A/N: ... did everyone see the Age of Ultron clips?
Did anyone wonder where Bethany would go, what she would say and what she would do?
And what about the Civil War storyline? Guys, I have so many ideas my head may explode. The fact that I'll be in my mid 20s when Avengers 3 comes out is a little terrifying however.
But umm... I wrote a scene that takes place during Age of Ultron? Yeah... I... did. It's ummm... pretty painful stuff. I'm apologizing in advance. Way in advance.
Chapter 29- Fear and Blame
"As he goes left and you stay right. Between the lines of fear and blame you begin to wonder why you came. Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night had I known how to save a life."
~How to Save a Life, The Fray
Steve rushed to Bethany's makeshift room, Sam and Maria hot on his trail. When he pulled away the curtain, he saw that Bethany was still asleep, but tossing and turning violently in the cot. Steve had never seen her like this. Not even the dreams where Loki tormented her had such an affect as these new ones and that terrified him. Leaning next to her bed, Steve touched her face, brows furrowed with worry as he carefully spoke her name.
She immediately woke up, fear written all over her face until she registered where she was. Steve moved to hold her in his arms, letting her sob violently into his chest. "What happened?" he asked, rubbing her back.
"Just a dream," she panted, clutching onto his back.
"Some dream," Steve said softly, one hand moving into her hair. "Beth, I know you don't like to share, but-"
"No. No it's… It was memories," Bethany said, her breathing evening out. "But instead of people helping me with missions, they would turn around and… betray me. It was like my Loki dreams but instead of me being the bad guy and killing everyone I loved, it was everyone I loved turning around to kill me."
Steve took in a deep breath through his nose, closing his eyes momentarily. He could understand why that would be so terrifying. Especially since it wasn't necessarily far off from the truth. He didn't know who she could trust, who in SHIELD was there for the right reasons, not HYDRA in disguise. "You're okay. Right now, you're safe."
"I know, I just-" she was immediately caught off guard as she let out a surprise groan, a hand instantly moving to her stomach.
Steve recognized a new type of fear in her eyes and immediately turned to tell someone to get a doctor. Maria quickly ran off as Natasha came over. "What's going on?"
"Steve," Bethany panted as he helped her lie down.
"Is it the baby?" Steve asked urgently, pushing her sweater over her bump to reveal the skin. Her stomach looked misshapen and Steve couldn't remember if that's what it looked like earlier or if this was a new development. Bethany let out a little whimper as her entire stomach seemed to convulse lightly before it stilled completely. "Beth?"
She shook her head, lips tightly pressed together as if she didn't want to say what just happened because she was afraid it would become true. Steve put a hand on her stomach, rubbing circles on the bump, hoping it would help in soothing both Bethany and the baby.
"Alright let's see what's going on." Dr. Russo had coming into the room and immediately setting up an ultra sound machine. Despite the fact that Bethany had stopped making sounds, her face still showed something was going on.
Steve moved out of the way, but stayed next to Bethany, holding her hand. He watched as an image of his son was pulled up on the screen and the doctor played around with different options. "Looks like he'll pop out any day," Sam said as he looked at the baby curled into a fetal position and clearly looking like he was running out of room.
"He's due in July," Natasha informed him.
"Ouch," Sam said, earning a pointed look from Bethany.
Finally, Dr. Russo sighed and looked to Steve. "She won't listen to me, so you have to. She can't have all this stress on her. It looks like you just had a contraction. If they keep up, you'll go into early labor. He may be just smaller than an average full term baby, but we don't know how developed his organs are."
"Not to mention he'll be safer in there than out here," Natasha spoke.
"Exactly. Look, you want my expert opinion?"
"Please," Steve begged the doctor.
"This baby will not be full term. Not with his size, not with the situation. But he needs to stay where he is a little bit longer. I can give you something to help, and whether or not your body accepts or rejects it will be a mystery, but the only one who can really help is you."
Steve looked to Bethany who was refusing to meet anyone's gaze. She looked like a guilty little girl, unable to meet her mother's eyes because they were filled with disappointment. "Can we get a moment?" Steve asked the room. It took a few moments for the room to disperse, but when it did, Steve took both of her hands and sat next to her on the bed. "Beth?"
"I'm trying," Bethany cried out, fear laced in her words. "Steve, I'm-"
"I know," he assured her. "I know you wouldn't purposely put him in danger."
"I feel like such a bad mother," She sobbed.
"Hey, stop," Steve tried carefully, pulling out the ultra sound photo in his pocket and placing it in her hands. "You're not a bad mother. You stayed here and waited for me to find you. Everything you've done, you did with the intentions of it helping our son have a good life, okay?"
"I'm scared," she told him, face shining with tears. "Steve, I'm not ready for him to come out. I'm not ready for labor."
"Oh Dollface," Steve said with a sigh, leaning to kiss her forehead. "I don't know what to say to help you. Why don't you try going back to sleep?"
"No," Bethany stated firmly.
"Okay," Steve nodded. "Maybe later. Do you want to hear my plan? Or will that make everything worse?"
"Do you have more than twelve percent of the plan?" Bethany tested, a joking tone making it's way into her voice.
Steve chuckled, leaning down to kiss her softly. "I have one hundred percent of the plan."
"Please tell me that it involves you and me vacationing somewhere far away when this is all done," Bethany pleaded.
Steve's shoulders fell a little at her plea. Going off and fighting now was the hardest decision he ever had to make. Doing what was right always came first for him, but now leaving his family didn't feel like it would be. "Beth, I know it's hard to understand, but please try. I'm not purposely trying to leave you, you know that right?"
She began to trace little stars on her stomach, watching the reactions from within. "I do. It's just… this is all so unfair."
"And that's exactly what the families of Insight's targets will say. Beth, look at me. Please?" He waited a moment until Bethany met his gaze. "I know it's hard. Trust me, I'm fighting this battle of right and wrong too. But we both know that at the end of the day, this is what we need to do. Every doubt is just our fear talking."
"It's just ironic that I'm in the same position," Bethany said, eyes dropping back to her stomach. "I can't do anything but sit by the speakers and hear everything go down. Except this time I'll be alone." Her breathing hitched and tears started to glisten down her face. "I don't want to be alone again, Steve. I don't want to be that person again."
"Hey, hey, stop." He said softly, wiping away her tears. "You won't be alone. You never were alone. Okay? You'll have your family. You'll have our family," he said pressing a palm to her stomach.
"What if this doesn't succeed?" Bethany whispered. "Then I won't. Isn't that Pierce's entire plan?"
"We'll succeed," Steve said without a moments doubt. "And once you hear my plan, I think you'll see that as well." She let out a jagged sigh, wiping away her tears, putting on a brave face. "That's my girl," Steve said with a smile, proud of his wife.
The main reason for her terminating her first pregnancy was because she was afraid of raising the kid alone. Now Steve was putting her back into that position, hoping, praying that she would be strong enough.
Steve had been uneasy leaving Bethany at the hideout while they all went on the mission. And despite the many refusals from Nick and Dr. Russo, he let Bethany join them. She had already promised to stay where Steve wanted her to and he could tell that she was telling the truth.
After dropping Natasha off at the airport, they stopped at the museum to pick up the Captain America costume on display. Bethany sat in the back of the van, surveying the material. "Steve, this isn't-"
"It's not for battle, I know," Steve finished. "It's the only thing I have though."
"He may not remember you," Bethany said suddenly. "They may have wiped him all together. He may not even remember the bridge."
"I still have to try. If it was Howard, we both know you'd do anything," Steve said taking her hand and giving it a quick squeeze. "Everything is going to be fine."
"How do you know that?" Bethany sighed.
"Because I doubt everything has worked out in our favor to only bring us this far. Have some faith in me, Bethany."
She chuckled, shaking her head. "I have faith in you. More faith than I have in anyone else. But it's not you going after Schmidt Steve. This is HYDRA with SHIELD's resources."
"We won't be alone. Okay? Once I make the announcement, I know we'll have some help."
The van pulled to a stop, Maria turning in her seat. "We're here."
Steve nodded, moving to kiss Bethany's forehead. "Let's get this over with. Then we find a house, raise our kid and live happily ever after."
A watery smile was earned, Bethany giving a small nod. "That sounds perfect."
Helping her climb out of the van, Maria handed Bethany an earpiece. "Just so you aren't lost completely," Maria offered her as they started up to a clearing. Bethany nodded, placing it in her ear as she looked at the Triskelion in the distance.
"You'll be fine here?" Steve asked as they made their way to a big tree.
Bethany leaned against it, fighting her shivers. "Yeah," she whispered, not taking her eyes off the Triskelion. Just seeing it was bringing back a million memories. She really wanted to believe that the friends she made, the ones she actually cared about weren't HYDRA members, but there was a chance she'd never know for sure.
She wondered what they were all doing. Wondering what was going on with Coulson, with Sharon, with Clint. She had no idea where any of them were, or if she could trust them. She wanted to believe that she could simply because they were like family to her, but she knew just how deep agents could get undercover. How they were going to separate the good from the bad when the entire thing was over, she didn't know.
One thing was for sure, this would change everything. They were taking down SHIELD, showing the world what really happens on a daily basis and along with all those changes, what little bit of trust she gave strangers no longer existed. How Steve was able to trust Sam, she would never understand, but she knew that she and her husband were two very different people when it came to trust. Despite it all, despite the fact that she wanted out of SHIELD, she knew that not everyone was at the Triskelion. That a lot of SHIELD agents wouldn't just let the cause die. And she was okay with that, as long as they let her live her life.
"Just… just stay here. Okay?" Steve asked, stepping in front of her, hands on her shoulders. "Don't do it for me. Don't do it for you. Do it for him."
One of his gloved hands made it's way to her stomach. "I know," she nodded, gathering all the strength she had, but she couldn't get her mind off the suit. "The original was better," she supplied, a hand on his chest, right over the star.
"You're just saying that because you spent more time mending it than you did anything else," Steve said softly, a small smirk grazing his face.
"I can think of something I did with it a little bit more," Bethany responded, a hint of mischief in her eyes.
"I love you," Steve said seriously.
"I know. But more importantly; I love you," she offered, a hand snaking up his neck. "I didn't say it last time. This time, don't forget."
"I won't," Steve whispered, and she could see that struggle he was talking about earlier in his eyes. "It's breaking my heart leaving you, I need you to know that."
"Go," Bethany whispered back. "Go now before you change your mind."
They said nothing else, Steve kissing her forehead softly and pulling her in for a tight hug before turning and walking away. Bethany watched as he didn't look back, almost like if he did, he would run back to her and never leave her again. Bethany tried to steady her breath but couldn't keep her emotions at bay.
This time, she wouldn't blame it on the hormones. She didn't care if this was a sign of weakness. Walking away from her was one of the only people who ever really loved her, who forgave her for all her mistakes and actually wanted to spend his life with. His heart was still beating, but she felt like she lost him all over again. Without even thinking, she started to do something she hadn't done in a long time. She started to pray.
"God," she let out, her voice cracking as her tears became a steady stream. "I know I've screwed up. I know I'm selfish and spoiled. But Steve isn't any of that. And I might be asking you to watch over him so I don't lose him, but I'll never forgive myself if he doesn't meet his son. Just…"
She trailed off, realizing how stupid she sounded. She had given up religion long ago and any hopes that the Big Guy was listening to her was slim to none. But she had to believe that there was a bigger plan for Steve than just this.
Sharon took a deep breath as she took out her cell phone, half expecting a message from Bethany. Of course, there was nothing. It didn't really surprise her considering her husband was a fugitive, but it was weird to associate anything SHIELD related without the agent being involved. Ever since her very first day, Bethany had been there. Popping into classes on occasion to give people a real idea of what they'd be facing. It was blunt and slightly scarring, but accurate. No one could've prepared her better than Bethany. Not even Peggy.
Pushing her phone back into her pocket, she thought about her latest phone call with her aunt. Ironically, it had been about Steve and him returning. Being alive through all those years. It wasn't the first phone call like that she'd received. They were almost expected now, but it broke her heart every single time. Nothing was more painful than visiting one of her idols and having her forget everything within a quick snap of fingers.
But she knew the person Peggy's memory lapses hurt the most was Bethany. She rarely said anything, but Sharon could always see it in her eyes.
"You okay?" Sharon asked, watching as Bethany sat on a chair outside of Peggy's room.
"Yeah," the blond said with a sigh, a hand roaming her stomach. "I just… I had to explain everything to her again. But the last thing she remembered… the last thing…"
Sharon watched as Bethany struggled to get out the words. "You don't have to tell me," she assured her friend.
"She told me I didn't deserve this," Bethany rushed to explain, holding back tears. "That I had betrayed Steve once and that I would again."
"That… that doesn't sound like Aunt Peggy," Sharon said softly. Her aunt had only spoken about Bethany with the highest of praises over the years. Never once had there been anything close to this. Slight jealous at Bethany's lack of aging, but always stating that she wouldn't give her life up for anything.
"I think this is the farthest back she's gone," Bethany said with a sigh. "I… I made mistakes. We all do, but mine weren't the typical ones. She and I weren't on speaking terms for a few months. After Steve went missing, we reconnected, but those months when she was mad at me… they were bad, Sharon."
"Maybe if you got Steve to come? To explain everything? I mean, I'm assuming she thinks it's 1945?"
"Yeah," Bethany said, wiping her nose. "I don't even know if she knows about Steve's crash. In the middle of talking about baby names, she forgot everything. This, this is more painful than someone dying because she's in my grasps but she's not actually there."
Sharon closed her eyes, pushing back the emotions. Today was a very important day and she couldn't let something as simple as feelings get in the way of everything. She had her orders, a duty to follow and she would, like every other day, get the job done. Just like her aunt had done all those years ago. Nothing made her feel closer to the fading Peggy like working for SHIELD.
Looking up at the giant screen, she could see Steve's ID photo still present. She thought it was ridiculous for many reasons. One being that everyone knew what he looked like. The photo was just a waste of space. Two, she refused to believe he did anything wrong. Stories from Peggy, stories from Bethany and just living next to Steve was evidence enough. The man had faults, but none like this. If he was hiding information about Director Fury's death, he was doing it for a reason.
"Attention all SHIELD agents," a voice rang clear from the speakers, catching everyone's attention. "This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down."
Sharon straightened her back at the sound of his voice. She felt it eerie that she had just been thinking about him, but it was almost like fate. All day she felt like something was off, and Steve's disappearance had been everyone's number one priority. The SHIELD she knew wouldn't have prioritized that, no matter what.
"But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was," Steve continued. As Sharon surveyed the room, she could instantly tell that some people were uneasy while others were curious. Something big was going on. "It has been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader."
Sharon could feel bile raising in her throat, as well an undying anger. She felt herself tense up as she continued to look around the room. "The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you." Everyone surveyed their neighbour, but Sharon was already on red alert. She wondered how many people suspected her. She hoped her name would be enough for people to trust her and not get in her way as she took every single HYDRA member down.
"They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. They must be stopped. I know I'm asking a lot," Steve preached, both strength and desperation in his voice. Sharon wondered who was on that list of people HYDRA wanted dead. She assumed he was on it. Probably all of the Avengers.
Her head snapped quickly at her neighbour as he made a movement, but she rested back slightly as he just leaned back in his chair, posing no threat. "The price of freedom is high; it always has been. But it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not."
The announcement was over and everyone stilled, not knowing what to do next. His words echoed in her head. Of course he knew the price of freedom. He had paid it time and time again with his sacrifice and life. All those other times he had marched into battle with the objective being to keep the world free and safe. But this time, he was asking for help. And Sharon knew that even if she had to pay the ultimate price, she would do it willingly.
He shot one bullet. Two. The man didn't stop. He just kept moving as if it didn't phase him. Three. This one made contact. Good contact. He watched as the star-spangled man fell down. But as stubborn and annoying this man was proving to be, he pulled himself up and finished his job. Cracking his neck, he tried to decide what to do next. He knew what his mission was. It was simple. He was sent there to kill the man. But it was proving to be the hardest thing he ever had to do. No one ever matched his strength, his speed, his skill.
At least, he didn't think so. He couldn't really remember. All he knew was that he had to follow orders. That he was a super soldier for HYDRA. But he couldn't remember anything specific. He frowned for a moment, searching for his name and realizing he didn't have one. A moment of panic flooded through him before he was caught off guard with a heavy beam falling on him. He let out an agonized scream as he realized he was trapped.
He twisted, trying to get free, his eyes widening as the man moved down to him, hobbling. Worry filled every inch of his body, not knowing what the man was going to do next. He knew one thing though, he was the enemy. He wouldn't be gracious. The fear of death was something that felt familiar but once again, no specific memories were floating to the surface.
But then, something he wasn't expecting happened. The man started to lift the beam, actually helping him. Moving free, he looked at the man. "You know me," he said to him as they both stood up.
"No I don't!" He yelled back, giving him a hard push as they both fell over again. He didn't know why he was so adamant on this, but he suddenly had a fear of remembering something. Anything. Because remembering would mean finding out why he couldn't remember and that scared him more than not knowing.
"Bucky," he panted as they both got up. "You've known me your whole life." He retaliated with another hard slap. Bucky, he thought, the name ringing something true. Familiar. "Your name is James Buchanan Barnes," the man pressed on.
"SHUT UP!" He yelled, feeling memories starting to leak through, but of them all being related to pain. To falling. To forgetting.
The man pulled his helmet off, struggling to stand up straight. "I'm not gonna fight you," the man announced, dropping his shield, it falling through the broken cracks of the helicarrier and into the water which was slowly getting closer. "You're my friend."
Anger built quickly within him as he tackled him, revealing to him that he was his mission. "You're! My! Mission!" He repeated, punching his face, watching as it immediately began to swell and discolour. But his words were more of a confirmation for himself than for the star-spangled man. He needed the memories to stop. He felt ghost pains where his metal arm connected to his flesh, zapping on his temples and shivers capturing his entire body.
"Then finish it," the man's words slipped out as he battled with consciousness. "'Cause I'm with ya til the end of the line."
He stilled completely, his words stirring a different memory within. A happy memory. He could see this man, but smaller, standing in front of him smiling. He saw him, bloodied and bruised, but still his smaller form, in an alleyway. He saw him covered in art supplies, scribbling away with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
As the floor gave out, he took hold of a hanging beam, watching as the man feel into the water. He stayed where he was, replaying what just happened. It was like the first real truth anyone had told him recently. Because as much as everything the man had said scared him, he could see a glimmer of who he used to be.
Watching him fall collected a feeling of uneasiness. He felt like they had been in this position before, only it wasn't the man falling. It was him. And before he could properly register what he was doing, he let go of the beam and fell into the abyss of water and debris.
Bethany could hear her heartbeat in her ears. It pulsed with a passion, heightening every single sense. The fact that she was in this position once again, feeling more helpless and knowing that she could help, but that in all actuality she shouldn't. More importantly, she couldn't believe he was sacrificing himself again. As if it was nothing, the easiest decision he could ever make and continually would; falling into a debris filled body of water, not caring about life or death, only about what was right.
But this isn't right, Bethany thought, her hand clutched to her throat. Her mouth was dry and there was a lump in her throat. She felt sick, overwhelmed with emotions. Everything was too much. A time where she should be happy leaving her in despair and heartbreak. But what sickened her the most was he was doing this when he had so much more to live for.
She clutched the tree beside her, using it to support her weight. She wanted to fall to the ground, to break down and cry but she knew that wouldn't solve anything. All she could do was stand there, waiting, hoping that he would somehow make it. He had proved the impossible before. Bethany took a deep breath in, letting it out slowly. If he thought this was right, then I can't argue. We can't argue, she thought as her hand cradled her stomach.
All of the promises seemed to be crushed under the weight of lies and deception from a force much bigger than their love. Old enemies, new foes. They all wanted one thing, which was wrong, but once upon a time, she might have believed it to be right. Having people she believed were friends whispering things into her ears only to be HYDRA in disguise. The thought alone made her want to retch. She had trusted so many of them and all they did was betray her.
The smoke coming from the Triskelion filled the sky, the once blue colour disappearing into a grey fog. All of it was gone. Everything she had worked for, believed in. She had dedicated her life to SHIELD and it was nothing more than a mask. And Howard… he knew. He knew and he paid the cost for it. Just like Steve was for fighting them again.
Bethany squinted, seeing two figures moving to shore. Remembering what Steve told her, to stay hidden and to stay safe if not for his sake, then their child's, she backed up behind the tree, trying to achieve all the cover she could. Curiosity was keeping her from running away. As the figures got closer, she was convinced she was dreaming. And maybe this all was a dream. Maybe she'd wake up and be in bed, Steve bringing her eggs and toast.
No, not eggs, she thought as just imagining them made her feel sick. She blinked twice, feeling her heart soar as her eyes didn't betray her. While the image wasn't promising, there was still hope. It was Steve, unconsciously being dragged through the water by the leather clad soldier. Bethany didn't know what happened while on the hellicarrier, but she knew this man wasn't Bucky. There was something in the set of his jaw that screamed confusion. As if he knew what he was doing, knew it was against orders, but knew in his heart that it was right. Steve had saved him, it was his turn to save Steve.
He pulled Steve all the way to shore, Bethany never able to tear her gaze away from him. Everything about Bucky that she lost was gone, as if he really did died. He was replaced by something else, turned into the very thing he was fighting to destroy all those years ago. But as he looked down at Steve, Bethany could sense a small change. It was just a flash, but it was there.
His eyes, stone cold but a hint of recognition shifted up to Bethany. She didn't even try to hide, to deny that he saw her. They held each other's gaze for a second, her entire face softening in that quick moment. He said nothing, but Bethany couldn't help but wonder if that was a good thing or not. Either way, she was scared. Terrified. To be killed was one thing, but by someone she once trusted in was another. He made no move to her, almost as innocent as a fly.
Bethany's entire body jolted when he opened his mouth, the words 'take care of him' slipping through his lips. His tone was hoarse and jagged. Filled with pain and loss. But it was Bucky's. She took half a step forward, wanting to say something, anything, but unable to find the right words. His actions didn't mean that he was back. And as he turned to walk away, Bethany knew that she was right. He wasn't back to normal, but he was on his way.
"Steve?" Bethany whispered, moving towards him. She could see blood splotches covering his uniform and his face had multiple cuts, his eye swollen and discolored. She could feel her whole body shaking as she leaned in. His breath met her ear and she began to cry thankfully.
"Hill? I have Steve," Bethany said through the comm. It was the first time she had said anything, the entire time keeping quiet. She had heard Steve's speech, had heard him even telling Maria to forget about him and eliminate the helicarriers. The entire time she kept quiet, just like she had before.
"Where are you?" Maria's voice echoed back.
"I haven't moved," Bethany responded, quickly moving to undo Steve's uniform to assess his wounds. If she couldn't go all hell's a blazing fighting, she could at least do this. "We need an ambulance."
"Copy that," Maria responded instantly.
"Bucky," Steve let out, but his eyes remained closed.
"Shhh," Bethany assured, caressing his face lightly. "It's okay, Steve. You're… you're safe now. You did it."
She got no response but as Bethany took off the suit, she realized why and was glad he was unconscious. His entire body was bloody and bruised. Just feeling the sides of his ribs, she could feel that two were broken. His eye was swollen shut, the cut at his lip deep enough to need stitches and more bullet holes than Bethany wanted to count.
She swallowed her fear back, not letting her emotions get the best of her. Not now, not when Steve actually needed her.
A/N: Nearing the end of Winter Soldier plot! Again, this chapter, like the bridge chapter, was hard for me to write, because those scenes are basically fight scenes and why write out word-for-word what happens when you can just watch it?
FeliciaFelicis: It KILLED my feels. As for hints; one plotline revolves around Bucky and one around Theo. They don't touch each other though. I haven't decided exactly when Bethany will have the baby, but I'm leaning towards the chapter that will be posted on Christmas. Although I'm currently writing chapter 36 and she's still pregnant. I assumed I would've written in during chapter 35, but I got new ideas and I want to write them.
EdwardCullenfan2009: Every Thursday :)
Loveless Wings: I honestly was unaware that it was so suspenseful :P Apart from the cliff hanger, that wasn't my intention at all! And I felt it had been a while since there was a smut scene so I thought "what the hell". I know if I was married to Steve, I would be banging him every chance I got.
sailorraven34: I'm not a fan of cliffhangers either, but at least you know it's only a week wait, just like a television show! My nanny used to call me Dolly, so whenever someone calls me "doll" or "dollface", it always brings a smile to my face. And yes, that's exactly where he picked it up. He'll learn her name soon, as well as Steve's! It's coming face to face with his own name that'll bring problems.
Jo: Oh no! I have my phone on me almost 24/7 so I can imagine the panic!
MissAnimeMiss: Every Thursday :) You have my word on that!
