*** 32 WEEKS PREGNANT***

By now, Kate was already the size of a house. Her ankles were swollen and she hadn't seen her feet for months. Shortly after their first scan, Kate developed a bump. It was small and adorable at first, but within a week it had almost doubled in size and continued to grow at an alarmingly quick rate, causing the couple to go back to the doctors. After another scan, it was revealed that the reason Kate's bump was so big and growing so quickly for one child, was in fact, due to not one, but two babies growing inside her.

It was rare, but it did sometimes happen; one of the babies cannot be found on the ultrasound at first and Kate and Tony's case of one of the rare ones. At first, they were over the moon. Not one, but two more beautiful children to add to their already perfect little family. Two sets of twins, they certainly felt like the luckiest, most blessed people on the planet.

However, seven nearly eight months into carrying twins and raising two girls under the age of 10, the pregnancy was starting to take it's toll on Kate. It was completley different to her first pregnancy. It was the other end of the spectrum... This was the one she had expected to be easier, she was married to a wonderful man, she had done it before and her work was more of a family and she wasn't worried about losing her job like she was in the secret service. She had expected this to be a breeze, but it was far from it. Her hormones were all over the place, her feet ached, her back ached, she was literally hungry all the time, she was tired... She had even said she was sure these babies inside her were all DiNozzo because they were already annoying the hell out of her.

If people weren't already scared of Kate before, they certainly were now. Her mood swings, coupled with constant hunger had made her turn into one giant pregnant monster.

"...My dress makes me look like a beached whale, i'm not going!" Kate huffed as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"You have to babe, you're the maid of honour" Tony sat on the edge of the bed, taking Kate's foot and massaging it in his lap.

"So" Kate shrugged, moaning slightly as Tony's hands worked their magic on her swollen clown feet.

"Kate, you have to go. This is Abby, your best friend, and Tim... Tim's wedding. You're the maid of honour. You have to go. Deep down you know you want to... and besides, nobody is going to be looking at you. They're all going to be staring at the woman wearing a black dress and goth boots on her wedding day" Tony chuckled, his thumbs kneeding the soft skin of Kate's heels.

"Fine" Kate huffed, knowing that everything her husband had said was right. And besides, she would have killed Abby if she had ditched her wedding day just because she felt 'fat'.

"Good" Tony smiled, crawling up the bed so he was now hovering over his wife, her giant stomach between them. "But you're still gonna be the most beautiful person in the room" he smiled again, looking down into her deep chocolate orbs. "You're the most beautiful woman in any room, Kate" Tony smirked as he kissed the tip of her nose.

"Tony" Kate sighed, closing her eyes, not wanting to hear this.

"I mean it, Kate. You are the most beautiful, amazing woman I have ever, and will ever meet. You get more and more beautiful every day. There is nothing, nothing that could make you any less beautiful. You could grow to the size of a house or shrink to the size of a mouse and you would still be more beautiful than every single other woman on the planet combined!" Tony kissed the tear that had escaped down Kate's cheek. "And anyway, the bigger you get, the more of you there is for me to love" he placed butterfly kisses down her neck, her chest and onto the home of his two unborn children.

It was almost on a daily basis that Tony had to boost Kate's confidence now, it broke his heart that she thought she was less attractive just because she had put weight on, but he loved doing it. He loved seeing the smile appear on Kate's face whever he told her just how amazing and beautiful she was and how deeply he loved her. He meant every single word of what he had said to her, she did get more beautiful each day. She was carrying his children. She was giving him the best present ever. A part of him was growing inside her. He loved her so much and it just grew more and more each and every day. She was amazing, and although she couldn't see it, he reminded her and made her feel special and loved every day and he was going to carry on doing so until his last dying breath.

Despite Tony's speech, Kate still felt like a hippo, especially next to Ziva and Abby's friends, but she tried not to let her stupid pregnancy brain or her aches and pains bother her today. It was Abby's day and that was all that mattered.

"Oh my God, Abbs!" Kate gasped as Abby entered the room in her dress for the first time. "You look, you looks stunning!" She added, tearing up as her eyes scanned her best friend .

"I do?" Abby asked, looking down at her gown.

"Yes!" Ziva smiled, also tearing up.

Abby's dress was a deep purple satin dress, that was embroidered with silver beading on the bodice and half way down the slightly puffy skirt that went down to the floor. She had lace gloves the same colour as her dress that stretched just past her elbow and a bouqet of black roses. She had her hair in her traditional high pigtails and her neck was decorated in one of her usual dog collars.

Kate, Ziva, Amelia, Lilly and her other bridesmaids had short, strapless (the twins' dresses had sparkly spaghetti straps) dresses in the same colour as Abby, with a black silk sash around the waist and hem of the dress. White flowers decorated the deep purple fabric and a slightly longer underlayer of black netting hung just below the dresses and just above everybodies knees. The dress was strangely slimming on Kate, and the colour suited her which made her feel slightly better about herself.

After a teary group hug, Gibbs knocked on the door and entered the room, telling Abby it was time for him to escort her down the aisle. He held out his arm for Abby to hold onto and placed a kiss on her cheek, whispering something in her ear causing her to giggle.

Half way through the ceremony, Kate's pregnancy pains started to get the best of her. Her genuine, happy smile had turned into a forced, pained one. Damn Braxton Hicks contractions had to make an appearance at the most innappropriate times! Tony caught his wifes pained expression from the other side of the church and grew worried. He smiled as he caught Amelia staring at him and she flashed her father a toothy grin right back.

Once the ceremony was over and Abby and McGee were walking up the aisle as husband and wife, Tony bolted over to his own wife's side.

"You okay?!" he asked, his voice thick with worry.

"I'm fine" Kate breathed through gritted teeth. "I just need to sit down, thats all" she smiled at Tony, trying to reassure both him and herself.

Kate and Tony sat at their table watching every body else at Abby and Tim's wedding reception dance and mingle on the dance floor.

"That was us not so long ago" Kate smiled, watching Abby and McGee dance closely with eachother.

"Any regrets?" Tony smirked.

"Nope" Kate smiled, lacing her fingers with Tony's. "You?"

"Best days of my life" Tony smiled back, bringing Kate's knuckles to his lips, before capturing Kate's soft, pink lips with his own.

Kate smiled into the kiss and Tony's hands had worked their way around her neck and were now lost in her silky brown locks of hair.

"Euuuuwwww!" Lilly huffed as she approached her parents. "That's so gross!" she added, causing Kate and Tony to pull away with a smile.

"What's up, baby girl?" Tony asked.

"'Melia and I want you to dance with us" Lilly smiled hopefully.

Truth was, Kate was still in agonizing pain, despite her best efforts to hide it and ignore it and she knew Tony could see right through that. She hated to say no to her daughters, but she didn't think she could stand straight, let alone dance.

"Mommy's tired, baby" Kate sighed, her heart breaking as she watched her daughters' faces lose their glow and seem to deflate within a second. "I'm sure Daddy will do though" she smiled enthusiastically.

"Okay!" the twins smiled in unison, their little faces lighting up again.

"You sure you'll be okay on your own?" Tony asked seriously, not really wanting to leave Kate at this particular moment in time.

"I'll be fine, babe. Honestly. You go dance with the girls... I'm just gonna go and get some air" Kate smiled, kissing Tony as her pain seemed to intensify.

As the girls dragged Tony onto the crowded dance floor, Kate made her way outside where she leant against the wall, clutching her stomach and screwing up her face in pain. She took a few deep breaths, in and out, both trying to soothe the pain and stop her tears from falling. The deep breaths did nothing to help either those things.

"...I'm just gonna check on Kate, i'll be back in a minute" Gibbs smiled, placing a chaste kiss on Jenny's cheek. He had been watching Kate like a hawk ever since he saw her wince in pain over the 'I do's'. "Kate?" he asked once he saw her, clearly in agony againt the outside wall of the building.

"Gibbs?" Kate asked, still clutching her stomach.

"Is everything okay?" Gibbs asked, approaching Kate.

"I'm fine"

"Can you say that without straining your voice in pain, Kate?" Gibbs asked seriously.

"It's nothing" Kate brushed it off. "Braxton Hicks mixed with a long, stressful day. That's all" Kate let out another deep breath.

"It doesnt look like nothing, Kate" Gibbs looked Kate square in the eye. He had known her long enough to know that there was a flash of fear present in her usual glistening orbs. "Why don't you and Tony go to the hospital and get it checked out? Me and Jenny will have the girls for the night"

"No, honestly Gibbs, i'm fiiiiiiiine!" Kate all but screamed the last word tears escaping and running freely down her cheeks.

"Seriosuly Kate, I think you're in labour. You have to get to the hospital" Gibbs pleaded with the woman that had become like a daughter to him over the past five years.

"I can't be" Kate cried. "I'm only 32 weeks... they're not due for at least another month"

"Oh my... Kate?" Ziva gasped, stopping dead in her tracks. Kate was now clutching onto Gibbs so hard her knuckles had turned white.

"Go get DiNozzo!" Gibbs shouted and Ziva ran back inside to find her colleague.

Ziva found Tony on the dance floor, still dancing with Amelia and Lilly. Not wanting to worry the girls, she told Tony Kate needed him outside urgently before distracting the girls as Tony ran out of the reception and outside to find his wife screaming in pain.

"Jesus... Kate?" Tony's eyes widened in horror.

"I've already called an ambulance but I think we would get there quicker" Gibbs responded as Kate cried out again in pain. "I think she's in labour"

"But she's only 32 weeks along. That's too early... even for twins" Tony swallowed hard as his eyes filled with tears.

"All the more reason we need to get her to the hospital!" Gibbs sighed, fishing around his pockets for his car keys. "Here, take my car" Gibbs handed the keys to Tony, knowing his was the faster option.

Kate continued to scream and cry in pain as Tony sped through the busy streets of Washington.

"It's okay, babe. We're nearly at a hospital, okay?" Tony tried to comfirt Kate as best he could.

"It hurts, Tony!" Kate cried. "It hurts so bad!"

"I know it does, I know. But you're strong, remember. You can do this" Tony reassured her as he pulled into the ambulance bay where the a team of doctors were already waiting for her.

Tony threw the car keys at some random intern as he followed Kate into the hospital, Kate grabbingg his hand and squeezing it as hard as she could for dear life.

"Okay, Mrs DiNozzo. We're gonna get you up to the maternity ward and Dr Montgomery is going to check you over, okay?" The young woman pushing Kate's wheelchair smiled.

"It's too soon!" Kate cried, squeezing Tony's hand harder and harder as each second went by.

Once they were at the maternity ward, they were greeted by a tall, strikingly beautiful red haired woman who introuced herself as Dr Montgomery and then wheeled Kate into a private room.

"Okay, Kate, it appears as though you've gone into preterm labour, okay? I know it's early and it's scary but your babies are very strong, okay?" Dr Montgomery smiled reassuringly after assessing Kate for a few minutes.

"Are they gonna be okay?!" Tony asked, his heart breaking at the though of his babies coming into this world before they were ready.

"There's always risks with any premature births" Addison started. "But they're strong and in the best, most capable hands possible. Our Pediatric attending, Dr Robbins, is the best in the country and i'm certain she will do everything in her power to look after your children" Addison smiled again as Kate cried and screamed in the background.

"Is there no way you can reverse it?" Tony asked.

"I'm sorry, Mr DiNozzo, there isn't. Your wife is already at 10 centimetres and those babies are in a hurry to meet you, but I assure you, I will do everything to try and make sure that both your unborn children and your wife are safe... Now Kate, I'm gonna need you to push for me on the count of three...one...two...three"

"Aaaaarrrgggghhhhh!" Kate screamed as she did as the doctor told her, her grip now so tight on Tony's fingers they felt like they were gonna pop off.

"You're doing great, baby" Tony cheered his wife on, kissing her sweat covered temple. "I'm so proud of you, Kate. You can do this, babe!"

"DAAAAAARGH!" Kate screamed. "IT HURTS SO BAD!"

"I know, sweetie, but you're doing so well" Tony kissed her head again.

As he kissed her, their first child was born.

"It's a boy" Dr Montgomery smiled as she held the tiny, gooey child in her arms before passing him to Dr Robbins.

"Why isn't he crying?!" Kate asked, her son being worked by on several doctors behind Dr Montgomery.

"Dr Robbins is doing everything she can, Kate. Now, i'm gonna need you to push again for me, okay?"

Kate simply nodded, both hers and Tony's eyes glued on their son who was now being put into an incubator, several wires and tubes sticking out of him every which way.

"Okay, push for me, Kate"

With one last push, Kate gave birth to another tiny little boy who was whisked away before she got the chance to hold him.

Kate and Tony sat in the NICU, watching their newborn sons sleep. Once they had got the all clear from Dr Robbins, Tony had called Kate's father, her brothers and sister and finally Gibbs giving them the good news. Gibbs had agreed to Kate the twins for the night and bring them up tomorrow afternoon.

"Baby number one looks just like you" Tony smiled, his hand inside the incubator, stroking his son's tiny arm which was smaller than his finger.

"We really need to name them" Kate sighed, doing the same thing as Tony only with her other son.

Despite being premature, the boys were strong. They were 50% Todd and 50% DiNozzo, 100% fighter. Being half Kate and half Tony, they were going to be a force to be reckoned with. There was no doubt in anyone's minds that these two would be strong headed and stubborn, but in a good way. And they were. Despite the fact they were both breathing on ventilators, both Dr Robbins and Dr Montgomery agreed that they would be breathing on their own in no time.

Their tiny heads were covered in little blue hats, and to Tony, if he was going to be completley honest, they kinda looked like aliens right now. But they were the most beautiul aliens he ever laid eyes on!

"What about Tony?" Tony smiled hopefully.

"No!" Kate stated firmly. "One of you is enough!" she laughed. "I kinda like Oliver"

"Oliver DiNozzo" Tony tested it out. "I like it, Oliver DiNozzo, because the girls will be allover him" he smiled proudly.

"Oliver's out" Kate narrowed her eyes. "Baby number two kinda looks like a Lucas" Kate smiled.

"Lucas DiNozzo. Luke... Lukey... Hey, I'm Lucas DiNozzo... I like it!" Tony beamed. "Although, I think he needs a middle name. The girls have them, Amelia Leigh Todd and Elizabeth 'Lilly' Katherine Todd"

"It's DiNozzo now" Kate smiled. "If you really want your name in there, Lucas Anthony DiNozzo has a nice ring to it"

"I think we just named one of our sons" Tony smiled. "Now Little Guy, what do you wanna be called, huh?" Tony looked down at his sleeping son, wh curently had a strong grip on his thumb. "Ohhhhhh, what about Stringfe-"

"-No way!" Kate cut him off, knowing the name Tony was about to suggest. "That reminds me of the time you tounged a guy" Kate teased.

"That's not true, guys" Tony cleared his throat. "What about, Oscar?"

"Oscar DiNozzo, that's different" Kate mused.

"Good different or bad different?"

"Good" Kate smiled, her fingers stroking her newly named son, Lucas' chunky little belly. "But he also needs a middle name"

"What about Richard after your Dad?"

"No... Tommy did that with Jack, Jack Richard Todd but my Dad didn't really like the idea of it for some reason" Kate sighed. "Ohhh, what about Leroy!" Kate raised her eyebrows playfully.

"Hmmmm, what about Harry?"

"Oscar Harry DiNozzo? I love it!" Kate smiled.

"What about you lil fella, you like that name?" Tony addressed his son, he was only a few hours old and he was already madly in love with the tiny human.

It was a little after one in the afternoon when Gibbs had brought the girls up to the hospital to meet their new baby brothers. Gibbs had also brought along Jenny, Ziva, Abby and McGee(who wanted to meet their new nephews before they jetted off on their honeymoon). Earlier that day, Kate's father and Rachael had met the new babies. Richard crying as he looked down at the extra small infants in their plastic bubbles.

"They're gonna look kinda scary, okay?" Tony said, crouching down so he was eye level with his daughters. "But theres no reason to be scared" he smiled. "Now, you've gotta be extra quiet and extra gentle when you go in there, okay? Theres a lot of wires and tubes helping the babies get bigger and stronger. And you've gotta be super super careful with Mommy too, okay?"

"Daddy?" Amelia looked at Tony, her eyes, much like Lilly's, were pooling with tears. "Are the babies gonna be okay?"

When Kate and Tony first told the girls about the pregnancy, both of them freaked out and threw massive tantrums. They resented the babies at first, especially seeing that they had been changing Kate and making her ill, but after a few weeks, a talk from Ziva and Abby about what being a bug sister meant, and then actually accompanying their parents to a scan, they had completley changed their feelings towards the babies. They had asked almost every single day if the babies were coming, their little brother or sisters growing inside their mummys tummy was all they talked about at school, they had even started practicing being big sisters to their baby dolls and told Kates belly they loved it every night and every morning. Although they were only seven, they had a pretty good idea about what was going on and it scared the hell out of them.

"They're gonna be fine, baby. C'mere" Tony sighed, wrapping his arms around both his daughters and placing kisses on their heads to stop them from crying. "C'mon" Tony took each of them by the hand. "Your brothers are excited to meet you".

As Tony led the girls into the NICU, the rest of the gang watched with teary eyes from behind the glass window. Both Amelia and Lilly let go of Tony's hands and ran towards Kate, throwing their skinny arms around her.

"Ooohhh, I missed my big girls!" Kate squeezed the both of them as they climbed into her lap.

Tony sat in the chair next to Kate's, Oscar and Lucas' incubators either side of them.

"This is Lucas" Tony smiled. "Luke, these are your big sisters, Amelia and Lilly"

"Hi"

"Hi, Lucas"

"And this" Kate smiled, causing the girls to turn around and look at her. "this is Oscar, Oscar, these are you big, beautiful sisters, Amelia and Lilly"

"Hiya, Oscar"

"Hi"

It took the girls a while to get used to their surroundings and become less scared of their brothers. After a few minutes, they slipped their hands in the incubators and felt their little brothers for the first time. Amelia jumped and pulled away at first, but after a little coaxing from Kate, she put her hand back in and smiled when Lucas wrapped his whole hand around her little finger.

"He's so little!" Lilly looked up at Tony with big, inquizitave eyes. "Is it because he came early?"

"Yup. See, they were supposed to be in Mommy's belly or a few more weeks, until they had finished growing and were ready to come out... but they came out before they were ready, so now, these incubators are acting like Mommy's belly and they keep them warm an safe while they finish growing" Tony smiled, stroking his daughters long, dark brown hair.

"Hey, Lucas. This is your big sister, Lilly" the young girl started, stroking her little brothers tiny feet. "You need to hurry up and get big so you can come home and play with 'Melia and me and so Daddy can teach you how to catch and watch movies and make you laugh and then Mommy is really nice and makes real nice dinners and rubs your tummy when your sick and cuddles you when your sad and she has a real pretty smile too! Oh, and you gotta meet Grandpa Gibbs and the gang too. They're amazing! I love you, little brother"

Kate and Tony had listened to Lilly intently and both had heartwarming smiles on their faces and pools of tears in their eyes. They really did have the most perfect family!

After about fourty minutes, Gibbs and the rest of the team entered the room to meet the newest members of the team. Everyone got misty eyed over the sight of the boys and how small and fragile they looked, but they knew that they were strong. They all congratulated Kate and Tony, although, they were all still worried sick about not only the premature boys, but also for Kate. Sure she seemed healthy enough, but she had gone into labour at only 32 weeks and they were all protective over her anyway!

"I'm so sorry if I ruined your wedding!" Kate gave Abby a half smile.

"Ruined it? Kate, you gave us the best wedding gift ever!" Abby jumped up and down exctiedly before wrapping her arms around Kate.

"They have thick black hair, just like Kate" Tony smiled proudly. "They haven't opened their eyes yet, but I hope they have her eyes too!"

"They have your nose" Tim smiled.

"Thank you" Tony clapped him on the back excitedly. "See Kate, I told you. Even McMarried over here thinks they have my nose!"

"God help them" Gibbs smirked.

"Owwww, we really have to get going" Abby wined as she looked at the clock. "We're gonna miss our flight if we don't leave now"

"Go, Abbs" Kate laughed.

"Okay. I'm so glad I got to meet the two most handsome boys in the world before we left"

"Hey!" McGee said, in a mock hurt voice.

"I'm glad you did too" Kate smiled, kissing Abby goodbye on the cheek.

"Hey, whaddya say we make out own babies!" Abby smirked cheekily as her and McGee left the NICU after saying their goodbyes to everyone.

"I had better leave too" Ziva added.

"So do we" Gibbs looked at Jenny and the girls.

"I don't wanna go!" Amelia cried.

"Me neither" Lilly added.

"You have to stay with Grandpa Gibbs for a few days, just while we're at the hospital" Kate pulled her daughters into her lap. "You can come and visit again tomorrow after school, okay? I promise. But it's getting late and you have to go home with Grandpa Gibbs and Auntie Jenny. You can phone Daddy and I as soon as you get home and if you get lonely in the night, or whenever, I don't care what time it is, you phone me or Daddy, okay? And we will talk to you and tell you how your brothers are doing. I love you two so much, okay? You're my big girls and I love you to the moon and back and i'll see you tomorrow" Kate kissed their foreheads, trying to hold back her own tears.

"You promise?"

"I promise" Kate kissed them again and hugged them tightly before letting them say goodbye to their father and their little brothers too.

Later that night, Kate and Tony were back in Kate's room and were cuddling in her bed. Abby had brought them a bag up and they were both so grateful for their own pyjamas right now! The doctors had given Tony his own bed, but it was uncomfortable and besides, he couldn't sleep without having Kate wrapped in his arms anyway, so the two of them snuggled in her hospital bed.

"Kate?" Tony whispered. "You awake?"

"...Yeah" Kate whispered. "I miss the kids too much so I can't sleep. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine" Kate felt Tony smile and she shuffled awkwardly and turned ober so she was now facing him, the tips of their noses touching. "I'm more than fine, Kate. I'm amazing. I have four amazing children and one beautiful, funny, strong, kind, stubborn, smart, sexy, perfect wife" he smiled again, kissing the tip of her nose. "I mean, it's not the ideal situation, I wish the Lucas and Oscar hadn't come so soon but Kate, I wouldn't change a single thing. Two years ago, I wouldn't even recognise the man I am today. You amaze me and change me every day. You make me strive to be better, to be the best man I can be and I am just so happy and in love, Kate."

"You know, if somebody had told me two years ago that I would fall in love, marry and have four kids with Tony DiNozzo, I would probably shoot them" Kate laughed.

"Four kids Kate, two girls and two boys. Four kids!" Tony exclaimed. "We're gonna have to drive a minibus to work"

"Imagine that!" Kate said laughing. "High speed chase, with our 'baby on board' sticker and Ziva and McGee sat in booster seats"

"At least we would be able to fit everybody in, we wouldn't have to take two cars!"

"Ohhhh, practical!" Kate yawned.

"Special Agent Soccer Mom" Tony winked sleepily.

Within seconds, the couple were engulfed by the darkness of sleep. With two new born babies, making four children under the age of ten, on top of a job with already long and crazy hours (even though Gibbs usually let at least one of them go at around 5/6 o'clock), sleep was the one thing that would become a luxury item for them. But they didn't really seem to mind, not now at least. They were just in their 'happy family' bubble, and right now, nothing could burst it.

Okay, so many people said they wanted Kate and Tony to have twin boys... so, voila.
