Hermione and Hermes were actually having a great time. Hermes really got to know one of his kids for once, and he wasn't messing up. He wasn't messing up! Maybe, he learned a lesson from Luke. He would never make his kids feel neglected anymore. Hermione's brown eyes twinkled as she laughed at some joke Hermes made. She didn't think his jokes were lame! She didn't think his jokes were lame! That's more than Hermes could ever ask for. Hermes was flattered that Ariana had decided to name their daughter after him, he really couldn't ask for more, except to be able to see her after he returned to Olympus. For once, things were good, and that night the guilt of Luke left him for a good few hours. It would return, and he'd probably feel that guilt forever, but maybe he could move on. Maybe he could not suck.

"Personally, I think that Scarlette girl needs a reality check, the world doesn't revolve around her." Hermione said, as she watch Aphrodite dance with numerous men.

"She's alright, once you get used to her," Hermes admitted "You guys should talk more, maybe you'd like her."

Hermione scrunched her nose in disgust "Trust me, she's terrified of me, because she thinks I use Mens Head and Shoulders." Hermione rolled her eyes, "She needs to get a grip."

Hermes decided if he was ever going to tell Hermione about her identity, it may be now or never. The last thing he wanted was her to get killed on her way to Camp, maybe she'd take it better if he told her himself, instead of watching in introductory video at camp.

"Hermione, there's something I need to tell you." Hermes sighed, running a hand in his hair. How exactly was he supposed to do this?

"Yeah?"

"I'm your fa-"

That's when the bullet flew across the room. Screams echoed through the gym. Hermes dropped to the floor on instinct, hiding under the table.

"Hermione! Under the table!" Hermes cried. There was no response. Instead, a body fell from the chair hitting the cold gym floor. Hermes let out a cry.

Hermiones' eyes were frozen, blood pouring from her chest, where the bullet hit.

Hermes vision was blurred with tears.

The first kid he didn't mess up on.

She was dead.
