Ah! I remember when we were madly in love, back then no one could ever tear us apart until we drifted naturally away from each other but not too far or for too long.

A time that I often recall was when we were college students analyzing medicine, being thrilled with all of its wonders that could either save or end an existence.

Back then you told me the words ''I love you'' they meant the world, so I devoured every speck of sin that I knew was coming my way.

We proposed to run away after receiving one huge workload, we would go to Paris and we did in the middle of our first term. Our mothers were breathing down our necks and wondering what was going through our feeble little heads. Exactly wherever you were going I was destined not to be very far...I adore you that's why.

Oh, I recollect presently, You loved your mother to death but then you casually killed her and spent only a day in prison courtesy of your precious father.

I remember my mother said not to connect with you ever again. ''He'll bring nothing but destruction to your life...You will love again someday.''

That lady birthed me and cared deeply for me but to me, she was worthless to me than even a penny, she was worth less than you...only you I coveted.

And to her I promised I wouldn't, but how could I stop my heart from beating let alone throbbing? I entered the hospital as less than a doctor something I promised to be only if you did it with me, but I liked taking calls and seeing people come and go. So I supposed I'd stay that way for a while till you tell me otherwise.

I remember when I first saw you all over again, it was like all that love that laid dormant in my being rushed back to me and revived my tingling fingertips.

''You got to do it if I get caught,'' I remember you telling me that you couldn't stop killing that it was too delicious a feeling to give up. I wanted a bite of what my lover was tasting so I bit off a huge bite and my, my... it really was a pleasure.

''Kill me if I get caught.'' you held me close as we reclined. ''I don't want to die by an innocent,'' I remember! I love you and I'll wildly follow you to my own destruction because isn't that what lovers do? If I take your life now won't it give me a feeling that will last till my ending breaths? Won't I take you with me?

To me My dear mother is an array of roses swaying gently in a meadow's breeze while my father is surely the sun in the early morning.

One month later.

Lucy celebrated the start of her 21st birthday by her mother's grave digging the fertile soil. Her hands were painted with earth when she finally laid a tiny flowering shrub at the head of the precious grave.

''I'm finally here and I brought a present for you.'' Lucy knew that her mother couldn't hear her but she still talked to her as she watered the new plant. ''It's thornless like you,'' she said plopping down heavily in body and soul by the gravestone which told of who her mother once was. ''I'm sorry I took so long to visit you.''

Lucy sat with her mother's pinkish bush for 20 minutes before getting up again to visit someone else. ''Theodore Seam.'' the profaned grave still managed to read.

There was graffiti everywhere and his headstone was broken except his name. 'A hero' was crossed out by a possible blade. Theodore's grave was a huge mess compared to even the most forgotten of graves in the area thanks to the spiteful families of the 'Seam victims'.

Lucy backed up and tilted her head to read the black words that were spray painted onto the dying grass over his individual grave. ''Killers raise each other,'' it said speaking on Crawford's crimes finally appearing to light and Theodore's police station being invaded by Elfman's unit.

Lucy looked to the right side at a flowered grave that held a bottle of white flowers which held a tag, looking closer at the tag it read. ''I'm so sorry.'' probably because she was a sweet lady that Mrs. Marion Seam was and because she was the first victim of the 'Cocktail killer.' Perhaps the one who placed those flowers felt pity toward the mother who was taken away by her own beloved heart and family.

Light falls especially for all of us but some of us stop to pick up tranquility and other calms along our way, Dear all are upon our hearts...

Grief is nothing but a prison house, it gets the better of even the strongest of us and folds our battered and worn wings for a while.

In my memory glass shatters often, a sweet-hearted woman cries out one more time only before then silence rains.

''What have you done boy?!'' a never forgotten voice sounds, then suddenly it sighs and silence. ''You'll be repaying for that right there until the day 'they' take you from this world.''

The question I often argued as I lived my life until my old age was, who were 'they' and which 'they' were going to end my misery? I know the definite answer to that now as I lay asleep dreaming vividly of haunting images. ''You'll pay the prices without a doubt so make sure you go on till the end.''

I awaken from my sleep with a spring, again in a confined area alone because no individual wanted to room with the notorious, blood-soaked murderer. I didn't care regardless because I would've killed my cellmate anyway, but silence could drive you into the deep end no matter who you were.

I drift off to sleep again a little later before I am confronted by a different but still bitterly biting dream.

I am in the kitchen of my old childhood house standing over the bloodied and broken glass, no one is with me for a while until a large shadow runs past covering the window for a swift second. I look out the oval window behind me and presently I am there at my first crime's scene. ''Didn't you always require every victim to go away?'' my precious father asks me. ''Why didn't you take care of Lucy Heartfilia?'' and I cannot offer a reply so I simply turn away from him ashamed with myself.

Then another dream worst than the last begins to play in my rattled mind, I've just been put to death by lethal injection and put to rest eternally in my translucent coffin, I see her... my last victim's smiling face looking down at me as I am being lowered to a beginning doom. ''Goodbye Crawford,'' she says raising to shovel down dirt atop my face.

I awake again, this time rolling over to tap on my left-facing cell door. ''Yes?'' one of my two comrades on the other side of captivity answer me. ''I have to get her today,'' I tell them to get the keys for my cuffs.

Today the court will reach their concluding verdict and that will be my last chance to take that Heartfilia's life and only then can I rest in whatever the grave will offer me with a mind filled with satisfaction.

The freaks inside of your head rear their dirty heads and grin your way, ''We're craving,'' they sing. ''But you always serve us don't you?''

Though leaves cover the heavens and blot out the day for the forest animals, the blessed sun always finds a way to take apart the cold for a new day.

Lucy crept around the kitchen trying hard not to clatter together any pots or pans, not to drop any knives or forks that would send either her father or Plue running to investigate.

She stood washing the earth from her fingernails by the sink. Lucy did her very best to open the window as quietly as she could before she remembered her father's hearing was not as delicate as Natsu's and that Jude could probably sleep through a complete robbery.

Lucy pulled the creaky windowpane open and set off the puppy instead. 'shoot!' she seized the provoked pup and gave him a dental bone. ''You like chicken now, don't you?'' she asked him when he settled down.

Lucy could have sworn he shot her a weird look before taking the flavored snack to his bed to rest where he would be destroying it later.

Lucy watched the naturally shivering puppy until he fell asleep before washing her hands thoroughly and continuing her initial morning mission. In no time at all, she placed breakfast on the table, hard boiled eggs, biscuits, and a bowl of berries.

Lucy whirled around to look at the time, she was to be in court in an hour so she quickly grabbed her sticky notes and wrote down ''Good morning! I'll be out for a few hours.'' and then ''I'm sorry but I need to go alone, pardon me this once.''

She was not planning on taking her father to court with her because he was likely to get emotional and possibly attack the criminals, she would like to do the same but she sort of inherited mainly her mother's poised nature.

Jude would probably be upset but she needed to go and see through to the end of the trial. Lucy ran up the stairs as softly as she could and dressed in a black tank top underneath a pink long-sleeved maxi dress, after pulling herself into red pants Lucy admired herself as she did her hair up nicely totally ignoring a huge stress zit.

She grabbed her large white purse and stashed some medical products inside, it always made her feel relaxed to have any products just in case.

'Here we go!' she sighed looking at her door and praying that her father was still sleeping soundly.

Lucy tossed her lip gloss in her bag and bolted out the door before her father could get into his 31st dream. Lucy snacked on cereal bars and water before hopping into her car and leaving the vicinity.

A gentle word is a comforter to my heart yet I cannot find it but with the simple and free folk who ride upon the wind drifting seaward.

Lucy pulled up outside the court office more nervous than when she was waiting to receive a reply to her résumé. ''I have nothing to worry about,'' she advised. Lucy smiled at herself in the mirror and already she felt a bit calmer and happier.

She stepped out of her car and placing her purse on the hood of her car she searched for her phone. ''Ms. Heartfilia, you're early.'' A journalist called snapping a picture of her when Lucy turned toward her speech.

''You got me this time.'' Lucy laughed grabbing her phone. ''But you look so pretty today,'' the journalist Rosetta replied snapping another photo. ''Thank you, I decided I would go in there and own this.'' Lucy made sure her car was locked and began walking firmly toward her destination.

Virgo was texting her. ''Some of your buddies are here so you should get here early.'' Lucy stopped and sanitized her hands after opening the door because some idiot left something mysterious on the handle.

'Some people! but what could you do? You just gotta keep smiling.' Lucy's own advice rang in her head and blocked her from fussing.

Where do you go run and hide when the very people you trusted turn into demons right before your baffled and searching eyes?

'Where are you?' Lucy walked into the courtroom while reading Virgo's text. ''Here,'' she whispered rushing over. ''Today's the last day?'' ''Yep there isn't a reason to lengthen this case, it has been gutted and solved.'' Virgo pulled out their chairs and took her own.

''Happy birthday Lucy!'' Lucy turned around to find the loving voice, It was Juvia's and she was sitting in attendance. ''Thank you Juvia!'' she laughed seeing her friends begin to walk in one by one taking up most of the filling gallery. ''Gray isn't here?'' Lucy asked teasingly. ''Nope, he had to study for a makeup exam.''

''Makeup exam? Naughty boy better not let me catch him failing!'' Lucy piped, in the same manner, Natsu would've if he found out.

Juvia laughed. ''It was just one exam and he has been so busy lately but I bet he'll ace it.''

Evergreen waved her hands hastily before taking her own seat next to Juvia and Makarov.

Lucy giggled a little, ''You sure Elfman won't yell at you?'' she asked Evergreen who was in her full uniform like she took time off just for this occasion. Evergreen replied with a flying kiss. ''You look so pretty today.'' Lucy was wearing a pink maxi dress that had red roses on the sleeves. You could see if you strained your eyes, her black tank underneath but she didn't know that.

She had her hair in a French braid high bun and her golden bangs were brushed to the side covering a stress zit, her lips wore a light shade of glossy pink but the most beautiful thing of all was her genuine smile. Lucy placed her large white purse on the table and just inhaled bringing back her surroundings and the purpose of being here.

Aries greeted from beside Loke who held a giant TV camera, he was busy scanning the room and they were the only two reporters who were cordial enough to be permitted inside on Aquarius's strict terms. ''You do look lovely this morning.''

Shortly afterward, different court doors opened loudly and Crawford was led in by two officers, he was ranked as a dangerous and cunning criminal which is why he was escorted wherever he went and was always wearing shackles under a black fabric. Kyoka came in shortly after him souring the mood with her mad smirk, Lucy looked away from Kyoka kind of horrified by her eyes.

Crawford controlled himself from lunging at Lucy when he saw her turn her face away from him. 'You don't get to heal,' he thought lifting his menacing eyes away from her and to take a seat with the help of his two guards. 'I know you'll continue to ridicule me even after I am gone if you breathe,'

Crawford's two outside cops were police officers who previously belonged to Theodore's service but they transferred years before Elfman's sting plan took place.

They each took a position near Kyoka and Crawford to seemingly 'control' them if either tried anything but really they were there to unlock the shackles when the courtroom was distracted. A short breath was all that was needed.

''All rise!'' The bailiff called closing the door after Aquarius strolled in, she took the bench with the same sort of confidence that she always did and Lucy respected her for that. Lucy exhaled lightly staring forward and listening to the bailiff talking.

''Good Morning, I hope everyone is feeling well,'' Aquarius said tapping her files in an arranging manner on her thick wooden desk.

''What has he been doing this whole time?'' Juvia whispered to Evergreen gesturing to a police officer kneeling beside Crawford. Evergreen raised her eyebrows in alarm to help her tune out the court formalities.

''Dear God!'' she said rising, quickly grabbing her pistol before rushing from her seat meaning to go toward the cop beside Crawford, then she quickly stopped.

Evergreen had to make a judgment between Kyoka and Crawford. When she saw Kyoka's shackles drop to the floor

Crawford jumped at Lucy with a knife but she caught his arm with both her hands, she held a terrified look in her face as he began to struggle, placing his second hand on the knife and driving it closer toward her collar.

The court bailiff ran past the cowering stenographer and got into the mix, helping Lucy defend herself against Crawford's charging knife, Virgo took her role and kicked repeatedly at the assaulter legs until he was on the floor.

By this time the crowd was screaming and Evergreen had her target but far before she could fire her pistol Crawford was on the floor choking as a mini river of his own blood began to run down the tan carpet.

Kyoka had stabbed him in the chest. ''Everyone please stay back!'' Lucy shouted over the noise of the crowd. Evergreen detained Kyoka by slamming her against a table and swiftly knocking the blade out of her shaking grip.

Lucy threw off her dainty pink dress because it was in the way and sat near Crawford in her black tank. Lucy was known for wearing modest attire all the time and so she would have been very embarrassed at her own actions if she was not trying to desperately save a life.

She opened her large purse and pulled out a stethoscope, gauze pads, gloves, and a penlight. ''Call the police,'' Lucy said trying to put her gloves on, seeing the crowd still in confusion Juvia picked up her cell phone and called the police. ''And ask for an ambulance!''

''We need an ambulance urgently there has been a stabbing!'' Juvia said as calmly as she could preparing to give the location of the courthouse.

Lucy picked up her penlight and attempted to see through the gushing blood.

Using the gauze pad to wipe up smearing blood she could only guess how deep the cut was.

Kyoka's shackles were clamped back into place by the bailiff who was puzzled about how she got out of them. ''Crawford's friends helped me,'' she said smiling at him.

That is when Evergreen remembered the two cops who were unmistakably blameworthy for this whole mishap, she rushed out of the courtroom with her gun and cell phone but leaving her other belongings Aries's care.

Where do the monsters that hide in the closets and under the beds go when we are older? They become eviler and possess the souls of feeble humans.

''Let him depart!'' Kyoka yelled trying to get out of her chair. Angry tears ran down Lucy's paling face, she strained her ears listen to Crawford's heart over Kyoka's yelling. ''How long are they going to take? I'm losing him!'' she could hear air being released from his wound.

He was suffering from pneumothorax, a collapsed lung from the knife's impact. ''He doesn't want to die by an innocent!'' Kyoka shrieked like someone was trying to kill her.

Lucy turned around on her heels and grabbed the knife shocking the crowd, they thought that she would surely finish Crawford off for all that he had done.

Lucy instead looked at the knife carefully analyzing the amount of blood on the length of the blade.

She stabbed very well with a four-inch blade. Lucy flashed her light into his eyes and they reacted to the extra light Lucy then knew he was still very much alive. But his breath was shallow and quickening as time progressed. ''He told me to kill him.'' Kyoka croaked, her voice raspy from all her yelling but no one believed her because she was a sick psycho who clearly enjoyed murder.

Crawford was confused as he patted Lucy's arm and looked around quickly. ''Stay still.'' she put his arm down and held his position. He was acting in a passive and nonthreatening manner because he did not know what was going on.

Officers and paramedics began flooding into the half-empty courtroom, Aquarius sat attentively for questions from reporters still shocked at the whole scene. ''Who are you?!'' a paramedic asked Lucy who tried to follow but was denied Crawford was carefully lifted onto a gurney. ''I am a doctor,'' she said. As Lucy explained about his lung she grabbed her bag and followed closely behind the quick medics.

Crawford was loaded onto the ambulance and she climbed in for the trip. ''What was the holdup?!'' Lucy practically shouted. ''There is a lot of traffic at this time.'' a female paramedic said quietly beginning to work with Crawford. ''The patient is advanced in age so this is more dangerous,'' Lucy said still very excited. ''We are sorry, people refused to move over and purposely held the ambulance up.''

Lucy looked from the EMT. Some people refuse to move over and like to hold up the ambulance because ''It isn't me or a loved one who is dying...why should I care for anyone else? ''The devils are all here,'' Lucy said picking her stethoscope up again.

Every few seconds she was grabbing her pen again to check his barely blinking eyes. After an oxygen mask was placed on his face and his bleeding was completely stopped. ''Isn't this that criminal that was on the news?'' the paramedics asked gathering the vital monitor cords to place on his chest. ''Quiet.'' Lucy raised her hand listening to a water sound, she looked at Crawford's pelvis and found that he had urinated on himself.

''Oh, please!'' Lucy flashed her light, in a pendulum movement into Crawford's eyes to see about his state, his eyes were completely dilated and they did not respond to the light she shone in. Lucy listened for even a faint heartbeat using her stethoscope but all was completely silent and still as if life had never thrived inside of him before.

''He is gone,'' she said beginning to cry without knowing the reason. The paramedics placed the patches on his chest and they all recognized the flat-lining of his heart. Crawford Seam had indeed departed from this world.

Underneath you thought that you had me, fallen and broke in your grasps but I rise above you and reflect to you eyes what you want to be.

I hope you enjoyed this long awaited chapter and forgive me for taking forever to post it.

My good news is that I am now a teacher-trainee and that my heart is ''beautiful'' according to my cardiologist. It was not my heart that was hurting, I still don't know in depth about my health issue because well...my family is anti-hospital unless it's an emergency.

Thank you for every kind word and every follow and review. :)
