Chapter 29: Like Candy from a Baby

(5 weeks after the destruction of Namek)

Captain Ginyu gingerly opened his eyes, the dim artificial lighting of the room seeming through the dark green liquid seemed especially bright for some reason. He tried to remember where he was and how he had gotten there. Slowly it came back to him, Vegeta not just him though his body guard had helped too. Somehow those two miserable monkeys had managed to get the best of him, Captain Ginyu, right hand man to the rightful ruler of the galaxy, Frieza himself.

As the solution finished draining the leader of the Ginyu Force popped the door open and hopped out. Stretching his unusually sore body. "Man, those Saiyans really did a number on me." He muttered to himself as a question entered his mind. 'How'd I survive?' He couldn't answer it immediately. The last he had heard his men had died in their fight against the Saiyans and Frieza was busy finishing the preparations for his wish.

'Did the Saiyans bring me here?' He asked himself as he looked around the room he was in for the first time. Noticing it seemed to be a fairly advanced hospital probably at least a level 2 or even higher.

All along the walls were other healing tanks several of which appeared to be full. Looking closer the Captain came to a surprising realization, three of the tanks were occupied by his men. Somehow they had survived like he had. It was almost too good to be true. He wasted no time rushing to their tanks to check their vitals. He could only think of one way it was possible, obviously one of his men had the forethought to fake their own death and rescue the others from death afterwards. Whoever had had that insight would be commended personally by him.

After confirming all three were stable, and their timers almost at 0, we went ahead and started the manual drain on all three. "All right you lazy asses time to get up! I want a full report on what happened at Namek!" He ordered while pulling the doors open on all three tanks.

The members of one of the galaxies most feared fighting forces moaned and groaned as they struggled to open their eyes and shake off the unusual grogginess that was weighing them down. Finally though all three were out and standing at attention barely able to hold back their emotions at being reunited with their Captain.

"At ease men." Ginyu said with a proud smile. "Now then how about one of you brief me on what happen on Namek."

Cooler watched the group catch back up from a monitor in his ship's throne room. He could immediately tell when Jeice, the one who had been filling in his body snatcher in on what had happened, mentioned what planet they currently were on. The Frost Demon could almost taste the disgust that Ginyu radiated on finding out, which only made what he was about to do even sweeter.

"Salza, fetch me the mic, let's have a quick roll call." Cooler said with a slight smile on his face as he accented second in command rushed to follow his orders.

Jeice had just finished his retelling of the story, and Ginyu was about to order his men to get off of this planet as fast as possible when a message sounded over the pa system sending chills up their spines, it was Cooler. "Attention Ginyu Force I would like to speak with you in my throne room immediately." his refined voice sounded over the system.

Ginyu glared at Jeice and Burter for a moment before taking a deep breath and beginning to make his way to his indirect superior's throne room. 'The sooner I get this over with the better.' He thought to himself.

It only took a few minutes for the four fighters to find their way through the large base as it was the standard lay out they had seen a thousand times before.

They waited kneeling, facing the back of coolers throne like that had Frieza's so many time before. "Lord Cooler we've come like you've summoned." Ginyu managed, barely keeping his hatred from his voice.

"Ah very good. I see you are at least being more civil than the last time we met." Cooler taunted refusing to turn his throne to face them. "Anyway I did not call you here to mock you. At least that was not the only reason I called you here." Cooler said being very open about the level of disdain he held for them.

Ginyu and the others bit their tongues barely able to keep control of their pride and avoid speaking out.

"Anyway. I've received information stating you and my brother went to a backwater world called Namek. Care to share what was so important about the world to warrant not only my brother's shock troops but the prick himself going there?"

This time Ginyu couldn't refrain from letting a low growl escape. He chastised himself for showing weakness and tried to give an answer. "You'll have to ask your brother. I'm not at liberty to say...sire" he added the last word with as much sarcasm as he could manage.

He was rewarded with Cooler turning his throne around. In his mind Ginyu cheered that he had finally landed a verbal blow to the man he hated above all others in the universe.

His internal celebrations were cut short when he saw Cooler's face though. Instead of a snarl of rage, or a frown of disapproval, Cooler was smiling at him. As if Ginyu's defiance was the mistake he needed to deliver the verbal death blow to their long standing game.

"I cannot ask my brother." Cooler started, pausing just slightly to let the tension build. "You see after you, my brother's de facto personal body guards fled the planet, it seems my brother was mortally wounded."

Ginyu and his men went slack jawed with disbelief. "No...That's not possible." Ginyu muttered his eyes wide. "The monkeys weren't nearly strong enough. And even if they somehow were...his transformations..." Ginyu continued to mutter.

Cooler was enjoying the look of shock on their faces. "Yes my brother's laziness and overconfidence finally appears to have come back to haunt him." Cooler smirk was maddening to Ginyu. "I heard the entire planet was destroyed after the fight was over."

"Then we have to hurry and find him Frieza's still alive. He must've been in trouble and-" Ginyu started to say, his men were still too shocked to process the information.

"Don't worry my brother was found. At least what was left of him." Cooler continued extracting every bit of delicious agony from the abomination. Although he didn't generally revel in torturing his victims like his brother did, this freak was the one exception.

"So since my brother is dead, you can understand my curiosity as to how this tragedy happened." Cooler's tone had returned closer to that of his normal talking voice. He wasn't done with his fun, but this was something he definitely wanted to know.

"I...I don't know... Vegeta had gotten strong but he wasn't even strong enough to beat me. His bodyguard got me with a surprise attack. Somehow he was almost as strong as Vegeta." Ginyu explained his mind on the past instead of who he was talking too. "There should've been no way they could've beaten Lord Frieza...unless..." It wasn't something he had wanted to consider, if it was true then it meant that Frieza's death would be his fault.

"Yes…?" Cooler asked impatiently.

Jeice spoke up before Ginyu was able to, "Capt'n there was another fighter there. I...I don't know if he was strong enough to beat Lord Frieza…" Jeice paused for a moment as Burter took over. "But he shrugged off me and Jeice's combined attack like it was nothing. I've never seen anything like it." Burter admitted.

"This other fighter, was he a Saiyan?" Cooler's interest clearly piqued now.

"I...I don't know. He looked like one, but so did the others." Burter started.

"He didn't have a tail like a Saiyan does, but his eyes and his hair looked like that of a Saiyan." Jeice added.

Recoome who had so far been quite in all of this discussion suddenly spoke up. "You don't think it was that uh… Something Saiyan do you?" Everyone looked at Recoome a moment trying to figure out what he was implying.

Cooler was the first to figure it out, "A Super Saiyan?" His eyes went wide, the warning of his ancestor, passed down through half a dozen generations suddenly rang in his mind. It seemed the legend may have actually been true, if there was a Saiyan like being capable of defeating his brother. Though more than likely the overconfident fool simply refused to transform until too late and had to resort to blowing up the planet in a desperate attempt to save his sorry skin.

"Wait but isn't that just a monkey legend?" Ginyu responded unconvinced, though in his heart he was hoping it was true. If it was then his failure to guard the dragon balls wasn't the reason his Lord died.

"Not just the Monkeys had their legends about the Super Saiyan." Cooler responded, though not willing to go into more information than that at the moment. "And if multiple races share the same legends there must be some sort of source." He reasoned.

"Do you really think so?" Burter muttered out loud.

"Who knows?" Cooler responded flippantly "At least whatever he was, he appears of have died in the planet's explosion as well." Cooler's tone seemingly disinterested again.

"Is that all you needed from us?" Ginyu responded equally hostile on the outside, though on the inside he was just glad there was another explanation besides his own failure being the reason for Frieza's death.

"No." Cooler's face twisted into a sadistic smirk. "Actually I have some new missions to assign to your schedule." Cooler's smile shown with how much he was enjoying the surprised looks on the group's faces.

"You can't add missions to our contract with Frieza, we're mercenaries we-" Ginyu was cut off immediately.

"Oh you see I can assign any missions I want to your schedules. You see with my brother's demise, and my father's lazy attitude when it comes to ruling out empire, I can lay claim to all of my brother's old holdings with impunity." Cooler was relishing the shocked looks on their faces, "Which means you lot, work for me now. I'll even let you be my JV team if you like. I would certainly help lighten my Armored Squadron's workload."

Every muscle in Ginyu's body clenched as if an agonizing electrical current was running through his system. His rage was reaching heights it hadn't in years, no decades. "And what the hell happened to me being an abomination huh! You egotistical prick! You think I would work for you even for a second, well that's out of the question. WE CHOOSE WHO WE WORK FOR! YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE!" Ginyu shouted at the top of his lungs, his men backing away as their leader called all the might in his body preparing for his attack.

Cooler though knew exactly what was about to happen, sitting back, not even bothering to do anything about the upcoming attack. He wanted to see Ginyu crushed completely like the vermin he was. He could barely keep his smile from showing as Ginyu latched a telekinetic grip onto him. Cooler could escape the mental shackles as easily as he could lift his arm, but he chose not to, he had complete faith in his years of research on the topic.

"You're body's mine now you fool! CHANGE!" Ginyu shouted dramatically, expecting to be caressed with the familiar feeling of pulling his own soul from his body.

Nothing happened.

Ginyu stared at the frost demon with a look of disbelief, he should be looking at his old body now, not his new one. Something was wrong, seriously wrong, and whatever it was likely just cost him his life.

"Can't use your ability Body-snatcher?" Cooler cooed from above sending shivers down his spine. "Let me see if I can help loosen your soul up." Cooler announced before instantly imbedding his fist into Ginyu gut, a spray of blood and saliva was flung into the air as the horned alien staggered backwards. His arms wrapped tightly around the indent as if it would lessen the pain that was wracking his body. Finally he fell to his knees, unable to even support himself any longer.

None of the other members of the Ginyu force could move, their paralysis a mixture of shock at their commander's actions and fear of the Frost Demon's might.

"You really should be thanking me Ginyu, for the first time in your miserable life you're not a freak of nature, thanks to a little surgery I had performed on you while you were out. Finally your usefulness outweighs your liability. Being the gracious ruler that I am, I am even willing to forgive your treasonous actions a moment ago. Let us leave bygones as bygones and forge a new mutually benefiting arrangement. I let you live, and you help me increase our production." Cooler finished.

"I...I…" Ginyu could only see rage, he had never been this angry before, the sane part of his mind tried to keep himself from doing something he would regret. His body had been violated, which to him didn't mean as much as most people since this wasn't the body he was born with to begin with, but more than that, his soul was now trapped forever in this body. Sure it was the most powerful body he had captured in his 70 years of body snatching and he had many memories with this one. But after so long of moving from body to body the idea of being trapped in the same body for the rest of his life was horrifying to him.

He knew he was no match for Cooler though, and that was finally enough for the fear for his life to outweigh his rage. Finally clenching his fist so hard that his hand began to bleed, he slowly got into a kneeling position, head down absolutely silent. "Fine, we'll serve you for the duration of the contract we had with Frieza, Lord Cooler" Ginyu finally conceded, though he swore he would never sign a contract with the any faction of the Planet Trade.

The other three members of the Ginyu Force looked at their commander, shocked that that was the end of his resistance. Ginyu gave them a glare a moment later, and each got the message immediately and followed their leader's lead.

Cooler smiled at his victory, though it wasn't quite as sweet as he had envisaged, he was glad to have gained a useful tool in furthering his agenda. "Salza, please have the mechanics prepare for the Ginyu Force's immediate departure, I am sure they are eager to begin their missions." Cooler ordered his second in command who had been waiting just behind his throne. The blue skinned alien quickly saluted and left, beginning to lead the newly commandeered commandos from the room.

"Oh Before I forget, there was one part of your response that I want to make sure we have corrected." The entire group came to a stop, as Ginyu began to get a bad feeling in his still aching gut. "You see I am not interested in just taking on my Brother's contract with you. You now work for the Planet Trade Organization exclusively." Cooler said his voice icy, showing there would be no room for discussion on the subject.

Ginyu's entire body began to shake with rage as his freedom was constricted even more. Sure they were essentially members of Frieza's arm of the Planet Trade already. They had even used a planet Frieza wanted protected as their home base, but there had always been the option to leave and take other jobs. The handsome pay that Frieza provided the group though left them with little need to search out additional work though, it was more the principal of the matter that they respected the most. Now though that choice was robbed from them. Ginyu turned around slowly, wanting nothing more than to crush the smirking Frost Demon's skull with his own bare hands. He knew it was useless though. Cooler had intended to break him completely with these ultimatums. It was best to appear to finally break, it would only get worse from here if he didn't he reasoned. "As you wish Lord Cooler." He said with a bow, somehow managing to keep his sarcasm from his voice, though he had hidden it with the venom he felt. "Anything else, sire." He felt sick saying that last word.

"No, nothing more than that for now. When I think of a fitting new name for the squadron I will let you know." Cooler added watching Ginyu squirm on the inside, he planned on continuing to up the ante until Ginyu had truly broken.

Ginyu took the nearly fatal blow to his pride in stride and hurried out of the room lest his life get even worse. He was beginning to sympathize with how the Saiyans must've felt as Lord Frieza's 'favorites' for so many years.

After the group had left the room Dore spoke up, "But Sire, I don't understand, the report said Frieza wasn't dead just gravely injured? Isn't he going to be mad that you're taking his territory?" The brute of his squadron asked.

"Exactly Dore, and once my father's favorite arrives to settle the score, I can finally end his life and with it the game my father has been playing with us for the last 50 years." Cooler said his voice changing from anticipation to disgust as he went along.

"Oh...ok I think I get it." Dore lied.

"I know you don't. But that is ok Dore, you don't need to." Cooler said as he seated himself back on his throne, staring off into the endless void beyond his window. 'Yes finally the game will end and I will achieve my rightful spot as the crowned prince, finally I will have the respect I deserve.' Cooler thought back through the last five decades, the battles he had fought, the siblings he had killed with his own hands, the alliances, the treachery, the utter chaos, and for what? So his Father could honor some long standing tradition of their people. Though he had to admit, it had forged him into the warrior he was today, he just wasn't sure if he would keep with the tradition when his time came. 'Just two more obstacles left, and soon I will rule everything.' He thought with a slight chuckle, before breaking into full blown laughter, victory would be his.

(4 months after the destruction of Namek)

To say that Chi Chi was excited for this afternoon would be an understatement. Finally the longing of her heart would be a thing of the past, her family would finally be reconciled and she could begin to undo whatever damage Goku's nefarious brother had done to her sweet son.

She finished her morning routine and immediately took to the air. She could get to West city much faster flying herself than waiting for her father's slow air car.

It was only a 30 minute flight for her. Although she was anxious to get her family back together she knew hurrying in her flight wouldn't get them back any sooner. The dragon balls wouldn't become active again for another hour at least, she couldn't resist going early there, just in case.

As she made her way across the planet, her mind inadvertently picked up other power levels rising as several others of the Earth's defenders took flight on their way to West city. In the distance there were also three large power levels, evidently too busy training to have even remembered what today was. She did find it odd that the Saiyans had chosen to be so far away from what had essentially been their home base in West City today. Though she was glad they weren't going to be around, even though Nappa had saved her life in the fight against Frieza, she had a hard time looking at either of them without rage building up within her. Ultimately they were much more similar to the villain who stole her son than to her loving husband.

She pushed the unpleasant thoughts from her mind and continued on her way, today was going to be a great day for her family she was sure of it.

"Hey Vegeta, are you sure you don't want to steal the dragon balls and just wish ourselves Super Saiyans?" Nappa asked dodging a powerful blow from his superior.

"I already told you, if the low-class disgrace of a Saiyan can do it himself, then I the Prince of all Saiyans should be able to too!" He responded angrily before firing a blast at the slightly stronger Giant.

Nappa easily deflected the beam and launched high into the air, knowing this was one of Vegeta's favorite tactics for getting behind him.

True enough Vegeta appeared just behind where he had been standing, grimacing angrily as his fist passed through Nappa's after image.

"Anyway I get it Vegeta. To be honest I figured you'd want to do it yourself, I just didn't want to hear you moping if it takes too long." Nappa taunted him as if he was a child again before bursting into a booming laugh.

Vegeta's fist tightened, ever since Nappa had come back from the dead with a Zenkai that put him well above Vegeta's level the Saiyan General's ego had been relentless. Even now that Vegeta had managed to close most of the gap Nappa still had the courage to taunt him. Vegeta's pride had had enough of that though, it was already reaching its breaking point.

As his bodyguard took a breath to begin laughing again Vegeta phased in front of him and, after channeling as much strength as he could into a blow, sent his bodyguard flying straight into a mountain.

"That'll teach that oaf." Vegeta muttered to himself as he awaited his sparring partner's reemergence.

Piccolo too had taken his training up a notch. Using multiform two Piccolos floated next to one another, legs crossed seemingly meditating, beads of sweat building on each of their brows as a titanic struggle continued. For the last 3 days and nights the two Piccolo's battled mentally, one focusing all of their strength into pushing the pair back towards the Earth, the other attempted to launch them both high into the sky. So far neither had been able to make the other budge from their starting place at 2 meters above the ground.

In addition to training though, a different form of mental battle was taking place inside of Piccolo's mind as the former son of the Demon King wrestled with himself, trying to sort out what were his own thoughts and what were the influences of Nail, the other half of the being that he was now.

A low growl emanated from both Piccolos in unison, a verbal indication of the sense of lost identity the Namekian warrior was feeling. Torn between his life of training to conquer the world and a new simpler desire to be near his kin, living a simpler life as a guardian.

Every decision he made had to be monitored, until he was sure who he really was. Even deciding on a spot for his training had proven more difficult than necessary. Finally he had compromised between the conflicting desires in his mind and had chosen a valley halfway between west city where the Namekians were gathered with his former students, and the northern wasteland he used to prefer.

(1 hour later)

The defenders of Earth had mostly gathered, each wanting to see the Namekian Dragon they had heard so much about.

None were more anxious for the dragon's appearance than Chi Chi and Tien. The later of whom's life back home with Launch just didn't feel the same without his best friend Chiaotzu there to train with him. But today he hoped that missing part of his life would end and things could finally resume the peaceful state of the past.

The dragon balls suddenly activated, their stone shells melting away revealing the massive orange orbs underneath

Elder Tsuno the eldest Namek present, and chosen successor of the great Guru who had ultimately passed on again the same day their people were brought to this strange new world, stepped forward. He was a bit nervous as this was the first time he himself would be summoning the legendary Porunga.

Taking a deep breath and calming himself he said the words, "Oh great Porunga! Come forth, I summon thee!" In Namekian as the 7 balls began to glow.

The sky began to darken almost immediately as a brilliant light shot forth. The entire group watched in awe as the green behemoth took form.

"I am the Eternal Dragon, speak and I will grant your first wish." Porguna's voice boomed across the city.

"Who wants to go first?" Elder Tsuno asked Tien and Chi Chi. As the mother stepped forth. "Let's bring Goku back first. I want my baby boy's whole family here to greet him when he gets back." She said definitively. She had been thinking about the order she should bring her loved ones back since it appeared Goku was going to stay missing. This was the best situation she could come up with.

The Namekian elder nodded his head and made the wish in his native tongue. Porunga's red eyes glowed brightly for a moment as he bellowed "it shall be done."

Nothing happened.

Everyone looked around and Goku was nowhere to be seen. "It seems I cannot bring the one known as Goku back. He is refusing to come." It stated as the air was forced from Chi Chi's lungs as if she had been punched by Frieza himself.

"Wha...wha..." She tried to say. She couldn't understand what was happening. Her husband was abandoning her, after everything they had been through. The only reason she hadn't completely collapsed was there was something else she needed done, with or without her no good runaway husband.

A voice suddenly broke into the minds of all those gathered. "Hey everyone great news!" King Kai boomed out, "I've finally made contact with Goku!" He immediately regretted it as a powerful mental pressure of pure rage bore down on the blue deity.

"AND JUST WHY WOULD I WANT TO HEAR FROM HIM!" A massive aura surrounding Chi Chi like an erupting volcano, she looked like she was ready to destroy the entire galaxy just to take Goku out.

"Ahh, Chi Chi?" King Kai couldn't understand why she was angry. "I'm just trying to pass on a message from Goku about why he can't come back yet. He says it is really important towards finding Gohan."

That got everyone's attention, especially Chi Chi who stopped her rampage before it could be fully unleashed. "Wait what?" Her aura completely evaporating.

"Yes he says he is in the middle of learning a technique that will let him find Gohan in no time. He says he was planning on surprising you by showing up with Gohan one day and that he didn't think the eternal dragon would be summoned again so quickly." King Kai hurriedly explained.

Chi Chi let out a sigh of relief, "Well tell him to just let the dragon bring him back, we're about to wish Gohan home right now." She ordered, though her tone was much more civil than it had been previously.

King Kai returned a moment later after relaying the information. "Uh Goku is asking you to not wish Gohan back yet. He says it would be a waste of a wish because he'll be able to find him in no time with his new technique, and as soon as he finds Gohan he'll make it home no problem. He just has to master it…. Really Goku are you sure about this? What technique are you learning?" King Kai suddenly veered off his explanation curious as to what his student had been up to while out of his watchful sight.

"A secret? Oh I know what it is you're on Yardrat, I see it now." King Kai responded back after a moment, as the people of Earth began to feel left out.

"Hey what are you two talking about!" Chi Chi yelled at the sky.

"Do you have a different first wish or not." Porunga suddenly shook the landscape with his query.

"Uh Chi Chi, do you mind if I go ahead and wish Chiaotzu back while you and Goku continue your discussion?" Tien suddenly asked, his impatience finally getting the better of him.

"Fine whatever, bring the bald guy back too I guess Goku is roughing it home. Just leave me a wish." Chi Chi waved him off before getting back to more important matters, like her husband actually having the gall to tell her to delay wishing their son back.

"You hear that guys? I'm going home!" Krillin shouted at the top of his lungs, excitement overflowing him.

"Yay!" Chiaotzu yelled excited for the friend he had spent so much time with recently.

"Hey I know, you still owe me for our last fight. I'm pulling that favor, I get to go first." Krillin said with a sly grin as Chiaotzu let out a sigh of defeat. He was the one to suggest the bet the last time they fought.

"Oh well, we're both going back right now anyway so it doesn't matter." Chiaotzu said as King Kai relayed the information.

"And just why would I do that Goku?" Her tone was icy as she returned her attention skyward.

King Kai had a tough time giving his transfer of the message the same effect but he tried his best.

This time Goku's voice was what responded, "Chi it's me. Look I know you just want Gohan back as soon as possible I do too." He started his voice dropping at the end. "But something has been nagging me since the fight with Frieza...no since before that..." Chi Chi had never heard Goku's voice sound so down, so unlike the boy she fell in love with. It was downright disturbing for her.

Before Chi Chi could fully process his tone, let alone how he was talking to her himself, he continued, "I can't help but feel like I've failed Gohan, and you, I've failed you both in the most important fights of my life. When you were really counting on me I let you both down." He said referring to both the fight against Raditz and the more recent battle against Frieza.

"I...I just feel like I have to do this. I have to be the one to bring Gohan back, to let him know I will never let him down again." He explained as the Dragon's voice echoed in the background. "It shall be done." Cheers then erupted in the background as Krillin was revived.

But Chi Chi couldn't worry about that at the moment, she needed to decide what to do. Every fiber of her being wanted nothing more than to reunite her entire family in one go, today. But at the same time, there was something seriously wrong with her husband. For seemingly the first time in his life he was allowing self-doubt to eat away at him. In her heart she knew that was not something she could allow to fester. Her body and mind seemed frozen torn, between two titanic forces, her love for her husband and her love for her son.

"Elder Tsuno." Chi Chi finally said.

"Yes?" The Elder Namek asked.

"If we didn't use one of the wishes now, could we summon the dragon again at any time to use it then?" She asked, her voice trembling with fear that she might be making the wrong decision.

"If only two of the three wishes are used it would take 80 days before the dragon could be summoned again." Elder Tsuno responded, knowing it wasn't the answer that Chi Chi had been hoping for.

Chi Chi seemed to freeze again, her mind at war with itself. She finally decided she needed her son back and- "Chi Chi, I know I don't have the right to ask this of you but please. Give me this one chance, I promise you I will bring Gohan back." Goku pleaded one last time.

Chi Chi grit her teeth, clenched her fists and looked like she was about to explode as her mind's battle flared back to life. Finally she spoke. "I'm sorry Goku but-" the rest of her sentence was cut off as Porunga suddenly straightened up and whipped around facing away from the ground. It happened so fast she could barely believe her eyes as the massive dragon reached out its arms and caught something, something truly massive. It was red hot seemingly from the heat of reentry and moving with the speed of a shooting star.

No one could move for a moment as the force of the giant object forced the massive dragon back, as it struggled to gain control. Its scaly lithe body cutting through buildings as it was forced backwards out of the city entirely it seemed.

Finally the dragon brought the massive object to a stop. The Z fighters, and the other defenders of the Earth stood still too shocked to move. Porunga lifted it up one final time as if to chuck it away, then it stopped. Something was wrong everyone suddenly felt several power levels flaring to life in the distance, not insignificant power levels either. Whoever they were, the group couldn't help but feel like they were trouble.

"Hey we need to get over there and-" Chi Chi started to say when the Dragon suddenly boomed its all too familiar catchphrase "It shall be done". A sense of shock shook everyone standing there. It shouldn't be possible for whoever was over there to make a wish with Porunga, the dragon only accepted wishes made in Namekian, it defied all logic. A moment later one of the already sizable power levels shot up, actually doubling in power.

No more words were needed, all of the fighters there were suddenly surrounded in their white auras and in the air launching across the city hoping to protect their final wish.

They crossed the city in a matter of seconds, Chi Chi leading the way, her Kaioken powered all the way up to a times twenty, a feat she had just recently mastered. Immediately she noticed a blue skinned alien trying desperately to intercept her. It was as if he was moving in slow motion. A simple kick was all it took to eliminate the pest from her path.

Just a few more feet and she would be there, she could stop... 'A Namekian!' She shouted inside her mind, astounded, even though that was the only solution that would've made sense to begin with.

Then she heard it again, the sound that would haunt her for months, "It shall be done." The stout Namekian floating in front of Porunga face turned to give her a smirk of victory just as he was enveloped in a bright red light.

Chi Chi came to a complete stop, her eyes widening with fear as the once manageably strong newcomer's power suddenly skyrocketed to levels she hadn't felt since the fight between her husband and Frieza. It was downright terrifying.

A laughter filled with malice echoed throughout the city as the power continued rise before finally leveling out at a level she hadn't felt since her husband's fight against Frieza. The thought of another being that strong was downright terrifying, not just to her but to the other fighters formed up around her.

She didn't know who this fighter was, she only knew that what supposed to be the one of the happiest days of her life, might just end up as her last.

Nicely done with the update really wish Gohan put some fear into pyro

He might at some point. There is a bit of a power difference right now. Gohan with his rage is in the 4000 range, Pyros is closer to an order of magnitude higher at 37,000.

Don't listen to anyone when it comes to pairings, It's an insult to the original work to break up a cannon pairing to replace one of the members with an OC.

Now this chapter was a little odd, but I did really like it.

Now looking at the backstory you came up with for the saiyan, and the fact that according to the dragon ball Online game, story approved toriyama so practically cannon, in just 200 years there will be "enough" sayian influence that all human characters can go Super Sayian...now that being IMPOSSIBLE by evolution, my brain is thinking that humans might just be descended from sayians who long ago lost both their tails and the Zenkai, or got a much weaker version of it.

Yeah I plan on just continuing to do my own thing with the story, if I hear a good idea that I haven't considered before I will consider it but only if it jives with the rest of the plans I have for the story.

I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter though.

I know Toriyama is the creator of dbz and all but he has had a major tendency to contridict his earlier self alot lately. Like he didn't remember Chiaotzu was even a character at one point. I've never played DBO though so I'm not sure I can comment too much on that. I just know that the Legendary super Saiyan last appeared supposedly 1000 years before dbz began. Plus I remember one of the specials or something talking about how the Saiyan homeworld was destroyed the last time the Legendary Super Saiyan was around. As for humans being able to go Super Saiyan I guess there could be a couple different reasons, maybe a later decedent of Vegeta or Goku decided to become a pure blooded saiyan or revive the entire Saiyan race using a portion of the human race or something. There are also alot of human looking aliens, so I suppose it is possible for there to be some sort of common ancestor, some ancient race powerful enough to dominate and populate a large portion of the galaxy or something.

super mystic gohan-

will the next arc be the android saga then or mech freiza ? or even cooler ? also liking what you got on I hope radits and gohan bond grow stronger like be a bound what piccolo and gohan had but more stronger I sposse

Mecha Frieza is coming to Earth like he did in the show, and chronologically that is next. There are still several more chapters of the mini arcs left. Yeah their bond is growing, you'll start to see that more when they appear again I think.

anonymous-

Finally raditz and gohan found people who well mote

Finally gohan and raditz finally found people who more or less care about each other atleast remotely in the form of their new squad
Poor gohan though, just when he thought that the king was a good guy too...
So one thing I've been wondering can they not simply wish gohan back, after all if he'll hear chi chi he'll straight away agree I suppose
Also maybe if he does not want to leave raditz behind then ask his mother/family to get him there too
Also wonder what cooler is planning side by side to do wid ginyu, and what his intentions are, most probably will head to earth soon
Also is frieza like dead dead, or dead just for ghe earthlings and will appear with king cold in the future?
Update soon

Yeah first impressions are not always representative of someone's true colors. The General will be a weight hanging over the duo for a bit longer. I think I answered your next three questions with this chapter, good predicting on your part :). I don't want you to feel like I just skipped your question though so if I didn't do a good enough job with the chapter answering any of those points please let me know in your next review and I will try to give a better explanation with the next chapter.

Simgr101-

Fantastic chapter, I think Gohan is starting to learn about the hell his uncle went through. I wonder how Gohan will be once he comes out of this. Now Cooler has entered I'm wondering if he's going to be like the movie Cooler wanting revenge and getting his ass kicked. Or perhaps even if he goes to earth its only as a mocking call for handing him the entire fucking universe on a silver platter. Perhaps using blackmail of sorts to enlist them like what Frieza originally did to planet vegeta using prince vegeta as the bargaining chip.

Good that is what I was intending. I was trying to start to give the character of Raditz a bit more depth, and to give them something to bond over. Yeah Cooler has a role to play in the upcoming arcs for sure, I felt like he was a very interesting character that didn't get flushed out much in the movie, at least not as much as I think he could've.
