AN: Dedicated to Bookworm Gal.

If anyone were to follow this student as she made her way from Casper High, they would have been mightily surprised by her lift. Bobbing her head to some hidden beat, she habitually took a winding path through well-hidden alleys and turns. There she found her lift.
No friend with a run-down car, no boyfriend with a motorbike, no mom waiting in a minivan, no dad impatient to get a head start on traffic.
Just about everyone would have laughed at these suggestions.
Not a lot of friends willing to give her a lift.
No boy had caught her eye.
No-one really knew anything about her mother, save that she was never mentioned.
Her dad was running himself ragged at the Axton labs.
"So," they would be left wondering, "who, or what, would pick her up?"
An honest-to-god limo. And one with a very special passenger. One who took pains to ensure their little rendezvous was not noticed by any … curious bystanders.
"I trust you were not followed?"
The girl smirked. "Have I been ever?"
"There's always the first time. Report."
She sighed, before sprawling backwards on the extensive leather seat. She closed her eyes and let her head fall on the headrest. With her eyes closed and her head still tilted backwards, she started talking. "Yeah. We have a real tempest in a teacup here. Someone's on to him… I'm sure of it."
Vlad stilled, poker-face coming into play. His voice was flat, save for the barest tremor that betrayed some feeling. "Who?"
The girl abruptly sat up straight. She then leaned forward staring intently, with suddenly red eyes. Her face seemed to melt, before reshaping into a new form. Black hair turned blonde. Chocolate skin faded to a faded tan. Green eyes bled into blue.
"This one. Called Star, as far as I know. Don't know much else, save that she seems to be paying the brat a smidgen too much attention these days. Might be prudent to get eyes on her."
The girl-who-was-not-Star shrugged. "Course, that's just my own opinion. I'm sure you know this." It smirked, before dropping the charade completely, free to bare its nature in front a fellow actor.
Most colour bled out, leaving only a bleached simulacrum of a human. An off-white oval, interrupted only by glasses with shining red lenses, loamed over a black trench coat. A red tie and a bone-white shirt polished off the outfit.
Amorpho looked at Vlad. "New orders?"
Vlad didn't reply for a while, seemingly lost in thought. "No. Not just yet. Keep filling in for the girl. I'll get someone to keep a watch on this 'Star'."
I wonder how far I can push this without Daniel trying to drag me down along with him…
No-one noticed Valerie Gray being dropped off a couple of block away from her house.
Whistling, she made her way back to her house, for all appearance thinking about nothing more than homework, friends and relationships.
AN: so yeah, Bookworm Gal wanted something with a lesser-used ghost. And I wanted to bring Amorpho in somewhere, since he's mostly just neglected by canon and fanon both (even though I should be studying *sighs*).
So… what happened to Valerie? What will happen to Star? How does this affect the Discoveries-arc?
… My lips are sealed.
Read, enjoy and review (been a while since I signed off with that, huh?)
PS – And yes, I'm still doing reward chapters. Next one should be one, barring any REALLY weird circumstances.
PPS – As previously mentioned, the poll has become public, so the results are visible at all times. I'm also gonna set a deadline for that poll in the next chapter, after which I'm gonna close it down completely.
PPPS – SOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to a hundred reviews… Tell you what… the 100 signed review (sorry Guests) gets a say in the next chapter (read: can choose between 3 chapters ideas), even people who have received a proper reward-chapter before. Since there is a lag on showing the amount of reviews for a story as new ones are posted, don't be angry if you think you are, but I don't send you a PM. Happy reviewing…
Also, I'm a review-whore. I acknowledge it :p
