Chapter 29

It had been three days since they had last seen sunlight. Rock tunnel certainly lived up to its name because it was nothing more than a huge rock tunnel. And there were trainers lurking around every corner, just waiting to pounce on unsuspecting trainers. And there were tons of zubats. So many zubats.

Red wanted nothing more than to get out of this underground coffin. After countless battles with eager trainers, which Leaf and he had to end up alternating with, and fending off wild pokemon, his pokemon were pretty much running on empty. They had made their way through a majority of the tunnel, though and hopefully should be reaching the exit soon. Lavender Town, which Red knew little about, lay beyond the cold, damp walls of the labyrinth.

A few weeks had passed since Red and Leaf were reunited, but Red could still tell Leaf was worried about being separated from him again. Neither of them had been in much of a hurry to get to the next town, so they took their time passing through Cerulean and traveling towards their destination. Since they both had caught new pokemon, it was a perfect time to catch up on some training too.

"Look! I see light," Leaf exclaimed excitedly, pointing at a small peep of light up ahead. Having Charmeleon be their only source of light for the past few days, seeing some actual sunlight was a relief. Unable to control herself, Leaf took off in a full on sprint towards the exit. Red wasn't far behind as he rushed towards freedom. While the sunlight was blindingly bright, it was very much welcomed compared to the depressing dark.

"Freed-huh?" Leaf cut her cheer off as she noticed something strange. A tiny brown pokemon wearing a skull was sitting on the ground crying. She paused for a second to comprehend what exactly was happening before rushing over to it. Upon seeing her, the pokemon nervously backed away in a weak attempt to put distance between them.

"Just hold on Leaf. You don't want to scare the baby cubone," Red cautioned her as he approached. Leaf frowned as she studied the cowering creature, noting the cuts and bruises that covered its body. The cubone was much too young to be on its own, so where was its mother?

"I don't understand. What's a baby pokemon like this doing here?" Leaf pondered, inching towards it. After a tense second, the pokemon seemed to accept that Leaf meant no harm. "There's something fishy about this."

Red watched as Leaf gently coaxed the cubone into letting her carry it. There was no way they could just leave it here, so they would just have to take it with them.

"Let's get this pokemon to the center." Red led the way towards town. Luckily for them, the top of some type of tower was visible from where they were standing. If Red had to guess from his knowledge of the place, it was the Pokemon Tower, but he didn't know much more about the town. It didn't take long for them to reach the town, especially when one seething look from Red sent any potential challengers running.

"There's the pokemon center," Leaf sighed in relief as she spotted the glowing red sign. This little pokemon was a lot heavier than it looked. Nurse Joy's eyes widened in shock when she took in the beat up group.

"Oh my! That poor pokemon!" She exclaimed in surprise.

"Please help it. We found it by Rock Tunnel like this," Leaf explained, pushing the baby pokemon towards the nurse. She gave a firm nod as she took the pokemon from Leaf. Nurse Joy handed the cubone to the large pink egg pokemon known as chansey before turning back to them.

"Don't worry, chansey will take good care of the pokemon," Nurse Joy tried to reassure them. Seeing the despondent looks on their faces, she added, "Can I heal your other pokemon for you? Or get you a room?"

"That would be great," Leaf accepted, placing her pokeballs on the desk. Red did the same and grabbed their room key. The familiar hum of the healing machine filled the air while the teenagers anxiously waited.

"Sorry for the wait. Here are your pokemon. Please don't worry about the cubone. I promise we will have him in good shape tomorrow morning," Nurse Joy handed them back their pokemon. Red gave her a firm nod before heading over to the PC. Leaf curiously followed him, peering over his shoulder.

"Whatcha doin?" She asked as he logged onto the system.

"I have seven pokemon now, so I need to deposit one," he replied, pulling sandshrew's pokeball off his belt. After he placed it on the circular pad next to the computer, Red punched in a sequence of keys that teleported the pokeball to who knows where.

"Where does it go?" Leaf asked.

Red paused for a moment in thoughtful silence and then shrugged. "I guess I don't know," he replied. This was probably something he should actually look into. Blindly trusting that wherever he sent his pokemon was safe wasn't the best idea. Just as Red was contemplating the idea of asking Nurse Joy about it, the phone attached to the PC began to ring.

"Hey, Professor Oak," Red greeted him after the professor's face appeared on the screen.

"Red, Leaf, good to see you both!" He wore a big grin as he waved at both of them.

"Hi! What's up?!" Leaf eagerly shoved herself into the seat with Red, so she could get a better view of the screen. Red shot her an annoyed glance before returning his attention to the pokemon professor. That's when he noticed the sandy colored pokemon scampering up to his side.

"Sandshrew!" Red couldn't help but smile as the pokemon waved to him through the camera.

"Yes, I was calling to confirm that sandshrew made it here safe and sound. From now on, whenever you have more than six pokemon, they will be sent here so I can look after them. The same goes for you too, Leaf," he explained.

"Oh cool!" Leaf exclaimed. Red let out a sigh of relief. It was reassuring knowing that he wasn't just sending his pokemon off to some random place to be taken care of. Professor Oak was one of the most renowned of all the pokemon professors, so Red didn't doubt his abilities for a moment. Suddenly, a thought struck him.

"Professor, have you ever heard of Mega Evolution?" Red questioned. The professor's dark brows furrowed, and Leaf glanced over curiously at the mention. Red figured that if anyone knew anything about Mega Evolution, it would be Professor Oak. This type of evolution sounded like something that could really give a pokemon a boost in battle, and Red was willing to take every advantage he could get.

"Though I don't know a lot about it, I have heard of Mega Evolution. It is a temporary type of evolution that has very specific conditions that have to be met. Only certain pokemon are capable of attaining this state to begin with. Two types of stones, one for the trainer and one for the pokemon, are required. It is rumored a very strong bond between the trainer and pokemon must be present as well. Other than that, I'm afraid I don't know much more. Professor Sycamore actually just began to do a study on the subject. In terms of scientific knowledge, not much is available regarding Mega Evolution," Professor Oak explained.

Red took a moment to digest this information. He had no idea who Professor Sycamore was, but he could assume that he or she was a professor from another region. It seemed like chasing after this might be a hassle, yet if he could actually find a way to mega evolve his pokemon…

Red had witnessed just how much more powerful a pokemon could become when they evolved. Power like that could easily turn the tide of a battle. Maybe if Red were to see pokemon battling as some sort of hobby then he could just brush this off. But this was his passion. He loved the thrill of the fight, the bond between trainer and pokemon, and the challenges it held. He didn't want to just enjoy the ride of his pokemon journey. He had goals, lofty ones at that. If he was every going to become the pokemon champion, Red needed to know everything he could about the creatures.

"Is there anyone else that would know more about it that I could talk to?"

Professor Oak paused a moment in contemplation before replying, "I'll contact Professor Sycamore and see what he has to say about it. I could maybe even get you two in contact if he's not too busy."

"I want to know more about this too!" Leaf interjected. Red had been so caught up in the idea of it all that he had almost forgotten about his companion. And his rival. His gut twisted at his sudden reluctance to share information about this with her. She had set her goals high too, and judging by how he had seen her battle, Leaf could be real competition for the spot of champion. Realizing what he was thinking, shame suddenly burned within him. How could he call himself a friend if he wasn't even willing to share this with Leaf? If he was truly the better pokemon trainer, he would be able to beat her whether she had mega evolution or not.

"Thank you, Professor," Red gave a small nod and smile. Leaf leaned towards the camera, waving and grinning wildly.

"See ya, Professor!"

"Both of you take care now," the professor gave his own goodbye before ending the calling.

Leaf turned towards Red, an eyebrow raised. "Mega Evolution?"

"It's a long story," Red murmured, even though it wasn't, and he was just tired. Leaf rolled her big brown eyes but didn't push it further. Neither had slept in a bed or seen a shower for over a week, so pretty much everything else could wait right now. Red was so exhausted that he almost fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, something that hadn't happened since his constant encounters with Team Rocket and worry had started plaguing him.

The next day, Leaf was anxious to check up on cubone, so she dragged Red along with her to the front desk way earlier than he would have liked. Cubone, while still rather timid, seemed to be in much better condition than the previous day and even seemed excited to see Leaf.

"Thank you so much!" Leaf happily scooped up the little pokemon. It seemed unsure for a moment before melting into her embrace. While it was nice to see that the baby pokemon had warmed up to Leaf, it prompted the question of what they were going to do with it. The cubone was too young to train and take with them, but they couldn't just abandon it.

"It was my pleasure," Nurse Joy flashed them a cheerful smile before a thoughtful look came over her face, "if you two need somewhere to take the pokemon, there is a pokemon orphanage that I'm sure would be very willing to take care of it. They are very kind people who would raise it well."

Leaf looked slightly crestfallen at the idea, but Red seized the opportunity. "Thank you. Where is the orphanage located?"

Luckily, it wasn't a long walk to the pokemon orphanage. Leaf didn't make it any shorter as she took the opportunity to drag her feet whenever she had the chance. The fact that she didn't complain or fight Red about giving up the cubone meant that she understood, though. She may have a hard separating from her temporary friend, but she knew it was for the best.

The pokemon orphanage, which was actually called the Lavender Volunteer Pokemon House, wasn't much larger than an actual house. Red wouldn't have even been able to differentiate the two had it not been for the sign above the door and hours posted on the door. Inside, a young, red-haired woman looked up from behind the desk she was sitting at. She was in the process of wrapping a bandage around the leg of a baby nidoran.

"Oh, hello! How can I help you?" She asked, her blue eyes flickering to the pokemon in Leaf's arms. Red guessed she already knew the answer to the question, but he answered it anyways, "we found this baby cubone and were wondering if you would be able to care for it."

"Of course! Please come in," she finished wrapping up the nidoran's leg before ushering them inside. After she scooped up the tiny pokemon, she lead them around the desk towards the back, her long red hair bouncing with every step. There really wasn't much to the orphanage, with a pen in one corner, a kitchen down the hall, and a large table in the center of the room. Occupying the pen were two other baby pokemon and an elderly man playing with them. He curiously turned towards them at the sound of their approach. While he lacked hair on the top of his head, he made up for it with very bushy gray eyebrows. Beneath them, dark yet very kind and gentle eyes peered out at them.

"Mr. Fuji, we have some visitors who would like to drop off this pokemon with us," the woman explained.

"Thank you, Karen. What are your names?" Mr. Fuji asked the pair.

"I'm Leaf! And this is Red. We're pokemon trainers, and just outside rock tunnel, we found this little cubone. He was shaken up pretty badly and all alone. We took him to the pokemon center and got him fixed up, though. Would it be okay if we left him in your care? We heard you're really good with pokemon," Leaf explained. The whole time she talked, Mr. Fuji was carefully studying the cubone. After she finished talking, a look of realization and alarm crossed his face.

"I need to get to the Pokemon Tower at once," he exclaimed before rushing out the door. Karen let out a startled gasp as he ran off. Sighing deeply, she gave both of them an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry about that. He can get carried away sometimes. We would be more than happy to take care of cubone, though. You two can even stop in and visit whenever you want."

"Thank you! I would really like that," Leaf returned the smile and then glanced at the door, "What's the Pokemon Tower?"

"It's a resting ground for pokemon. Mr. Fuji visits it often to pay his respects, but lately, he's been there more often than usual. He says there's a restless spirit that needs help. I'm sure it'll be fine, though," she explained.

"Oh, okay. Thank you again. Please take good care of cubone." Leaf gave cubone one last hug and a promise to return before handing the pokemon over. It seemed nervous to be separated from her, but Karen's charm with pokemon soon won it over.

Once they had exited the building, Leaf turned to Red. "Should we visit the Pokemon Tower?"

"Yeah, but let's check out the rest of town first."

Lavender Town wasn't nearly as big as either Cerulean City or Vermilion City, but it was a nice change to be in a smaller area, even if it was a little creepy. It seemed like a lot of the town revolved around the Pokemon Tower, which, Red supposed, made sense. All sorts of people came here to pay their respects, and the town thrived from their visits. Various trinkets and charms were sold all over the town, promising to ward off bad spirits or bring good luck. Leaf decided to buy a small pendant that was supposed to guarantee success in battle, despite Red warning her it was fake.

"We'll see how fake it is the next time we battle," Leaf remarked smugly as she fastened it around her neck.

Then she spotted two black cloaks that the shopkeepers guaranteed would hide them from anyone or anything who intended to harm them. Leaf insisted that Red get one too, and was even about to buy it for him before he caved and just bought it himself. With her shopping habits, Red wasn't sure how she even had any money left.

The two made sure to stop at the Pokemart to restock on essentials before heading over to the Pokemon Tower at the end of the day. Red was right in assuming that the tower he had seen earlier was the Pokemon Tower. The building dwarfed every other one in size and finesse. They stood in silence as the craned their necks to get a good look at the top. People of all ages and backgrounds walked in and out of the building, yet the same solemn look plagued all of their faces.

"Scared?" Red teased Leaf because he knew she was. Her eyes quickly transformed from wide as donuts to narrow slits.

"No, of course not," she huffed, holding her chin high as she marched into the tower. Leaf didn't keep her bravado up much longer once she had entered the actual tower. There were just so many tombstones. Red knew it was ridiculous to believe that every single pokemon had been buried here, but looking at all those graves made him wonder anyways. And this was only the first story. Seeing all the people kneeling or huddling around a headstone crying tugged on his heartstrings more than he would like to admit.

"Wow," Leaf whispered, her voice a mixture of grief and awe. Since neither had lost a pokemon, they simply wandered through the maze of graves in silence. Red couldn't imagine the pain these people must have gone through when they lost their partner. Just the thought of it made him shudder. As if sensing his thoughts, Pikachu shifted uncomfortably on his shoulder. Sad as it was, there was something almost transfixing about the place. Like an otherworldly presence surrounding them.

"I'm surprised to see you two here," a voice greeted them from behind. Blue stood behind them, the usual arrogant gleam in his bright brown eyes replaced with a subdued sadness.

"We were just about to leave. We just stopped by to pay our respects," Red explained. Leaf almost let out a sigh of relief. As much as she respected pokemon, this place creeped her out. Blue nodded in understand and followed them as they left. The silence didn't last much longer though, because as soon as they had cleared the stream of people around the Pokemon Tower, Blue turned to Red.

"Battle me," he challenged him. Red studied Blue indifferently, an art he had mastered long ago. He could see Blue grinding his teeth as he waited for Red's response. Just to frustrate him a little more, Red looked up towards the setting sun before he finally replied with a shrug.

"Is that a yes?" Blue demanded. Red flickered his eyes towards the boy.

"Sure."

"Hey! That's not fair! I want to battle you," Leaf protested, jabbing her finger at Blue. There was a fire in her eyes that only Blue could rile out of her.

"I don't want to battle you, Leaf. Didn't you get enough of a beat down the last time," Blue huffed, rolling his eyes in annoyance. Leaf was practically shaking with rage and most likely about to declare something either really stupid or vulgar when Red intervened.

"Sorry, Leaf. You can have him next time," he gave her an apologetic smile. Truthfully, he did want to battle Blue. It had been a long time since their last one, and he was eager to prove just how much he had grown. He would never let Blue know that, of course.

The middle of town wasn't a particularly good place to have a battle, so they decided to take their fight to the training grounds of the pokemon center. Each trainer would be able to use three pokemon with no subbing, and the first to knock out all three of their opponents pokemon would win.

Red and Blue faced off while Leaf watched from the sidelines. Red quickly ran through his options before she declared the start of the battle. He had little doubt that his pokemon were stronger than Blues, especially with all the training they had done in the past couple weeks, it was just a matter of how he played his cards.

"The battle will now begin," Leaf shouted, bringing her hand down in a chopping motion.

Both trainers threw out their pokeballs simultaneously. Nidorino crouched in front of Red while a large bird pokemon hovered in the air near Blue. While Red had never actually seen the pokemon before, it didn't take him long to identify it as fearow, spearow's evolution. The battle hadn't even started, and Blue was already at a huge disadvantage.

With nidorino's poison point ability, any physical attack Blue risked could potentially poison his pokemon, and since fearow was a flying type pokemon, much of its arsenal would be made up of physical attacks. While fearow's speed might make it difficult for nidorino to get a hit, Red had faith that nidorino would win this battle.

"Start us off with a focus energy," Red commanded. A white glow surrounded the purple pokemon as it focused on summoning its energy.

"Fearow, use aerial ace!" Fearow shot forward in a flash of light before slamming into nidorino. He didn't even stand a chance of dodging the attack, but the poison type pokemon did recover very quickly from the blow.

"Poison sting." A barrage of glowing, white needles fired from nidorino mouth. Swopping and veering sharply, Fearow somehow managed to dodge all of them.

"Aerial ace one more time," Blue shouted. Fearow circled around before dive bombing nidorino. He jumped out of the path of the first attack, but fearow turned fast and followed up with a fury attack. Red gritted his teeth as fearow delivered one blow after another to his pokemon. Then, luck favored Red as fearow pulsed purple with poison.

"Horn attack." Nidorino was back on its feet and leaped towards its opponent. His lethal horn connected with fearow's underbelly, dealing massive damage to the flying type as the attack landed a critical hit. Nidorino tried to finish it off with a double kick, but fearow managed to dodge the attack and take to the air again. Fearow flapped its powerful wings before tucking them into its body as it shot towards nidorino. Instead of evading the attack, nidorino met it head first with his own horn attack. The two pokemon forcefully collided before being thrown backwards.

After taking a moment to get back up, both pokemon were breathing heavily as they engaged in a glaring contest.

"Peck!"

"Dodge, and then poison sting one more time."

Blue's pokemon shot towards nidorino, but the pokemon jumped right before fearow could hit. Directly above fearow, nidorino didn't hold back as he fired a poison sting attack at fearow. The attack, combined with the effects of poison were enough to put the pokemon over the edge.

"Fearow, return," Blue grumbled as he returned his pokemon. A thoughtful moment passed before he threw out his next pokeball and announced, "Come on out larvitar."

A small green pokemon appeared in a flash of red light. While the pokemon didn't look very strong, Red had seen it in action. Its ground typing would make it a difficult opponent for nidorino too.

"Don't let up nidorino. Use a double kick attack," Red commanded. Nidorino charged forward, driving its foot into Larvitar. The first of the two kicks connected, but the second larvitar managed to block. Larvitar jumped backwards to put some space between the pokemon before stopping nidorino in his tracks with a fierce leer attack.

"Finish it off with a rock slide!" Blue shouted. Larvitar leaped into the air and swiftly brought its arm down. A barrage of rocks formed in front of the small pokemon before hurling towards nidorino. Exhausted from its battle with fearow, nidorino had little luck in dodging the attack. Unfortunately for Red, the attack knocked his pokemon clean out. He quickly returned his pokemon and didn't hesitate in sending ivysaur out.

As one of his strongest, if not strongest, pokemon and with a type advantage, Red had little doubt which way this battle was going.

"Scary face!" Blue called out. Larvitar's eyes glowed red as its face twisted into a wicked grin. Ivysaur took a hesitant step back, obviously frightened by the display.

"Shake it off ivysaur. Start off with a razor leaf!" Taking a moment to compose himself, Ivysaur refocused on the battle before sending off a wave of razor sharp leaves towards his opponent. Larvitar raised its arms to block the brunt of the attack, but the super effective move still dealt a good amount of damage.

"Use chip away!" Larvitar looked up at ivysaur before it began to charge through the attack. Ivysaur didn't have time to dodge as larvitar slammed into him and began to unleash a barrage of punches, kicks and any hits it could manage.

Seeing his pokemon struggling with the attack, Red called out, "Use vine whip to get it off you."

Two long vines shot from ivysaur's bulb, whipping larvitar with such force that it was sent flying. The small pokemon managed to right itself in the air and stick the landing. Red didn't give it a second to recover as he called out for ivysaur to use sweet scent. Distracted by the enchanting aroma, it didn't even see the leech seed attack until it was too late.

Red smirked as ivysaur jumped away from larvitar to put more space between the two. If Red played his cards right and dragged out this battle, he might not even need to use another pokemon. It was possible ivysaur could steal enough energy to last him through the next battle as well.

"Sleep powder," Red instructed.

Understanding his opponent's strategy, Blue called out to his own pokemon, "Hold your breathe and use rock slide."

While ivysaur released a shiny powder into the air, larvitar closed its mouth tight and jumped into the air. Large rocks began to materialize in front of it, and with a swipe of its hand, they hurled themselves at ivysaur. Red admired the way his pokemon danced between the attacks and used his vines to block the ones he couldn't evade. He really had come a long way from the little bulbasaur he had picked up at Professor Oak's lab.

"Finish this off ivysaur, vine whip." Still in the air, larvitar had no hope of dodging the two thick vines coming straight for it. After it was thrown into the ground, a moment passed before it became apparent that larvitar wasn't going to be getting back up.

Cursing Red and his stupid pokemon, Blue returned his pokemon before bringing out his last pokemon. Blue's pokemon, a growlithe, stood proudly in front of its trainer. The dog-like pokemon held its head high as its tan, fluffy tail eagerly wagged back and forth. Red couldn't help but feel a little disappointed he was going to have to beat up a pokemon that cute.

"Use ember!"

"Counter with razor leaf!"

The two attacks collided mid-air, cancelling each other out in a flurry of green blurs and sparks. Growlithe leaped through the smoke the attacks caused, fangs blazing, but ivysaur simply swatted it away. Not bothered by the grass-type attack, growlithe quickly regained its footing and charged again, this time surrounded by flames. The flame wheel attack struck ivysaur, dealing massive damage.

"Sleep powder," Red commanded.

"Roar!" Blue yelled back smugly.

Ivysaur released a thick cloud of powder in the air only for it to be blown away by growlithe's powerful roar. Growlithe attempted to catch ivysaur off guard with another flame wheel attack, but ivysaur reacted quickly and sidestepped the attack. Putting some distance between them, ivysaur tensed in anticipation of his next order.

"Take down!"

"Fire fang!"

The two pokemon fealessly charged each other, ivysaur with his head lowered and growlithe with a mouth full of flames. Growlithe sunk its teeth into ivysaur's shoulder just as the starter pokemon's head slammed into growlithe's gut. Refusing to give up just yet, ivysaur continued its charge, ultimately crashing both of them into the wall. While growlithe slowly pushed itself back up, ivysaur remained on the ground.

"Nice work," Red praised his pokemon before returning it. Pikachu shifted on Red's shoulder anxiously. The small electric type pokemon was eagerly waiting for his trainer to call on him, but Red had other plans. Enlarging his next pokeball, Red released pidgeotto. While pikachu would have done just fine against growlithe, Red figured it was time to give his bird pokemon a chance to shine. As if sensing his trainer's thoughts, pidgeotto let out a battle cry.

"Use ember!"

"Gust!"

Growlithe released a spray of fiery embers, only to have them blown away by a huge gust of wind. The attack was strong enough to send growlithe tumbling backward. Pidgeotto wasted no time in dive bombing the fire type with a peck attack. The bird pokemon continued his assault until growlithe managed to summon an ember attack strong enough to push it away.

It was easy to tell from the way growlithe's legs shook and the deep breathes that rose in its chest that the pokemon couldn't take much more. Pidgeotto circled in the air, eyeing its prey excitedly.

"Quick attack." Growlithe didn't even have time to react as pidgeotto rammed into its chest. The poor pokemon crumpled to the ground and didn't get back up. Blue was tight-lipped as he returned his last pokemon, his eyes narrowed in frustration. After returning his own pokemon, Red walked over to the teenager.

"Good battle," he gave him a small nod.

Blue muttered something under his breath, gave a small nod back and said, "Yeah, you too."

He didn't bother to stay much longer after his defeat, even with Leaf pestering and baiting him. Either humiliated or deeply angered by the loss, Blue slipped out of there the first opportunity he got. While Blue couldn't stop frowning, Leaf couldn't stop grinning.

"You were great Red! That was so fun to watch, and I learn a lot by watching you battle. Now I want to battle again!" she declared excitedly.

Red laughed nervously, shaking his head, "maybe another time."

The rest of the night the two spent down in the commons area of the pokemon center, playing cards with other trainers. It was incredibly relieving to just relax for a little bit and not worry about where their next bed was going to be. Both found that a mattress was much more comfortable to sleep on than a sleeping blanket.

The next morning, Red and Leaf had barely made it into the main area of the pokemon center when Karen rushed in. Her red hair was disheveled and her blue eyes wide as she searched the room. When they spotted the two trainers, she ran to their side.

"Red, Leaf! Please, I need your help. It's Mr. Fuji, I think that something is wrong. I didn't know who else to ask," her words came out in a jumble of frantic panic.

"Woah, calm down. Everything is going to be fine. Tell us what happened," Leaf calmed her in a steady, reassuring voice.

Tears pricked the corners of Karen's eyes as she took a deep breath. Her voice was shaky with panic as she tried again, "I left the pokemon with a friend, but I have to hurry back. Please, you have to help me. I-I think Mr. Fuji's been kidnapped."
