Hey everyone! Wow, I can't believe I've written another chapter for this again! I'm really bad at remembering or having the motivation to do this, so I wrote a short chapter to try to start writing more of this again. Hope you enjoy and happy holidays! :D.
Edit: whoops! Had a blonde moment and forgot about something. If you happened to read this before I changed it, it's towards the bottom. I needed to replace "shot" with "found."
Director Hashimoto
We burst through the door of what I vaguely recall being told was Misa Amane's condo. Poor Aizawa and Ide. I tried to will my legs to move, but they wouldn't cooperate, so Aizawa and Ide got stuck carrying me upstairs. Too bad there wasn't an elevator. Mogi and Matsuda shouted something, and I was painfully laid on a couch. I kind of hoped I wasn't getting blood on it. My eyes were closing and Aizawa was trying to keep me awake and ask me what happened. I was out cold the whole ride there, so he didn't have much of a chance then. Now he could focus on me.
"Director. Hey, Director. Please, try to stay awake. At least for a minute. Do you remember who took you, or where you were, or did he show you his face?" he barraged me questions. My dizzy mind could hardly keep up.
"Um... No, I... I don't remember much. They tied me up and put a bag over my head, I don't know where we were... and he never showed his face... but he was there. They... They did this to me. He has a lot of men he's controlling." I realized I was shaking and starting to cry. The relief had finally hit me. I was safe. For now anyway. They could have done so much worse to me. I was lucky to even be alive. Then anger started to seep in, mixing with the shock, relief, fear, physical pain, and mental exhaustion.
"Wait!" I gasped. "I just remembered! He told me where the next meeting place will be!" I can't believe I almost forgot. Well, actually I could, considering the circumstances. But it was good that I didn't. Fear wouldn't have liked it if I had forgotten. My tongue quickly danced over the small tracking chip he placed in the back of my mouth behind one of my teeth. How he got his hands on that typed of tech, I can only guess. I felt a wave of quilt overtake me, but all I did was start to cry some more. Fear had promised me he wouldn't send anybody to where we were unless it passed the new meeting time and Matsuda hadn't showed up. It didn't comfort me.
"He told me to tell Matsuda... 'it's at the place you found him. Noon tomorrow.' That's it. He said you'd know exactly what he meant."
And by the look on Matsuda's face, he did. So did everyone else apparently. "I'm sorry, Matsuda. I wish I could've been more helpful, or remembered more, but that's all I got." Poor kid, I thought.
"Ok, we'll get you some water, and you can rest now. It's ok, we're safe here." Aizawa tried comforting me. "Do you want anything to eat? Or maybe some tea?"
"No, thanks, just the water," I said, as I closed my eyes again.
Click.
My eyes opened. Was that the door? Did someone just come in? Leave? Everyone's gaze was on the door, but there was one less person.
"Dammit!" Aizawa yelled, running out the door, followed by Ide a second later.
"Matsuda just left, didn't he?" I asked out loud to a stunned Mogi.
He just looked at me and said "yep."
I sighed heavily and closed my eyes again, hoping he'd be okay, and also trying not to think too hard about it. You can only take so much in one day until your brain explodes.
