Chapter 29: Going Crazy

Another month went by with Elliot and Olivia handling 4 kids. It seemed to get easier as the babies got more into a sleeping pattern. Kaden and Vera were very helpful with them both, especially Kaden. It had been a total of 3 ½ months since Elliot had gone to work full time. Since the babies, he had only been picking up a few hours. He thought with 4 kids they needed to make as much money as possible so he decided to go back to work this week. He still hadn't talked to Olivia about it.

"Hey." Elliot smiled as he sat down beside Olivia. "So I did some thinking and decided it was about time for me to go back to work full time, I mean we need as much money as we can get right now because we do have a lot of kids to be taking care of."

Olivia put Ellie down in the bounce seat and sighed.

"I wished you would've came to me and talked before you made this decision because I agree but you would've known that if you would've just talked to me."

Olivia had been feeling slightly distant with Elliot because he hadn't really been the same since they had the babies, at first he was really happy then he seemed like he was there but not really the Elliot she knew, he had become someone much more distant and colder than normal. She thought it was just the pregnancy hormones getting back to normal. She did get attacked a second time and kill a man while being pregnant then had two babies soon after, so it was a lot to handle for anyone.

"I'm sorry I didn't talk to you, it was really stupid of me," Elliot said as rubbed a hand over his face.

"Sometimes I just feel like you are distancing yourself from us."

"A lot has a happened in this last year, Olivia. A lot for one person to handle."

She got that more than anyone but she didn't get why he had to act so distant with her, the person who had lived through it with him.

"I'm sorry." Olivia sighed and kissed his lips softly, "Sometimes I don't think of how it can affect others too. I just want you to talk to me like you use to. We use to be best friends and then now we are engaged and raising 4 kids together. I just figured that would make us even closer than we use to, ya know?"

Elliot heard Ben start crying and stood up to go get him.

Olivia slumped back in the couch and looked down at Ellie, she looked so peaceful as she slept and she resembled Olivia so much, although she had Elliot's blue eyes

Kaden walked out of the hallway and smiled at Olivia.

"Come here baby. You always know how to make momma's day better." She said as she embraced him in her arms.

"I love you momma,"Kaden said as he kissed her cheek.

"I love you more than you'll ever know baby boy."

Kaden sat beside her and stroked her hair as he watched cartoons. She used to do this with him every morning until everything with their dad had happened. Vera would sleep in her bassinet and Kaden and Olivia would lay in bed after Grant left for work and watch TV until she got up to get ready for work.

Elliot walked out of the room and saw them sitting on the couch and smiled. He pushed his gun into the holster and walked over and kissed Olivia's head and Kaden's.

"I love you guys, and I'll see you tonight. How about some takeout and movies?"

"Sounds good, I love you too." Olivia said as she looked up at him and he kissed her softly.

Olivia sighed as Elliot walked out the door. Kaden went onto the floor to play with his toys as Olivia went to cook the kids lunch. It was a Saturday so Elliot didn't have to go in till 11 am. The morning was always the hardest with the babies needing fed and Kaden and Vera wanting breakfast.

Vera stayed at her Gram's on Friday nights and Olivia goes over to pick her up so Grant's mother can see the kids and talk to Olivia. Despite what had happened Olivia and Grant's mother remain close.

After all the kids had been put to bed, Olivia straightened up the house and sat down watching TV, waiting for Elliot to get home. He called earlier and said he would get everything, he just had to finish up some paperwork. She put on some random show and started dozing off…

She jumped awake and saw the time, she walked into her bedroom and saw the window was hanging opened and she went to close it.

"Miss me?" The sound of his voice sent chills down her spine.

"Tucker...but-I-I killed you." She stuttered.

"You thought so, huh."

He inched closer towards her and she started screaming as he snapped her neck.

Olivia jumped awake and gasped for air as she realized she was only dreaming. She had been dreaming about him a lot lately. She thought him being dead would fix it but it didn't.

She looked at the time and it read 11:45. She looked at her phone and had no missed calls from Elliot. So she dialed his number and his voice rang through her ears as if it was such a big relief after her dream.

"Olivia, I'm sorry I fell asleep. I'll be home right away."

"It's fine, I just had this bad feeling, but I'm okay now." She sighed.

"I love you and I'll see you soon."

"I love you too."

She sighed and smiled as she hung up the phone and relaxed a little. She had to admit, she couldn't wait for her hormones to get back to normal because she was driving herself crazy... That's when she heard the glass breaking in her bedroom...
