Matt came home from the school play, throwing his keys on the table and he was so glad it was over. Violet had been cute as the fairy in the story and he knew they had all done their best for the play and it was very good, but he was just worn out and tired from shift. He yawned and walked to the bathroom, expecting to find Gabby in bed but the bed was still neatly made and he knew she had not been in there.

Walking around he was looking for her when he opened the bathroom door and found her on the floor, her back against the washer and sobbing and worried he sat down on his knees and pulled her in her arms. He caressed through her hair and tried to calm her down and he kept trying to comfort her, but not knowing what was wrong he had no idea what to do and as the floor was so cold he lifted her up, carried her to the bedroom in his arms and laid her down in the bed, sitting up against the headboard himself and holding her in his arms as he pulled the blanket over her and carefully he rocked her, caressing her and her sobbing slowly became less and less until it stopped and she just sniffed…and finally fell asleep. Then he carefully slipped his phone from his pocket and called Shay, whispering as he didn't want to wake Gabby. She was asleep now and he was glad she calmed from being so upset. Hopefully it was not something bad about the things she had been through before.

But then he heard from Shay what had happened and he hung up the phone, fearing for what was coming their way again.

A little later, Gabby woke up and looked at Matt. He hadn't moved a bit and was exhausted from his shift but he was still holding her the same way, trying to comfort her.

''You must be cold.'' Gabby said worried and she looked up as Matt was sitting against the headboard of their bed, holding her under the blanket while most of his body was bare and he kissed her on her forehead.

''I can sit and hold you like this all day long if it is what makes you feel better.'' Matt whispered and he caressed through her hair again.

''I called Shay and she told me what happened and I am so sorry, I know it can't be easy but I still hope you don't blame yourself because it is not your fault.'' He said compassionate and she looked at him, realizing he was so caring and she hadn't even dared to tell him the truth why she didn't want to go to the school play.

''Matt…it is okay.'' She said then as she didn't want him to get all worried about her again while she felt like she just needed some time to get over this and hoping she wouldn't get nightmares.

''Look, I would do everything for you. I would hold you as long as you needed me to, to make you feel better and I would go to the hospital with you if you want to talk to your doctor or maybe with her parents, to talk about how you feel because I am sure they don't blame you for their daughter's death but you have to say to me what is best for you and how I can help you in all of this, because I am sure we can get through all of this together.'' He said and she looked at him, moved, with tears in her eyes and she nodded.

''I don't really need anything, I just want to sleep right now and I want you to come lay under the blanket as well and sleep because I know you are exhausted as well.'' She said and carefully he slid down under the blanket as well and she laid closer, closer in his arms. He was still caressing her and she closed her eyes, hoping for some sleep without another nightmare because she was not sure if she could take that.

When she woke up again, Matt was still asleep and she got out of bed to finish the laundry she was doing before breaking down and he was following her.

''Just doing the laundry I did not finish.'' She explained and he nodded and helped her folding the laundry.

''I want to talk to Tammy's parents sometime this week. Will you please go with me?'' She asked then and he nodded and hugged her.

''You know that I do everything for you if it will make you feel better and honestly, I also think it is good if the parents talk to you because you knew her well.'' Matt said and she laid her head against his chest. She knew that was one of the most important differences. She always had somebody supporting her and Tammy hadn't somebody to support her. Maybe that was something she should tell the parents, that they should have supported her- no that would be too rude.

Matt looked at her as she was thinking.

''I don't know Matt, I think I could blame them for not caring about their daughter.''

''Well, don't. Have a good talk. It will make you feel better!'' He said then and finally she nodded.

''I love you.'' She said then, laying her head against his chest again because he was always here for her and he could not imagine how they could have broken up the last few months.

''I love you too.''

NOTE: Gabby is struggling a little again but Matt is still backing her up. Will she go to the hospital to have the talk and will she take Matt with her for support? How are the nightmares?

Thank you so much for reading although the chapter was not very long, but I thought it was complete this way and I hope that you liked this chapter and the new storyline. Please leave a review with what you thought and like to see.
