With a glare, Kenji was finding it hard to fend these two off. He had the experience over them. He has lived for hundreds of years! But he as finding it exhausting to do just that! They were legit evenly matched, but two on one was a bit much because of that.
Jumping back to dodge another attack, Kenji narrowed his eyes. These two were up to something and he knew it. But what was it? Gasping as he glared, he now realized that he was getting further and further away from his true targets! The women and children! It is the bond that they have with all the guys that helped him catch them off guard and kill the rest of them. But this time nothing was going right! They should have died in the nut house and ended the cycle!
But they were ready for him it would seem. The more people they came in contact with the more they saw and realized about what was going on. Now this time instead of hiding them, they were in the open and surrounded. Narrowing his eyes he gave a sly smile. 'Fine then. If I cannot get to them and kill them to spark the rage I need to get the upper hand of them, then I will use my words to do it. That should get things started off.' He turned back to the gold eyes of Sanosuke. "You know I think I will do this different than I did before. This time I will kill everyone except for Kishiko and Otohime. Then I think I will show them what it is like to be with a real man before they join you in hell."
Staying still as stone, Sanosuke forced himself not to react to what he said at all. He didn't so much as change his breathing or narrow his eyes. But inside he raged at what he said. This man before him was the reason that his wife and children suffered so much up until now. He took the life of a dear friend to them all. There was no way knowing what would happen that he would lose to him. No way in hell.
When Sanosuke showed no reaction at all, even his heart rate didn't increase, Kenji glared. If his memory served him well, that should have made him fly into a rage to defend the honor of his wife. But yet it did nothing to even make him glare harder at him.
Turning to Toshizo he let his smile return to his face. Where Sanosuke was always quick to defend Kishiko, who clearly could handle her own if she had too, Otohime was never anything but frail. Insulting that should get a rize out of Toshizo to make him do something stupid and throw whatever plan they had right out the window. "Of course maybe then again I will just have my fun with Kishiko and kill Otohime anyway. She is so weak and timid that she isn't worth the effort it would take. I really don't understand how the Demon Commander of the Shinsengumi wanted such a weak and frail wife in the first place."
Just like Sanosuke, Toshizo was able to keep his rage from being seen at what he said about Otohime. He would pay for that and everything he has done to his men, his family and his friends. But hearing the growling like noises coming from Heisuke and Shinpachi gave him an idea.
If they charged him, and kept him busy with them, they should be able to get around to the side and distract him enough that they can pin his arms down, and two more could come pin his legs down. But they also knew that they would have to give their own lives to get close enough to grab him and give them the chance that they needed to pin him. But their wives and children were worth anything that they had to do to make sure that they lived on together. The rest of the men would make sure that they were taken care of. Just like they promised.
A glance over at Sanosuke told him the plan. That was all that was needed. He then looked back at Kenji and spoke low so that he wouldn't hear him. "Heisuke. Shinpachi. Both of you go all out. Charge him with all you have but be cautious about it as well. Now!"
Once they charged him and started to push him back more, Toshizo and Sanosuke moved, each going to the other side. It was time to end this! Finally!

Both Otohime and Kishiko kept their eyes on their husbands as the fight seemed to go on and on and on and on. Both of them would glance at the other with fear in their eyes once in a while before they each found their husband. They hoped it was only fear, but they couldn't stop the feeling that something was going to go wrong and they were going to get hurt. They hoped they were wrong though, seeing as they just found them and for the first time ever since they were born were whole again.
Glancing back at Kishiko, Souji couldn't help but sigh. They have fought like crazy since their first meeting. But right now his heart went out to her with what was going on right now. Turning his eyes back to the battle, he smiled as he laughed. "Everything is going to be fine. I know you and I fight Kishiko, but regardless I would give my life for you, Otohime and those kids. You mean that much to me. To all of us here around you. Have faith in your husbands too. With as much as you all mean to us, you mean so much more to them. They just found you too. They won't leave you alone."
Flicking her crying brown eyes, Otohime came into contact with Isami's brown eyes as well. Her hold on her children tight as she pleaded with his eyes. She wanted to believe that but something told her that it wasn't going to come to pass. She needed reassurance now more than ever.
Smiling Isami nodded to her. "It's alright Otohime. He is right and I think deep down you know it. They won't let you lose them again. Not after only a few days with you. Have faith." Turning back to the fight, Isami narrowed his eyes. "We were all caught off guard last time when you were hidden away. We didn't think he would have had that many Furies. This time we have control of how this fight goes."
Feeling Otohime shake, Kishiko sighed as she moved her left hand off of her son's hip and held it out to the side and nudged Otohime with her shoulder. Gripping her right hand tightly when she put it in hers. Looking over her shoulder to Otohime's crying eyes, she let tears mist in her own.
Both of them praying that it would come out fine like they all said. But they just didn't think that was the case. Closing their eyes they sighed as they bowed their heads to say a payer that everyone else was right and they were wrong.
"Watch out!"
But then their eyes shot opened their eyes in time to see Sanosuke and Toshizo charge right at Kenji. But just as they got to him he held his swords out and ran them through their stomachs! Kishiko let her tears spill over to see the pain and rage in her husband's eyes as he stood his ground glaring at Kenji. After a few deep breaths she chimed in perfectly with Otohime. "No!"
