*Thank-you for the reviews on the last chapter. They were greatly appreciated. Thank-you all so much!

"Hey," says Renee as she walks into the bedroom as I am unpacking my bags after coming back from our latest European tour. It's been a busy few months and I am just ready to relax and do some focusing on my personal life. From February through Wrestlemania I was stretched thin. I was doing more interviews, appearances, autograph signings and all the fun stuff of being a top superstar. Then after Wrestlemania I thought I could get a little bit of down time but a few days after Mania; Renee and I were on a plane on our way to Europe for another European tour. I've been gone for 2 ½ weeks. I'm just glad to be back in the house.

"Hey," I say as I look up at her and smile. She looks beautiful wearing a white halter sundress. It reminds me of the dress Saige wore the last time I saw her. "You look like you're trying to keep cool."

"I am," she says with a smile as she walks into the bedroom with a smile on her face. "It's hot."

"This is nothing compared to how it's going to be in the summer. You know when that desert heat finally kicks in. We're looking at the triple digits."

"Wow," she says as I toss some clothes into piles on the floor to put them into the laundry. She takes a seat on the bed and looks at me. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," I say, "I'm just exhausted. The last few weeks have kicked my ass."

"Yeah I know," she says. "I don't know whose idea it was to have a European tour right after Wrestlemania. It doesn't make sense. I'm burned out."

"Me too," I say as I empty one of my suitcases. "We get to do it all again on Sunday," I say, "but at least Smackdown is in Las Vegas this week and RAW is in San Francisco. I didn't feel like traveling too far. I don't think my body can handle it," I say as I climb into the bed next to her and lay back on the bed covering my face with my arm as I feel her lay down next to me as she wraps her arm around my waist. I smile and remove my arm from over my face and wrap it around her as she snuggles into me. "Mm," I say as I hold her. My fingertips trace her soft skin as they slide up and down her arm.

"So what happens now?" she asks.

"I don't know," I say. "I guess for Extreme Rules I am having a feud with Luke Harper," I say. "I mean that seems fair right I go from main eventing Wrestlemania down to wrestling Luke Harper on the mid-card sounds about right if your name is Dean Ambrose," I say. I say it almost bitterly but I don't mean to sound that way. It's just been a rough couple weeks with the Wrestlemania loss and the European tour.

"So I take it Seth is going for his rematch?" she asks.

"Yeah," I say. "He's fighting Roman in a last man standing match at Extreme Rules," I say. "And I am fighting Luke Harper in a Chicago Street Fight. It sounds about right to me."

"I'm sorry," she says before I kiss the top of her blonde hair taking in the scent of her Rose smelling shampoo. "I know it sucks."

"It does," I say. "I was ready, Nee. I was ready for that championship. It's like I only get close to it and it's in my grasps then I stumble and fall. I fall short every time. I thought I was going to get it at Mania. They made me feel like I was going to walk out the champion. They had this whole documentary thing going on, they were hyping me up, promoting me and then Roman walked away the champion."

"I know it sucked," says Renee. "It sucked seeing you so sad and broken. It tore my heart apart."

"I just wanted to win, Renee. I mean I understand that it was Roman's time and he's my best friend but damn it I was ready."

"I know baby," she says, "you'll get another chance I'm sure of it. Your time is going to come and you're going to love every minute of it and you know what?"

"What?" I ask as I hold her in my arms.

"When your time comes you're going to enjoy it even more. You're going to think of all the times you failed and came up short walking away with the championship and it's going to feel so good for you to hold that belt over your head and to wear it with pride because you earned it. You earned the shit out of that belt," she says making me smile. "It's not about how many times you lose, Dean it's about how many times you try and keep coming back stronger each time. You're going to get that championship and you're going to win it when the time is right. Right now it was Roman's time. Just ask him. He's come up short just as many times as you have. The moment was perfect for him. I know it would have been perfect for you too but look what he went through in the last year, Dean. He went through a lot. He lost at Wrestlemania last year and kept losing after that. He had to get surgery and was out of action for a little bit. It was his time to win. He deserved it. I'm not saying that you didn't because you did but it just wasn't your time. Your time is coming and it is going to be the sweetest moment of your career."

"I just wish Kennedy could have seen me win that championship," I say. "I feel like I let her down. She was counting on me to win that championship."

"Dean, Kennedy doesn't care if you lost. She's not going to remember that you lost. She's just going to remember that you went out there and you put on the best performance of your life. When I was sitting in that audience I saw a proud little girl, a little girl that loves her father so much and sees the best in him. She was cheering her little heart out for you and when you lost, Dean she wasn't devastated at all. She wasn't upset. She looked at me and said 'That's my daddy and he's the best. He tried and there's next time but he still won to me' She thinks you still won. You're still a winner in her eyes. There was NOTHING but pride on her face before, during and after that match. She doesn't care if you win. She just cares that you're her daddy and you're her hero. You did a good job, Dean and your time is coming. I know it's a blow but it will happen. I promise."

"It was a rough night but in a way it's a good thing I didn't win. I was burnt out from being on the road so much and doing so many shows. I would have been even busier and I would have lost some more time with you and Kennedy. I am going to take this as a blessing. Spend some time with you and Kennedy, take you two away to Florida to enjoy the beach, maybe take Kennedy to Disneyworld for a day and just relax. I can see some of her soccer games which reminds me we have a soccer game to go to this afternoon. I love seeing her out on the field playing her heart out."

"Just like she loves seeing you in the ring wrestling your heart out, she's just as proud of you as you are of her."

"I know," I say with a smile. Kennedy is pretty proud of me it doesn't matter if I win or lose she's proud of me. "I found a couple houses in the area for us to check out if you want. WE can check them out tomorrow."

"Sounds good to me," she says making me smile. "Are you sure you want to sell this house? It's such a beautiful house."

"I think it's time," I say, "I mean I can't ask you to live in the house I shared with Saige it's just not right. I want you to be able to decorate the house however you want and not worry about offending anyone. I have lots of memories in this house with Saige. I want a house with you that we can make our own memories and have our own good times. A house that is ours not one that I shared with someone else, it's going to be hard to sell the house but it's time."

"As long as you're okay with it," she says, "I don't want you to seem forced into selling your house."

"I don't feel forced. I feel like it's the right thing to do," I say with a smile. "It's the best thing for us. It's the start to our future," I say.

"Our future," she says softly and I can hear the smile in her voice. "That sounds nice," she says looking up at me.

"It looks nice," I say with a smile before I lean down and kiss her lips softly.

I roll her over onto her back covering her body with mine as I kiss her softly, deeply and passionately. I feel her fingers in my hair, combing through it as I kiss her passionately. "What are you doing?" says Kennedy's little voice.

I break the kiss and remove myself from Renee. "Nothing we were just kissing," I say. "What's up?"

"My soccer game remember?" she asks as she is dressed in her soccer uniform as if she is ready to go.

"I didn't forget," I say.

"Then why are you in bed. It starts at 2," she says tapping her foot and holding onto her soccer ball.

I look at the clock and see that it's 1:15. "Damn, I'm sorry, Kennedy," I say as I get up out of bed and Renee does the same. "I lost track of time. I'm sorry, Baby."

"It's okay," she says with a smile. "I'm ready to go when you're ready to go," she says.

"Just give me a few minutes and I'll be ready," I say with a smile.

"Okay," she says before she walks out of the room before Renee and I change out of our clothes. She throws on a tank top and a pair of shorts before throwing her short hair into a small ponytail while I throw on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts before putting on my baseball hat and a pair of sneakers.

We spend our afternoon at Kennedy's soccer game. She looks so happy to have me there and just as happy to have Renee there. She keeps smiling at us and waving as she plays. She's a good soccer player. She loves it. Soccer to her is like wrestling to me. She loves it. She's dedicated to it and she always puts on the best performance. She scores two goals for her team and we excitedly cheer and clap for her. We cheer for her pretty much the entire game. I don't get to go to many of her games but when I do I like to make sure she knows I'm rooting for her. The game draws to an end and sadly Kennedy's team doesn't win and she seems to be bummed out about it. I know the feeling so to cheer her up Renee and I take her to Red Robin to get something to eat. It's one of her favorite places to go.

"You played a good game today, Ken," says Renee with a smile as Kennedy sits coloring on the children's menu.

"Thank-you," she says, "I wish we won but there's always next time."

"That's right," I say, "you don't have to win all the time. You just have to go out there and do your best. That's all that matters. You win some you lose some."

"Yeah," she says with a smile.

"I'm proud of you," I say with a smile. "You scored two goals today that was really good."

"Thank-you, Daddy," she says as she colors. "Daddy," she says.

"Yes?"

"Are you upset with Uncle Roman?"

"No," I say, "why would I be upset with Uncle Roman?"

"Because he won and you didn't," she says. "Are you upset with him for that?"

"Of course not, where did you hear that?" I ask.

"People," she says. "I heard people talking in the audience that you were mad that Uncle Roman won and you didn't. They said you're angry at Uncle Seth too because he won last year."

"I'm not upset with anyone," I say.

"Then why did they say it?"

"Sometimes people like to start rumors, Kennedy. A lot of people have their opinions about me and how I feel. I'm not upset with anyone. I'm happy for both Uncle Seth and Uncle Roman. I'm happy they have gotten their chance. People are going to say a lot of things that aren't true," I say. "If you want the truth you can always talk to me."

"Okay, Daddy, so you're not mad at them?"

"No," I say. "I'm happy for them."

"Are you ever going to win the championship?"

"Someday," I say. "I'll win the championship one day."

"I hope so," she says with a smile. "I want my daddy to be the champion someday. I will love you if you aren't but I want to see you win the championship."

"I'm working on it," I say with a smile. "Besides how can I be upset with Uncle Roman if we're going to Florida for a week to see him?"

"We're going to Florida to see Uncle Roman?" she asks.

"And to get some down time to spend time together as a family, Uncle Roman is going to come over for a day with Aunt Lina and Jojo," I say.

"I get to see Jojo? I missed Jojo," she says. "I had fun hanging out with her and playing with her in Texas. She's my best friend."

"I know," I say with a smile. "You're going to have so much fun with her," I say. "We're going to go to the beach house for a little bit and maybe we'll go visit Disneyworld what do you say?"

"I like it," she says with a smile. "I like it a lot! I never went to Disneyworld before."

"I know that's why I want to take you. Renee, you and me can spend the day there would you like that?"

"I would LOVE that," she says with a smile as I look at Renee and she smiles at me. "I can't wait!"

"Me either," I say with a smile. The smile on her face says it all. It makes me happy to see her so happy and to see her so excited. I spend a majority of my time trying to please fans and put on a show for them that I often forget how much of an effect I have on one little girl, the most special little girl in the world. I want to put a smile on her face and make her happy just as much as I make the fans happy. She sacrifices a lot for me and she deserves to be happy and have fun sometimes.

THE NEXT DAY:

Renee and I spent a good part of our morning looking at houses in Las Vegas. We haven't really found anything that we really like. I pull up to a beautiful house in a private location. It's the only house in the neighborhood it seems. There are no neighbors or anyone in walking distance. I love it already but I'm not sure how I feel about Kennedy not having neighborhood kids to play with. It's at least 30 minutes away from our current house which means Kennedy would be going to a completely different school but the house is beautiful from the outside. The drive way extends to a three car garage, there's a small garden out front that needs some work done to it but it's perfect since Kennedy likes to garden we'll plant flowers. We walk to the front door. There is a small concrete walkway from the road leading to the front steps. We greet our realtor and she lets us walk into the house. It is just as beautiful inside as it is outside. The floors are wooden and as we leave the vestibule there is a spiral stair case with marble stairs and a glass railing around it. She takes us through the house. I can't complain I like it. The living room is bigger than the living room we have now, there's a stone fireplace in the living room, a big glass window in the front with a sitting bench. The mantle above the fireplace is made of stone. She takes us to another room that we could use as a den or a game room that's almost as big as our living room now. She follows it up by taking us to see another room on the first floor that could be used as an office or a play room for Kennedy. The room is next to what we would use as a dining room. The walls are a dark blue color and the floor is wooden as well. It's nice and large. We could have a lot of family over for dinner. She takes us into the kitchen and my jaw drops open. It is the biggest kitchen I have ever seen. There's an island in the middle of the kitchen made from stone and marble. The floor is tiled with brown sandstone looking tiles. The cabinets are made of wood and the doors are glass so we can see inside them. The counter tops are made of marble and there's a built in microwave and the refrigerator is stainless steel. I look out the patio door from the other part of the kitchen where we can put a kitchen table and still have enough room. I see an in-ground pool in the backyard and it is a huge yard there's enough room for a swing set and a trampoline yet.

After she shows us the first floor she takes us upstairs so we can see the 5 bedrooms up there. They are large and spacious. The biggest room is the master bedroom that has a master bathroom connected to it with a beautiful bathtub that can be a Jacuzzi and connected to the tub is a shower. It's beautiful. It's the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. The bedroom is beautiful too and the view of the desert is beautiful. We are closer to the desert than before. I like that. There is a door leading to a balcony for us to sit on and enjoy the cool nights in Las Vegas. The house itself is big. There's a lot of space, 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms I am in love. I like it. "What do you think?" I ask Renee as we walk down the stairs to the living room.

"I like it," she says, "but don't you think it's a little big?"

I shrug my shoulders and say, "Maybe we'll need all this space someday. I think Kennedy will love it. Do you love it?"

"It's a beautiful house and I love the kitchen. I love the master bedroom and the master bathroom. I love it all."

"Do you want it?" I ask.

"It's not too much?" she asks.

"Nothing is too much when it comes to my girls," I say with a smile. "I love it. I think it's a beautiful house and I want to make memories with you in this house."

She smiles at me and says, "Okay. Let's get it."

"All right," I say as we join the realtor. "We like the house. We want to put an offer on it."

"That's awesome," she says with a smile. "So you love it huh?"

"In love with it," says Renee with a smile as I wrap my arm around her shoulders.

"I'm glad this house has been on the market for over a year. No one wants to buy it it seems. I'm sure you will have no problem getting the house."

"That would be wonderful," I say, "are the schools good around here? We have a little girl that's 6 years old."

"The schools around here are excellent," she says, "They are the top schools in Las Vegas. They have great reviews. Your daughter will love it."

"I hope so," I say with a smile, "so when will we know about the house?"

"In a couple days and if they accept the offer then it's yours we'll have to go through the normal process of course but it will be yours."

"Wonderful," I say with a smile. "Thank-you."

"You're welcome," she says with a smile.

TWO DAYS LATER:

Sitting in catering my phone rings and I see that it's my realtor. "It's the realtor," I say to Renee as we are eating pasta together. "Hello," I say as I answer the phone.

"Mr. Ambrose," says the woman on the other end.

"This is he," I say with a smile as Renee looks at me waiting on word for what's going to happen with the house. "How can I help you, Sandra?"

"I just wanted to call and let you know that they have accepted the offer and the house is yours. We just have to meet up to fill out some paperwork and all that fun stuff."

"That's awesome, thank-you so much. I come back into town on Tuesday night so if you would like to meet Thursday or Friday that would be great," I say.

"How about Thursday night at 6 pm?"

"That works for me," I say with a smile. "I will see you then."

"See you then," she says before I hang up the phone.

"So?" asks Renee.

"We got the house!"

"I am so happy, Baby," she says with a smile before she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Me too," I say with a smile before I hug her back. "We're getting our own place and we're going to make so many memories. I can't wait."

"Me either," she says with a smile before I kiss her lips softly.
