BookwormBri: I started fangiring when Manny showed up. 8) Finally, the plot is revealed! Hehe, no pressure, Guardians. XD Are there, like, an ever increasing number of nightmares, or is it still just however many were left at the end of the movie? Just curious. Anyway, enjoyed the chapter and am eagerly awaiting the next!
Well, he also appeared in earlier chapters. But being the mysterious guy he is, he don't tell all dat important crap. Xp As for the the Nightmares, they're multiplying due to the absence of the Guardians, so their kind is spreading faster…
MissShortieBrown: Bloody effin hell indeed. This went from a lighthearted humor/comfort to an all out war. You are truly a majestic writer.
Thank you so much for the compliment! *fans face from blushing* It means alot!
fantasyinfinity: Indeed on the bloody hell indeed. That's a real major shit's-about-to-go-down-now-so-beware-and-prepare-announcement. Well it was a good idea I guess for Manny to put them all there first so they learn to trust each other a bit more and all, but if they thought that being stuck down there was bad... darn, three days to save the world?! O.O *does the Hunger Games symbol thingy with my three fingers* I wish you luck, Guardians and Pitch, and Amara, I wish you luck.

~Chapter Twenty-Eight~
Sandy watches over North with concern, as he paces feverishly back and forth, muttering gibberish to himself. His friends also seemed on the verge of going into freak out panic mode, on the edge of their selves. Amara was still sleeping completely unaware of their anxiety. You know, since they only have three days to get out of the pit of darkness before the whole world itself actually plunges into eternal darkness…
The Guardians of Dreams then looks over to Pitch, who is only sitting completely still on a boulder, lost in thought. Sandy promptly walks over, and taps Pitch on the shoulder. Getting his attention, the Nightmare King glances down to the Sandman, his expression in a perplexed frown. Sandy crosses his arm, raising an eyebrow his expression reading, You don't seem very worried do you?
As if Pitch could understand his silent facial expression he says to him, "Oh believe me Sanderson, I'm starting to feel on edge as well…" His brows furrow even harder, as if he were thinking about something important, but not so sure to bring it out.
Sandy tugs on his arm hard, forming a demanding pout on his face.
"Well...maybe I have something in mind...though I'm not sure whether or not if it's a good idea or if it even still exists…"
When Pitch states this, the Guardians' attention immediately turns on him. Jack flies over to Pitch in a flash, grabbing him by the shoulders. "FREAKING PITCH WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING EARLIER?!" He shrieks, swinging the bewildered boogeyman back and forth like a rag doll. Pitch smacks the beserk silver hair boy off him.
"Get off me you crazy fool!" He scowls, managing to shove him off himself.
North presses forward, "Look Pitch, we have no ideas right now. We need anything we could get."
"Not to mention we only have three bloody days to probably save the world!" Bunny adds in anxiously.
Pitch studies his strange companions for a moment. Then he finally he says, "I think I do have something. You see," The Nightmare King looks off into the darkness of his lair, nibblings his nails in anticipation. "My lair is typically a place of banishment. Anything considered "dark" was sent down here."
"Why?" asks Tooth.
"Well, I suppose it is the optimal choice for containing these dark magical objects." Pitch replies. He starts walking up and down getting more worked up as he explains whatever was on his mind. "So some of these magical objects are very ancient and powerful things that even spirits can't tamper with…"
"No offense, but why would Manny just send these "magical old things" down here if you can use them?" Jack interrupts.
Pitch frowns at him, cross. He says sharply, "Jack, I may be a megalomaniac and fantastic bastard, but I'm not stupid."
"I thought otherwise…"
"I heard that."
"..."
"Anyway, like I said, I'm a smart and sensible spirit like any of you. These objects are things that are best not to be messed with, so I just let them sit in my lair." Pitch explains.
"But, what does that lead up to, Pitch? How does this play with your idea?" North questions.
Pitch seems to consider what he was going to say next. "Some of these objects trace back thousands of years ago. One of these subjects as such is...Pandora's Jar."
"Don't you mean box?" Bunny suggests.
Pitch sneers, rolling his eyes. "Really, what is up with people calling it a box? I suppose it gives the title a more dramatic flair, but jar is more accurate." Pitch clicks his teeth, shaking his head as if it weren't worth explaining it. "But as I said, among these many ancient objects is the Pandora's Jar…"
"Box." Bunny and Jack mutter under their breath. Pitch could simply just glare in annoyance at them.
A shocked expression takes over Sandy's face, his eyebrows reaching the peak of his head. His head swivels back and forth like a loose screw on his neck, his mouth agape in utter disbelief. Pitch shrugs saying, "It does sound impossible, but the Jar does still exist...ironically, it's our Hope. For Hope is still contained in that Jar…"
"Exactly what does this Jar do?" Tooth inquires, absolutely intrigued by this new information.
The Nightmare King turns to the Tooth Fairy, an informative look on his face. "Like all of you either know or heard, Pandora's Jar originated from Greek origins and myths. It has the ability to contain things such as Greed, Lust, or Jealousy. Icky things like that." His nose noticeably wrinkles up in disdain. "A jar as powerful to contain those things, it also has the capacity to contain other things…"
"Wait!" North exclaims, his blue eyes lighting up. "Are you saying Pitch-that this Jar will be able to contain anything?! Including the Nightmares?!"
"All ten thousand of them." Pitch confirms.
The Guardians rejoice and whoop at this. Out of the corner of Sandy's eye, however, Pitch seemed to mutter something. It seemed as if he said, "...Comes at a price…" A flicker of doubt worms its way through Sandy's thinking, though he brushed it off. He shouldn't crush everybody's hope, it was his friends' real lead at doing something to fight against the Nightmares!
"So what are we waiting for?!" Jack shouts, flying on top of a boulder. He pumps his fist in the air yelling, "Where is that thing boogerman?!"
Pitch glances down, his brow coming together in hesitation and uncertainty. Jack's elated expression darkens and he says, "Oh no, what's the catch?"
The pale faced brunette glances off to the side. "You see...I don't exactly know where it is." He admits sheepishly.
"Whhhaaaaaaaat?!"
"Sorry." Pitch shrugs. "I shouldn't had brought up such a flimsy chance of hope for the all of you." He states, looking glum with his lowered shoulders and unstraightened posture. Sandy nods sympathetically, shrugging as if to say, At least you told us something.
North begins stroking his beard, deep in thought. "Yes...now that you brought this up Pitch, memories come to mind." He glances momentarily over to Amara, his friends practically seeing the gears turning in his head. "Yes...yes...the scriptures!" He starts madly stroking his beard, getting more excited by whatever is in his mind.
"Tell us!" Bunny demands, anxious.
North turns to the group, his eyes twinkling with a glint of dare and adventure. "Friends," He announces, his chest puffed off. "I believe that I have a solution. And it lies in the hands," North faces Amara, hovering over her, determination and fierce hope etched in his warm wrinkled face. "Of Amara."
"You gotta be kidding me!" Jack looks incredulously at Amara, who is currently chewing on her bag, slobber all over her face. "Welp, we're doomed." He says decidedly after seeing that sigh. Tooth gives him a proper up smack on the head.
"No, no we're not Jack!" North says, almost scolding him. "Amara is our hope-she is pratically hope right now! This is what I recall from my studies," Nicholas crosses his arms across his chest, frowning in his mind process. "Hope is the only thing in the Jar, is it not?"
Pitch nods. "Correct."
"The only way to find it, is using a child's hope! Like some kind of, erm, detector!" The silver bushy haired man, jumps up at this statement, awe-inspired. "Yes, that is the case! Amara needs to have hope in her!"
"My specialty!" Bunny grins. But it falters with him slouching. "Well, hell, I have no way to make the sheile hope if she doesn't even believe in me."
After listening to this, Tooth walks over to the sleeping Amara. Nostalgia waves through her face, seeing a sleeping peaceful child.
"I can help." She declares to the rest. "I can give her memories of hope. And hopefully, it'll play a part in her belief in you Bunny." Tooth says to Bunnymund.
"Before she wakes up, I need to give her a gift. For her tooth." Toothiana holds out the lone tooth (still speckled with some blood), in her creamy white palm. The others raises their eyebrows in surprise. "Woah, you still have that bloody tooth? I mean, I'm not joking, it's literally bloody." Bunny points out.
Tooth ignores this, kneeling down to the sleeping Amara. "I can't give you money, gifts, or treasures for your tooth," She says to Amara, despite that fact she couldn't even hear her. "But…" The Tooth Fairy closes her eyes, cupping the tooth in her hand, pressing it against the fiery red's head. "I can give you the gift of memory."
A glowing light takes up Tooth's face, washing over Amara. "I give you the memory of your hopes."
A/N: Yeah mean, I just added all KINDS OF PLOT TWISTS! XD
