Chapter 28: Lost City of Atlantis

A glimmer in the sky twinkles from Sherwood Forest. Some one screams from the zapping from the stratosphere down to a hilly earth! Queen Minnie crashes safely in Sherwood.

"OOF!" She lands on her back. She looks at the Star Shard the King gave to her. The last of the glinting goes out and the Star Shard is darkened. "Hopefully I'll find someone nice out here."

"Hello? Who's out there?" asks Little John. He yawns as he slashes at the branches and holds his lantern out to find Queen Minnie hiding away in the bush.

"You can come out," he says with a laugh. "Your pink dress gave you away."

She crawls out and stands up to his knees. She dusts herself and says, "I suppose you had a lot of strangers travel by."

"A lot more in the daytime," he says. "We've had a bunch of guys-n-gals come along two weeks ago. One of them had a key-shape sword of some kind. They're well-mannered, but a little too weird for my taste."

"Did you say 'key-shape sword?" Queen Minnie asks.

"Yeah," he says. "What's wrong?"

"It's a long story," she says. "But they're trying to rescue me and my King."

The gang seat themselves into their respective cabins of the Alexandria.

"Just be careful when y'all get there," Goofy warns.

"From what I've read," Blue says. "That nation was protected by some source. I'm not sure what it is though, but it's not the Leviathan."

"Can I see the coordinates where you've taken that picture, Blue?" Nadine types.

"Jet engines on minimum," Matt shifts the throttle.

"Target world acquired," Nadine confirms.

"Increasing heat," Matt and Jade say as they pushed the throttles further up.

"Weapon system is in check," Sidney says.

"Intercoms are go," Ashleigh announces over them.

A tunnel opens with four barred doors opened up, with the lights like a speedway.

"Are we ready, team?" Dorian asks.

"Showtime, Baby!" Jade says.

"Let's Rock!" Matt throws a bull symbol.

Romeo barks.

"Yes? Can we go now?" Ashleigh asks.

"High time we fly!" Lizzy says.

"This is tense!" Sidney says.

Blue says nothing, but a look of concern.

Goofy hollers, "Blast OFF!"

However, there was a red arrow pointing downward, and then a hole opened up, thus the Alexandria falls through!

"That never gets old!" Goofy laughs as he looks down. "Aw-Hyuck!"

"Goofy?" Darrell asks Goofy. "How do I use this again?"

"Oh that's easy," Goofy said. "Just remember what your world is like. Everything over there should be a-okay."

"Okay," Darrell smiles less. A blip sounds off on the radar. Him and Goofy look up to find a blue star shoot across. "That can't be her, can it?"

Meanwhile, an array of screams is piercing the downward tunnel.

The Alexandria is safe once it falls completely through. With the jet engines on full blast, the gang traveled the subspace.

"Surely," Nadine says. "I thought that we were going to die…"

Dorian looks as if he died. "And that's why I don't go on roller coasters that defies death," he says with a shocked look on his face.

Every one else recovers from the fatal fall a few minutes later. Lizzy takes out his vocal recorder and plays his favorite character from the 1970s Star Trek.

"Captain's Log," he begins. "Thursday 2:26 pm August 6th. This is Force Captain Alizandro Lavender "Lizzy" Scales. My crew and I have embarked on a remarkable adventure. We have encountered an alien named Tartarus that demanded our deaths a while back. We found these Elemental Jewels, crystals from another galaxy that gift the user extraordinary powers, further…"

Jade plucks Lizzy's head to make him stop. "Bro, this is serious stuff we're in," Jade scowls.

"Just because of that," Lizzy scowls back. "Doesn't stop me from enjoying our journey."

Jade hums and switches on his intercom. "Hey, have you ever figured out how you ever got that thing, Dorian?"

Dorian didn't answer and Jade hears snoozing over the microphone. "Is he sleeping? Okay, everybody turn off your microphones." No sure, everyone else but the unsuspecting Dorian turned off the intercoms. He found a small chalkboard and instructed his little brother to cover his ear holes. "Jade's… NOISE!"

Jade's sharpened nail scratches the board! Dorian awakes falling out of his seat from the horrid screech! Every one is safe from Jade's negligence, but had a feeling something was bound to happen.

"What did he do?" Sidney asks when Romeo perks his ears.

"I don't know if I should turn this back on," a baffled Matt is curious to turn his intercom on.

"Why do I have that feeling?" Blue switches his on. He tunes in on an argument between them.

"YOU THINK WHAT YOU DID WAS FUNNY?"

"HE-HE-HE-YISS! That's what you get for letting me flop like a fish earlier!"

"Really?" Blue sighs. He looks out his window to find the same world he took the picture of. "WORLD!" Blue announces, "DEAD AHEAD!"

The Matt and Jade turn the engines off and let the ship glide towards the atmosphere of the new world.

"Weird." Nadine looks on her screen, "It's like there's no land to land on."

"Not unless," Matt detaches himself from the Alexandria. He drifts forward enough to bump into an invisible force. "So NegaDuck was right."

"Right about what?" Ashleigh asks.

"There are other worlds that have a band of light protecting them," Matt says. The pulls out his Jewel and brings it forward. The band of light reveals itself. Once unveiled, the band only opens a small hole.

"You're kidding," Matt says. "That's so small, only Lizzy can fit through!"

"What do you suggest? Lizzy asks.

"Opening it bigger," Matt unbuckles himself and steps out of his cabin and into the void.

"Are you out of your mind!" Nadine yells. "You can't breathe out there!" She groans and then unbuckles herself to aid Matt.

"You guys are crazy!" Jade says. As he is about to leave his cabin, Sidney stops him.

"Jade, hold on!" She says.

"But they'll suffocate!" Jade says.

"This is like a 'trust building' exercise," Sidney says. "Matt told me this before."

One summer ago before Tartarus' chaos, Matt's family moved to Anna County without Dorian's notice. It was only Sidney who knew. She held a three-way face-time call with Matt and Nadine.

"So," Sidney said. "This is the 'Nadine' you were talking so much about?"

"The one and only," Matt said beaming.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you," Nadine said. "He talks so highly of you."

"I try my best," she said. "I'm sure we'd meet up sometime time soon."

"I gotta go," Nadine warns. "My dad's being a dictator. But Matt?"

"Yeah?"

"Would you let me catch you if you fall?"

"What kind of question is that?" Nadine asks.

"Would you?"

Matt stood silent until he smiles, "Yes. You can. And you should."

Sidney and the gang witness the moment of truth. Matt 'swims' closer to the band of light. He does not hesitate, but the gravity makes it difficult to lay his hand upon the band. He exerts himself, but is repelled. Nadine nudges behind him, pushing him forward to the band. He holds his Jewel to the band and finally touches it. The band first expands its width, and then shrinks into nothing. The couple smiles, but Matt turns pale when his lungs have to exhale. Nadine grabs his hand, and tosses him back in his cabin. She turns pale as well, but she was too far from her cabin attached to Alexandria. She gasps and passes out.

Matt takes a breath and looks behind. He finds Nadine drifting. "Nadine!"

"Sidney's got this," Ashleigh says. "Look."

Sidney climbs out of her own cabin and propels herself to Nadine. She carries her on her shoulder. Alexandria drifts closer to their position, making it easy for Sidney to drop Nadine in her cabin. Sidney safely returns to her cabin. Every one sighs in relief.

"Thank the Spirits for awesome people like you," Matt throws a thumb up.

They touch down the beach, creating a large ripple.

"WICKED! A beach!" Matt grabs his surfboard.

"Not the time," Lizzy scratches Matt without him noticing.

"Blue," Nadine jumps out of the cockpit. "Where you going?"

Blue sprints up the vertical slope of rough sediment to find a small village structure across. "Guys," Blue calls the gang's attention. "Have a look at this. I remember seeing this village in the ancient texts in my library. This place was abandoned when Atlantis sunk," he explains. "This used to be an exporting village with Atlantis. This village used to house a special item that could've been used for some kind of ritual. And I don't know what kind of ritual." Blue peered over the sands and saw something bubbling on the other side. "What's that?"

He walks over as every one else follows him. They saw bubbles rising from beneath the ocean. "Do you think we could take the Gummi ship down the ocean?" Blue asks.

"Can it go underwater?" Dorian asks him.

"The manual Chip and Dale written says it could," Lizzy checks. "But only at a certain depth."

Every one hops back on the Alexandria and dives from the beach to the ocean depths.

"Sweet!" Matt says. "It's like going on a submarine ride!"

"It's getting dark down here," Sidney comments. "Maybe we should turn the lights on." Only the main bridge's headlights were switched on and the Elemental Force journeyed on.

"FISH!" Jade shouts.

"There's fish everywhere," Matt says.

"Scaring us half to death," Nadine says.

"NO, WEIRD FISH," Jade continued to shout. "LOOK HOW SHINY THAT SHARK IS!"

The Elemental Force directs the headlights to where Jade was pointing. There was a shark with short fins on the rocks.

"That looks like a Mako shark," Lizzy identifies. "Oddly enough their blue isn't supposed to be THAT metallic."

The shark swims to turn around. With blinking eyes and a half open mouth it swiftly swims away!

"FOLLOW THE FISH!" Jade screams. The Mako is nimble and glides away from the pursuing Gummi ship. They continued to follow it until a gargantuan creature cuts the Alexandria off!

"WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THAT?" Dorian slams the brakes!

The beast swims away and Blue reveals it. "Dear Neptune!" Blue's jaw drops. "It's the Leviathan! One of the oldest machines the people of Atlantis ever built. If it still swims, then that must mean…"

The headlights look around to find ruins of Ancient Greek architecture! "This is ATLANTIS!" Blue says.

The Alexandria spots the same Mako shark from earlier swimming towards an ancient temple-like building. The Gummi ship moves closer for closer landing.

"SEA STING!" Blue pulls out his piece of paper and slaps it on his forehead, "TRANSFORM!"

"PISTOL JAB!" Lizzy slaps his paper on his arm, "TRANSFORM!"

"AND," Lizzy continues, "BLACK COAT!" he slaps Romeo's paper on his forehead, "TRANSFORM!"

"You dorks need to lay off of the DVDs," Dorian says. "You look like a bunch of kids. And Lizzy, I thought you were a Jumbo Shrimp!"

"SEA KNIGHT!" Matt joins in, "TRANSFORM!"

"JUST HOW OLD ARE YOU, ANYWAY?" Dorian slaps his piece of paper on his face cheek.

"For a minute, I thought Blue was actually serious," Ashleigh says as she placed her paper on her neck.

"I couldn't agree more," Nadine says as she placed her paper on her forehead.

Sidney and Jade are last. "So were going out there while there's a mechanical lobster still swimming out there?" She asks.

"Don't worry, chica," Jade says. "Some one can watch the ship."

"Wait!" Lizzy wails. "Don't turn the headlights out, yet!"

"Why?" Sidney groans. "We're wasting energy!"

Lizzy swims in the light. "Now turn them off." Dorian turns them off with a remote switch. Lizzy glows along with everyone else impressing everyone in the group. "Artificial Bioluminescence."

"What are you smiling about?" Nadine tries to scare Matt.

Matt, once again teary eyed says, "Cut it out! Don't ruin anything for me while I'm a seahorse."

"You poor thing," Nadine soon comforts Matt, and had little twinkles in her eyes. "To have," she pokes his belly. "Kids…"

Matt, now gripped by fear by Nadine, forcibly tries to escape and then screams and cries like little kid!

"Oh my God, Nadine!" Dorian turns around by swimming, "He can't have nothing, can he? Besides, who am I to watch a football game and drink beer when my boys, the Ravens are kicking the Raiders' Asses all day?"

"He's right," Matt says. "About the alcohol and pregnancy. I can't have any beer and be three months in at the same time. AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE RAVENS KICK ASS? KERRY COLLINS IS WAAAAY BETTER THAN JOE FLACCO!"

"You think?" Dorian continues to poke fun at Matt. "Old quarterback is old."

"Well, at least we have a better fanbase," Matt sticks his tongue out.

"Ravens? Raiders?" Jade asks in bewilderment. "Our Football is nothing comparable to your American Football. Team Brazil is number ONE, BABY!"

"I never cared for soccer much," Dorian comments. "You just juggle the ball with your feet."

"Eh?" Jade senses Dorian's taste of sports. "Just call your sport armored rugby!"

"I never cared for those kinds of sports," Sidney says as Romeo swam with her, "Except for fencing."

"Oh," Lizzy swam ahead. "That's nice, then. I just hope to see the Patriots win another SUPER BOWL THIS DECADE! MUWE-EH-EH-EH!"

"NO, THEY WON'T!" Ashleigh butts in, "THE COLTS WILL STIKE AGAIN!"

"Don't kid yourself, Ash!" Dorian said as he looked forward. "They won't. Not with a defense like that."

"Really?" she asks with a smirk. He hasn't seen Ashleigh's Red Lionfish costume.

"Dorian?" she asks sensuously. He turned his head and she asked, "Do you think the Colts would win this season?"

Dorian's face grows hot, and was bubbling from the heat! But, his loyalty to his team did not sway. "No."

"Bad Shark-y!" Ashleigh plucks his nose. Blue is abnormally silent this trip. Normally he would say something awkward. Not this time around, everyone look at him as he muttered to himself.

"That shark looked surprised," Blue looks ahead with disbelief. "Not unless that shark..."

Blue sees the shark swim inside of the temple. He decides to swim after it until a harpoon nearly misses him by a frill! Blue looked to where the harpoon came from. His luminescence shines to find it was NegaDuck joining forces with Mortimer. NegaDuck is furious facing against the Elemental Force, after each defeat time and time again. His upper half of his body is normal, but his lower half…

"How disgusting," Lizzy pushes up his glasses, "An anglerfish and a banded pipefish. Those species fits you both."

"Real funny!" Mortimer says. "But we ain't got business with you. Not just yet!"

Blue swims in front of Lizzy. "You'll find nothing here. This once sacred kingdom is now decimated! What could you possibly gain here?"

NegaDuck nods in agreement, "That's what King Mickey said, but I have researched otherwise. What do you think was responsible for what happened?"

Nobody answers in five seconds. NegaDuck then says, "I've read in an ancient book that those people have had a valuable treasure to preserve light and to keep the darkness away. But an oncoming war has left the residents of the village above in fear of losing light. The people went crazy, and then these things called Unversed were spawned from the people's insanity and destroyed the village you saw before coming down here. And the creator of the weapon threw it into the ocean in order to keep the Unversed from using it.

"And right now we have fishing to do," Mortimer says. "No pun intended."

"That weapon could be lost for good!" Blue says. "You'll never find it!"

"Yes we will," Mortimer commands the Heartless troupe. "Aqua Squad, ROLL OUT!"

Mortimer summons an Aquatank and five Screwdivers.

"Kill them!" Mortimer says as he and NegaDuck swim off into the temple.

"Oh, they will pay dearly for what they did to me," Mortimer mutters. "And the Blot said that weapon would give the user ultimate power?"

"Indefinitely," NegaDuck nods. "And don't sweat it, pal," he comforts Mortimer as held out an orb in his hand. "I trust Inky had enough information to be sure it is here. This Boss Class Heartless will clear a way for us. We're in good hands, here."

"I'm taking your word for it," Mortimer grits his teeth.

Behind them unknowingly lurks another figure in the dark. He grins and his shadowy body followed NegaDuck and Mortimer into the Ruins.

"What are those things, Lizzy?" Matt says.

"Screwdiver and Aquatank Heartless," Lizzy scouts. "They seem to have a symbiotic relationship."

"MOVE!" Nadine pushs him as he was almost eaten by a thrown Aquatank!

"I don't think I can use my Rhythm Kenpo underwater," Dorian complains. "I got no legs to kick with!"

"Let me see if I can use my Rainforest Kenpo underwater," Jade tests. Three Screwdivers jet themselves toward Jade as he swiftly went above and behind them. "Rainforest Kenpo! Cortante Soberano!"

Even as a shark, Jade retains his sharpness of his fins and sliced through the Heartless!

"Cool!" Sidney swims with excitement. There was another Screwdiver right behind her. "Surfer Crashing!" Matt body slams the Heartless away. "And, Electro Nail!" Matt slams his tail onto the Screwdiver again with an electrical charge. The Heartless zaps into a purple mist!

Romeo is idle as the last Screwdiver sneaks on top of him. "Romeo!" Sidney calls for him. "Let's Play!"

The seal bit the Screwdiver's leg and then tugs at it. He then shakes it around like a toy as a dog would. Then he throws it to Sidney. "Fira!" her tiny mouth spits out a huge fireball, crushing the Heartless!

Blue confronts the Aquatank and says nothing as his axes slip from his tentacles.

"YOU DIE!" the Heartless threatens. "Rip Tide Fin!" the Aquatank spins around in a cyclone!

"Atlantic Warrior!" Blue's membranes darken as he swims quickly outside the Aquatank's cyclone!

"WHA?" the Heartless looks for Blue, until his strike came from below…

"Sea Breeze!" Blue is swift and in an instant, the Aquatank burst into Munny and Health Point balls!

"That was a killer move, little dude!" Matt compliments. But Blue didn't say anything.

"That shark was very unsettling," Blue says silently. He swims ahead to the temple to catch up with NegaDuck and Mortimer. Every one else follows.

"It's huge!" Sidney says, "Why do I feel like the more we swim that way, the more space is closing in?"

Nadine looks around and then she looks ahead. "A ramp?" Nadine asks when Blue accelerates.

"Where is this going?" Sidney asks.

Blue sloshes on the floor and then peels is skin off. "Candles?" he asks himself.

Dorian swims inside and peels his skin. "You still on that shark?"

Then different Heartless show up! "This time, it's an octopus, shells, and more sharks!" As soon as Dorian is about to handle the Heartless, a flash of light bounced off the walls and went through the creatures! They disappeared into a purple mist.

"Uh," Dorian talks to a figure with his back facing them. "I was going to take care of them, but thanks anyways."

"SEELENSE (Silence)," a young man with spiked hair and deep green eyes steps forward speaking an unknown language to Blue and Dorian. Pointing his crimson red sword at them.

"He's got a red sword!" Blue says with a stunned face.

"He's got a blue sword," Dorian answers with an equally stunned face.

"SEDE SEELENSE KAGIN, PAULES (I said quiet, fools,)" he sternly says.

"Hey, you don't scare me!" Dorian pulls out his orange Keyblade.

"Hold on, Dorian!" Blue holds him back. "I recognize this language."

Lizzy swims to the surface of the pool, "What's going on up there?"

The man's eyes flashed a steel black, and forms a wall at the opening of the pool.

"That's not fair!" Lizzy demands.

"TIS E PATIOANA KAGIN, LAT OALTERA, LAT MAARBEL, NADE KWAM DIN LESE (This is between me, the wielder, and the Maarbel, and no one else)," the young man said.

"I got this!" Jade jumps out the water and bashes his head against the psychic wall. But he bounced off!

"Just who are you?" Dorian demands.

"We'd like some answers, if you don't mind?" Blue young man says nothing as he still stares both of them down.
