If you go back to Chapter two, you'll find two links to the new illustrations, I hope you look at them and like them.

"Miss Munro, I know you have been unwell for the past three weeks, but I feel that isn't a suitable excuse for not being able to cast these spells."

Please, Sir, I've read all of the theory, but Madam Wainscot wouldn't let me practice," I plead to my Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. I feel I am going to lose.

"Perhaps a detention will let you get practice in?" He asks me in a patronizing tone. He raises his eyebrows to me when I don't answer.

"Maybe," I mumble. I wish I was still unwell, then I wouldn't have to go to detention to practice stupid spells that I'm apparently meant to be able to do on the first try.

"Good, and Miss Weasley," he adds. Roxy and Lucy both look at each other, then to our Professor. "Roxanne Weasley, I mean," he adds. "Since you still have a withstanding detention to do, you can join Miss Munro tonight, seven o'clock, Professor Longbottom's room."

"Sorry?" I ask, certain I misheard him. "Professor Longbottom?"

"Yes, he has a few other students in detention tonight, I'm sure he won't mind two more."

I look to Roxy and shrug, maybe detention won't be so bad then.

~O~O~

I was right.

When we were told there was a few others, we didn't expect the whole class to be full of students. Students of all ages, doing different punishments. Professor Longbottom had to get Professor Finch-Fletchley to help him there were so many of us. I didn't know many people, apart from Fred, Hugo and Albus. Roxy and me gave them a look when they entered the greenhouse, they gave us a shrug and a guilty smile and got on with their detention. They finished their lines early so offered to help Roxy and me with out spells. Mainly as targets.

"Immobulis!" I shouted as Fred threw a stack of parchment into the air, some of them froze, others landed on Fred's head.

"So what did you's do to get into detention?" Roxy asked after she had successfully got Hugo to fall on the floor laughing.

"We may have been testing out some new products for Dad on Filtch," Fred explained with a falsely innocent tone.

"Dad got you to test products and not me?" Roxy asked, clearly angry.

"Yeah, well," Hugo said in between laughing. "You keep getting," another burst of laughter. "Detentions!" He finishes with a burst of laughter.

"Roxanne, could you stop Hugo from laughing, I don't want to have to call Filtch here to clean up a mess?" Professor Longbottom called over from his desk.

"Um, I don't know how to do that," Roxy said awkwardly. Professor Longbottom waved his wand at Hugo, he lay on the floor clutching his stomach.

"Thanks, Uncle Nev!" Roxy shouted over to him, giving him a quick gives him a thanks of a wave then lays on the floor taking deep breaths recovering from the laughter. I shake my head at Roxy and raise my wad to send a spell at Albus when Professor Longbottom tells us all our detentions are finished for today.

~O~O~

"How was detention?" Scorpius asks as Roxy and I walk down into the Common Room the next morning.

"Awful," I tell him and give him a quick kiss. He kisses me back then smiles and moves a stray strand of purple hair out of my face to behind my ear.

"What's with the purple?" He asks me as the three of us make our way up to the Great Hall.

"I'm going for something different," I smile then gather my straight pony tail and look at him. "Why? Don't you like it?"

"I love it, Lex," he laughs and kisses my cheek.

"Hurry up you two!" Roxy moans as she grabs my free hand and starts to run towards breakfast. I keep a hold of Scorpius, making him run with us.

"Want to go for a date tonight?" Scorpius asks me when we sit at the Slytherin table.

"Sorry, I can't tonight, I promised Lily weeks ago we'd train again," I said with a sad look. "Tomorrow?"

"Okay," he smiles as he pours milk into his cereal. "But promise you won't end up in hospital this time?"

"I promise," I giggle, wrapping my pinky finger with his.

~O~O~

"Twenty... Twenty one... Twenty two... Twenty three... Twenty four... Twenty five!" I lie back down on the floor of the Room of Requirement.

"Lex," Lily gasps, she lies next to me but much more exhausted than I am. "Do, do we have to do more?" She asks in one breath.

"Yes," I say strongly then stand up and gesture towards the running track. "Time for a run?" I ask.

"What?" Lily gasps, sitting up and looking at me like I grew six extra arms. "No way! Gimmie five minutes."

"Fine, "I sigh. "You'll just have to catch up with me," I give her a wave of my fingers and started to jog on the circular tar track. I glare at my side fringe moving as I move and give up putting up with it. I concentrate and let it grow and bring it back to tie with the rest of the purple hair.

After five minutes, I've run the track twice, Lily catches up with me a quarter of the way around and I slow down to match her pace.

"So," she huffs. "I never got the chance to ask," another huff. "Why did Caspian McMillan want to talk to you that day?" Huff.

"W- why do you want to know that?" I ask, trying to act casual. I hadn't spoken to Caspian since the day I told him I didn't actually hate him and ended up crying into him for a good five minutes. I also hadn't told anyone about it.

"I thought you didn't like him?" Huff.

"I don't."

"You don't like him?" Huff.

"No, I don't not like him."

"So you like him?" Huff.

"No," I trail.

"So you do like him?" Huff.

"No, you can not like someone and not dislike them at the same time."

"No you can't," Lily huffs in a sure tone. "You either like someone or you don't like them."

"That's not true."

"Yes it is!" Huff.

"So you like Caspian?" I look at her and laugh.

"Well, I've never really spoken to him," she says unsure."

"So you can't like him, because you don't know him, but he's not done anything to you, so you can't dislike him."

"I like him," she said stubbornly.

"Lily!" I gasped. "Think about Lorcan!"

"Shut up," she hissed.

"Never," I laughed.

"Last time we talked about Caspian you said you didn't like him. What happened?"

"N- nothing happened I just stopped disliking him," I told her.

'Not sure if you pulled that one off, Lex,' the voice said. I ignored it.

"And that same day, you said you were going to push me gently!" Lily glared at me.

"Lily, stop trying to look intimidating, it doesn't suit you," she frowned and looked at the track. "And that was months ago, you still want to make the team?"

"Yes." Huff.

"Then we shall run!" I raised my arms above my head and ran faster.

~O~O~

"Put your hand on your heart."

"Scorpius, this is stupid."

"Do it," Scorpius pleaded. We were standing in the entrance hall just after a rushed dinner. I had forgotten, although I wouldn't tell him, about my date with Scorpius. After training with Lily, I went for a shower to clean the sweat off me and clear Caspian out of my mind. It only half worked. Now, I wished I had remembered because I might have been able to wear something more flattering than skinny jeans and a blue, baggy hoodie.

I exhaled deeply and placed my hand on my heart. Under it, and under the hoodie, I could feel the top of a small bulge growing on my chest. I concentrated my skin and hair to keep the blush away, even though I could feel the heat in my cheeks. I was being stupid, I knew that, it was just my body.

"Now," Scorpius said. "Repeat after me."

I sighed again.

"I, say your name," He said. I smiled at his daftness.

"I, sa-"

"No! Don't repeat everything," he sighed. I giggled at him.

"I, Alexandria Munro."

"Loyal Slytherin."

"Loyal Slytherin."

"And loving girlfriend of one Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy."

"Your middle name is Hyperion?" I said quickly with a raised eyebrow.

"Lex!" Scorpius said in a fairly high pitched voice. I giggled and tried to remember the whole sentence.

"And loving girlfriend of one Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy."

"Swear on, say something you couldn't live without." I roll my eyes at him, he clearly didn't have this planned out very well.

"Swear on," I thought. What couldn't I live without? Robin? Well, she was gone and I was still here so that was out the window. Scorpius? No, too cheesy. Books? Gatbsy? Roxy?

Scorpius raised his eyebrows at me this time.

"Swear on, the memory of Robin Munro."

"That I won't end up in the Hospital Wing during this date." Scorpius said. "Or any date in fact!" He added quickly.

"That I won't end up in the Hospital Wing during this date. Or any date in fact." I added, mocking Scorpius with the same tone as him.

"I hate you," Scorpius smirked.

"And I hate you, too," I smiled then leaned up and kissed his mouth.

"Shall we go?" Scorpius asked me as he offered his hand. I take it and let our fingers lace between each other's.

"Where are we going?" I ask as we walk towards the doors leading outside.

"For a walk."

"A walk?"

"I wanted to get out of the castle," he shrugged.

Outside was cold, but all of the snow had melted away and there was a February breeze that made me no longer regret my hoodie. We wandered about the grounds in a comfortable silence. I huddled closer to him, trying to steal him heat.

"So," I said, looking up him. We were slowly walking towards the Quidditch pitch. "Your middle name," I smirked, trying to hide my smile.

"Hyperion is from Greek Mythology," he informed me as if he wished I hadn't brought it up. "He was one of the twelve Titans and he had kids with his sister."

"Good thing you don't have a sister," I laughed.

"That's gross, Lex," He said, but he was laughing too.

When we got to the pitch, Scorpius led me up the Slytherin stands and we sat down on the highest benches on the stand. I sit as close to him as possible without actually sitting on him, he wraps his arm around me to keep me warm. I'm starting to think he brought me this high just so I would be cold and he'd have to put his arm around me. I feel a light pressure on the side of my head, I realise it's Scorpius kissing my purple hair.

"Why do you hide your scars?" He asks me quietly, his forehead resting on my head where he kissed me.

"I woke up with no scars, so I didn't bother changing it back. When did they go?" I ask, looking around at him.

"I came to visit you the next day, before breakfast. Wainscot was really mad at me. They were gone then."

I'm about to tell him about hearing him crying at my bedside when I think about why he asked about my scars.

"Scorpius?" I ask.

'What are you doing?'

"Yeah?" He asks.

'What now?'

"Remember when we first met?"

"Yes?"

"Um," I say. "Remember when we were walking back from dinner?"

"Where are you going with this, Lex?" He asks me.

'Yes, where are you going with this'

"You hugged me w- when I told," I said before Scorpius cut me off.

"You're not the only one who had an abusive childhood," he says with a defeated sigh. I look up at him, he's looking off into the distance. I move so his arm isn't around me but I can look at him properly.

"Draco hit you?"

"No, not him, Grandfather, and he didn't technically hit me," he still didn't look at me.

"What did he do?" I almost whisper, I sound defeated too.

"Spells, hexes, curses."

"Oh, Scorpius," I'm crying. I can feel the hot tears slid down my cheeks.

"Do you know how much the Cruciatus Curse hurts?" He asks me, I think I hear humor in his voice. I shake my head even though he isn't looking at me. "A lot," he says, then turns to me. I can see his eyes are wetter than they were a minute ago, but no tears fall.

"I'm so sorry," I whisper then throw myself across him and wrap my arms around his neck, hugging him. I'm almost certain my hood is in his face, if it is, he doesn't do anything about it. He moves his arms around me and moves his face closer to my shoulder.

"It's fine, Lex, it was a long time ago. Dad found out, put a stop to it." I know he's telling the truth, he wouldn't lie about something like this.

~O~O~

When I get into the girls' dormitory, everyone's asleep. Neither Scorpius or I had realised how late it had gotten until well after curfew. Luckily it was a Friday so I didn't have to get Roxy up for school the next day. I got changed into three quarter length pajama trousers and a navy blue t-shirt that I think might have been James' that got bundled up with my school robes. It smells of him.

On my bed there are two notes, one folded, one unfolded. I look at them curiously as I pick up Gatsby from his bed and get into my own bed, he cuddles into me as I reach for the unfolded note.

'Some stupid owl kept tapping on the window and woke me up. You better be grateful that I let it in. And that note better be worth it.

Roxy'

I reach for the other one and unfold it.

AM -

I just remembered, you said you didn't like me, then last week you said you didn't dislike me.

I don't know about you, Alex, but I call that progress.

- CM

I glare at the note from Caspian then stop before I remember that he can't feel my glare through parchment.

'Least he didn't call you Lexy.'

I roll me eyes at the voice and lie down under my sheets and cuddle Gatsby.

So, what did you think?

Please review, it would mean a load to me if you did. Seriously, positives, negatives, throw 'em at me. As long as you have a reason for your negative if it's about me/my writing.

Hugs and Butterfly kisses!
