This was a three person chapter written by me, Imagination Heaven, and Ssjshadic. I did the proofreading and plot for the chapter, before I tried writing the chapter but these two authors helped me finished it. I hope you enjoy.

"Finally! We made it out!"
Patrick heaved a breath of relief when daylight hit his face fully, instead of leaking through overhead tree branches. He spread out his arms and stretched, savoring the warmth. He was still wondering about Snivy's origins in the back of his mind, but having the clear sky to greet him at the start of the day was too pleasant for him to be distracted just then.
"Foo!"
Mienfoo tugged at Patrick's pant leg. The trek through the forest had left its marks on both Mienfoo and Snivy.
"Yeah, I got it. We should keep moving. The city is still a ways off, and you two need some actual rest."
Patrick smiled, ran a hand through his hair, and started down the path that led toward Castelia City. The second he did, though, he went right back to wondering about who Snivy's trainer was. Why would anybody just leave their Pokémon alone in the forest, he wondered. He watched Snivy skip a few feet ahead of him, bursting at the seams with energy, and a different question came to him. For what reason would a Pokémon leave his trainer, let alone agree to join up with another one?

Patrick was still wondering about it an hour later when the three stumbled upon a small cottage a ways away from the city. An old woman with grey hair was working on the porch. Noticing Patrick, she waved him over.
"Good morning, young man. I see you have a couple of friends in need of some care. Allow me to help."
Mienfoo and Snivy seemed to like the old woman right away, so Patrick agreed. They went inside and she pulled out a collection of herbs and other things he didn't recognize from a dusty cabinet. She had Snivy sit up on a wooden table first, squinting her eyes at Mienfoo before tending to him.
"Ah, that brings back memories. My late husband had a Mienfoo once, too. That was a long time ago, when I was young, of course."
Patrick knelt next to Mienfoo and hugged him, lifting him in his arms. The old lady finished helping Snivy quickly, and Patrick set Mienfoo down on the table.
"Was your husband a train-"
A loud series of footsteps stomping on the porch and the door banging open cut Patrick short, a young girl with long brown hair charging inside. Another young woman, with a face like the old healer, wasn't far behind.
"Granny! We came to visit!"
The girls eyes widened at the sight of Snivy and Mienfoo. She squealed.
"Hooray! Visitors!"
The young woman quietly shut the front door behind her.
"Don't shout so loud, dear. Hi, Mom. I thought we'd come help tidy up the place."
Mienfoo was already healed and playing with the young girl. Patrick decided to offer his help.
"Can I do anything to help you? I feel bad just showing up to have you take care of my Pokémon without doing anything."
The young woman smiled, and the old lady beamed, practically dragging Patrick outside to her backyard. To his left there was a garden overflowing with fresh fruit. To his right sat a massive pile of lumber.
"Leave the cleaning to us, dear. We'll need plenty of wood for the stove to cook today, and there's plenty of fruit that needs picking and cutting."
She was back inside the house before Patrick could say anything else. Mienfoo and Snivy had followed him outside. Patrick looked from one to the other.
"You two wanna help out too?"
They each jumped to show their eagerness. Patrick smiled.
"Okay! Mienfoo, you're on wood chopping duty! Force Palm!"
In the blink of an eye, Mienfoo bounded from the porch and began splitting the lumber into neat rectangular blocks. Snivy awaited his instructions.
"Snivy, pick out the best of the fruit with Vine Whip, then cut it up with Leaf Blade!"
The little grass Pokémon cried out with glee, precisely striking the ripe fruit to send it flying into the air, then cutting it up before it fell into a large basket that Patrick held to catch it in.

"Where do you want the fruit?"
Patrick lugged a heavy basket full of the fresh fruit back into the house. The girl was there to greet him.
"Granny said to tell you to put it on the table!"
He smiled at her, a little sadness welling up. The girl's lively cheer reminded him of Lily. As he hauled the fruit into the kitchen, he noticed a picture of a young man hanging on the wall. The girl noticed and chimed in.
"You wanna know about Grandpa?"
Patrick remembered that the old lady had told him that her husband used to be a trainer.
"Sure, if you feel like sharing."
She told Patrick to sit down so she could tell the story better. He listened closely, leaning forward with his hands on his knees.
"Grandma was 18 years old at that time. If I'm not wrong, grandma was a psychic in training. She said a young man, about her age, was trying to be a Pokémon Trainer. Seeing his determination and hoping she would be able to gain some skills, she travelled with him. At that point, she could only lift paper, she wasn't a very skilled psychic…" The girl said, trying to recall the story.
Patrick nodded, giving her a sign to carry on.
"One day on their travels, they helped out an old man who fainted on the road. They took care of him until he woke up and since it was raining heavily, he told them a story to kill time. The story was on a Pokémon named Victini, who was said to give infinite energy to whoever caught it successfully. Grandma didn't tell me how the story went, but she said something about Victini being the only of its kind in the world. Grandpa was a very determined person and decided to find and catch Victini, hoping that Victini's addition to his team will help him immensely." The girl carried on.
The girl stayed silent for a moment, deep in thought.
"Is everything okay?" Patrick asked.
"Yesyes. I was just trying to remember how that part of the story went." She whined. "Oh, I remember now!" She said with glee. " While trying to search for Victini, they accidentally entered the Burnt Tower in Johto, not knowing what it was. There, they met the three legendary dogs of Johto: Entei, the fire type, Suicune, the water type and Raikou, the electric type. Grandpa saw this as an opportunity to test his skill and capture them, so he challenged each of them individually. He tried to play it smart by using type matchup, using his Pignite against Entei, Zebstrika against Suicune and Simisage against Raikou." The girl said.
Flashback
"Go Pignite!" a young male trainer shouted.
A Pignite appeared out of its Pokéball, looking ready to fight. Pignite was bigger than the runt Tepig and stood on two legs instead of four. It had two brawny muscles and a very big red nose.
The Entei scoffed at the Pignite.
"Pignite, Arm Thrust!" The young trainer ordered.
Pignite, instead of following orders, ended up hitting himself, giving himself heavy damage.
"The Entei used swagger!" The young female psychic shouted.
The Entei's eyes grew blue, the sign of an Extrasensory move and Pignite was suddenly stretched and then it fainted.
The young trainer returned Pignite as the Entei ran away.
The young trainer was disheartened but attempted a battle against Suicune.
"Zebstrika! Your turn now!" He threw a Pokéball and Zebstrika was released, glaring at its opponent. Zebstrika was a dark furred Pokemon like Blitzle its preevolved form. The different was its ridge had white spikes through it and it had a star shaped tail.
"Zebstrika, use Thunder Wave!" The trainer ordered.
Suicune dodged the Thunder Wave easily, before launching a Hydro Pump move. Zebstrika couldn't dodge in time and the Hydro Pump hit it, Zebstrika fell to the floor in pain. Just as Zebstrika was going to stand up, the Suicune did a Bubblebeam attack, making Zebstrika faint.
The Suicune fleed and the young trainer recalled Zebstrika. Staring at his last opponent, Raikou, he used Simisage. Simisage was like Pansage, but it's hairstyle was a green Mohawk with yellow berries and it had bushy white brows.
The young trainer was so disheartened this time, but hoped that Raikou will give him a chance.
"Simisage, Seed Bomb!" The trainer ordered.
The seeds landed on Raikou, barely making a scratch. Raikou then disappeared and appeared behind Simisage, giving one strong Crunch attack. Simisage fell to the floor and cried out in pain.
The Raikou fleed and the young trainer withdrew Simisage.
The young trainer didn't say anything as the duo returned to the Pokémon Center. In their room, he started packing his stuff.
"Where are you going?" The girl asked.
"Home." He replied without hesitating.
"Why? Wasn't it your dream to be a Pokémon Master?" She questioned.
"It was. I can't even defeat a legendary Pokémon, what good am I?" he said.
"Well, it is a legendary Pokémon, it isn't easy to defeat one. And, you found not just one, not two, but three legendary Pokémon in one day; don't you think that is a big accomplishment? And if you leave, it just shows you aren't determined, and it shows that I shouldn't have even liked you in the first place to follow you out here!" She fought back.
She looked stunned after realizing what she had said.
She didn't say anything and quickly attended to his Pokémon's wounds, acting like she didn't say anything.
The young trainer grabbed her and pulled her to him, connecting their lips together. It wasn't just a peck on the lips, but a long one. None of them knew what happened next, but they were lying naked in bed, cuddling to each other. The young trainer smiled at the psychic and she smiled back.
The young trainer, filled with new hope continued his journey with the psychic. Once the young trainer had defeated the Pokémon league, the psychic realized she was pregnant.
Flashback End
"The baby the psychic was pregnant with is my mummy." The young girl said. "Grandpa died peacefully in his sleep a few months ago and grandma began to heal passing trainers Pokémon, hoping to give new hope in them."
"Lunch is ready!" The grandmother called.
"Great! I'm starving!" The young girl said cheerfully.
Patrick joins the family at the dining table, with his Pokémon sitting next to him. Patrick ate lunch joyously, which was fruit, spicy rice, some vegetables and some chicken.
"I hope this meal is alright, my family doesn't eat too lavishly." The grandmother said.
"It's fine. Thank you." Patrick smiled back and thanked the grandmother.
Snivy and Mienfoo were fighting over their food as they were sharing. Snivy launched a vine whip and used it to hold Mienfoo while Snivy ate, leaving no food left for Mienfoo.
Mienfoo started wailing. Patrick, embarrassed at his Pokémon's behavior, quickly gave Mienfoo some food to stop him from crying.
After lunch, Patrick thanked the family and set out to Castelia City. Just before he left, the mother gave him some money for helping out to prepare lunch.
"It's really okay." Patrick declined.
"Oh. It's no problem at all. It's a small sum and you made my mum and daughter so happy." She said and hands him the money.
Patrick thanked the mother and set out on his journey once more, inspired by the story of the young Pokémon trainer and the young psychic.
