Thank you everyone again for the reviews, so appreciated! Sorry it's been a bit longer between me updating but this is the longest chapter I have written so hopefully it's been worth the wait :)

Ok, this chapter has some highs in it for a change, but some sad bits too. For everyone who's seen this weeks episodes then you'll know it's been Dierdres death, and if you're anything like me you'll have broke your heart watching it. The cast have done amazing though! I wanted to write it exactly how it was done in the programme but my box hasn't recorded that episode for some reason and my internet is too slow to get it on ITV player so I'm having to just do it the best I can from what I can remember.

Read the bit at the bottom too please :P

Chelsea: "I feel sick. Maybe I made the wrong move, besides, look at me!" she pointed to herself in an overdramatic fashion.

Michelle: "Stop worrying you'll be fine, and it's not as bad is it seems, honest" she chuckled, looking the girl up and down.

Chelsea: "See even you think I look ridiculous!"

She turned back to the floor length mirror and looked at her reflection for the fifth time since she had put it on. First day at Oakhill and it was easy to see that she was nervous about it. She had her black hair smoothed back into a tight ponytail, showing off her amazing complexion. She wore a maroon blazer with a white blouse underneath it, her tie hung loosely around her neck. The navy skirt she had on stretched to just below her knees, and to top it all off she had a woven boater hat on her head with a maroon ribbon tied around the base.

She adjusted her tie and turned back to her Aunt with a miserable expression. Michelle said nothing as she tried to hold back her laughter and put a comforting arm around the girl leading her downstairs. In the living room a plate was sat with a bacon roll on it and a cup of orange juice sat next to it. Liz came through and beamed at the girl.

Liz: "Well would you look at you eh! I've made you some breakfast, set you up for your first day" she grinned.

Chelsea: "I'm not hungry" she grumbled and dropped herself down onto the couch.

Liz: "Oh come on you need to eat something?" she said trying to persuade the girl.

Chelsea: "What I need is to take off this daft uniform and go back upstairs to bed. I can't do this" she shook her head sadly as her stomach churned.

Steve walked in as she said this and took a seat beside her putting an arm around her. She tilted her head so it was resting on his shoulder and let out a long sigh.

Steve: "Listen kiddo you can do this, you never know you might even enjoy it" he rubbed her arm comfortingly.

Chelsea: "I doubt it" she groaned.

Michelle: "Sure you will, you'll make friends and you got to pick your classes? Aren't you looking forward to that at least?"

Chelsea shrugged: "I suppose I'm looking forward to being back to physics"

Liz: "Physics?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

Michelle: "She's a right brainy one her, aced her entrance exam, 95%!" she beamed proudly.

Steve: "It'll be fine, now come on you better get your shoes on, your Mums waiting outside"

Chelsea nodded and quickly put on her shoes and picked up her satchel. When she went outside Carla was stood at the car waiting.

Carla: "Oh my god look at you" she laughed.

Chelsea: "That's it! I'm not going!" she huffed and turned around but Michelle was stood behind her.

Michelle: "Get in the car and go to school, everyone else will be dressed the same as you. We're just not used to it yet that's all, right Carla?" she spoke through gritted teeth giving her friend a glare and Carla straightened her expression.

Carla: "Right yeah, just not used to it" she coughed as she suppressed her laughter.

Chelsea: "Thanks for being so supportive mother" she scowled, getting into the car and slamming the door shut.

She rolled down the window and Michelle leant in kissing her on the forehead.

Michelle: "I'll see you after school, Steve is going to pick you up at 4pm sharp ok? Please try and enjoy yourself"

Chelsea nodded half-heartedly and turned back to face the windshield as Carla pulled away from the street.

Walking into the school grounds she turned round one last time giving Carla another wave, before talking a deep breath and moving forwards. She got out her timetable as she walked along the maze of corridors trying to find her registration class. Too busy with her head in the piece of paper, she ended up walking straight into someone else. She dropped the timetable she was holding and the person bent down, picked it up and handed her it back.

Chelsea: "Thank you, sorry I wasn't looking where I was going"

The girl gave her a smile: "It's ok, first day?" she asked.

Chelsea nodded and the girl held out her hand for the sheet. She looked at it and handed her it back.

"You're in the same class as me, come on I'll show you where to go, you'll find your feet eventually but this place is so confusing" she laughed.

Chelsea: "Thanks I appreciate it, I've got the worst sense of direction as it is" she laughed nervously.

"I'm Kirsty, I only started here 6 months ago. Pushy parents, thought there darling angel could do better than public school, I was quite happy where I was to be honest"

Chelsea: "I'm Chelsea. I didn't like my old school and it was the only other one in the area to go to"

Kirsty: "You'll like it here, everyones friendly, it's not cliquey like public school, that's one good thing"

Chelsea: "That's good to know" she said as she felt herself slowly start to relax.

Kirsty: "Give me another look at your timetable" she said.

Kirsty: "Wow, your classes are almost identical to mine. Apart from Geography, more of a history gal me"

Chelsea laughed: "History would have been my worst nightmare!"

Kirsty: "And here was me thinking we could have been friends too"

Chelsea: "On second thought, History ain't so bad"

The two girls laughed as they continued down the corridor and turned off into a classroom. As Kirsty went and sat down, Chelsea approached the teacher and introduced herself.

Miss Howie: "Oh yes I was told you'd be joining us! Find the classroom alright?"

Chelsea: "Not at first but Kirsty saw me looking lost and helped me find it"

Miss Howie: "Oh grand, how nice of her"

She turned to face the class and cleared her throat: "Right everyone we have a new student with us, I want you all to help her out and make her feel welcome. This is Chelsea Connor"

Everyone smiled warmly at her and a chorus of hellos sounded out from the class. Miss Howie showed her where to take a seat and she read out the register to see who had all joined. Once that was done she left the room leaving the class alone.

Kirsty pulled her chair over beside Chelsea: "We have another 10 minutes in here then we leave to go to our first class, your physics first thing too aren't you?"

Chelsea nodded: "Yeah I am"

Kirsty: "Cool well we can make our way along together"

A blonde girl sitting in front turned round to look at her: "You used to go to Weathy high didn't you?"

Chelsea nodded: "Yeah, why?" she looked confused as to why the girl knew this.

"Heard a lot about you, my cousin goes there. I'm Lucy by the way"

Chelseas heart sunk and she looked down at the table as the tears threatened to fall, this was all she needed.

Lucy: "Sorry I didn't mean to upset you! Listen, don't worry about any of that here, none of us are bullies, and we don't care if you're gay or whatever"

Kirsty: "You're gay?"

Chelsea: "Yeah" she said quietly, still not wanting to raise her head.

Kirsty: "That's gross"

Lucy: "Shut up Kirsty you fool. She's kidding Chelsea, Kirsty here bats for your team too. Doesn't make no odds to us"

Chelsea lifted her head and looked to Kirsty who had a goofy grin on her face.

Kirsty: "Seriously dude relax, I already told you, we're not bitchy here. Everyone gets on and they've all been awesome with me when I came out"

Chelsea: "Really?"

Kirsty: "Yeah, don't get me wrong they were shocked but they're cool with it"

Chelsea smiled and felt herself relax even more. The bell rang above their heads and the two of them headed off to class. The day passed by quickly and before she knew it she was walking out the front gates with Kirsty. She stood talking to the girl as she waited on Steve picking her up.

Chelsea: "So much for him being here at 4pm sharp" she moaned.

Kirsty: "It just means more time spent with me" she grinned.

Chelsea smiled back at the girl: "Well that's true. Where do you stay, do you want a lift back?"

Kirsty: "No thanks, I'm a 15 minute walk from here, and I quite enjoy the walk"

Kirsty: "Anyway, didn't want to ask you in there but how long you been out for?"

Chelsea chuckled: "Well you're straight to the point aren't you. I came out a few weeks ago, everyones been really supportive but I struggled with it for a while"

Kirsty: "Have you had any girlfriends?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

Chelsea: "What is this, the spanish inquisition?" she laughed.

Kirsty: "I'm just curious, come on humour me" she answered fluttering her eyelashes at her.

Chelsea: "No not yet anyway"

Kirsty: "I'm surprised, you're stunning!" she said with a flirtateous smile.

Chelsea felt her cheeks burn red and just by luck Steve pulled up beside her.

Chelsea: "That's my Uncle, I better go"

Kirsty: "Drop me a text later and I'll see you tomorrow yeah?"

Chelsea grinned: "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow"

When she got in the cab she fastened her seatbelt and turned to Steve who was sitting staring at her with a grin on his face.

Chelsea: "What?" she laughed.

Steve: "I won't enjoy it, I don't want to go" he imitated.

Chelsea: "Yeah well it was actually pretty awesome, everyone is really nice"

Steve: "Great news! You can tell us all about it when we're home, save you repeating it all to your Aunt Michelle. She's been sat on tenderhooks all day expecting a phone call saying you were coming home"

Chelsea chuckled: "The woman knows me too well"

They drove along exchanging general chitchat about Steves day and then silence as she just relaxed thinking about her day, her mind wandering back to Kirsty. She'd have been lying if she had said she wasn't attracted to her. Just a couple of inches taller than Chelsea with the same slim figure, anyone who looked at her could tell she was a good looking girl. Her hair had been dyed red and hung just below her shoulders, poker straight. She had bright blue eyes and it was the first thing you could notice about her.

Steve broke her out her daydream and she realised they were parked next to the cab office. When they arrived back in the pub Michelle and Liz were stood behind the bar chatting to Carla who was sat on a bar stool opposite them.

Carla: "So, how did it go then?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

Chelsea: "Hello to you to Mum" she said and went over leaning into her mother who put an arm around her giving her a hug. Chelsea jumped up onto the bar stool next to her and took off her hat placing it on the bar in front of her.

Michelle: "Well come on, we're dying to here how it went!"

Chelsea laughed: "It was actually pretty amazing. Everyone is so so nice, I made friends, they even know about my sexuality and don't care at all. I met a girl called Kirsty and she's awesome, and I'm pretty sure she was flirting with me before Steve picked me up"

Carla: "First day and she's already got admirers, that's my girl" she winked.

Michelle: "Sooo, what's this girl like? What gave you the idea she was flirting with you?"

Chelsea: "She's really pretty, and she's just generally really cool, like we're into a lot of the same things and she's easy to get on with. Well when I was waiting on Uncle Steve picking me up she stood with me talking and had asked if I'd had a girlfriend, and when I said no she said she was surprised cause she thinks I'm stunning and the way she smiled at me it just seemed like she was flirting. And she's gay too so at least I won't make that mistake again"

Carla: "Well you are, you're beautiful, she was stating the obvious there"

Chelsea: "You have to think that, you're my Mum" she said shaking her head but smiled nonetheless.

Liz: "Just don't be rushing into anything, find your feet first at school"

Chelsea nodded and she had full intentions of doing just that, but a week later when Kirsty moved in to kiss her, her intentions flew out the window and she moved in too allowing the girls lips to touch hers. When they pulled apart they both had a smile on their faces.

Chelsea: "Wow" she sighed happily.

Kirsty: "Yeah, wow"

The bell above them rang signifying it was time to go to class and Kirsty walked out of the bathroom, Chelsea following closely behind.

Chelsea grabbed her hand and Kirsty turned around to look at her.

Chelsea: "Are we going to talk about what just happened?"

Kirsty: "Whats there to talk about, I like you, you like me, we kissed" she shrugged.

Chelsea: "I know but is that all it was?"

Kirsty: "Well you're going to be my girlfriend, right?" she stated as if it was obvious.

Chelsea: "Is that you asking?" she asked with raised eyebrows smirking at her.

Kirsty sighed: "Fine will you be my girlfriend" she said feigning annoyance.

Chelsea: "Mmm I don't know, I'll need to think about that" she answered seriously and Kirstys face dropped.

Chelsea: "I'm joking you muppet, of course I'll be your girlfriend" she grinned.

When Chelsea arrived home that day she walked into the back room and dropped herself down onto the couch smiling away dreamily to herself. Liz was sat at the table with Dan, each of them with a coffee and she hadn't even acknowledged them.

Liz: "Erm, Hello?"

Chelsea turned round: "Oh hey Liz" she smiled.

Liz: "What's the look about?" she asked furrowing her eyebrows.

Chelsea composed herself and straightened face up a bit: "What look?"

Dan: "I think she means that lovesick grin on you face" he pointed out, having seen the look on his own daughters face many times before.

Michelle: "Lovesick grin?" she asked walking in.

Chelsea: "I have no such grin on my face thank you very much" she answered.

Michelle: "Oh my god you do! You can't even hide it! Spill missy"

Chelsea: "Well if you must know, Kirsty and I are officially an item"

Liz: "What happened to finding your feet first?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

Chelsea: "I had planned on that, but then she kissed me today and I decided the original plan sucked"

Michelle: "Aww sweetheart as long as you're happy" she smiled.

Chelsea: "I am actually, I've not felt this good in a long time. It would be better if I was at home with my Mum though, as much as I love you I miss my own space and just being able to cuddle up next to my Mum at nights on the couch"

Michelle: "That's understandable babe, still got a little while yet though"

Chelsea nodded: "I know"

It was some weeks later and the street was preparing for Dierdres return. A surprise party was being planned in the Rovers and all her family and friends would be attending.

Chelsea was sat Roys flat with Carla, Roy was away at Cathys so it was just the two of them. Carla had a pair of straighteners and was pulling them down slowly over Chelseas hair.

Chelsea: "Thanks for doing this, I was gonna stay in the Rovers but I'm just getting in everyones way whilst they're trying to get it all ready"

Carla: "It's alright, it's nice to see you anyway. You never want to come see your boring Mum much these days do you?"

Chelsea: "Yeah I know I'm sorry, I've just had lots on with school trying to catch up and seeing Kirsty and I've taken up basketball now too so that's going to keep me even busier"

Carla: "Basketball?" she asked with an amused look on her face.

Chelsea: "Whats funny about that?" she replied, annoyed.

Carla: "Have you seen the height of you Chelsea, basketball tends to be for people who have a little height about them" she laughed.

Chelsea: "Shorties have their advantages too you know, leave me and my height alone" she said and stuck her tongue out.

Carla: "Is Kirsty going to come today?"

Cheslea: "No she doesn't know Deirdre, that would be weird"

Carla: "Are you planning on ever introducing her to us?" she asked raising her eyebrows.

Chelsa: "Yeah sure, at some point, when I'm ready, ok?"

Carla: "Ok" she smiled.

Chelsea: "What kind of card will I get Deirdre?" she asked.

Carla: "A Happy Birthday one?" she mused.

Chelsea: "No I mean like, do I get her a Grandma one? It's the first year I've celebrated her birthday since Dad adopted me, and I look at her and Ken as Grandparents, and they treat me like a grandchild"

Carla: "It's up to you darling, pick whichever one you feel most comfortable with"

Chelsea: "I'm going to get the Grandma one, and I've seen the nicest vase to get her that she'll love, you know how she loves her pottery and it's hand made"

Carla: "That sounds lovely, you'r every thoughtful aren't you?"

Chelsea: "They've always gotten me awesome presents, it's nice to do it back"

Carla: "Are you heading off now then? That's your hair done" she said unplugging the straighteners.

Chelsea: "Yeah I'll just meet you in the pub?" she asked as she pulled on her black blazer, when Carla had went shopping for clothes for them both she managed to get them a few matching things much to Chelseas dismay, she was already a minature version of Carla without adding matching clothes into the mix.

Carla: "Sure, see you in a bit" she said kissing her on the cheek before Chelsea left.

In the Rovers everyone was sitting with drinks in their hands and smiles on their faces. Liz had went through to Kens to pick up the cake. Carla was sat at the bar with Lloyd, Andrea and Dev. When Liz walked through the door everyone could see something was wrong.

Liz: "I'm sorry to tell you all this, but Dierdre passed away this morning" she choked out, the tears in her eyes.

Everyone was in shock and upset, many of them sat with tear stained faces, saddened by the loss of a dear friend.

Carla: "She was so nice to me, she was the only one who was really accepting of me"

Dev: "She was a great lady, truly one of the best"

Michelle was stood with tears in her eyes, the sadness showing right through when her face turned from sadness to horror.

Michelle: "Oh god Chelsea, she doesn't know yet? When is she due to get here?"

Carlas heart sunk, she hadn't even thought about Chelsea.

Carla: "I'll call her, get her to meet me at Roys and I'll break the news to her there" she said grabbing her bag and phone, putting it to her ear as she left.

Chelsea was at the bus stop holding the bag with Dierdres gift and card in it. Kirsty was sat next to her, an arm around her.

Chelsea: "You know you could always come I suppose? If you're ready to meet my family?"

Kirsty: "I can't babe I've got that dinner with my Mum and Dad for my brothers birthday remember. But I'm definitely up for meeting them another time soon! I'm nervous though"

Chelsea giggled: "You'll be fine, my family are cool, well a bit nutty but aren't they all"

Kirsty: "Your Aunt sounds cool" she said thinking out loud.

Chelsea: "She's the best seriously, you'll love her"

Chelseas phone ringing stopped their conversation, she picked it up and put it to her ear.

Chelsea: "Hey I'm just on my way now Mum...Ok, why though?...Ok I'll see you soon, love you" she said and hung up the call with a look of confusion.

Kirsty: "What's up?"

Chelsea: "I don't know, I need to meet my Mum in the cafe first. I don't know what's going on"

Kirsty: "How did she sound?"

Chelsea: "She didn't sound happy I know that much. Oh god seriously I can't take anymore bad news"

Kirsty took her hand and held it in hers: "Whatevers going on I'm here for you ok?"

Chelsea smiled at her girlfriend: "Thanks"

The bus came and the journey was quick back to the street. She stood outside the cafe and took a deep breath before walking inside. Carla instantly jumped to her feet.

Chelsea: "Mum, whats going on?" she stuttered out, her heart sinking even further when she saw the look on her Mothers face.

Carla: "Baby, you need to sit down" she said softly and pulled out a chair but Chelsea shook her head as the tears threatened to fall.

Chelsea: "I don't want to sit down, just tell me what's wrong?"

Carla sighed and paused for a second trying to find her words. She moved closer and took Chelseas hand holding it between hers.

Carla: "Deirdre passed away this morning darling" she choked as her own emotions threatened to take over.

Chelsea: "What? No? She can't have?" she shook her head vigorously as the tears started to pour.

Carla moved forward and held her tightly: "I'm sorry baby"

Chelsea let out a cry and her body shook as she sobbed before gently pushing her Mother off her.

Chelsea: "What happened? She can't be dead? She was fine yesterday, she was packing her bags to come home, Simon told me, she was so excited. It's her birthday!" she cried.

Carla: "They think it was an aneurism, come on upstairs and sit down eh" she said softly taking her hand but Chelsea pulled it back.

Chelsea: "I need to get some air" she turned and left the Cafe without saying anything else and Carla just stood not knowing what to do once again.

Chelsea walked and walked until she ended up at the red rec. As she walked along she found a seat and sat down as the emotions took over and she cried and cried. She pulled out her phone sending a quick text before pulling her knees up onto the bench and holding them against her. She didn't know how long she'd been sitting but she was eventually broke out her thoughts by Kirsty sitting down beside her and pulling her in tightly.

Chelsea: "I'm so sorry, it's your brother birthday" she sobbed.

Kirsty held on to her even tighter: "Shhh, he'll have other birthdays, it's ok" she soothed.

They sat like that for ages as Chelsea just cried and cried till no more tears could come and then they sat in silence, Kirsty holding onto her.

Chelsea: "We came here once, sat right here on this bench. It was just after my Mum lost the baby. I wasn't coping, and she came round to the flat taking me out with her to take Eccles for a walk. She sat here and just listened to me as I cried, she even apologised for my Dad, it wasn't something she needed to do but she did. She was honestly just so amazing, I used to go round sometimes for a cuppa and we'd sit out the back so she could have a fag" she let out a chuckle at the last part.

Chelsea: "She used to tell me stories about my Dad and about her Mum Blanche, when things were bad she'd always tell me how it was going to get better. These past few months have been strange not having her here, and now I'm never going to see her again. I'm never going to be able to thank her, and to tell her how much it all meant to be" she choked as more tears started rolling down her cheek.

Kirsty: "She'll have known babe" she said softly.

Chelsea nodded as she wiped away the tears: "I better head back, my Mum will be wondering where I am"

Kirsty: "Yeah come on I'll walk you back"

As they walked back Chelsea text her Mum apologising for walking off and asking if she could stay with her at Roys that night, wanting to be close to her. After 15 minutes she tried to phone her as they neared the street, but it went straight to answerphone. She called Roy who said she wasn't there, and tried to call her Mum once more but it was still turned off.

Chelsea: "I'll just go back to the Rovers"

When she walked in Michelle was behind the bar and upon seeing the girls face moved forwards and opened her arms out for her to walk into her embrace. Chelsea felt comforted as her Aunt hugged her.

Chelsea: "Is my Mum here?" she asked looking up at her, still in the embrace.

Michelle: "No darling I thought she was with you" she answered confused.

Chelsea: "I walked off, I was going to stay with her tonight but she's not answered her phone"

Michelle: "She'll get back to you soon enough sweetheart. It's probably just ran out of charge"

Kirsty: "Listen I'll get off, I just wanted to make sure you got back ok"

Michelle: "Thanks for walking her back, I take it you're Kirsty?"

Kirsty nodded and held out her hand allowing Michelle to shake it: "Yeah, it's nice to meet you"

Michelle: "Do you want to come through? You can sit with us for a while?"

Kirsty: "I really should be getting back, unless you want me to stay Chels?"

Chelsea: "No it's ok, thank you for coming and sitting with me, I really appreciate it"

Kirsty moved forward and held her tight: "I told you, anytime you need me I'm there ok, I'll text you later" she broke apart from the embrace and took Chelseas face in her hands, kissing her on the forehead.

Chelsea: "I'll speak to you later"

Kirsty nodded and said goodbye. Michelle took Chelsea through the back and the sat on the sofa cuddled into each other. The night wore on and when 10.30pm came Chelsea was lying with her eyes half closed, tiredness taking over.

Michelle: "Look babe you better go to bed, you'll see your Mum tomorrow ok"

Chelsea nodded sadly, and silently went off to bed. She lay in bed but tossed and turned most of the night. She got up when the sun starting shining in through the split in her curtains, having a quick wash and pulling on clothes. She'd been sat in the living just sitting on the couch for about an hour when she heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Liz walked in and gave the girl a gentle smile.

Liz: "You not been able to sleep either?" she sighed rubbing her eyes.

Chelsea shook her head: "No but not from lack of trying, I'm tired but I can't stop thinking about her" she choked.

Liz: "I know darling I know" she said sitting beside her putting an arm around her.

Liz: "Why don't I go get dressed and we can go round to Roys, your Mum will be up by now won't she?"

Chelsea nodded: "She leaves about 8.30"

Liz went and got ready and took her round to the Cafe. Roy rushed over when he saw the two walk in.

Roy: "How are you both?" he asked softly.

Liz: "We'll be fine, is Carla about?" she nodded her head towards Chelsea.

Roy: "She's already headed to the factory, can I get you's two something?"

Chelsea: "I'm not hungry" she said shaking her head, the thought of food turning her stomach.

Liz: "You need to eat, I bet you never had anything last night did you?" she asked with raised eyebrows and a knowing look.

Chelsea just looked at her, no energy to even attempt to lie. Liz took her shoulders and steered her over to an empty table before taking a seat opposite her.

Roy: "What can I get you's then?" he had his pen and little pad in his hands waiting to write it down.

Liz: "I'll just have a coffee please, and Chelsea can have a bacon roll, what do you want to drink?"

Chelsea: "How come I have to eat and you don't?" she scowled.

Liz: "Because I'm the adult and you're the child, she'll have a cup of tea please Roy" she said firmly.

They sat as Chelsea nibbled at the roll forcing it down but she only ate half and pushed the plate away. She drank the tea before thanking them both and leaving to go to the factory.

When she arrived it was empty but she could see a light coming from the office. She walked in and Carla was at the computer sipping a cup of coffee.

Carla: "What are you doing here?" she asked softly as she stood to approach her.

Chelsea: "Where were you last night?" she looked at her, hurt.

Carla: "I went out, I needed to clear my head myself"

Chelsea: "You couldn't have replied to my messages?" she asked her anger showing through.

Carla: "My phone was dead Chelsea, I never got them till this morning" she reasoned.

Chelsea: "Yeah well you could have at least messaged me this morning, I needed you last night" she said sadly.

Carla: "You were the one that walked out Chelsea" she snapped.

Chelsea looked stung and Carlas face softened: "I'm sorry, come here"

Chelsea sighed, still angry but moved forward into her embrace nevertheless. She wanted to be angry at her but as soon as Carla had her arms around her, she felt herself calm.

Carla: "Listen I've given everyone today off, why don't we spend the day together?"

Chelsea: "I'm so tired Mum, I just want to sleep"

Carla: "That doesn't sound like a bad idea, why don't we go back to Roys. Nap on the couch? He'll be in the cafe"

Chelsea nodded: "Yeah please"

When they got back to the flat, Carla lay across the couch and Chelsea lay along side her with her head laying on her stomach. Carla ran her hand slowly down the young girls hair till she fell asleep. As she sat watching her sleep a notification came through on her phone, a message for a free bet at the local casino. She looked back to the sleeping girl then back to the phone, before gently lifting her daughters head and moving from underneath her. She put a pillow under and put a blanket on her before going to the door, she took one last look then left closing the door quietly behind her.

Lets just assume that I cannot end chapters ok because I always say at the end of each one "I didn't know how to cut it off" and I think it's always going to be like that. So if I end it randomly then you's know why! Ok so as you can see I'm now incorporating Carlas gambling addiction into it, and how this is going to drive a wedge between her and Chelsea, as she's already choosing it over her daughter. Also I know I've never mentioned a relationship between Chelsea and Deirdre before but I had to put stuff in so I could show how its affected her. Please please review everyone :)

Thanks,

CharmedSuperGirl
