Alright. Only one review in over a week. Kinda bummed. Oh well. Guess this thing wasn't as popular as it was in the beginning. Anyway, now you get a look at how Leo (Phoenix's baby brother you saw in the first chapter) is living with visitations to his long-lost parents.

Another article

Narcissa and Lucius were lounging in their bed, one of their hands holding either side of a magazine. They read at about the same speed, Narcissa found her husband comfy, and Lucius was much calmer when he had his wife close. So, the position added up to a relaxed evening for them both.

They first discovered the position when the pair had just recently married. Narcissa had gotten sick, finding difficulties going a single hour without hurling. If the woman had any weakness, it was being sick. In fact, she turns into a pathetic sobbing mess, miserable beyond belief and terrified of her next trip to a bucket. Lucius could do little but hold her and rub her back, which amazingly helped more than tea or anything else. In fact, she went straight to sleep.

"Oh my…" Narcissa chuckled, having skipped an article trying to put Dumbledore down and going ahead to one about the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament. "Well, he is your son."

"Please tell me damage-control isn't needed…" Lucius sighed.

Second Task taken seriously

In the Triwizard Tournament hosted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the second task, something (or more appropriately, someone) important was taken from each champion. The champion was to retrieve this friend/sibling within a time-limit. Of course, all staff and most students knew well that there was no threat to the hostages. Most knew Dumbledore would never allow it. "I knew they were safe either way." Says Cedric Diggory, one of the Hogwarts Champions. "But I can see how Fleur, Victor, and Phoenix got the idea. They just met Dumbledore this year, after all. Heck, it even slipped Harry's mind."

Phoenix Malfoy, however, was the main worry of Professors Snape, Karkaroff, and Dumbledore. After seeing her power first-hand as she took down a full-grown dragon as if it was nothing, they were understandably careful in their dealings with the infuriated student. The hostage taken from her was her twin brother, Draco Malfoy.

'My father will hear about this' is the boy's most common threat whenever anything happens to him at school, such as being attacked by a rabid Hippogriff or being transfigured into a ferret for the rest of the day by a professor. Both, it should be noted, were supported by his own sister. In fact, it has been confirmed that Phoenix allowed her brother to remain a vermin for the entire day and never missed a chance to remind him that it was his own cowardice that earned him the punishment. Nor does either of his long-lost sisters miss the chance to say that they preferred him as a cute animal.

However, Draco Malfoy's usual threat didn't appear that evening or any time because of his role as a hostage for his sister. It is unknown why the threat was not used. Some speculate that Phoenix is more terrifying than her influential father so the threat is not needed. Others speculate that he wouldn't dare inform his parents that he'd been thrown into the bottom of a cold lake. "I personally think that he was too busy taking care of his sister." Says Dumbledore, the one responsible for putting said boy at the bottom of the lake. "However, I'd like to emphasize that he was told ahead of time that he was in no danger. All hostages were assured that they'd be completely fine." It has also been confirmed that the headmaster later assured Phoenix that her brother would not be involved in the tournament any further.

Phoenix was the first to both get to the hostages and get her own back to the platform, earning her a perfect score. "She swam faster than any mermaid I've ever seen." Says one of the Merpeople, translated by Edward McKnight. "She fought with her tail as if she was born of the water and would have been mistaken for a true mermaid if not for her wand." However, she was also the most wounded of the champions, the wounds on her large fin transferring to her legs when she went back to her normal body. It is unknown if the wounds would carry any longer than a day, though, because she was promptly taken care of by both School Nurse, Madam Pumfree, and her godfather, Professor Snape.

The other worried sister, Fleur, was frantic and had to be subdued when she failed to get to her little sister, Gabrielle. She'd also taken the task seriously and had to be restrained forcibly by her headmistress, Madame Maxine. "She was too worried to listen." Says the upset headmistress, no doubt extremely troubled after having to hold down one of her own students, making herself out to be the enemy. "I told her that Gabrielle was safe, but she did not hear."

But Gabrielle came up sooner than expected due to Harry Potter, who also took the task seriously. He was second to find the hostages but last to get back because he refused to leave the young witch at the bottom of the lake. The Merpeople, who had been told to keep the champions from taking more than just their own hostage, fought him every inch of the way to the surface. Nevertheless, he, his hostage Ron Weasley, and Fleur's little sister Gabrielle arrived safely. His show of determination and moral fiber earned him 45 out of 50 possible points, tying with Cedric Diggory for second place. Fleur was not available to comment as her first priority remained getting her sister into the Beauxbaton Carriage and into dry clothes.

Due to experiences with reporter Rita Skeeter twisting words and misquoting students to an extreme degree, no reporter was allowed any farther than the lake. "I always had a hunch that he had some giant in him and I doubt I was the only one." Says Cedric when asked his opinion on the latest article by Rika Skeeter exposing Professor Rubius Hagrid to be half-giant. "I mean, look at him. Never met someone that huge. But no one cares. Sure, the first-years get a little intimidated, but they get used to it. He's harmless. Skeeter doesn't care. She wants a story and doesn't care if it's uncalled for or not." The 7th year student wasn't the only one, either. When asked his opinion on the task he just completed, whether or not he took it personally that Harry Potter got there last yet tied for second place with him, he merely shrugged. "He got to the hostages before me. [He] took the egg-clue seriously, I reckon. Once you get down there, it's so eerie that you forget that the hostages are safe."

Upon being assured that his words would not be twisted, Headmaster Karkaroff of Drumstrang made a comment. "I do not believe it was necessary to bring hostages, but that task is tradition. Much like the first is to test daring in the face of the unknown, the second was to test determination to help a friend in need. Each headmaster was tasked with putting their school's hostage at the lake bottom. I shall probably be challenged to a duel by Victor for putting his friend at the bottom of a cold lake. It is how we solve our problems in our homeland." When asked his opinions of any after-effects in store for the other headmasters, he was less sure. "I do not know the other three champions well enough to say, however I'm pretty certain Madame Maxine will be getting a tongue-lashing in their native language considering young Gabrielle isn't a good swimmer. Angel [Phoenix], on the other hand, has hopefully calmed down from the initial shock of sensing her twin brother at the bottom of a lake."

It is uncertain if any interviews will be conducted in the future as reporter Rita Skeeter has likely given all at Hogwarts a negative experience, especially Phoenix Malfoy. It is highly possible that the long-lost Malfoy Head has learned to assume that all reporters will twist her words to make her out to sound like a helpless baby or a trouble-maker.

J.K Rowling

"Miss Rowling is likely to targeted next by Skeeter." Narcissa stated, sighing. She leaned back against the crook of her husband's arm.

Leo was sitting between them. Lucius's knee was raised and a book was propped up against it. Like his sister at that age, he was perfectly content to sit and read for hours on end. His elder sisters, Lyra and Lynx, took after their older brother and were enjoying themselves chasing gnomes in the garden with the house-elves, though the elves were taking it seriously while the twins were doing it for fun.

"Don't like that lady. Daemon says she is like a Death Eater, only cares about herself and not her effect on those around her." Leo chirped. "Diana says she's too scared to write about Phoenix now, though. Phoenix has dirt."

"Dirt?" Narcissa asked, assuming that it must be a code-word for something.

Leo nodded. "Phoenix caught her. Diana hasn't said what it is, though."

"My mistress has told the horrid woman that she wouldn't tell so long as the articles on her stopped." The orb that the voice came from was much like the orb that brought letters, expect that it didn't disappear and that a pair of red eyes were in the center. "However, that does not mean that I shall allow Leo anywhere near the woman or any other reporter."

"You're not supposed to call her 'mistress' Diana." Leo reminded, chuckling. He rolled slightly, lying on one of his father's legs. "Where's Daemon?"

"Though it is not as bad as it would have been had Aquila been the one taken captive… mistr – Diana is still extremely peeved. The poltergeist has already learned the hard way that she's not to be tested." The dark orb answered. "Because he is the only one strong enough to take a human-form, he has gone to warn the old man to keep his distance."

"Why are you not allowed to call her 'mistress'?" Lucius asked curiously.

"She does not agree with the act of owning anything that can think for itself, anything perceived as slavery. Thus she does not wish to be called 'mistress' or anything like that even though she's more than earned the title. In fact, her very name strikes fear into the heart of all Slavers on Obon. She feels being called 'mistress' lumps her in with the Death Eaters that kidnapped her and k – nearly killed her mother."

"Is it true what she did at the World Cup?" Narcissa asked. "Draco stated that she was with Hermione and her friends before saying that she was 'going to have some' fun before disappearing."

"Ah, yes." The orb stated, the grin evident in her voice. "It was a good thing that she had the distraction, too. Otherwise she would have probably wounded the boy. However, she was already low on power after raiding a military facility on Obon and freeing slaves. Daemon, myself, and several other demons were needed to give her power so that she could deflect all the killing-curses that were thrown at all those she was protecting."

"But none of them were ones that she recognized." Leo chirped. "If she sensed she knew any of them, then she would have called in the guys and given them a hunting-trip to remember."

Narcissa sighed, not at all approving of her baby boy speaking of killing as if it was a common thing. "Draco sent us a letter the night that he found out exactly who she was, telling us that she was weak after whatever she did."

"Weak? By his standards, my mistress still had the power of a god." She was obviously unwilling to refer to her as anything other than 'mistress' and probably only called her by her name when she was present to follow her wishes. "And by now, her power has mostly returned. Soon, I shall be strong enough to take my feline form and shall return to her side. Another demon shall watch over Leo and the others."

Leo chuckled, grinning slightly. "And she'll be back to biting everyone that doesn't show Phoenix the proper respect."

Lucius grinned. "Nothing wrong with that."

"Not just because she is of pure-blood." Diana stated knowingly. "In fact, if Leo hadn't wished to find his mother's grave, then Phoenix would have never known – or cared to know – what family she belonged to by birth. Most who find out regret ever wanting to know. The plan had been set that both she and Aquila would pose as Grangers, in fact."

"What does that muggle-family have…." Lucius stopped suddenly, his eyes widening. "Or are they?"

"Doesn't matter." Leo chirped happily. "Hermione loves her parents, as do all of those that were hidden in that orphanage. They all know they're pureblood and are fine going by muggle-born as if their adopted parents are their real parents. Hermione says she'll tell her uncle the truth once she's graduated. He's her only living family."

But he wouldn't say who. He looked so content to just lie there with them that Lucius gave up and decided that he didn't care. He had enough on his mind with his own newly-found children. He didn't need another kidnapped pureblood on his mind.

Kinda making Lucius a little OOC, I know. But in the movies and books, he doesn't have a daughter. Guys are usually more protective of their baby girls, right? Especially after already losing her once. Anyway, review. I go by reviews to know how popular the stories are because those are the people that actually CARE to give their opinions and help me be a better writer. So review and say hello or something. They make me wanna write more often.
