"He does not," I argued, taking a step back.

"He does," Edward spoke in a serious voice.

I eyed him questionably; there was no way Edward was telling the truth. Jasper and I had broken up over a month ago. "Why? Has he said anything?"

"No, but –"

I cut him off. "Then you have no reason to say, or even think, that. Jasper and I are done."

"Are you sure? He loved you before. He fell in love with you a long time ago – just about the same time that I did," he admitted, staring right into my eyes.

My heart fluttered a little as I remembered my conversation with Jasper.

"Can I ask you something? About Maria?"

"Sure."

"Am I the same thing for you? Are you with me because Jasper wants to be with me?" I asked him, desperately hoping I was wrong.

"What?" The shock washed over his face. "Why would you think that?"

"Because it's just weird how you end up loving the same girl over again." I pointed out immediately, hating myself for even thinking like that. I knew that Edward really loved me because he tried so hard to make me feel safe around him and to earn my trust.

"We can't help who we love, Bella. Yes, I loved Maria, so did Jasper. Yes, I slept with her knowing that he was with her, and that was a really stupid thing to do, but I was just a stupid boy. I fell in love with you not knowing that Jasper did, too. I only found out long after – when James told me."

He took in a deep breath before wrapping his hands around my waist, pulling me closer.

"I love you, Bella, and that has nothing to do with the fact that Jasper loves you, too. I love you because you are you." he spoke, looking into my eyes and making my heart go faster with each passing second.

"I love you, too, Edward Cullen." I finally smiled and leaned in to kiss him.

"And now that I'm in love with you, I know that my feelings for Maria were a totally different thing; it wasn't love. With you, what I feel is love . . . Real, true and pure love." he said after breaking our kiss. "I'm madly in love with you, Bella." I smiled at him, officially the happiest girl in the whole world.

"I'm glad we are finally together." He kissed my lips with a smile.

"So, I heard that my car is yours now."

I chuckled at his words. "I couldn't come up with anything else." I admitted.

"I really love my car, you know. I'm hoping to buy it back, maybe?"

"Sure, we can arrange that." I responded and kissed him after that, realizing that soon we would have to go back to class, and I wouldn't be able to kiss him for another three hours today.

"Dad?" I was shocked at seeing my dad home when I got there.

"'Hey, Bells. Come here, let me hug you." he spoke, holding out his hands.

I eyed him suspiciously before I walked over and gave him a hug. "So what brings you here?" I asked, letting go.

Dad gave me a smile before speaking. "What? I live here." he chuckled and so did I, knowing that he visited here not lived.

"Right, for like two days a month?"

"That's not true, Bells. I'm home more often than that. It's not my fault you're always hanging out with Rosalie. By the way, how is she?" Dad asked, making his way to the kitchen with me following him.

"Great," I answered and jumped on the counter while watching him pour two cups of coffee.

"That's good. And how are you?" he asked, after sliding one cup towards me.

"I'm amazing, Dad." I said truthfully.

Dad raised his eyebrows and then smiled. "Is this about a boy?" he teased.

"Maybe," I felt my cheeks burning as I dropped my eyes on the cup in front of me.

"Well, tell me – who is he?" Dad urged me to speak.

"Edward." I bit my lip before speaking again. "Cullen."

"Cullen, huh?" Dad seemed surprised, and I got scared that maybe he wasn't happy about this. "I know his dad; great doctor. And I've never heard anything bad about the boy, so I'm thinking he's a good kid?"

"He's great, Dad. I'm actually seeing him later today. Do you want to meet him?"

"You're offering to meet with your boyfriend? He must be special, since I've remember how you hid Jacob from me."

"He is, Dad. He really is." I said with a smile on my face. "So, what brings you home anyway?" I asked, taking a sip.

"I got few free days and wanted to spend them here with you. I miss you, Bells." he admitted.

"I miss you, too, Dad."

"What do you say about dinner later?"

"That sounds great, I will think of something I could make."

"No, it's my treat today. I'm making dinner. You go out and hang out with your friends while I try to do my best – okay, kiddo?

"I'm outside your house." Edward informed me when I picked up the phone.

"Great. My dad's here."

"Does that mean we can't hang out?"

"No, that means you are coming in to say hi, dad really wants to meet you." I said happily.

"Are you sure? You should've told me earlier; I would have grabbed something before coming." he said in a worried tone.

"Don't worry; you just have to say hi." I said and hung up, before running downstairs to open the front door for Edward.

"Dad, he's here!" I yelled after kissing Edward briefly on the lips.

Dad quickly came downstairs and I felt Edward beginning to get nervous.

"Dad, this is Edward." I introduced them.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr Swan." Edward said, shaking my father's hand.

"Please, call me Charlie." Dad told him and letting go of his hand. "So I see that you have made Bella here, very happy." My dad spoke, making me blush.

"I'm trying. She deserves nothing less." Edward's words made my heart go faster.

"Well, I'm glad you think that, Edward." Dad smiled at him and then looked at me. "Okay, kids, go have fun; see you at dinner, Bella." With that, my dad disappeared into the kitchen.

"Your dad is great." Edward spoke once we were in his car.

"He is."

"So, where to, my lady?"

"I don't know; let's waste gas and drive around."

"Sounds good, but if I'm driving around, I can't kiss you." he said in the sweetest voice.

Moments later, we were at Edward's place, sitting on his bed and looking through DVDs.

"What should we watch?" he asked, flipping through DVDs.

"Nothing romantic, you know I hate those kind of movies."

"I know, what about Rocky?"

"What about my kissing you?" I asked, leaning in and pressing my lips to his.

"I like that," he spoke between kisses and wrapped his hands around my waist, pulling me on his lap.

"You taste so sweet."

"You taste pretty good yourself." I responded.

"So this means we are not watching a movie?" he asked, flipping me on my back and laying over me, resting his body on his forearms.

"No. I've waited too long for this. I've waited too long for you." I said, pulling his face down and pressing my lips to his.
