"Nicole?" I moaned quietly hearing my name being called over the rain bouncing off the car "sweetheart wake up" Cyrus called again as his head gentle squeezed my thigh giving it a little shake to wake me up.

Lifting my head, I saw that we were still driving, but I had no idea where we were going, "What's going on?" I questioned rubbing my eyes a little as Cyrus glanced over to me with a small smile that I've only ever seen him do to me.

"Rain's getting too heavy, we'll have to stop somewhere" He explained as I stretched letting out a low moan as my bones cricked "How long have we been driving."

Turning to look at Cyrus, I was shocked to see him already facing me with lust darkened eyes "about fifty minutes; you fell asleep as soon as we hit the road."

Nodding, I looked out of the window and noticed a glowing sign up ahead, "how about there?" I ask Cyrus who narrows his eyes at the glowing motel sign before turning into the motel parking lot, and parking somewhere inconspicuous.

Turning off the car, we sat silently for a moment with only the sound of the rain hitting the roof, disturbing the silence between us "How are we gonna do this? They're already looking for us" I muttered biting my lip as Cyrus frowned in thought.

"I could go in, they might not even have an idea of what I look like yet" I added as Cyrus quickly gazed at me shaking his head "if they have the tiniest of idea who you are then it's game over for us" he explained, well he was the expert at escaping.

Sighing to myself I leaned my head against the window looking out into the rain when one of the doors opened, and it's occupant slipped out to put a sign on the doorknob as I let out a laugh "Hey Cy, he looks a little like you."

I let out a giggle when Cyrus rolled his eyes leaning over me to see where I was pointing at "huh" I frowned when he moved back with a thoughtful expression, "What?" I asked not understanding as Cyrus seemed to be on some kind of different wavelength "he does look like me."

Taking the keys out of the ignition Cyrus turned to me "Stay here, don't get out of the car and if you see anyone duck down" I opened my mouth to speak, but he pressed a kiss to my forehead and opened the car door before locking it behind him.

"What the hell?" I muttered to myself watching him run out into the rain, glancing around meticulously, before entering the motel room of his doppelganger "what is he up to?" bouncing my knee nervously I noticed a patrol car slowly make it's way past the motel.

Holding my breath, I gasped when it slowed down for a moment "please go, just move on" I whispered sliding down in the seat a little, it was pitch black outside, the only luminous thing was the motel sign and lights coming from various motel windows, but I was still terrified they'd see me.

The patrol car soon took off as I let out a breath of relief until a bang on the window made me scream "Jesus!" I cried out seeing Cyrus on the other side watching me in confusion as he opened my door "You scared the hell out of me" I laughed when my heart regained its normal beat.

"Let's go" Cyrus ordered glancing around before taking my hand and bringing me out into the heavy rain, as soon as I left the car I felt the water seeping through my clothes and drenching my hair "we didn't get a room" I called to him over the loud rain as he pulled me through the car park.

Feeling my feet splash through the puddle I laughed as we broke out into a short run, lightning was beginning to break out above us as Cyrus led me to the motel room he had entered before.

Opening the door, he gently pushed me into the room before locking the door behind us and drawing the curtains tighter.

Noticing the TV on and suitcases piled in the corner of the room, but there was no one else here "Where did he go?" I turned to Cyrus, who just raised his eyebrows at me, and I suddenly realized, "but why?".

Grabbing my shoulder softly Cyrus sat me on the bed "You were right he did look like me. See" passing me an I.D I noticed the odd similarities between the two men if I didn't know I would say they were the same person with a bad photo I.D.

Sifting through the bags Cyrus pulled out some more things, a passport was one of them, picking up the small book Cyrus gave me a grin "with this we could catch a plane and be in Mexico in five hours tops."

Jumping up from the bed I grabbed his arms with an excited smile "then let's go" Cyrus laughed and place his arms around my waist "We'll wait until dawn and then go, the rain is too bad for us to drive in right now."

Nodding my head I glanced down at the passport in my hand "So 'Mr. Giles' how am I supposed to get on a plane?" I questioned after i realized I wouldn't be able to use my own passport "I'll figure that out tomorrow" Cyrus admitted as he took his new passport from my hands.

Biting my lip again I felt antsy, and Cyrus noticed "Don't worry Sweetheart, I'll get us far away from here, this time tomorrow we'll be on a sandy beach sipping cocktails."

Giggling I placed my arms around his neck thinking about his words "I can't wait, just me and you" I smiled bringing his head down so I could place our foreheads together "just me and you" he repeated against my lips.

"we're gonna to do this" I smiled as I pulled away from him "it's really gonna work" Cyrus laughed as he began pulling clothes out of the suitcase "did you ever doubt me" rolling my eyes I glance around the room and walked over to a closet door "You might not want to do that Sweetheart".

Narrowing my eyes, I tugged the door open to see Cyrus' lookalike and a woman both wide-eyed, dead, lay in odd positions in the small space "Oh so that's where he went" I nodded to myself looking at bodies "Wait who's the girl?".

Cyrus peered over me his chin rest on my shoulder as I felt him shrug "She was here with him" I made a face in acceptances before closing the door again "they won't start to smell right?" I questioned looking back at the closet with a grimace.

"No" Cyrus answered sorting out the suitcases and passing me one "not yet at least" glaring at his mocking smile I unzipped the bag and smiled seeing women's clothes and shoes "why do I feel like this day keeps getting better and not hitting us with some weird cosmic karma?".

Seeing my man's questioning look I sighed and started pulling together things to change into "I mean, we've killed a lot of people, and I helped you escape, I murdered my own Father and an ex-Army Ranger" I rolled my eyes when Cyrus gave me a proud smile.

"So why is everything looking up, we should be getting rained down up with a shit ton of backlash, but we're not" I spoke feeling myself becoming anxiety-ridden until Cyrus held me in his arms and rubbing my back.

"I don't believe in karma, princess, but I do believe this is where you and I are supposed to be, together, and if we have to kill a couple of hundred people to get there then I'll do it" It's weird how Cyrus' words always made me feel instantly better, he knew me more than I knew myself, I trust him with my life.

I felt him grab my chin and turn my head up "stop waiting for the other shoe to drop, I'll never let them take you away from me again" I let out a small sigh when his lips push against mine and the feeling of his arms tight around my waist made me feel like I was in heaven.

"There's nowhere else I'd want to be" I admitted as Cyrus smirked as he quickly pressed his mouth back to mine I whined pushing my body closer to his needing to feel him tighter against me "Cy..." I moaned as he picked me up by the back of my legs.

Wrapping my legs around his waist, I started to kiss his neck as he sat himself on the edge of the bed and placed me on his lap before a loud moaning came from next door the walls started to bang.

"Oh my god" I giggled embarrassed and placed my head in the crook of his neck, feeling his body shake I looked up to see him chuckling too.

"Guess that's our entertainment for the night" Cyrus laughed as I made my way over to the bathroom with a towel and bathing necessities I found.

"Well you can have fun with the 'swingers' next door I'm gonna take a shower" listening to his amused laugh I quickly closed the door with a smirk.
