A Treat For Father Christmas

Excitement bubbled inside of Harry as his small five year old hands carefully placed the last mince pie on the colourful Christmas themed plate. His bright emerald green eyes sparkled with excitement as he looked at all of his hard work, this year he had gone the extra mile and placed some exotic fruit inside the mince pies along with a marzipan lid for the top of the mince pies instead of the normal pastry lid he normally did, he had also used several different bits of red and green icing that was left over from when he had decorated the Christmas Fruit Cake to create small berries and leaves which he placed on the top of the mince pies.

Knowing what his aunt was like Harry carefully stepped down off of his small stool, picked it up and carried it over to the kitchen sink, placed it down carefully and stood on it and began to wash his hands. As he washed his small hands Harry did his best to keep the excitement and happiness off of his face knowing that if he didn't he would just get another beating from his uncle unlike if he kept it off of his face and looked as miserable as possible his relatives would just ignore him and allow him to do what he needed to do while being ignored.

"Boy, this year you are going to cook the Christmas roast again so you better not let anything go wrong," Petunia snapped out as she glared at her freakish nephew with sharp beady eyes, "I don't want to lose any of my beauty sleep, I want to be able to wake up tomorrow morning and enjoy Christmas with my Vernie-poo and my Dudders, got that freak?"

"Yes aunt Petunia," Harry replied with a nod of his head as he turned the taps off, this was shaping up to be a great Christmas as he'd be able to sneakily eat some food as he was preparing it, "I understand...should I do all the trimmings this year? Should I lay the table and put the presents under the Christmas tree again?"

"Of course you will boy," Petunia hissed out as she sent Harry a dark glare, "I refuse to do any work tomorrow, its Christmas day tomorrow! You will be doing all of the work so you better start cooking the Pork, Turkey and repairing the bacon to wrap around the turkey and Pork!"

"Yes aunt Petunia," Harry replied as he stepped off of his stool only to find the home made Christmas mince pies he had made shoved into his hands.

"Good, now it's getting late so after I put Dudley to bed Vernon and myself will be going to bed as we have an early start tomorrow," Petunia said with a sniff as she pointed to the living room, "Now go and put the mince pies I made on the table by the fireplace that my precious Dudley prepared so lovingly for Father Christmas."

"Yes aunt Petunia," Harry replied simply as he walked into the hallway heading towards the living room while trying to hide his happiness, this Christmas was shaping up to be one of the best ever as he wouldn't be locked in his cupboard or beaten as he was doing the needed work for the Christmas Day.

This was going to be one good Christmas for Harry, especially when he found out just what the Christmas present Father Christmas was going to give him tomorrow was.
