Chapter Twenty-Nine: Extinction

That sadistic bellowed laughter echoed throughout the coliseum sending shivers down everyone's spine. It did not matter if you half-demon or full demon; this voice sent a chill down from the nape of the neck, to the end of the tailbone. The demons that were once shouting and applauding the spectacle, cowered in the stands fearful of what the demon king had in store. Not to mention, they were also scared of the beast in the battle arena.

Trigon's devilish laugh sent a shivers down Raven's spine and she collapsed to the ground. Cleaver went to assist since he was closest to the woman, but backed away slowly when the Beast approached her in defense. The woman was still conscious, but weak. Raven held out a hand to the beast's muzzle, showing that she was fine. The Beast quickly turned around to defend Raven when he heard the powerful demon stand from his throne.

"How touching." Trigon said slowly concluding his entertained laugh. "I wondered why my daughter fancied you, and now I know why you are of interested to me." The Beast growled at the demon before him. "I had thought I had wiped your species out centuries ago, but it appears that one has slipped from my sight. Yet, that will be soon to change."

The lupine creature crouched to the ground snarling at the demon. He wanted to defend his mate, even if it meant his demise. The sound of the Beast's growl echoed throughout the stadium, sending many demons quacking in their place.

"Creature, how dare you dare show your teeth towards a superior being?" Trigon's smiled soon turned to an angered expression. "You do not fully comprehend the depth of my power. Though it is beneath me to battle you, I must exterminate the rest of your kind."
