was Kol? Where did he disappear to? It was only a matter of time now that they learn about Kol's whereabouts. And they better figure out the location before it's too late.

The Gilbert House

Screaming, that was what Kol has been doing for god knows exactly how long. He has lost track of time sometime ago. Though it certainly seemed like forever to Kol. No one should get through this kind of torture. Not to mention, how unimaginably difficult and painful it is to scream when you couldn't even breath. Kol wished to pass out more than anything else. He wished not to feel the pain with his conscious mind anymore. But unfortunately being an original vampire was keeping him from fainting completely. Kol felt like losing his mind several times already. The only thing that was keeping Kol sane was thoughts of Jacqueline and his unborn child. Whenever the pain was too much for even him to handle, Kol would remind himself that he has to return to Jacqueline.

"I always knew torturing you would be extremely entertaining" said Damon as he picked up a syringe full of some liquid substance in it.

"I don't remember the last time I had so much fun" said Damon with mirthful tone of voice. The original however didn't care about what Damon was saying to him anymore. The suffocation was driving Kol insane. And the white oak stake plunged into his abdomen was really giving Kol a hard time.

"Is this the best you got?" Kol yelled out after gathering every bit of strength he had in him. Even though Kol couldn't move but he was getting violent from inside. One little opportunity and he would rip Damon apart without a second thought. Oh the things he would do to that bastard once he gets out of this damn house.

"Of course not, I am saving the best for the last" said Damon in a vituperative way. It was actually a snide remark.

"Now, let's try this. Hybrid Venom. Obviously it won't kill you but it should increase your discomfort in a very effective way. And that's the whole point of being here, isn't it?" Saying that Damon thrust the needle in Kol's neck that made him flinch a little. Not to mention the vervain was still running through his system that was burning up his body from inside out. Kol never drank vervain before. He never needed to since he was an original. Therefore, his body was really not used to of vervain. Kol hoped for someone to come and rescue him for first five minutes of torture but then he was too devastated and exhausted to hope for anything good. Damon bent over to come in level with Kol's face as he was on his knees. It was a great sight for Damon.

"You should have never taken what was rightfully mine" said Damon without any emotion in his voice.

"And now... you must pay for it" saying that Damon pulled out the white oak stake from Kol's abdomen forcefully and then he kicked Kol couple of times in the wounded place in his stomach. Damon punched Kol in his face as well that really would have knocked Kol out if he was an ordinary vampire. Among all the torturing methods, Damon restrained himself from breaking Kol's neck or driving a wooden stake straight through his heart. Because it was no fun to torture someone while he is lying dead and not feeling anything. After that Damon put the white oak stake aside and took the meat cleaver that he found in the kitchen. Damon let the blade run over Kol's bare chest lightly at first. It only created little buts on his body that healed before anyone could notice. But then suddenly Damon used strength and the meat cleaver cut through Kol's skin, muscle and even the bones near his arm and shoulder joint. Kol started grunting in pain and screamed out once again.

"I guess it's hurting you but not much. Don't worry, I can do better than this" said Damon while taking the chopper out.

"I still have plenty of tricks up my sleeve" saying that with a smirk, Damon plunged the chopper back however this time through Kol's chest. The cleaver cut through the ribs and reached the vampire's heart. Kol growled out in pain and started shaking as well this time. Damon then pushed his hand through the cut after taking the chopper out and wrapped his fingers around the non-beating heart. Damon felt amazing doing so, to say the least. But sadly he couldn't enjoy the moment for long because right then the door opened and it revealed Jeremy Gilbert. To say that Jeremy was shocked to see the sight in front of him, it would be a huge understatement.

"What the hell is happening here?"

In The Woods

Tyler was talking on the phone with Hayley, while Elena and Stefan were walking beside him. Elena was looking at her phone as she was reading a text from Bonnie. She had to inform Bonnie about Caroline getting abducted by two hybrids. Bonnie obviously got worried immediately. Jacqueline got worried as well, as she was with Bonnie that time and heard what happened. Jacqueline was being very anxious about Caroline's safety along with others'. But there was nothing she could do to help other than pray that everyone will be alright.

"I get it, Hayley. I'll find them and I'll get them in line" said Tyler and he hung up the phone.

"Bonnie says no luck with the locator spell" informed Elena sighing out heavily. She was worried about Caroline like everyone else.

"They've got to be here. They're not dumb enough to risk getting caught by Klaus in town" said Tyler with confidence in his voice.

"Well, what do they want with Caroline?" Elena asked since she was clueless about the reason. Tyler stopped walking and turned to face Elena and Stefan.

"We have been working together as a pack since the beginning of it. And every pack of werewolves has an alpha. Kim is trying to prove that she's the Alpha. If I can make her submit to me, the pack will fall in line and we can finally get back to breaking the sire bond. And then the entire pack would be free from Klaus for good. You'd think they'd play along with how much they hate him" explained Tyler to the other two.

"Why did Kim turn against you in the first place?" asked Stefan with furrowed brows.

"Hayley and I were forcing Adrian to break the sire bond when he wanted to give up. Kim took the opportunity to be the alpha of the pack and picked up a fight with me" answered Tyler with a matter of fact tone of voice.

"You are forcing them to break the sire bond, why?" Elena asked with disbelieve in her voice. It was okay when a hybrid wants to break the sire bond on his own. But they shouldn't be forced. That's the point of not being sired to anyone. To have freewill. Besides, why was Tyler so hell bent on breaking every hybrid's sire bond? Why Tyler even cared? Elena didn't understand that.

"Look every hybrid needs someone to push them and motivate them constantly while breaking the sire bond because it's extremely painful. What I am doing here is for their own good? Adrian is a part of the pack but he is still sired to Klaus which means he could get us all killed by telling Klaus what we are doing here. As soon as he finishes breaking the sire bond, the entire pack could flee away from Klaus." Tyler defended himself by saying that. They started walking again.

"But what about you? Klaus would kill you as soon as he will find out that all his hybrids are gone. He would assume right away that you are behind it" stated Stefan and thought that Tyler was being stupid for risking his life like this.

"That's where Hayley comes. She will take the blame and flee from town as well. And it would be completely believable because Hayley is the one who actually knew how to break the sire bond in the first place. She is the one who helped me remember" said Tyler kind of proudly. Clearly he didn't know Hayley's real plan yet. Actually no one except for Hayley, Professor Shane and Jacqueline knew the fate of those un-sired hybrids. Hayley didn't even know that Jacqueline has teamed up with Professor Shane secretly and knew about her real intentions quite elaborately.

"That's a huge sacrifice to make considering she would be spending the rest of her life running from Klaus" stated Stefan and it seemed kind of odd to him. Suddenly they heard Caroline screaming from distance.

"Caroline!" Tyler exclaimed worriedly. They ran towards the direction the scream came from.

Jacqueline's POV

What the hell was happening? I had no clue. One minute Rebekah, Bonnie and I were celebrating the fact that I am pregnant with twin babies and the next minute, Bonnie received a call from Elena telling us that two hybrids have kidnapped Caroline from the boarding house. I should have known something bad is going to happen. I was experiencing a nagging feeling at the back of my mind for a long time now. But carelessly I kept ignoring it. I was trying to reach Kol too but he wasn't picking up his phone. And then Rebekah received a call from Elijah just before Elena called Bonnie. Elijah was asking her about Kol. Which clearly meant that Kol wasn't with his brothers anymore. They must have suspected that Kol has come back to Mystic Fall without them. But he wasn't here. Where did Kol go without telling anyone? My anxiousness was increasing with every passing minute.

We were still stuck at the hospital since Bonnie had to perform a locator spell as soon as possible in order to find Caroline. "You two stay here, I am gonna go search for Kol." I announced to Bonnie and Rebekah. I couldn't take waiting around anymore.

"No, you shouldn't go alone. I am coming with you" said Rebekah and I knew she would come along with me no matter what. I looked at Bonnie and she nodded her head to me.

"I will be fine, go!" I didn't waste anymore time and rushed out of the hospital room in human speed though. Rebekah was right behind me. On my way out of the hospital I noticed a woman staring at me from the corner of her eyes. And as soon as I looked at her, she looked completely away from me and pretended to never see me. It seemed suspicious to me at first but I let go of it as I had more important things on my mind that moment.

"Where should we start looking from?" Rebekah asked as we came out of the hospital building. I was wondering the same thing.

"Let's go to Sheriff Forbes first. She should be able to locate the whereabouts of his cell phone at least." I said and Rebekah nodded to that right away. We made our way towards her car. Just before getting into the car I saw the young woman once again who I had noticed staring at me just a while ago. Rebekah started driving towards the police station where Sheriff Forbes would be for sure.

"We should inform Nik about the hybrid mishap" said Rebekah making me sigh out heavily.

"Not tonight Bekah." I said and waited for her response.

"I am surprised that Nik didn't realize it yet that his precious hybrids aren't sired to him anymore and they are just pretending with him" said Rebekah more to herself than to me. Of course I had to tell Rebekah about what Tyler and Hayley were doing since she already heard about Caroline getting kidnapped by two hybrids.

"All credit goes to Caroline." I said with flat tone of voice. And now she is paying for it, I thought that in my mind.

"I am still a little confused about this" admitted Rebekah. I realized that it was better to explain everything to her than keep her in the dark. Telling Rebekah the half truth could be dangerous.

"In order for Bonnie to perform the spell that is going to wake up Silas, she needs to draw energy from the sacrifice of twelve." I said to Rebekah which she already knew about.

"But we already have the sacrifice, don't we? The explosion at the Young farm." Rebekah stated that with confusion.

"We need one more and this should be of demons... some crazy witchy requirement... anyway the point is, two sacrifices means two hot spots for Bonnie to draw energy from. It's better for performing the spell." I said and paused for a moment. "I am not really proud of doing this you know, sacrificing twelve hybrids. I wouldn't be doing this if there was another option." I spoke with guilt and regret in my voice.

"Hey I am not judging you and I don't think anyone else will. Yes, Nik would be a little pissed off at first but I am sure he would understand eventually" said Rebekah however that didn't make me feel any better.

"At first I didn't understand why Professor Shane wanted the hybrids un-sired and not just kill them off. Later I realized that if those hybrids aren't sired anymore, Nik would kill them himself and it's obvious that there is no one else powerful enough out there but Nik who could kill twelve hybrids at once. And as it won't be just a murder spree but a sacrifice, all the hybrids need to die in one place and at the same time. Professor Shane needs Klaus to make the second sacrifice happen. Actually it won't be possible without him." I explained to Rebekah who appeared to be very interested to know about my knowledge about the sacrifices.

"What is up with this Professor Shane guy? Why is he so involved?" Rebekah asked with curiosity.

"It's actually a tragic story. From what I've learned, his wife was a witch who died while performing magic. Professor Shane once went to the island where Silas is buried. Silas somehow contacted with him and told him that if Shane wakes his up, Silas would bring his wife back to life again. And also each and every soul who died on his behalf. That's why Professor Shane is so obsessed with raising Silas." I answered Rebekah's question but I knew more is going to come from her.

"Would Silas really do that?" Rebekah asked but I couldn't give her a confident answer.

"I don't know Bekah. That is something we are going to find out after we raise Silas. However if bringing the dead back requires dropping the veil of the other side then no one is coming back. We can't risk unleashing hell on earth. I haven't told Professor Shane anything about that though and kept him in dark. Another thing that I am not proud of doing." I said and Rebekah pulled the car in front of the police station. I stepped out of the vehicle and immediately noticed another car pulling over however at a little distance. I looked more carefully and was surprised to see the same woman from the hospital. Was she really following us? It was obvious. But why would she do that?

Inside The Stable

Caroline's hands were tied up in shackles. Kim pressed down on the chains and Caroline shouted out in pain as it hurt like bitch.

"Arghh. Why are you doing this?" Caroline asked in between her sobs. She was still clueless about why she was being tortured.

"To show Tyler who's in charge." Kim gave a straight reply. She cracked Caroline's wrists and Caroline again screamed in pain. Tyler, Stefan and Elena rushed into the barn and immediately charged against them.

"Stop! Stop it, Kim. Caroline's with us. Alright? We're all on the same team." Tyler tried to reason with the lady hybrid at first.

"She's on your team, not mine" answered Kim coolly. Behind Stefan and Elena, the other hybrids entered the barn as well. The hybrids restrained Elena, Stefan and Tyler while Kim continued to torture a screaming Caroline. Tyler attempted to free himself from the grasp of the two hybrids holding him back.

"Stop it! Stop!" Tyler yelled but no one paid attention to him.

"Ease up, Kim. Klaus won't like this" said Adrian because he was still sired to Klaus and couldn't let himself do anything that Klaus wouldn't approve of. That's why he didn't participate in the torture session in the first place.

"That's a very good point. Do you think he'll like this?" Kim said as she picked up a stake and showed it to Tyler and the rest of the hybrids. There was a nasty evil grin on her face.

"Kim! Don't do it. I swear to God!" Tyler yelled out and struggled more violently. Kim lowered the stake, aiming towards Caroline's heart. Elena looked at Stefan with horrified eyes.

"If you kill Caroline, I can promise you that none of you will get out of here alive" said Stefan making Elena frown at him with confusion. Kim however only smirked more and proceeded to stake Caroline. "Since Klaus would be here any mimute now" said Stefan which was a complete lie however it did work. Kim froze on her spot.

"I had asked Klaus to come over here while we were on our way" said Stefan and by then both Elena and Tyler understood what he was doing. Stefan was creating panic among the hybrids and it worked perfectly. Before Kim could interrogate Stefan's honesty, Tyler took the opportunity of distraction and managed to get himself loose from the hybrids who were holding him back. Tyler grabbed Kim and plunged his hand in her chest and grasped her heart. Kim gasped out in pain. The other hybrids moved towards her to save her.

"Stay back! I'll rip her heart out right now!" Tyler threatened dangerously. The hybrids didn't make any more moves towards the pair. Stefan and Elena rushed up to Caroline to untie her hands. Tyler looked dangerously at Kim.

"Kim put you all at risk today but I'm not gonna hurt her. I'm not Klaus. I don't kill and torture my own friends to get what I want. Now, we broke the sire bond, but if you want to be really free we have to work together. No one can step out of line. Now, you're either with me or you're against me. Submit. Submit or you die" said Tyler in commanding tone of voice. Kim fell down on her knees and Tyler kneel down with her, keeping his hand in her chest and his fingers around her heart.

"I'm... I'm sorry." Kim breathed out an apology and submitted. Tyler removed his hand from her chest. Kim gasped out at first and caught her breath after that. Tyler stood up and looked down at Kim. He looked around at the other hybrids, one by one, they got down on their knees as well, submitting to Tyler and showing him that they have accepted him as the alpha of their pack from now on. Finally Caroline was rescued however there was still someone out there who needed to be rescued right away. But unfortunately no one knew about it yet.

The Mystic Grill

April was scanning the crowd as she was searching for Malanie. Even though they just met each other, April really liked Malanie and considered her a friend. Malanie seemed a little heart broken to April the entire time they talked to each other. That's why April was planning on inviting Malanie to the Gilbert House where Jeremy is supposed to help her with studies. Spending time with them should cheer up Malanie. April was thinking about inviting Matt as well. Surely Jeremy wouldn't mind having them over to his house. April finally found Malanie. She was about to walk out of the Grill actually.

"Malanie!" April called after her that made Malanie stop in her way and look back.

"Hey, are you going somewhere?" April inquired curiously.

"Yeah, I should leave. I have been sulking around here for a long time now" said Malanie and wondered why April was looking for her. "Do you want to say anything?" asked Malanie wondering about it.

"Yes, actually. I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to Jeremy's house. He promised to help me with studies tonight and it would be great if you come along with me. We could hang out together and have fun." April invited Malanie with hopeful voice. She really wanted Malanie to come with her. Malanie was a great company. Besides, Malanie could use a little help with her depression. While April was waiting for Malanie's reply, the wonder girl was thinking about whether she should go to the Gilbert house or not. Jeremy didn't invite her, so manners told her not to go with April but then again, it was THE Gilbert house where Kol was killed. She really wanted to see the place for real this time. And Malanie might not get another chance to visit the place. It was a perfect opportunity. Malanie looked back at April who was still staring at her with hopeful eyes.

"Yes, I would love to go with you. Thanks for inviting me" said Malanie that made April smile right away.

"Great, now we have to tag along Matt" said April and she started looking for Matt among the crowd of people.

"Where is he?" Asked April more to herself.

"Matt is not here, I saw him leave almost an hour ago" informed Malanie and April nodded in understanding.

"Then I'll just leave him a text." Saying that April typed a message in her cell phone quickly and sent it to Matt right away. She looked back at Malanie and smiled-

"Let's go!"

"Are we walking over there?" Malanie asked and wondered how far is the Gilbert house from the Grill. She hated walking, specially at night.

"Don't worry it's not that far" said April and she indirectly confirmed that they were indeed walking. Malanie sighed out heavily inwardly. That moment Malanie unintentionally noticed April's wrist. There was a bracelet there that looked exactly like the bracelet Jeremy gave her in the show. Malanie had to confirm it if it was really Jeremy's vervain laced bracelet.

"Nice Bracelet" commented Malanie that surprised April a bit for a moment.

"Thanks, Jeremy gave me this" said April unknowingly confirming Malanie's doubt. She nodded her head.

"Do you like... have a thing for Jeremy?" Malanie asked boldly without any hesitation. However it made April blush a little.

"No, I mean, I like Jeremy but it's not like that. Besides, he is seeing someone else" said April and she changed the topic by asking Malanie about her love life. It didn't do any good to Malanie, however they found a topic to talk about their entire way. Malanie didn't hesitate to pour out her heart to April. Though keeping a lot of things secret from April was quite annoying for Malanie. But she tried her best not to say anything to April that she isn't supposed to know yet.

On The Road

"Why Elijah is suddenly heading towards New Orleans?" Finn asked as Klaus drove towards Mystic Falls. They would enter the town any minute now. Elijah had called Klaus a while ago to let him and Finn know where he was going to so that they wouldn't look for him unnecessarily. Besides, it was Kol who they needed to look for.

"He didn't exactly give me any proper explanation about that now, did he Finn? He better answer my questions once he comes back home." Klaus said the last part more to himself than to Finn. It annoyed Klaus to no limit that he didn't know what his big brother and little brother were up to at the time being. Finn obviously wasn't annoyed however he was concerned. Elijah sounded very serious over the phone. Something must have happened. And he wondered if it has anything to do with Kol suddenly disappearing from the bar.

"Did you inform Rebekah that Kol is missing?" Finn asked and received a negative response from Klaus.

"I am confident that it is within our capabilities to find Kol without worrying the ladies about it" replied Klaus smoothly. However he had a feeling that Jacqueline and Rebekah must have already suspected that something went wrong with Kol since Elijah called Rebekah and asked her about him. Klaus didn't want to further worry them. Besides, Niklaus believed he and Finn would find out about Kol in no time. Right then Klaus got a call from Rebekah. He received the call quickly.

"Sister, I hope everything is alright with you" said Klaus and hoped that there wasn't another problem that needed to be solved.

"Not really, where are you?" Rebekah asked sounding very troubled. Klaus cursed under his breath before speaking up again.

"Finn and I are back in Mystic Fall. What happened Bekah?" Klaus asked with serious tone of voice. However this time it wasn't Rebekah who spoke up-

"Nik, would you please go over to the Gilbert House? It seemed that Kol or at least his phone is over there. Please go and check. I am having a really bad feeling about it." Came Jacqueline's worried tone of voice through the speaker. Klaus didn't questioned her further and said-

"I am on my way." Saying that Klaus ended the call. However he did wonder why Rebekah sounded tensed up earlier? What did they get themselves into? Clearly if they weren't busy at the moment, Jacqueline would have never asked Klaus to go over to the Gilbert house. She would have gone there herself right away. Klaus would find out about that later. For now he obediently headed towards the Gilbert house, having no idea what he is about to witness.

Jacqueline's POV

I sighed out in relief after asking Klaus to go over to the Gilbert house. Sheriff Forbes tracked down Kol's phone through their satellite system on the computers and found that he was in the Gilbert house at the moment. I had no idea why he was there or what the hell he was doing there? I had a bad feeling about it though. That's where Kol was killed off in the show. I heard that from Malanie plenty of times. However nothing like that could happen to Kol this time. No one would dare to touch him specially not Elena since Kol's blood turned her as well. Besides, why would anyone want to kill Kol? He wasn't creating any havoc this time or threatening anyone's life which I was certain of. Kol must have gone to the Gilbert house for some other purpose. I wondered about the purpose though. He should have been hanging out with his brothers and have a good time with them. Anyway I'd find out about everything as soon as I meet him. However I wasn't sure when I am going to meet Kol because suddenly Rebekah and I found ourselves into a little problem of our own. It actually happened quite unexpectedly.

Rebekah and I were preparing to go over to the Gilbert house as soon as possible. I really wanted to make sure that everything was alright with Kol. Just as I was about to get into the car, I noticed the young woman again. This time I was confident that she was really stalking us. I told Rebekah about it immediately and we both looked at the woman. The said young woman tried to look normal and calm. However when Rebekah and I started approaching her, we clearly heard her heartbeat rising. It had confirmed my suspicion even more. However before we could get anywhere near the woman, she turned all witchy and attacked us with her powers.

Both Rebekah and I were caught off guard because we had no idea that the woman would turn out to be a witch. She used some kind of migraine inducing spell on both of us and we suffered for a few moments, I more than Rebekah for being a newly turned vampire. I had felt the babies move inside my womb as well. Clearly they were itching to unleash their own powers to protect themselves and me. Thankfully Rebekah being a thousand years old amazing original vampire, over came the pain in a blink of an eye and tackled down the witch before she could do more damage to me or the babies. However Rebekah didn't kill her thankfully. Because I wanted to know about the witch. And I guess Rebekah wanted the same. After I finished talking to Klaus, we started interrogating the witch with basic questions at first.

"What should we call you? Or do you prefer to be called witch that you really are" said Rebekah with stern and dangerous tone of voice.

"Sabine, my name is Sabine" replied the witch very easily. Her heart was pondering violently in her chest. Sabine knew it very well exactly what kind of situation she was into at that moment.

"You have been following us, why?" This time I asked the question. However I didn't sound as dangerous as Rebekah did. Perhaps that's why Sabine didn't answer my question straight away and remained silent. Rebekah and I looked at each other and she immediately twisted Sabine's wrist and threatened to break the bone there in two pieces. The witch whimpered in pain.

"Answer the question or I will break your hand right now." Threatened Rebekah and it worked just fine.

"I was asked to follow you" said Sabine, looking straight at me. It confused me to no limit.

"Me? Who asked you to follow me?" I asked getting close to the witch and intimidating her in the process.

"The witch community back in New Orleans. They wanted me to find out why Jean-Anne's spell didn't work on you." Sabine blurted out. Well she didn't exactly have any choice. I knew very well who Jean-Anne is and everything started making sense to me once I remembered something Malanie told me about what happened in season four of the vampire diaries series.

"What kind of spells are we talking about here exactly?" Rebekah asked with deadly tone of voice.

"A linking spell" replied Sabine right away. "Jean-Anne wanted to link Jacqueline with her sister Sophie."

"For what?" asked Rebekah but instead of Sabine, I answered the question.

"To use the link between me and Sophie Deveraux against the originals and make the family do things for them which I assume is all about taking down Marcel, the ruthless vampire king of New Orleans, right?" My statement seemed to have slapped Rebekah right in the face and it surprised me very much as well.

"Did you just say Marcel?" Rebekah asked with disbelieve in her voice. I nodded my head to her.

"Why do you look so shocked?" I asked her but Rebekah didn't answer that.

"Is he... is he an attractive dark skinned hot looking vampire?" Rebekah asked again and I frowned at her with confusion.

"I don't know. I didn't meet him." I said to Rebekah.

"Yes, that's him" spoke up Sabine and Rebekah started to breath heavily. I raised my eye brows at her in a questioning manner and started to get worried as well.

"No, this is not possible" said Rebekah to herself.

"Marcel is still alive?" Rebekah asked Sabine once again as if she couldn't believe her own ears.

"He certainly is" replied Sabine and I knew right away that I am going to learn a lot of things tonight.

Third Person's POV

The Gilbert House

Klaus couldn't believe his own eyes. What he was witnessing was beyond his imagination. Jeremy Gilbert was lying on the floor, unconscious and severely wounded. And his brother Kol was as good as dead too. Kol was tied up with chains and ropes and the ropes were clearly stiffed with vervain. Kol could barely stay conscious. Signs of torture on Kol's body were screaming at Klaus loudly even though Kol couldn't say a word to him. Klaus doubted Kol even realized his and Finn's presence at the door. No matter how much Klaus and Finn wanted but neither of the original brothers could enter the Gilbert house as they were never invited inside before. And the only person who could invite them inside was lying on the floor unconscious. He was of no use or help to them.

When Jeremy had entered the house earlier and saw Damon torturing Kol, he had tried to stop Damon but Jeremy was just a baby hunter and still human whereas Damon was an old vampire and emotionless at the time being. He didn't feel bad about teaching Jeremy a good lesson for interfering in his creative work. If Jeremy wasn't one of the five and Damon didn't have to worry about the hunter's curse, he would have killed Jeremy right away. But Damon was smart enough not to curse himself hence Jeremy was still alive and breathing; however not in a good state.

You would think that Damon must have run away when Klaus and Finn appeared at the doorway but quite the opposite happened actually. When Damon turned off his humanity switch, he got rid of fear as well. Damon wasn't scared of dying. He never did fear death in the first place. Damon stood proudly in front of an ambushed and tortured Kol Mikaelson while his brothers stood at the door. Watching him helplessly. Kol didn't have the strength to even open his eyes that time. Klaus was getting enraged and paranoid at the same time. He was continuously banging on the invisible barrier that kept him outside. Any moment now and the hybrid would decide to burn down the entire house to the ground in order to rescue his brother. Klaus knew very well like everyone else that Kol died on the show. They kept thinking that nothing like that would happen to him this time since everything was drastically changed. But what was happening with Kol at that time, clearly put that assumption of everyone at question. Damon not only was standing in front of Kol but had the white oak stake in his grasp as well. He decided already that it was time to end the game once and for all. Any moment now and Damon would drive the stake straight through Kol's heart and kill him off for good.

"Damon!" Klaus shouted out dangerously. His eyes turning yellow with both fear and anger.

"Damon, if you kill him, Jacqueline would die too. Stop this madness." Finn tried to reason with Damon while feeling scared for his brother's life. He regretted not coming to look for Kol earlier. Clearly he was being tortured the entire time. Only if Elijah was here with them. He was invited inside the house before. He could have easily rescued Kol. Damon stopped for a moment and looked back at Klaus and Finn. He knew what they were trying to do but they didn't know how much Damon wanted Kol dead.

"Well too bad I don't care about her anymore" saying that Damon prepared to stake Kol that would really kill him. He raised his hand while gripping the stake firmly in his grasp. Klaus screamed again at Damon violently but he could do nothing to really stop him. Before Damon could bring the stake down and pierce Kol's heart, someone screamed and ran inside through the door as fast as humanly possible.

"Damon NOOOO!" Malanie ran past Finn and Klaus. She threw herself in front of Kol before Damon could drive the stake through his heart. Malanie tried to push Damon away but she was just a fragile human being. She never stood a chance against Damon. The interruption irritated Damon to no limit. He grabbed Malanie by her throat and proceeded to rip her head off. Malanie thought fast and kneed Damon where the sun doesn't shine with all the strength she had in her. It fortunately worked and Damon doubled over in pain. Malanie took the opportunity to snatch the white oak stake from Damon's grasp and she threw it towards Klaus that he caught gracefully. That time not only Finn but April was also standing on the porch with Klaus. She was horrified and looked extremely confused by what she was witnessing. Her eyes fell on Jeremy and she rushed inside without thinking about anything.

"Jeremy, oh my god!" April quickly checked his pulse and felt relieved when she found one. She didn't know what else to do to help Jeremy or the situation. On the other hand, Malanie successfully saved Kol, just like she dreamed of doing. However in the process she invited her own death. When Damon over came the pain, his vampire face came out and he looked at Malanie with such monstrosity that it scared the soul out of her. Damon realized that his chance of killing Kol was lost forever and the pathetic human being standing in front of him was responsible for that. Malanie's heart threatened to burst inside her chest with fear. She wanted nothing but to run away from Damon. Only if she could get to Klaus who was standing not so far away from her. But the task was simply impossible.

"So Malanie, the savior of the day-" said Damon with cold tone of voice. He was enraged but still remained calm. "Now what should I do to reward you for your heroism."

Malanie glanced at Kol who was too weak to do anything. She glanced at Klaus who was pacing restlessly on the porch. Clearly he wasn't as anxious as before anymore since his brother was safe in a way. Because the only weapon that could have really killed Kol was now in his possession. And Klaus could careless about Malanie's death. But since she saved Kol's life, Klaus was thinking of a way to save her. Not to mention he was still feeling very much enraged at Damon. Klaus wouldn't let him kill Malanie. Finn on the other hand, took off with the white oak stake, in order to take it far away from Damon and lock it somewhere safe. Obviously Klaus permitted him to do that. Now all they needed to do was get Kol out of the Gilbert house somehow. Meanwhile Malanie engaged in a cat and mouse game with Damon.

"Jeremy, wake up, please wake up." April was continuously trying to get Jeremy back to his senses again. She didn't really know what was going on in the house and she should have just run away as soon as she saw that Damon guy turning into something monstrous. But instead of running away, April focused on helping Jeremy.

"Jeremy please, get up... Jeremy!" All the nagging and pushing made Jeremy stir a little. Malanie had run upstairs to get away from Damon. But anyone could tell that she wouldn't last for long in the game. Damon was simply enjoying the chase for a while and when he'd get bored, Malanie would die before she could even blink.

"Mmmhhhh!" Jeremy made a sound in his throat as he struggled to wake up. Kol was kind of unconscious as well. But unfortunately he could still feel the pain that was inflected upon his body. Besides, he wasn't healing as fast as he should have. Clearly Kol lost a lot of blood already and he was very weak because of that. On the other hand Jeremy opened up his eyes a little. He saw April's face hovering over him. At first Jeremy thought that he was seeing things but then April was talking to him which confirmed her presence there.

"Yes, Jeremy, Come on... get up..." April encouraged and pushed Jeremy more. She heard an air piercing scream from Malanie that moment. It made her gasp out loud in fear.

"Tell him to invite me inside." Klaus yelled for April.

"What?" April asked dumbly.

"Just do it!" Klaus snapped angrily at her. April actually flinched at the tone of his voice. She looked back at Jeremy.

"Jeremy, Jeremy,... you need to invite that man inside" said April and shook Jeremy once again. Jeremy managed to glance at the door and saw Klaus standing there.

"You can come in" whispered out Jeremy which was enough for Klaus. The hybrid rushed upstairs at first. Damon was feeding from Malanie and he made it very painful for her. Malanie was on the verge to passing out that moment. However Damon had planned on killing her by draining her dry. But he failed once again because Klaus snapped his neck before Damon could even realize anything. Damon's lifeless body dropped on the floor and Klaus grabbed Malanie. He fed her his blood to heal her wounds. Before Malanie could thank him, Klaus disappeared in a blink of an eye. When Malanie went downstairs, she found that Kol was already gone. Jeremy was trying to sit up and April was helping him with that. Jeremy was rubbing the back of his head where he was hurt. Malanie rushed to them and helped April with taking care of Jeremy.

"I think you should call Elena and tell her about Jeremy. She would be able to help him" suggested Malanie and April nodded to her. She called Elena right away and told her everything in short explanation.

"Damon is still in the house. We have to get out of here before he wakes up" said Malanie and along with April, she helped Jeremy stand up on his feet.

"I want to know everything." Was the only thing that April said to Malanie as the three of them walked out of the Gilbert house.

Jacqueline's POV

I indeed learned a lot of things in the last one hour. I learned about the infamous Marcel who was turned by Niklaus almost one hundred years ago. Klaus had raised him like his own son. I also learned about how Rebekah had fallen in love with him and wanted to spend her eternity with Marcel. The said vampire was involved with the originals until Mikael arrived in New Orleans and they had to flee from the town. Everyone thought that Marcel died, that he was killed by Mikael or his vampires. But no such thing happened to Marcel. Instead he gained power and at the present he rules over New Orleans. Sabine told us everything about how Marcel and his vampires torment the witches living in the quarters. The vampires kill the witches without showing any mercy. Marcel had an entire army of vampires running errands for him. Sabine also told us that no witch could perform any magic because of Marcel. And they simply wanted to get rid of him.

Rebekah and I assumed at first that that's why the witches of New Orleans needed the originals on their side even though by blackmailing. The original family could free the witches from Marcel and his vampires very easily. However I had a feeling that Sabine wasn't revealing the entire truth to us. To confirm my doubt I agreed on helping the witch with their Marcel problem very easily.

"Fine, we will help you." I said which made Rebekah frown at me with confusion and it shocked Sabine to no limit.

"We will go to New Orleans with you and kill Marcel." Just as I said that Rebekah grew uncomfortable which was quite understandable and expected. However I didn't expect Sabine to get tensed up as well.

"You can't kill Marcel" blurted out Sabine. I raised my eye brows at her in questioning manner.

"Excuse me?" I knew that moment that Sabine was hiding something from us.

"I mean, Marcel is strong and his army is very powerful" said Sabine while stuttering a little.

"I am sure we can take care of that easily." I said confidently. Rebekah was still unsure about what I was doing. It was clear that she didn't like the idea of killing Marcel. And it was easy to see that she still remembered him and had feelings for him. And the mere possibility of his being alive stirred up those dead feelings in Rebekah's heart immediately. I was certain that Rebekah would protest against my plan of killing Marcel, sooner or later. I just hoped for the later one because I needed Sabine to confess the truth to me.

"Inform your friends that Marcel would end up dead by tomorrow evening." I stated firmly and Sabine grew more worried. I leaned closer to her face then and said in low tone of voice. "Or do you need help with something else that has nothing to do with killing Marcel?" I asked and Sabine's eyes widened again. I knew right then that I was not finished with learning secrets for the night.

Third Person's POV

The Forbes House

"Here you guys are" said Matt as he entered the living room of the Forbes house. "I've been looking everywhere for you two." Matt said to Tyler and Caroline.

"Why? What happened Matt?" Caroline asked getting tensed up immediately. She was fine at the moment. Caroline just needed to consume a few blood bags after the torture session she went through earlier in the evening.

"Are you alright now?" asked Matt to Caroline with concern in his voice before answering Caroline's question.

"Yes, I am fine Matt" said Caroline, pleased to see Matt's concern for her. "Is everything okay with you?"

"Yeah but you two might get into trouble very soon" said Matt that made Tyler and Caroline look at each other.

"What are you talking about man?" Tyler asked sounding impatient as ever.

"There is something that you should know" said Matt and he proceeded to tell Tyler and Caroline everything he heard from Malanie about Hayley and her true intention with the hybrids. And why was she breaking their sire bonds. Matt also warned Tyler about a very vengeful Klaus and how that would lead Carol to her grave. Matt knew that after the confession, many thing would change within moments. But he needed to do this so that Tyler wouldn't lose his mother. It was the right thing to do after all.

The Gilbert House

Elena gave Jeremy her blood that healed his wounds right away. She, Jeremy, Stefan and Malanie were back at the Gilbert house. Thankfully Damon was no where near them. He had disappeared somewhere. April went back to her home. She begged Elena not to compel her to forget about everything that she saw and learned in such a short time. As April was handling everything very maturely, Elena let her possess the knowledge of vampires and every other supernatural being that surrounded them everyday. Elena still couldn't believe that Damon had almost killed her by offing her sire and hurt Jeremy so severely.

"Stefan, you need to do something about Damon and fast before he hurts anybody else" said Elena quite venomously. She was mad at Damon which was quite clear. Elena hated him at the moment because Damon could have killed Jeremy the way he hurt him.

"I know and I tried to but he is stronger than me. I can't take him down on my own" said Stefan regretfully. He was feeling guilty for Jeremy's state. If he managed to stop Damon instead of getting his neck snapped, then none of this would have happened.

"Then let me help you" said Elena with determination but Stefan disagreed to that immediately.

"No, you are not going anywhere near him Elena" said Stefan at once. "He already killed Lexi, hurt Jeremy. Damon won't hesitate to kill you as well the way he is right now. I can't risk your safety."

"Then how you are gonna tame him down" asked Elena with wondering tone of voice.

"You could go to Klaus for help" spoke up Malanie who was listening to their conversation for a while now. It made everyone look at her. "I mean after what Damon did to Kol, Klaus is bound to go after him anyway. And I am sure he can take down Damon without getting his neck snapped." The statement was offensive for Stefan but he let go of the insult however objected to the idea.

"Klaus would kill Damon." And Stefan would never want that to happen. Damon was his brother after all.

"No, I think Malanie is right Stefan. You can convince Klaus not to kill Damon but help you capture him" said Elena agreeing with Malanie that amused the wonder girl to no limit. She hated Elena so much since she killed Kol in the show but now Malanie had no reason to hate her. Elena obviously would never try to kill Kol. The character itself in this reality was so very different than the Elena she watched in the show, it was really amazing. For starter Elena here wasn't playing with two brothers. She wasn't sired to anyone. And there was no possibility for Elena to become a bitch this time like she did in the show after turning her humanity off. Malanie decided then that she doesn't hate Elena anymore.

"But what if Klaus isn't convinced?" asked Stefan worriedly. If Damon hadn't tortured Kol then Stefan wouldn't have felt so unsure about taking help from Klaus. Because then Klaus wouldn't be a danger to Damon.

"You guys keep arguing here and let Damon kill as many people as he wants out there" snapped Jeremy at the duo. His inner hunter was feeling enraged at that time. Stefan knew then that he has no other choice but to go to Klaus and ask him for help.

Jacqueline's POV

"Let me make one thing very clear to you, if you or any of your witch friends even think about harming me or my baby or my family and friends, I will personally go to New Orleans and kill each and everyone of you, understood!" I threatened Sabine dangerously and meant every word of it. The truth that she revealed to me angered me very much. Obviously she confessed because Rebekah and I didn't give her any other choice but to tell us everything she knew about. However what we learned from Sabine was quite pathetic.

"Look, we just wanted the originals to help us find Davina so that we could finish the ritual. We didn't mean any harm to you or your baby" said Sabine defending their action. She was getting very desperate to get away from us.

"Yes, but you were planning on using me and my baby and for what reason, to find another young girl who you are so willing to slaughter in the name of gaining more power." I said to the witch bitterly. She told us everything about their harvest ritual and what exactly happens in that ritual. I didn't know anything about it obviously. I remembered Malanie telling me that the writers started a new show in the other world named 'The Originals'. I assumed that Marcel, the New Orleans witches, Davina and this harvest ritual were all part of that other show. However this time with my and Malanie's presence in this world, events from both shows are colliding with each other. Well that's what it seemed to me.

"You don't understand how important it is for us to complete this ritual within given time" said Sabine and she pleaded for us to understand her. Rebekah didn't find the harvest ritual fascinating as well.

"I understand Sabine, the thing is I don't care. It wouldn't cause me any problem if you witches lose your powers." I stated that bluntly. They were actually planning on killing an innocent girl who may or may not come back to life after dying in that so called ritual. I don't claim myself as a saint but I certainly didn't want to get involved in their plans and plots about killing the girl Davina. Marcel had her hidden somewhere and he was keeping her safe as well. In return Davina was helping Marcel with controlling the witches living in the french quarters of New Orleans. They had a fair deal between them but the other witches obviously didn't like that a bit.

"It might" said Sabine that made both Rebekah and I frown at her with confusion.

"What do you mean?" asked Rebekah.

"Only a few witches of our community know about you and your baby Jacqueline. We are keeping this a secret because we are seeking help from the originals. But if you refuse to help us then we will no longer need to keep your pregnancy a secret. And you do realize what would happen if the enemies of the originals learn about this baby and I am sure that the numbers are quite high when it comes to vengeful enemies of the original family" said Sabine with undeniable confidence in her voice. Each and every being out there seeking revenge on the original family would come after me and my babies. Before we know it, we will engage in a war with god knows how many people.

"Are you threatening us?" asked Rebekah intimidatingly as she took a step forward at Sabine.

"No, I am just merely telling you about the consequences of your decision of not helping us" said Sabine with calm tone of voice. She knew she got to us, well at least she got to me. Rebekah tried to attack the witch but I stopped her. I looked back at Sabine.

"Go back to New Orleans and tell the other witches of your community that the original family would help you with finding Davina." I said to Sabine that satisfied her to no limit. I really wanted to break her neck that moment.

"What?" Rebekah exclaimed loudly but I ignored her.

"But no harm should come my way, no linking spell, or anything of that sort. Otherwise you witches will suffer horrible consequences, I promise you that." I made that very clear to Sabine.

"I am sure if the originals cooperate then we won't need to" said Sabine. I could feel Rebekah getting more and more pissed off at the witch and I didn't blame her.

"Off you go then." I said to Sabine who left us immediately. Once she was out of ear shot I turned to Rebekah.

"Have you gone crazy Jacq? We are not helping those bitch witches" said Rebekah with angry and annoyed tone of voice.

"Have you not heard what she said? If the news about these babies spread throughout the world, we will all be in grave danger in no time." I said and that calmed Rebekah down a bit but got her more worried.

"We have to talk to my brothers about this" said Rebekah while she sighed out heavily.

"Yes, as soon as possible." I agreed with her on this. We must solve this problem immediately. Though right now the situation seemed calm and under control but in the world of vampire diaries it doesn't take long for something horrible to happen. And I knew that very well. What I didn't know is that my problems were only beginning.

Third Person's POV

The Lockwood Mansion

Tyler entered the study room of the Lockwood mansion where Hayley was pacing restlessly. When she saw Tyler, she sighed out in relief.

"Ty, were you able to make Kim submit to you?" Hayley asked eagerly with impatient tone of voice.

"Yes, I am their alpha now" confirmed Tyler that made Hayley smile broadly at him.

"This is great. Now all we need to do is break Adrian's sire bond to Klaus" said Hayley happily. She failed to see the stern look on Tyler's face that moment.

"Adrian won't be breaking the sire bond" stated Tyler in a matter of fact tone of voice that confused Hayley to no limit.

"Why the hell not?" Hayley asked frowning at Tyler.

"Why should he? And why do you care?" asked Tyler instead of answering Hayley.

"What do you mean?" Clearly Hayley had no idea what got into Tyler all on a sudden.

"You already got twelve un-sired hybrids Hayley, including me. Why bother breaking Adrian's sire bond when you could easily hand us over to Professor Shane for the slaughter" said Tyler that shocked Hayley very much. For a moment she didn't know what to say to Tyler. Then she just decided to play dumb with him.

"I don't know what nonsense you are talking about Tyler" said Hayley angrily as if offended and tried to walk past Tyler but he blocked her way.

"Don't you dare play dumb with me Hayley. Why did you use me like this huh? I thought you were my friend. I trusted you." Tyler yelled at Hayley. He was shaking a bit as well as if he would phase any moment now. Hayley understood that there was no point in hiding anything from Tyler anymore.

"I know Tyler, what I have done to you is horrible. I have used you when you trusted me. But I had no other choice Tyler. I need to know about my biological parents. I... I need to know if I still have a family... or someone I could relate to" said Hayley, her voice was breaking over as she said something true to Tyler for the first time in a long time. Tyler remained silent for a moment.

"How could you be so selfish Hayley? Did you not feel guilty for once before planning the death of twelve hybrids who consider you their friend and trust you blindly" said Tyler with bitter tone of voice. Hayley didn't protest against the accusation and only lowered her gaze from Tyler. She had nothing to say about that. Of course Hayley felt guilty about what she was doing but like she said, she needed to find out about her family. And she was a little selfish indeed. When no response came from Hayley a heavy sigh escaped Tyler's breath.

"Adrian isn't breaking the sire bond and that's final. If you need to deliver twelve unsired hybrids then you are going to count me in, not Adrain. I won't be able to live with the guilt of getting my own friends killed anyway. I am not like you" said Tyler and he decided to leave. He simply couldn't stand Hayley that moment.

"I know you are nothing like me Tyler" said Hayley that stopped Tyler from leaving. She had tears in her eyes. "And I am not going to let you get killed with others."

"You are still gonna pretend that you actually care about me" said Tyler with stern tone of voice. Clearly he was not believing Hayley or her words.

"I know you wouldn't believe me no matter what I say to you right now but I never thought about harming you in anyway" said Hayley and that's the most truthful thing she ever said to Tyler.

"Why not? Were you planning on using me again for something else?" asked Tyler straight away without any hesitation. It hurt Hayley to no limit and also angered her that Tyler couldn't see her concern for him. And in her temper she blurted out something she never wished for Tyler to know about.

"No Tyler, I want you safe because I love you."

The Mikaelson Mansion

Stefan and Malanie walked through the front door of the Mikaelson mansion. Malanie insisted on coming along with Stefan because she wanted to see Kol and find out how he is doing. Hopefully he is getting better. Just when Stefan entered the living room, he was attacked by a very pissed off Klaus.

"Give me one good reason, I shouldn't tear you apart right now." Klaus growled at Stefan as he choked the younger vampire.

"Well he is not the one, you really want to kill right now" said Malanie sarcastically. Ever since she saved Kol, she found this confidence in her that wasn't there before. She felt fearless and strong. Malanie didn't even hesitate to talk back to Klaus who she feared the most when she first came into this world. Without saying anything else Malanie walked inside to look for Kol. She didn't feel shy about seeing Kol as well. Malanie felt like a different person suddenly. She felt like a hero and acted accordingly.

"Why are you here?" asked Klaus letting go of Stefan but his tone of voice was still hostile.

"Look, Damon turned off his humanity. He isn't in his right mind anymore" explained Stefan and hoped that that would cut Damon some slack for what he did.

"I intuited that when he proudly said that he doesn't care about Jacqueline anymore and tried to kill Kol afterwards" said Klaus with loud tone of voice before looking straight into Stefan's eyes with bone chilling demeanor. "Damon is going to pay for what he did to my brother."

"I assume you are planning on killing him" stated Stefan and immediately started reconsidering his decision about asking Klaus to help him with finding Damon.

"After what he did, killing him would be showing him mercy and Damon doesn't deserve mercy in my book" said Klaus and a wolfish grin appeared on his face.

"What are you planning on doing with him?" asked Stefan getting more worried.

"That is for me to know and you to learn about after I am done with him" said Klaus and left Stefan in thick suspense. "Now tell me where is your brother Stefan?"

"I don't know. I was hoping you would help me find him" said Stefan with uneasy tone of voice.

"Of course I will. Let's not waste anymore time, shall we?" said Klaus and gestured for Stefan to walk out of the mansion with him. Stefan wasn't sure if he did a good thing by tagging Klaus along with him in his search for Damon. God knows what his brother must be doing at the time. Also Stefan couldn't help but wonder what Klaus has really planned on doing with Damon if not kill him? On the other hand Malanie finally found Kol's bedroom and thankfully he was inside and all alone. Well if you ignore the dead bodies lying on the floor in a pile then Kol was certainly all alone in his room. It seemed that Kol has drained all the maids of the house dry to satisfy his hunger and regain strength again. The werewolf venom was still affecting him a little bit but that should go way soon. Kol was nicely dressed up in his regular clothes. He obviously heard the entire conversation between Stefan and Klaus. He just wished to get his hands on Damon for once. That insolent creature would wish, he was never born. Kol wondered what Klaus has planned on doing as well. It must be something interesting.

"Oh my god" gasped out Malanie in horror. She wasn't used to of seeing dead bodies for real yet. She quickly looked away. It was a different thing watching a dead body lying on the floor onscreen and seeing it for real with own two eyes. Kol understood that the girl was scared of seeing dead bodies. He walked out of his room and closed the door behind him.

"Sorry about the mess. I was a little bit too hungry" said Kol in his sexy English accent as he stood close to her. Malanie's heartbeat increased immediately.

"I... um... I understand" stammered Malanie and she blushed brightly right away. All her previous confident was slipping away from her slowly. Kol obviously noticed everything about Malanie, her blush, her fast beating heart but he didn't say anything and remained quiet about it.

"Would you like to have a drink with me?" Kol asked knowing she would agree immediately and that's what Malanie did.

"I would love too" said Malanie rather eagerly. Her heart threatened to burst inside her chest out of excitement. Kol led them to their personal drinking parlor. Malanie ogled Kol as he made drinks for both of them. For a moment Kol thought Jacqueline was sitting right in front of him. The werewolf venom was causing him the hallucinations. Kol shook his head a little to get rid of the fake image in front of his eyes. However Kol was severely disappointed that Jacqueline didn't come to save him. That she didn't feel his pain. But then he was glad that she didn't witness him in that horrible state. It could have traumatized her. Sadly, Jacqueline was still not here yet when Kol wanted her to take him in her arms more than anything else. She should have been here with him. Where the hell was she? He needed her. Kol needed Jacqueline to comfort him.

"Here you go" said Kol and handed Malanie a glass of drink.

"Thanks" said Malanie as she took the glass from Kol and blushed a little while doing so.

"I am the one who should be thanking you" said Kol as he took a sip from his glass.

"You saved my life. And the way you stood up against Damon, it was very brave of you" said Kol and he really meant it. He was certainly feeling grateful to Malanie for saving his life. He owed her one and big times.

"That's what I am here for" said Malanie with confidence in her voice this time. "To save your life and keep you safe and alive."

"Listen Malanie, I know that you have feelings for me but I am with-" Malanie cut him off before Kol could finish what he wanted to say.

"I know. You are with Jacqueline and you are in love with her. And I know you would never return my feelings but you can't stop me from loving you. I don't want to move on from you just because I can't have you. I loved you when I was in my world where you were nothing but a fictional character and there was no way I could have had you in my life. And even though I am in your world now, where you are very much real but I guess you are still out of my reach. And that's fine with me. I actually enjoy the one sided romance." Malanie tried her best not to let her voice shake while she spoke of such heart arching subject. She held back her tears as well. Kol however could see right through Malanie's attempts of keeping herself together. He felt bad for her. Malanie was a nice person and had a good heart. She should move on from him and find love in someone else. Kol felt that he should do something to comfort her. Without thinking much Kol embraced her knowing it would work right away. Malanie was shocked to say the least at first but then she leaned into Kol. No one said a word for a while. Kol didn't feel bad about hugging Malanie. He was doing it simply to comfort the girl who saved his life.

"Would you have loved me if you weren't with Jacqueline?" Malanie asked and she looked straight into Kol's eyes while she waited for the answer. She was giving him such intense look that it actually made Kol a little uncomfortable. Kol seriously thought about it for a moment. If Jacqueline simply didn't exist in this world then-

"Perhaps" replied Kol that made Malanie smile happily. They stared into each others' eyes. Malanie didn't realize when she leaned forward and pressed her lips against Kol's. An electric current went through her body as she touched those perfect lips. Kol was simply shocked. He didn't know what to do. Malanie kissed Kol with all the love she felt for him. Her hands were cupping his face. Suddenly Kol felt as if Jacqueline was kissing him because of the hallucination and he started kissing Malanie back. Their lips moved together. Kol wrapped his arms around her body to pull her closer to him more. Malanie felt like fainting with happiness that moment. Her dream of kissing Kol finally came true. She went beyond cloud nine that moment. Malanie opened up her lips and Kol pushed his tongue in her mouth that made her moan loudly. However that wasn't the only sound that reached Kol's ear. He heard someone gasp out as well.

"Kol!" Rebekah yelled at him. "What the hell do you think you are doing?"

That snapped Kol out of the trance he was in right away. Kol pulled away from Malanie immediately and looked at Rebekah only to find that Jacqueline was standing there as well. They both were looking at him and a breathless Malanie with disbelieve in their eyes.

"Well now I know why he wasn't picking up our calls" said Jacqueline while shaking her head at Kol and she turned to leave the room immediately. Rebekah throwing a glare at her brother decided to walk out with Jacqueline. However Kol used his vampire speed and blocked their way.

"Please let me explain." Pleaded Kol but he only received a glare from his sister and a hurt look from Jacqueline.

"It was quite self explanatory brother" said Rebekah and moved Kol out of their way as she and Jacqueline walked out of the mansion in vampire speed. Kol cursed under his breath right away thinking about what the hell just happened.

"Damn it!"

AN: Okay this is it for now. I hope you've enjoyed it. I need help with baby names. Please suggest me names because I can't come up with anything good. Now the questions is, 'Who you want Klaus with in this story, Hayley or Caroline?' and 'Who do you want Elijah with Hayley or Katherine?'

And do you think my chapters are too long? I mean I read other stories where the chapters are barely two thousand words where mine are over 10k. I could shorten the chapters if you want.

Finally the next chapter will come out when I get past 400 reviews. :P

Love you all, hugs and lots of kisses :)
