Ludwig ran until he stopped a few yards short of the hospital, then continued on to it while going at a more human pace so he wouldn't appear suspicious.

Feliciano was wrapped up tightly with more towels, the German vampire having forgotten to let the Italian get dressed. Said Italian was laying against his chest, breathing softly. He was still awake, but just barely.

Ludwig quickly rushed in through the doors as he yelled out, "DOCTOR!"

Nurses rushed up the Ludwig. They called for a gurney, laid Feliciano on it, then rolled him away quickly, the little Italian crying out softly for Ludwig to not leave him alone.

Another nurse approached the German. "Sir, you need to tell us what happened," she said gently. "And we need you to fill out this paperwork for us. We need to know his blood type, date of birth, things like that."

"He was bitten by a large dog. We were trying out a Japanese bath when it showed up and attacked him. I managed to get him away and ran here," Ludwig lied to cover up the real reason as he wrote down all of the information and handed it back. "Am I allowed to be in there with him?"

The nurse shook her head. "I'm sorry. No. You can see him later when he is put into a room. Until then, you'll have to wait I'm afraid."

Ludwig frowned but nodded. "Fine. I understand. Where is the waiting room?"

"Right through that door."

"Danke," Ludwig muttered then headed to the room.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Lovino was still rolling back and forth on his back and growling as he tried to get the muzzle and ropes off.

Antonio was sitting beside him, speaking softly in Spanish as he tried to calm the wolf down. The others had gathered together in the living room.

"What the hell could have happened to make Lovino attack Feli like that?" Gilbert asked from his spot on the couch.

"I-I don't know…." Matthew stuttered as he watched Lovino as he sat next to Gilbert. "Antonio…? Do you know why...?"

"Si," Antonio muttered.

"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled.

"T-Then what happened?" Matthew stuttered in surprise.

"Lovi told me that he would need to stay away from Feli for a while. Because of the fight, Feli challenged Lovi as alpha. So Lovi would have to attack to show supremacy. Or something like that," the Spaniard explained, rubbing Lovino's back.

"D-Does Feliciano know that….?" Matthew asked nervously.

Antonio shook his head. "I don't know. If he did though, I'm sure he wouldn't have come so close to Lovi in the first place."

Matthew went to reply but was cut off by Lovino letting out a loud whine and starting to tremble while squeezing his eyes shut.

Guessing what was happening, Antonio broken the muzzle and tossed it to the side then yanked the ropes tying Lovino up apart. Gilbert caught on and tossed the Spaniard a large, soft blanket, which Antonio held ready to drape over the Italian.

Lovino let out a small whimper and curled in on himself as he continued to tremble then slowly started turning human again.

Antonio quickly wrapped Lovino in the blanket and pulled him close, murmuring softly to him that it would be over soon.

Finally done changing, Lovino panted for breath as he leaned against Antonio and started to tear up.

The vampire held him gently. "Shh... Lovi... Don't cry..." he whispered softly.

"S-Shut up, dammit! I-It's my fucking fault!" Lovino cried and smacked at Antonio's chest.

The Spaniard only hugged Lovino closer.

At the hospital, the same nurse from before finally approached Ludwig after what seemed like hours but had only been little over thirty minutes. "If you'll follow me, I'll take you to him," she said.

Ludwig nodded and got to his feet and followed after her. "How is he? Everything fine now right?" He asked.

"The bites were much deeper then we originally though. The dog that bit him must have been huge. Around the size of a wolf, correct?" she said, giving Ludwig a look that clearly said she knew he had lied. Before he could answer, she continued. "We were able to stop the bleeding and stitch him back up. But..." She trailed off, biting her lip nervously.

"It WAS a dog, ma'am. Certain breeds of dogs can range to being around that size," Ludwig said then froze at the second part. "Er…. 'But'… what…? Is something wrong?"

"The damage to the muscles in his arm is extensive. I'm sorry," she said softly. "We don't think he'll ever be able to use his left arm again."

Ludwig really froze this time as he stared at the nurse with wide eyes. "W-Was…? What did you just say….?!"

"I'm sorry," she repeated, just as they stopped in front of a door. She opened it and ushered Ludwig in, then shut the door again and walked off, leaving the German alone with Feliciano, who was currently sound asleep on the bed, I.V blood bags attached to his arm and a heart monitor beeping softly, following the sound of the Italian's heart.

"Feliciano…." Ludwig murmured in a lost tone as he made his way over by the Italian. "Verdammit… I'm so sorry… I should have stopped him…. Done something…."

Feliciano's soft breathing was his only answer. The wounds on his shoulder were layered in white gauze. The hospital had also provided some clothing for him. The only thing that seemed wrong was the werewolf's left hand. It was to still... Feliciano's right would move every now and then, even though it was only a tiny bit, almost unnoticeable. But his left did nothing. It just lay at his side.

Ludwig bit his lip and rubbed his forehead as he let out a sigh.

A soft, sleepy voice spoke. "What's the matter, Luddy...? Why are you sighing like that...?" When Ludwig whipped around in surprise, he was greeted by the worried and tired gaze of Feliciano's honey amber colored eyes.

Ludwig's eyes snapped wide open. "F-Feliciano! You're awake!"

Feliciano smiled weakly. "V-Veh~."

"Do you need anything?" Ludwig asked. "I can go get a nurse."

The Italian moved to push himself up into a sitting position, but, being unable to get his left arm into place, he fell back against the pillows. "Luddy...?" Feliciano asked, frightened. "Why... Why can't I move my arm...?"

Ludwig bit his lip as he started trying to think of the best way to say it. "I…. I'm not exactly sure how to tell you this…"

"... It's because of the bites... isn't it..." Feliciano said quietly, starring at his bandaged shoulder.

Ludwig nodded but still didn't meet the Italian's eyes. "Ja…. Because of the bites….."

Feliciano was silent as he inspected the bandages a little more. He lifted his shoulder a little and winced, letting it drop back down.

"I'm sorry…. I should have done something before when it first started happening…."

The Italian shook his head. "Don't be upset with yourself, Luddy. It wasn't your fault," he said gently. "I should have know better than to try to get close to Lovi."

Ludwig blinked in surprise at the comment. "Er…. What exactly do you mean by that….?"

"What happened was my fault," Feliciano began. "Earlier, when we had that fight, I accidentally challenged Lovi's authority as alpha. So our natural instincts kicked in, and he had to put me in my place. So he took away my ability to walk correctly. At least when I'm in wolf form. No wolf would follow a crippled leader."

Ludwig frowned in concern. "… I see…." Then he trailed off, not really sure of what or how to say anything at the moment.

Feliciano reached over and carefully pulled the needle from his arm and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. "Can we go home now?" he asked.

Ludwig nodded and moved so the Italian could stand up. "Ja, we can. Do you need help standing up?"

"I don't think so," Feliciano said, standing. He stayed up on his own, but grabbed Ludwig's hand anyway.

"Good…." Ludwig said and gently squeezed Feliciano's hand. "I don't think there's anything else we need to do, so I guess we'll head back to your house."

Feliciano nodded. "Va bene. I feel like fratello is going to do something silly. We should hurry."

"How's…. How's Feliciano…?" Lovino nervously asked. "W-where is he….?"

"He's okay. He's with Ludwig," Antoni assured him.

"…. You sure he's okay….?" Lovino mumbled and glanced away.

"Si. I'm positive," the vampire said.

"….. He hates me now… He has to…"

"No, Lovi, no," Antonio said quickly. "Feliciano would never hate you."

Lovino snorted back. "Even if I almost fucking killed him?"

"Lovi, that wasn't your fault," Antonio said gently.

Lovino ignored him as he pulled away and stood up while covering himself better. "…. I'm going to go get some clothes…"

Antonio nodded. "Okay."

Lovino quickly moved away and headed up the stairs to his room and shut the door.

After few moments, Antonio jumped up and followed him, leaving everyone else in the living room.

However, Lovino had already gotten dressed and was currently in Romulus' office with the door shut as he searched through the drawers.

Hearing things being moved around, Antonio opened the door of the office. "Lovi? What are you doing in here?" he asked.

Lovino jumped back in shock, just short of grabbing a letter opener from the drawer. "N-Nothing, dammit! W-What the hell are you doing in here?!"

Curious, Antonio moved towards him. "I heard you moving stuff around. I didn't know it was you, though. So I came to see who it was, since I don't know where Romulus went. Were you looking for something?" he asked, stopping next to him.

"N-No!" Lovino quickly stuttered then went to slam the drawer shut before Antonio could look inside. "I-I was just bored is all!"

However, a glint of metal caught Antonio's eyes. He reached out and pulled open the drawer again, revealing a letter opener. Only... it was made of pure silver.

Lovino nervously started inching backwards to the door as Antonio's attention was on the letter opener.

The vampire took the item from the drawer. "Lovi... were you looking for this...?" he asked softly.

Lovino quickly shook his head no as he avoided Antonio's gaze.

"You're lying..." Antonio said, sadness filling his eyes. "Lovi, what did you want this for?"

"N-Nothing…." Lovino stuttered nervously and braced himself to run out of the room.

"You don't have to run from me, you know," Antonio said gently. "I'm not going to yell at or scold you."

"Not like I haven't heard THAT before…." Lovino muttered under his breath. Then, to test Antonio, he inched over to the desk and started reaching for the letter opener.

The vampire didn't say anything. He simply stuck the opener in his pocket then put his hand on top of it.

Lovino stared at the pocket then up at Antonio's face. "What the hell was that for?!" he demanded as he reached for it again.

Before he could get any closer, the front door opened and a voice called into the house. "Veh, fratellone? Are you here? Can I come near you now?"

Lovino groaned then stomped over to the door and stuck his head out as he called down the stairs. "I'm a little fucking BUSY right now!"

"But can I come near you now? I need in my room! I don't have any clean clothes in the laundry room and I only have this weird dress thing!" Feliciano yelled back.

"Fine! Go do whatever the hell you want-!" Lovino started to yell back but stopped when he fully processed Feliciano's words. "What fucking weird dress thing?!"

"The thing I'm wearing right now!" Feliciano explained. "It's really short and green! And it ties in the back at my neck but it's open the rest of the way down so I'm kind of cold, but Luddy is here and he's standing behind me so I'm not really super cold~!"

Lovino's face turned sheet white and he instantly raced down the stairs to his twin while cursing in loud rapid Italian at Feliciano for 'being so fucking stupid' and at Ludwig for 'being such a damn pervert he should just go home and die before he fucking killed him'.

"Veh~! Ciao, fratellone~!" Feliciano greeted, smiling brightly at his twin when the other arrived.

Instead of greeting his twin, Lovino grabbed a spare blanket off the couch and tossed it around his twin. Then he grabbed Feliciano's arm and dragged him up the stairs all the way to the younger twin's room.

"Yay~! Now I'm all warm~!" Feliciano chirped, pulling the blanket tighter happily.

"Will you shut the hell up and just get dressed?!" Lovino demanded as he shut the door to Feliciano's room and started going through the drawers until he found a pair of clothes, which he tossed at his twin's head.

Feliciano giggled and bundled the clothes together. "Okay~!" he chirped, moving into the bathroom and shutting the door. "I'll be right out~!"

"Whatever, dammit….." Lovino muttered then flopped down backwards onto his brother's bed.

In the bathroom, Feliciano moved very slowly. He dropped the blanket and wiggled out of the hospital gown. He sat on the side of the bathtub and carefully pulled his shirt on, having to maneuver his useless arm into the hole. When it was on, however, it covered the bandages perfectly and he smiled. Next, he manged to put on his boxers and pants. He only rarely wore shorts because of the scar on his leg. The entire process took about half and hour.

As this went on, Lovino was still in Feliciano's room and laying back on his twin's bed. But, as time passed, his eyes slowly closed and he fell asleep right then and there.

The door clicked softly as Feliciano finally emerged, the blanket folded and tucked under his right arm. He smiled at his brother when he saw him. "Aww~," he cooed softly. "Fratello's all tired~." He snuck quietly from the room, careful not to disturb the other. Then he made it out of his room, he crept down the hall to the stairs and headed down.

At the same moment, Ludwig was downstairs with the others and was explaining what he was told by the doctor.

Feliciano stopped and leaned against the wall to listen in, just out of sight of anyone in the room.

"I know that the doctor thinks that Feliciano's arm can't be used anymore, but, there is also the fact about him being a werewolf. I personally believe that this is a slight chance that it can heal completely and he'll still be able to use it," Ludwig said in a calm tone of voice. "Of course, when I was there I also made sure to tell them that it was a dog who bit Feliciano. It wouldn't be good for them to find out the truth."

"Shit... I hope you're right, West. That would suck big time if Feels couldn't use that arm anymore," Gilbert's voice answered.

"Guys," Antonio started, his voice so serious that all chatter died instantly and caused Feliciano to listen more intensely. "I don't know what he was thinking... or what he was going to do... But, just a few minutes before you and Feli got back, Ludwig... I went upstairs and heard someone moving around in Romulus' office. When I went in, I found Lovi."

'What was fratello doing in Nonno's office?' Feliciano wondered.

"He was really surprised when I caught him and said he hadn't been doing anything. But... he was trying to get this..." Antonio must have shown them something, because gasps where heard.

"Isn't that...?" Alfred began.

"Si," Antonio confirmed. "It's a pure silver letter opener."

Feliciano felt his blood run cold. 'W-Why was fratello looking for silver...? W-What was he thinking? Was he going to... hurt himself...?'

Ludwig frowned and went to reply but stopped when he heard movement behind him. "…. I just heard something. From there," He said as he looked and pointed at Feliciano's hiding spot.

The Italian had fallen back against the wall. He slid slowly onto the ground, pulling his knees to his chest and hiding his face behind them. He didn't notice that the sounds in the living room had stopped, his thought whirling through his mind to quickly to care.

"Should we check who it is?" Antonio asked.

Ludwig slowly stood up and started walking over. "I'll do it." Then he made his way over and stopped short at what he found. "Feliciano….? What are you doing here…?" He asked as he knelt down and set his hand on the Italian's good shoulder.

Feliciano looked up at the vampire, his eyes beginning to turn gold. "W-Why did... Why did fratello want silver...?" he asked softly.

Ludwig blinked a few times then realized that Feliciano must have heard them before. Biting his lip, he said, "I… I don't know… You'll have to ask your bruder."

The werewolf jumped to his feet and ran up the stairs. He hadn't noticed that he'd kicked the wall with his heel and left a hole from the force.

Back upstairs, Lovino slowly stirred and sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Huh….? Did I fall asleep…? Where the hell is Feliciano…?" He groggily slurred as he looked around his twin's room.

The door banged open and Feliciano stormed in, his eyes glowing brightly.

Lovino blinked and stared at his twin, confused. "What the hell are YOU glaring at me for….?"

"What were you going to do with Nonno's letter opener, fratello?" Feliciano snapped.

"Shit….." Lovino muttered under his breath. Out loud, he said, "Open letters. What the hell else are you supposed to do with the damn thing?"

"Why can't you just tear the top like everyone else? Why go for the silver opener in Nonno's office?" Feliciano growled.

"Because I fucking felt like it," Lovino retorted, then got up and started to walk past Feliciano out of the room.

Feliciano visible tensed when Lovino neared him and he shied away slightly, turning his left shoulder away from his twin. "You don't just feel like picking up something that burns your skin, Lovino."

"Well, why the hell are you moving your left shoulder away from me?" Lovino spat as he bluntly (or at least pretended to) ignored the comment.

"Tell me why you wanted the opener," Feliciano countered. "And maybe I'll tell you. But if you lie, I'm not saying anything." He was doing it to protect himself. Instinctively, his body was shielding his most vulnerable side from the immediate threat that was the alpha.

Lovino scowled and looked away. "Why the hell should I tell you…? What does it matter anyway?"

"Because I know you were going to hurt yourself," the younger Italian said, a soft hint of anger in his voice.

"Gino's right behind you. Watch it," Lovino said, trying to dodge the comments yet again.

Feliciano blinked, the golden glow of his eyes dimming a little from the abruptness of Lovino's words. "Veh?" he said curiously, looking behind him and seeing that, yes, Gino was just sitting there, waiting to be noticed.

Lovino blinked, confused that the distraction actually working. Then, to take advantage of Feliciano's attention being on the cat, Lovino quietly moved forward and started to slowly and carefully slid Feliciano's shirt collar down so he could check his twin's shoulder.

Feeling something move on his neck, Feliciano squealed loudly and jumped away from Lovino, almost crashing into the wall. Gino jumped up and scampered off, most likely to find Gio. "W-What are you doing?" he whined. "That felt weird!"

Lovino guiltily yanked his hand back and started to walk out of the room. "… Nothing, dammit… Sorry…"

Feliciano's arm shot out and he grabbed Lovino's hand. "Aspetta. You... You never answered me... Fratellone, what where you going to do with that silver opener?" he asked softly. When Lovino looked back at him, he saw that Feliciano's eyes had returned to their original color and he was no longer angry, only upset.

Lovino scowled and turned his head away. "Because…. I fucking deserve it alright….? There. I fucking said it. Happy now?" He snapped while non-verbally confirming his reasons for looking for the letter opener.

"Fratello..." Feliciano wrapped his good arm around his twin. "Don't say that. You didn't and don't deserve that."

"Says the one who can only use one arm," Lovino snapped.

"That was my fault, not yours."

"I'M the one who fucking did it," Lovino shot back harshly.

"I'm the one who provoked it," Feliciano snapped.

Lovino growled a little and snapped back, "Will you just shut the fuck up and let me take the damn blame here?!"

"No. I won't," Feliciano said defiantly, setting his hand on his hip. "So stop trying because I'm not going to ever say si."

"Fine! Do whatever the hell you want to!" Lovino spat then started to head out of the room again.

"Why are you being so mean to me?!" Feliciano demanded, moving in front of his brother and blocking the door. "To me and to yourself! What did I do?! What did you do?! What happened to make you so angry?! How do I make you feel better?!"

Lovino went to snap back but paused at his twin's words. "What the hell do you mean by being mean to you and myself?!"

"Don't try to say that you aren't! You are mean to me! But you're worse to yourself! Lovino, why!? Do you not like yourself or something!? I hate watching you putting yourself down and telling yourself you aren't good enough! It makes me so mad!" Feliciano's eyes were beginning to glow once more as his anger grew.

Lovino's own eyes flashed as he took a step back and went to walk around his twin. "Fuck this. I'm going for a fucking walk."

Feliciano moved with him, continuing to block his path. "Stop running away from me," he growled.

Downstairs, the group in the living room was starring nervously up at the ceiling. They could hear everything the twins were saying and it was making them all nervous.

"Someone should go talk to them," Gilbert ventured, gently patting Gilbird's head as the tiny chick trembled and puffed in fright of the loud arguing. "They're really going at it... It won't end well if someone doesn't go check on them."

"Oui... It really doesn't sound good… Someone MUST talk to them…" Francis said then sent a pointed look at both Antonio and Ludwig.

Antonio nodded and stood up. "Come on, Ludwig. Let's see if we can't help them," he said, moving out of the room and towards the stairs.

Ludwig nodded and quickly got up and followed after the other vampire.

"I'm NOT fucking running," Lovino growled as his eyes glowed and his teeth and nails started lengthening.

Before the argument could escalate any further, Antonio and Ludwig appeared.

"Whoa whoa whoa," Antonio said, stepping between the two. "Calm down guys. It's alright."

Taking advantage of the vampires' appearance, Lovino turned and stomped out of the room.

Feliciano growled then stormed into his room, slamming the door behind him. Antonio glanced at Ludwig then quickly followed after Lovino.

However, Lovino had already stormed downstairs and out to the backyard.

The Spanish vampire quietly exited the house and moved to the Italian's side. "... Lovi?" he asked gently, after a moment of silence. "Is everything alright? Are you okay?"

Lovino growled and swatted at Antonio with a clawed hand. "Fuck off!" he growled and bared his lengthened teeth.

The vampire held up his hands. "Lovi," he repeated in the same gentle tone. "It's okay. I just want to make sure you're alright. I'm here for you, querido. Te amo, mi tesoro."

Lovino only growled in reply and started to stalk off.

Worried, Antonio followed, careful to keep a distance between himself and the werewolf until he was told he could move closer.

Lovino continued stomping but growled out, "STOP following me."

"No," Antonio said calmly.

Lovino froze then slowly turned back with his eyes blazing and his claws and teeth longer. "… Scusi…?"

"Lovi, I'm not a part of your pack," Antonio said gently.

Lovino only growled lowly in response and stalked closer to Antonio.

Antonio watched him, staying still.

Lovino stalked right up to Antonio and got in his face while growling lowly, at the moment in too bad of a mood to be able to form words due to instincts taking over.

"It's okay, Lovino," Antonio said gently.

Lovino growled then spun around and ran into the woods.

The Spanish vampire ran after him, easily keeping pace.

However, when Antonio was close enough, Lovino twisted back around and jumped at the vampire, harshly biting down into Antonio's shoulder with his lengthened teeth and grabbed onto Antonio with his claws.

Antonio gasped softly in pain but didn't try to fight him off. He made his arm limp, letting Lovino bite him.

Lovino paused at the lack of response and pulled away to smell the arm near him. After a second of getting the scent, he started backing away while whimpering.

"Shh... shh... Lovi, it's okay," Antonio said gently. "See? I'm fine. It's okay." He lifted his arm to show Lovino he wasn't hurt, then slowly and carefully brought Lovino close and hugged him. "You're alright. Everything is fine."

Lovino whimpered and whined as he rubbed his head against Antonio's other shoulder.

The vampire began to gently rub Lovino's back with one hand and continued to hold him with the other. "Shh... Shh... It's alright... I promise... Everything is okay..." he murmured softly.

Lovino whined again then trembled as his eyes, teeth, and nails went back to normal.

"It's okay, Lovi... It's okay..." Antonio said gently, continuing to rub the Italian's back. "Look, it's healing already. I'm fine. It's okay..."

"How…. How the hell can you say that….?" Lovino mumbled. "You know what I was thinking….. and what I was treating you like…."

"It doesn't matter Lovi. It doesn't matter, because I love you," Antonio answered.

Back upstairs, Ludwig sighed and knocked on Feliciano's door. "Feliciano?"

"What do you want?" Feliciano's voice snapped back.

"To talk to you," Ludwig answered then slowly opened the door and walked into the room.

Feliciano whipped around. He was sitting on his bed, his back to the door, glaring over his shoulder at the German. "I didn't say come in," he growled.

"I know," Ludwig answered calmly. "But I know you probably still need to talk. It will help."

"Go away," the Italian grumbled, turning back around.

"Nein. I won't," Ludwig answered sternly. "Not until we talk."

Feliciano turned again, his eyes blazing brighter than before. His right hand clutched the sheets on his bed tightly, his nails becoming claws. He bared his sharpening teeth at Ludwig. "Leave. Me. Alone," he ground out.

Ludwig stood where he was with a sterner expression. "Nein."

The Italian stood up, trembling in anger. "Why not?"

"Because we NEED to talk. Getting angry about it won't help."

"I. Don't. Care. I can feel however I want, whenever I want. This is my house. And you are in my room," Feliciano spat icily, his eyes narrowing, his sharp teeth still bared at the German furiously.

"….." Ludwig slowly reached out and pulled the Italian close.

Instantly, Feliciano struck at him, his clawed hand slashing across the front of Ludwig's shirt, tearing the fabric and leaving little scar marks across his chest. He bit at the vampire's arm angrily, warning him to let go, growling lowly.

Ludwig continued to hold him close. "I'm not letting go Feliciano."

The Italian's eyes flashed brightly for a moment, then began to fade back to their original color. The werewolf began to tremble and his eyes to water. He whimpered softly as his nails and teeth returned to their natural length.

Still, Ludwig held Feliciano close. "Nein… Don't cry…. It's alright."

"L-Luddy..." Feliciano whimpered.

"Hmm? What is it?" Ludwig asked as he looked down.

"I-I'm sorry..." the Italian wolf said softly, gently putting his hand over the lightly bleeding scratches. "I d-didn't mean to..."

Ludwig gently took the hand in his own larger one. "It's fine. I know it's not your fault. How do you feel now?"

Feliciano hiccuped from repressed tears. He leaned forward and gently licked at the blood, cleaning the wounds with his tongue on instinct.

Ludwig gently moved Feliciano's head away. "Nein. You shouldn't lick at them. It's not sanitary."

The werewolf whimpered softly and laid his head on Ludwig's chest, trembling.

Ludwig slowly started to rub part of Feliciano's back, away from the wounded shoulder. "It's alright…"

Everyone downstairs could still hear the two. After looking around at each other, they all silently agreed it was time to leave. They departed quickly, deciding to meet up again later, when everything had calmed down.
