Well here's the next one. This was requested a while ago and it took a little for me to write it but here it is. It's... well, I'll let you get to it but the title of this is 'A Blast from the Past.' Yea probably not going to help, but anyway, for the person who requested this I hope you will enjoy it!
rea: Yea it was, the longest one I have ever written! Glad you enjoyed the riddles ;)
Marty: Yep, that's how Kera became S-Class and she went through a lot! Of course Kera won against Erza here, but she did had her doubts as to how she won. But I can say too that she deserved it.
Guest: I didn't do that one because it was more of a filler Arc and it was really short. Sorry for that though, it didn't really catch my interest.
It was a beautiful day in Magnolia. People were about doing their business while others relaxed and took time off for this warm weather. In the guild Fairy Tail it went almost the same. Some wizards took a short job request while others decided to take the day off and relax.
But of course this was Fairy Tail. Even if they relaxed it wasn't going to be a normal day.
Natsu, Lucy, Kera and Gray were sitting at a table, all bored. The pink haired Dragon Slayer sighed as he leaned his head against his hand. "Ugh, this is so boring… can't we do anything?"
"No fishing." Kera said sternly as she stuffed some food in her mouth. "The last time we went it was a disaster."
"Not my fault that you were pulled into the water." Natsu muttered while looking away. The last fishing trip was indeed a disaster. They went to a big lake where even Natsu hadn't fished yet. First of all it had been boring as hell, Kera's opinion, and a giant fish, if you can call it a fish, had pulled the brunette under water.
Lucy had tried to help her but ended in the water herself. Then, nobody even knew why, Gray froze the lake trapping them in the water. Of course then Natsu tried melting the ice which caused an explosion destroying a few trees around them.
That day Kera refused to go fishing ever again.
Lucy leaned back trying to think of something they could do. "Well… it's a nice day outside. Maybe we could go on a day trip. You know the woods and all that, try to relax."
Gray raised an eyebrow. "Really? The last time we went into the woods Natsu destroyed half of it." He said pointing to the pink haired boy beside him.
"Well why don't you come up with something?" Lucy said with a frown. "I always try and come up with ideas. So why don't you two think of something?"
Kera snorted. "Yea right, like those idiots can come up with anything." She was about to eat more of her food, but the plate was pulled away. "Hey!" She shouted glaring at the two boys in front of her.
Natsu and Gray frowned. "We are not idiots."
"You maybe not." Kera said pointing to Gray. "But he sure is." She said pointing her fork at Natsu.
"Hey!" He shouted but Kera shrugged. "What? It's true."
"I am not an idiot!"
"Then what's the capital of Fiore?" Kera asked with a smirk.
Natsu stopped and tried to think. "Uh… Magnolia?" Kera had to hold in a laugh. "And why do you think that?"
"Because Fairy Tail is in it! That's why!"
Kera clapped her hands. "Bravo! Bravo! Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to Fairy Tail's idiot! The one person who can't even tie his shoes."
Natsu glared at her. "That was one time!"
"You were wearing sandals!" Kera shouted at him.
Lucy glanced at Kera a little confused. She was a little too picky today. She was picking on Natsu like she never has before. Why? It's like she hates him, she never done this before…
The pink haired Dragon Slayer gritted his teeth. "Call me an idiot one more time. I dare you."
Kera opened her mouth but a cough from beside her stopped her. It was Gray and he was giving her the 'you know better' look. She sighed and nodded. "Fine, I'll stop."
At that point Kera started eating her food again and the others calmed down. Lucy was relieved that it didn't get worse. They were so close of having another brawl in here. Suddenly Happy appeared behind Natsu and coughed. "Idiot."
Natsu immediately stood up and pointed at Kera. "That's it! You're going down!"
"What are you… NATSU!" Kera shouted as the pink haired Dragon Slayer jumped on her, sending the both of them to the ground. Both Gray and Lucy sighed shaking their heads. The blonde Celestial Wizard turned her head to see a laughing Happy.
She raised an eyebrow at him. "You happy now?" she asked and the cat nodded as he kept on rolling on the table.
Gray stood up. "I'll go get Erza. Make sure they don't destroy half of the guild."
"How am I supposed to do that!?" Lucy asked as she watched Natsu and Kera on the ground fighting each other. They kept on rolling around the floor, pulling at their hairs and trying to choke one another.
Why did she even think that today would be different?
Right outside of the guild five little bodies were lying on the ground. They were all lying in the grass, completely out cold, but that was about to change.
One of the bodies started to move. The arm slid across the green grass before propping itself on the ground so they could push themselves up. Looking up you can see that the little body was actually of a girl with scarlet hair. She had cuts and bruises around her arm and legs. Her clothes were tattered and she looked a little confused and scared.
Looking around the little girl noticed four more bodies on the ground. Two were boys and there were also two more girls. Right after seeing them they also started to wake up. Slowly one by one they started to sit up.
One of the boys sat up rubbing his pink hair while the girl with blonde hair started to look around nervously. The girl seemed to have really nice clothes while the other boy just simply had normal clothes on while wearing a scarf.
Then there were the other two. The other boy with the black hair was only is his pants and he looked just confused. The other girl though seemed to be freaking out. She had brown hair, but what she noticed was that the girl also had tattered clothes and several injuries, like cuts and bruises, littered across her body. Her green eyes were looking around the place to see where she was, as if she was looking for an enemy that could hurt her.
All of the kids were confused as to what was going on. For her, the last thing she remembered was being pulled away from her cell being punished for the plan of escape she and her friends had came up with… when they… her hand went to her eye and she sighed. Quickly she tore some cloth from her shirt and tied it around her head so it would cover her eye.
Before anyone else could speak, the doors of the building in front of them were smashed open and two figures crashed through and hit the ground. It was Natsu and Kera. The pink haired Dragon Slayer jumped on the brunette. "You're going to pay for calling me an idiot!"
"I didn't say it! God damn it!" Kera shouted pulling at his hair, sending him to the ground. The two kept on rolling around, not even noticing the five kids beside them. Though two of those kids looked extremely shocked.
Kera was able to get on top of Natsu and glared down at him while moving her hair out of her face. "It's not my fault that you're an idiot!"
"I am not an idiot! You are one!" He shouted pulling at her shirt and the two started rolling around again.
"At least I know the capital of Fiore!"
"Oh shut up! Like that's important!"
"Everyone knows that! And yes it's important!"
Natsu pushed Kera's head away. "It's not like I've been there!"
The brunette twitched and that's when she really got down on Natsu. "You idiot! We were there! For the Grand Magic Games! Geez how stupid are you!?"
"I AM NOT STUPID!"
"YES YOU ARE!"
Lucy came running out and saw the situation. "Natsu! Kera!" She shouted trying to get their attention but it was futile. The two were at it nonstop. There was no way she or anyone else could stop them.
"Where are they?"
Well… except for her.
Erza came walking out of the guild and headed towards the two Dragon Slayers on the ground. She had a pissed of look on her face as she headed towards them. When she was in reach she simply kicked them, making them stop moving. Next she grabbed the two off the ground and made them stand up.
Natsu and Kera glared at each other and were about to go at each other again, but Erza stopped them. "Don't you even dare. The first one who makes the move gets a punch in the face, got it?"
The two grumbled something but crossed their arms. Erza glanced at them with a frown. "Now what were you two idiots fighting over this time?"
"See!? She calls you an idiot!" Natsu said pointing at Kera. The brown haired Dragon Slayer growled. "She called you an idiot as well you idiot!" She shouted before both of them tried to lunge at each other again, but before either of them could land a punch they were grabbed and pulled away.
Erza pulled Kera back while Gray and Lucy pulled the other Dragon Slayer away. "Calm down you two!" Gray shouted pulling Natsu back.
Natsu broke free and pointed at the brunette. "She called me an idiot!"
"Well you deserved it!" Kera shouted back sticking her tongue out at him.
Natsu grew aggravated yet again, but he didn't jump on her because Erza was standing in the way and she could be really scary.
Kera glared at him. "You didn't even know what the capital of Fiore was!"
"Really?" Erza asked glancing at Natsu.
The pink haired Dragon Slayer pulled at his hair. "I am not an idiot! Just ask me another question!"
"What's twenty times fifty?" Kera asked with a smirk.
Natsu stayed quiet for a moment and everyone else just sighed. The brunette grinned at him. "See? An idiot."
"Why you little..." Natsu growled and jumped on her yet again. The two hit the ground and tried killing each other yet again.
While they were fighting, both Gray and Lucy finally noticed the five children lying in the grass. How could they have missed them? But that wasn't the shocking part yet. No that was about to come when dumb and dumber two stopped fighting.
But that could take forever so Lucy tried to tell them. "Um guys…" She said, catching the attention of the others. "You might want to see this."
Both Natsu and Kera stopped fighting, but stayed in their position on top of each other, and turned their heads towards what Lucy was trying to show them. Everyone looked shocked and Natsu even opened his mouth.
The five children also looked shocked. Kera pushed Natsu off of her and started crawling towards the children, but stopped half way. "Are they…"
Natsu glanced up at Erza. "I don't know many people with red hair like that."
"Or pink hair." Lucy said a little unsure of what was happening.
The little kids were also unsure of what was happening at the moment. The little boy with pink hair stood up and walked over to them, especially Natsu. The little boy poked him, but then noticed his scarf. "Hey! That's Igneel's!" He shouted before trying to grab for it, but Natsu was quicker.
"Yea it is so hands off." He said, but then the little kid looked shocked. "Wait… are you me!?" the little kid shouted shocked.
Natsu blinked. "Yea… are you me?"
Kera groaned and muttered idiot under her breath. She watched Gray go to the little boy that looked like him. These little kids looked like their younger versions of themselves! But that was impossible!
Gray knelt down and looked at the boy. "Are you Gray Fullbuster?" He asked. The little boy looked up at him and nodded. "Yea, why do you want to know?"
Lucy flinched. "Okay, this is creepy. I think we're seeing our younger selves!" She said.
"This is remarkable…" Erza muttered as she looked at her younger self. The young red head took a step back glaring at her.
Kera then looked at the little brunette girl. If this was all real then… then this was her. Her younger self… when she was… she closed her eyes and shook her head, no this was not the time to think about that.
Or was it?
She tried to get closer to the young brunette but she shrunk and crawled back. Kera stopped and tried to think this trough. She was scared. What should she do? Kera sat down on the grass and lowered her hands. "It's alright, you don't have to be scared."
The little girl still looked unsure. Kera smiled. "You really don't have to be afraid of me. I'm you… well… your older self."
The little girl blinked. She looked at the others and saw that they were all looking at one of the older people. They did seem alike, but that wasn't possible.
Kera herself wasn't sure what this meant, but she tried to get herself to open up. "I know how you feel. You're scared, unsure of what's going on, you don't know what to do or who to trust." She smiled softly. "But… like I said before, I am you, I know what you are going through because I went through it myself."
"Y-You're me?" Little Kera asked and the older one nodded. "Yep… we're the same. Look here." She said grabbing something from under her shirt. She pulled it out and showed it to her. It was the necklace she always had on with her.
Little Kera's eyes went wide. She pulled something from her neck and it was the same necklace. She looked up at the older person with huge eyes. "Y-You… you are me." Out of nowhere little Kera jumped into Kera's arms.
Kera held her and smiled. "Yea, I'm you. Don't worry, you're safe with me." She told her holding her close. The little girl buried her head in her shoulder, hugging her as best as she could.
The brunette felt a hand on her other shoulder. Looking up Kera could see Erza smiling down on her. "Come on, let's see what we can do here."
Kera nodded and picked her up. The others got their other selves and tried to see where they were and what exactly was going on.
"So… you don't know how you got here?" Lucy asked while giving her younger self a worried look. She shook her head. "No… I… I wanted to give papa a present but… but he yelled at me so… so I ran into my room, but then this bright flash blinded me. Next thing I know is waking up here." She said.
Lucy sighed scratching her head. She remembered that day. Her father was really mad at her and all she wanted was to give him a present. She lowered her head but nodded. "Yea… I remember."
"What's the last thing you remember?" Gray asked cocking his head looking at little Gray. The boy turned his head as his eyes went down to the floor. All the children understood that these people were their older selves, how they didn't understand but they didn't care at the moment. They wanted to get away from their life anyway.
Little Gray sighed slightly. "Ur… she… Deliora…" Only those three words made Gray's eyes go wide. He was talking about the time when Ur sacrificed herself to defeat Deliora. He hung his head and nodded slightly. "Yea…"
Erza was just about done putting an eye patch over the little girl's eye. Her heart panged remembering how it happened. She didn't even need to ask what the last thing she remembered because she knew exactly what the last thing she remembered.
The older woman grabbed her chin and made her look at her. She smiled at her. "Don't worry, I promise that it will get better."
Little Erza looked up at her older version and noticed that her eye was perfectly fine. "How…" Erza smiled softly. "A healer, but you'll understand soon enough. But I promise you, it will get better. I know."
The little girl smiled softly.
Natsu glanced at his younger self. "So… what was the last thing you remember?"
Little Natsu crossed his arms and sighed. "Igneel left…" He muttered. Natsu nodded understanding his disappointment very well. He thought that Igneed had abandoned him. Natsu smiled at him before ruffling his hair. "Don't worry about that, he didn't abandon you. I promise."
"Did you find him?" he asked looking up at him.
Natsu's smile vanished and he glanced at Kera. "Yea… something like that… "
Kera leaned down at the little version of herself. "Can you… and I know this is hard… but can you tell me what the last thing you remember? Take your time with it… it's alright."
Little Kera looked up at her but stayed quiet. Kera gave her a soft and reassuring smile. The little girl looked to the ground still shy. Of course Kera understood, she kept to herself, she didn't really trust anyone, she was scared of everyone except Marc.
Kera waited for any answer but it didn't seem like she was going to answer. She sighed but nodded. "It's alright… I know it's hard." She glanced at the others before turning back to little Kera. "Could you wait here? I'll be right back."
Little Kera nodded simply. Kera stood up and headed to the others. They were all standing together trying to figure something out. Erza saw her. "Well?"
"Couldn't get myself to talk." She said.
Lucy smiled. "It's alright, but we have a guess what's going on." She said glancing at the kids before turning back to the others. "We think that they came here after relieving something horrible."
"More like something that changed us. For Natsu it was Igneel disappearing, Gray's teacher died, Lucy realized her father didn't love her and when I was… punished." Erza explained trying to remove the images from her mind. This was before the rebellion, before Jellal found her. This was during her punishment, after they took her eye…
Kera nodded. "Okay… if that's true then…" she tried to think of something that had happened that changed her. One was when Marc was killed but… she didn't look like that. She also had a broken arm and injury around her stomach. She doesn't have either one of those.
So what could possibly have happened? Erza put a hand on her shoulder making her flinch slightly. She looked up at her and the red head gave her a smile. "Hey, you don't have to think about it. What we need to think though is how we're going to handle this. We have to get them back."
"Do we have to?" Natsu asked a little disappointed. "I like having another me around."
Gray and Lucy groaned as they heard this. "One of you is enough." Lucy said. Natsu simply stuck her tongue out at them.
Erza rubbed her forehead. "I… I have absolutely no idea how this should go. I don't even know what we should even do?"
"Tell Makarov? Ask Levy for help? The usual?" Gray suggested.
"Who's going to look after the kids?" Lucy asked. "For all we know both Kera and Erza, well the small versions of them need medical attention."
Erza thought hard. "I think we should split up." She suggested glancing at the others. "Kera and I will go with our little versions to get medical attention from Mira. We don't need Porlyusica breathing down on our necks. While we're doing that maybe you guys should go ask Makarov for advice and maybe even Levy's help on figuring out how they even got here."
Gray smirked. "Sounds like a plan."
"Don't destroy anything." Erza added while glaring at the three people in front of them.
Natsu, Gray and Lucy simply nodded as they stood up straight. Rolling her eyes Erza turned around. "Come on Kera, we need to get them medical attention."
"Yea…" Kera spoke softly.
"Am I seeing two of you?" Mira asked glancing at two grown up versions of Kera and Erza but also small versions of them.
Erza sighed. "It's… complicated. We don't know how they got here ourselves, but what we do know is that they need medical attention. We checked them over and Kera… the younger one, she has a few bruised ribs, a cut across her back that seemed to heal over but should still be checked on and a few bruises and scratches here and there."
Kera nodded. "And Erza's younger version… well you can see it and I think she has a few cuts and bruises as well. Nothing major though."
Mira nodded. "Sure, I think I can handle that. We don't need Porlyusica for this. Let me just get some bandages and we can get started. Oh by the way, Kera… the big one… how are your ribs doing?" she asked while getting some bandages from a drawer.
"Well they were doing fine until someone punched me in the chest… again." Kera said while giving the red head a glare.
Erza scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Well you wanted to train so bad, saying that you could kick my ass."
"Wait you fought Erza?" Mira asked glancing at the red head. "I told you no fights! Your ribs need to heal! Fighting Erza is… is throwing yourself into the pit again!"
Kera rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She muttered.
Mira sighed and turned around with the bandages. "Alright, who's first?" she asked with a smile on her face glancing at the two small children.
Little Kera hid behind her older version so Little Erza decided to go first. The little red head sat on a bed while Mira checked her over again. The grown up Erza was with her making sure everything was alright. But she shot a glance at Kera. The brunette was kneeling down to the little version of herself. She can clearly see that Little Kera was scared.
A hiss from her side was heard. Turning her head she saw the little red head flinch back as Mira put some bandages around her chest. Mira sighed. "Sorry, but I have to tighten it so you won't hurt later on."
"It's alright." Little Erza said. She looked up at her older self. "Can… can I ask a question?"
Erza smiled. "Of course."
"Do I… do I achieve something, will I get out there and will… I be alright?" She asked softly.
The red head smiled and knelt down so she could be on eye level with her. "I can promise you, that you will get out there. Your life will get better. This little… incident you experienced." She said putting a hand on the little girl's head. "Will be the last bad thing you experience. Look at me. I am standing right here, which means you will get through it."
Little Erza smiled softly. Big Erza smirked. "And anyway, that brunette over there." She said motioning to both Kera's. "That will be your little sister. You and her will have such a strong bond that nothing will break it. Your life will get better."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
Mira smiled. "She's sure. Both Erza and Kera are the best team in Fairy Tail. They're close and no one can break them apart. And most importantly, the two of them are very happy."
Little Erza smiled. Her life might get better from there on out. She was looking at her future self and she was doing fine. So she'll be fine as well.
Kera suddenly appeared with her past version on her arms. "Well… she'll let herself get checked out, but only if I do it."
Mira nodded. "Sure, that's not a problem, just do what I tell you."
The brunette nodded and set the little girl on the bed beside little Erza. Kera knelt down to look at herself. "Okay now I'll be doing this, just like you asked, but for me to see your injuries and take care of them you will need to take of your shirt. Alright? Can I?" She asked carefully.
Little Kera nodded and slowly raised her arms up in the air. Kera took that as an indication to move along. She slowly grabbed the shirt and carefully pulled it off. When it was off she could clearly see the bruises and injuries littering across her body, especially her back. She can clearly remember Jacky's whipping… the torture she had to endure from her.
Kera stopped for a moment and Erza noticed her hands shaking slightly. "Kera…" She spoke softly snapping her out of her thoughts. The brunette shook her head. "I'm fine…" She said before grabbing a few bandages.
"You need to tighten them around her chest. It will hurt slightly but it needs to be tight so she won't get hurt later on." Mira explained. Kera nodded her head. "Yea…"
Carefully and slowly she started bandaging little Kera's chest and back. The little girl hissed a few times but that was expected since she had bruised ribs. She apologized a few times as she kept on wrapping.
After a few minutes she was done. Mira handed her a glass. Kera raised an eyebrow. The white haired woman smiled. "That's for the pain. She should drink it."
"This isn't one of your disgusting medicines is it?" She asked but this time the woman shook her head. "Nope, this one is from Porlyusica. She gave us a few bottles so we don't have to visit her all the time."
"You know, now that I'm thinking, Wendy could heal them." Erza suggested.
Kera sighed as she handed little Kera the glass, who surprisingly drank it down without hesitating. "We could, but she's not here. She's out with Cana… saying something about visiting orphans."
"Ah." Erza nodded her head understanding. "Well, when she comes back she could check them up. Maybe she could even get to them, she is more their age than we are."
Mira smiled. "Now, the two of you…" She said pointing to the two grown up versions of Kera and Erza. "You are going to make sure that they will be fine. I'll talk to Master and Levy to see if they can help in any way. But in the mean time, no fighting." She said glaring at them. "And I mean it. For one reason because Kera is still healing, and we don't need another incident here. Understand?" She asked.
"Fine…" Both grumbled.
Lucy, Gray and Natsu were sitting outside waiting for Kera and Erza to come out. Lucy was sitting on a bench while little Lucy was sitting on the table. Lucy was doing her younger versions hair. She sighed slightly knowing that this was all a stupid situation.
Of course she was the only one thinking so. Natsu and Gray… they were fighting… as usual… and the worst of it all?
Even the kids were fighting.
The two grownups were standing there, their heads against each other shooting insults at each other. In front of them the same could be said for the younger ones. Little Natsu and little Gray have known each other for a few hours but it seems like they are already rivals…
"Will father always hate me?"
Lucy turned her head looking at her younger version. She realized what she had said and her eyes went wide. "Oh! No! No he… he doesn't hate you he's just…" She stopped immediately knowing that she was lying to herself… literally…
She took a deep breath. "Listen, papa… he's a busy man and… I know it's hard to understand, but I can promise you that later he will acknowledge you and love you."
"So he does love me?" Little Lucy asked and tears started to prick her face. So many memories started surfacing up. Taking another deep breath she smiled at her. "Yes… he always loved you. He just didn't know how to put his priorities, he was also still sad about… mama passing away."
Little Lucy glanced at the boys a little afraid. "You… you're friends with them? Will I be friends with them?" She asked.
Lucy smiled. "Yes, but don't worry, they are great friends. They will do everything to keep you safe. I promise."
The little girl smiled and Lucy thought she had gotten to her. From the back both Kera and Erza came out with the kids, the little ones bandaged.
Erza sighed. "Well, it looks like we're babysitting."
"We're really going to take care of them?" Natsu asked raising an eyebrow.
Kera glared at him. "Natsu what kind of stupid questions is that? Of course we'll be taking care of them! He's you!" She snapped at him. Natsu muttered something but didn't say anything else.
Gray shook his head. "Idiot…"
Erza sighed. "Mira is going to ask help from Master and Levy. Maybe they know how to solve this little problem."
"What are we going to do until then?" Lucy asked giving them all a glance.
"Easy, we take care of them, make sure they're alright and we'll wait till Levy finds a solution." Erza explained. "But foremost we need to make sure they're alright. Keep them safe. Alright?"
"Um, Erza, I think they'll need some clothes." Kera said picking up the little girl. Little Kera put her arms around her, knowing that she'll be safe with her.
Glancing at Lucy, Gray and Natsu she noticed that they're clothes were still alright. Unfortunately little Erza and little Kera just had some tattered rags as clothes. They couldn't walk around like that.
"Well… looks like we're going clothes shopping." Erza stated and Kera groaned hanging her head slightly.
Little Kera wasn't exactly sure what was going on. She knew that the big woman was, somehow, her from the future. But she didn't understand it at all, how this was even possible. The last thing she remembered was being in the cell with Marc… after Jacky…
She closed her eyes trying to remove the memories from her mind. "You alright?" A voice asked.
Turning her head she saw little Erza giving her a worried glance. Her head went over to her older version and saw that she was talking to the older version of the red head. So they were friends?
Little Erza noticed this and smiled softly. "I know… I can't… it's hard to believe… I can't believe it either but… if this is the future… we'll be alright, won't we?"
The little brunette was still unsure, but she was right. If this was the future then everything will be alright. If this truly was her years into the future, then she will get out of there. But still one question stayed… where was Marc?
Suddenly the older versions came back around. "Alright, we got some clothes for you, you can put them on when we get home. Do you want something else? Ice cream, books, or anything else?" Kera asked.
The two girls looked at her a little confused. Kera sighed, right, they don't know that stuff. Erza put a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "Hey don't worry about it. I think they'd be happy if they see what kind of life they will have in a few years."
Little Erza smiled, already knowing that her life will definitely be better. She couldn't wait for her future. The group was about to leave but a loud crash was heard from behind. Turning their heads they saw people running out of the store they had just exited out. One woman ran to the two, a panicked look on her face. "Please you have to help! There's this crazy man in there threatening to blow up the store!"
"Wait what?" Kera asked confused.
The woman pulled at her arm. "Please help! You two are Fairy Tail wizards! You have to do something! There are still people in there! Even children!"
The two little girls that were listening were shocked when they heard that both of their older versions were wizards… but neither of them had magic!
Erza nodded. "Of course we'll help." She glanced at Kera and motioned to the store. "Come on."
"W-Who's going to look after the kids?" Kera asked glancing at the two girls.
The red head started to think before kneeling down to the girls. "Alright listen, we need to do something real quick. You two stay right here. Got that? Don't move. We'll be right back."
Little Erza nodded her head while little Kera stayed quiet. She just watched the two grownups run into the store. She couldn't believe that she was so brave and confident. And why would she go in there… she doesn't have magic.
Little Erza pushed her slightly. "Hey, don't be so down. It looks like they can handle it. And I guess we're wizards."
"No we're not… at least not me…" She muttered looking away.
The little red haired girl wasn't sure what she should do. The girl beside her was shy and held back. She also doesn't have any self esteem. She wondered what she had to go through. Those scars on her back didn't look so good either.
Could she help her?
Both flinched when they heard a loud crash coming from inside the building. They turned around and saw a man being thrown out of the building. He looked a little battered up and his face was filled with panic.
He scrambled back up to his feet and started running down the other way. A few seconds later both Kera and Erza burst out of the building looking around. "Over there!" Erza shouted seeing the man running off.
Immediately Kera ran after him. Little Kera saw this and her eyes went wide. She watched her older self run after the man.
Kera gritted her teeth. "Stop right now!" She shouted, but the man ignored her. She growled. "Alright, we'll do it the hard way." She raised her arm and suddenly an earth wall appeared right in front of the man. He stopped before hitting the wall. "Ow…" He muttered.
He quickly got on his feet and turned around. Kera was standing in front of him. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Just stand down." She told him.
"Yea right, like I'm standing down." He said cracking his knuckles. He slammed them together and suddenly the earth started shaking. Kera tried to get a footing but it was proving to be difficult.
The brunette had enough of this. She quickly took a deep breath. "Elemental Dragon: Roar!"
The man's eyes went wide when he saw a bright light headed straight for him. The attack had hit the back wall, missing the man by just a few inches. He was standing there completely freaking out.
The ground stopped shaking and Kera wiped her mouth. "Now… stand down?"
He started shaking but simply hit the ground on his knees, raising his hands in the air. He was giving up. Erza arrived and smiled. "Looks like you have everything under control." She said with a smirk.
Kera snorted walking to the guy and moving his arms behind his back. She then covered his hands behind his back with earth so he wouldn't do anything stupid. "You could have done something."
"Ah, you were doing fine. Also I think someone needed to see this." Erza told her. Kera was confused but looked where she motioned towards. She saw little Kera looking at her with wide eyes.
Even little Erza was amazed. They couldn't believe what they saw, especially little Kera. She saw her future self use magic! And strong one for the matter!
So she wasn't weak?
She wasn't pathetic…
She actually grew up into something amazing!
Some guards came and brought the man away. Both Kera and Erza walked back to the little kids with a smile on their face. "So… sorry for that." Kera said with a sheepish smile.
Little Erza shook her head. "You were amazing! You can use magic like that!?"
Kera chuckled. "Yea… we both can… you both can actually." She said.
Little Kera looked up at the older brunette with a little hope in her eyes. "I… I can use magic? B-But they said… I-I was weak a-and pathetic…"
The brunette quickly knelt down towards her. "Don't ever say that. They are lying. They are bad people that just want to bring you down. You are not weak or pathetic. You will be able to use magic, it's just a matter of time. By the time you get out of there you will learn to use magic. You will become a strong person. No, you are a strong person. Look at me, look at the life I have now. You will get that life too. Just wait."
"But where's Marc?"
Kera flinched hearing that name. Erza saw this and put a hand on her shoulder for comfort. The brunette took a deep breath before looking the little girl in the eyes. "Marc… he… he had to leave… he had some things to do."
"Oh…" Little Kera muttered. "But… he said we would have a life together."
"You will." Kera said a soft smile on her face. "Now come on. Let's head back to the guild. I think we should spend some time together."
Little Kera nodded her head before jumping up and following the older one. Little Erza got up as well but was stopped by her older version. She gave her a confused look, but saw her smiling. Erza knelt down. "Listen… I know… sometimes things can be rough, the universe is against you and you think that nothing can get better. But remember something. Family will always be there for you."
"But… I don't have a family… mama and papa died in the fire…" Little Erza told her. Erza sighed and nodded her head. "I… I know, but when you join Fairy Tail you will gain a new family. At first they might be a little idiotic… but they are all great friends."
"Why did you take Kera under your wing?" Little Erza asked.
The red head smiled. "Because… at first it looks like she needs me, but you will need her too. The two of you have lost a lot and experienced a lot as well, the two of you can relate, that's why the two of you can be there for each other. You two support each other, the two of you protect each other. Also… I can't stand anyone being alone."
Little Erza smiled. "Well… she seems great. Though she doesn't have a lot of self esteem."
"No she doesn't, but that's where you help her." Erza said giving her a slight push.
The little girl smiled. "Oh by the way! What kind of magic can I use?" She asked.
"Requip magic, you're like a knight." Erza told her. "Now come on, let's catch up to Kera." The little girl nodded her head and they quickly ran after the brunettes.
It's been a few days since the kids arrived and neither the Master nor Levy knew how to get them back to their time. Natsu asked what was so wrong with having them here and that's when Makarov explained that if something happens to them that the grown up versions will cease to exist. He even didn't know what will happen if they stayed here for too long.
And everyone agreed that two Natsu's and two Gray's were way too much… actually having two of all of them was way too much. Some people were getting very annoyed by this.
Evergreen pulled at her hair as she heard another laughing fit from an annoying person. "Will you shut up!? I can't hear your voice anymore!" She snapped turning her hair glaring at Kera.
The brunette glared at her. "Up yours Ever." The Elemental Dragon Slayer was sitting there with her little version talking about ridiculous stuff. She noticed that the little girl opened up a lot these last few days.
Evergreen got up and walked over to her. "Say that one more time. I dare you."
Kera smirked. "Why? What can you do?"
"Kera! Ever! Don't you two start fighting again or I will personally end it myself." Erza shouted from across the hall.
Both Ever and Kera grumbled something before muttering a fine. Little Kera smiled softly. "So why do you fight with them? Are they bad people?" She asked.
Kera chuckled but shook her head. "No, we fight because we love each other. We're one big happy family. And we fight because it's part of being a family. Natsu and Gray always fight, but when it comes down the line they will stand together fighting to the end."
Little Kera smiled softly. "You are really nice."
"You'll have this life as well, just wait." She said. "And anyway, you're making friends with our little versions."
Little Kera blushed slightly. "Yea… it's… hard but I'm trying."
"Don't worry, Natsu and Gray might be idiots and Erza might be a little strict but in the end they all love you and you love them. And Lucy is the only sane person you can talk to." Kera told her with a smile.
Out of nowhere Levy came crashing through the door. "I got it!" She shouted.
Everyone looked at her shocked. Natsu popped his head up where little Natsu was sitting on his shoulder. "What's up Levy?" He asked.
"I found a way to get them back." She said holding a book in her hands. Lucy stood up a little surprised. "Really? So there is a way?"
Levy nodded. "Yes, and it's actually easy. It was a little difficult to find it, but we can bring them back to their own time."
"Well that's a relief." Erza said walking up to the blue haired girl. "Who knows what kind of effect it would have if they stayed too long."
Natsu stood up, little Natsu still on his shoulders. "What do you mean?"
"What she means is that if they stay for too long then there might be a chance that it will change the flow of time." Lucy explained giving the Dragon Slayer a death glare. "For all we know, if they stay here you might not exist like this."
"I'm confused."
Everyone in the guild groaned.
Shaking her head Erza turned to Levy. "So they'll be sent back to their time? What about the fact that they could change the timeline? They could change the future."
Levy smirked as she shook her head. "Normally that would be a problem, but this spell also removes any memory of their time being here. They won't remember a thing when they get back."
"What!?" A voice shouted from the back.
They turned around and saw Kera standing up. "Are you saying, they won't remember anything!?"
Levy nodded. "It's to protect the timeline. If they keep their memories they might change the flow of time. We don't know what could happen. Things could change."
"You can't be serious…" Kera muttered.
"Kera." Erza spoke but the brunette shook her head. "No, I can't let this happen! I can't just send her back to that hell hole! To that… that psycho!"
The red head walked over to her. "Kera, we can't keep them here."
"Why not!?" Kera shouted. "I can keep her safe! She doesn't have to go back!"
"Yes she does!" Erza snapped slightly. "If she doesn't go back you might cease to exist! Don't you get it? Everything that has happened up till now won't have happened! You won't exist!"
Kera pushed her back, an angry look on her face, but the red head could see tears threatening to fall down her face. "You have no idea what that hell hole is like. Every day is a punishment, I can't just send her back! She's scared and I promised her that she wouldn't have to go back there! You have no idea what kind of pain I had to feel though all those years!"
She felt a sudden pain against her cheek. Kera was shocked to see that Erza had slapped her. The red head was furious. Gray, Lucy and Natsu saw this and grew pale. "Oh uh… everyone run!" Natsu shouted.
The little kids though were looking at the scene with curiosity, though some of them were a little scared themselves. Little Kera shrunk back but little Erza had pulled her back, trying to calm her down and tell her that everything would be alright.
Erza gritted her teeth at Kera. "Don't. Don't you ever say to me that I don't know the pain you went through, the pain of punishment, the pain of losing your family, the pain of thinking that you're nothing more than trash."
"At least you had friends helping you out!" Kera shouted. "You had people that would pick you up. I had no one except for Marc! And even then they would beat me to a pulp, beat me until my last breath!"
Erza was about to retort back but a little, young and squeaky voice spoke up. "I'll go."
The two girls turned around and saw little Kera standing right beside them.
Kera was shocked but the little version of her spoke first. "I… I have to go back. If I don't… I won't have this life."
"But…" Kera spoke but the little girl shook her head. "You told me to be strong and that's what I'm trying to do now. I… I will survive… because you did."
Kera smiled softly and knelt down to the young brunette. "You are strong. I'm sorry you have to go back."
"It's alright… my life will get better and knowing that, I can easily go back without so many doubts." The little girl spoke.
Kera could feel a hand on her shoulder and saw Erza standing over her. "We have to do this Kera." Taking a deep breath the brunette nodded her head. "Okay…" She whispered before standing up.
In the meantime Levy had prepared everything with the help of Lucy and things were ready to go. Kera was still a little unsure but her little version was right. If she doesn't go back she won't have the life she had now. Who knows what would happen.
Levy looked at the book. "Alright, the kids have to stand together." She spoke. It just took a few seconds to put the kids all together, but after a while they were all standing side by side. Some of them were a little unsure, wanting to stay where they were now, but some, like little Kera, knew they had to go back. If they don't they might not get the happy ending they have now.
Levy smiled softly at the kids. "Hang on. It might tingle slightly." She said before starting to chant something. A light started to surround the kids and before anyone knew they were gone, hopefully back to their time.
Not even a second later when the kids were gone, Kera left the guild. Natsu saw her leave and was about to go after her. That is until a hand stopped him. Turning around he saw Erza standing behind him with an emotionless expression. "I'll go talk to her." She said simply before leaving.
Lucy sighed slightly as she leaned back. "So…"
"So…" Gray started as well. There was an awkward silence in the guild hall.
That is until Mira broke the silence. "Who wants drinks!?"
"ME!" Almost everyone in the guild shouted at the same time.
Erza walked around the guild trying to find the brunette. She wondered where she had run off to. She knew she had problems dealing with her past and seeing her younger version from that time was a lot to take in, especially when she had to send her back there.
Discussing, a few words were spoken that weren't meant. She wanted to apologize but also make sure she was alright.
It took her a while but she did find Kera eventually. She was sitting on top of a hill looking out at the town. She smiled sadly, walking towards her. She knew she was down and needed cheering up, so she tried to do exactly that.
The red head sat down next to her and smiled. "So… there's a new pastry shop down town that sells really good hot chocolates. At least that's what I was told."
"Sorry…"
Erza gave the brunette a confused look. "For what?"
Kera sighed rubbing the back of her head. "For saying that… that you don't know the pain I went through. I know what you went through and what I said was out of line."
She pushed her slightly while chuckling. "I know you didn't mean that Kera. You don't have to apologize."
The brunette sighed while going through her hair with her hand. Erza pushed her again. "Stop worrying Kera. Everything will be fine."
"Just give me a moment…" She whispered holding her head. Due to the arrival of those little kids, a lot of memories surfaced up that she would have rather kept buried.
"You're with friends now. You're not alone anymore. We got each other's backs, alright?" Erza told her and Kera nodded softly.
Kera sighed rubbing the back of her head. "You do know that I appreciate you and the others, right?"
Erza raised an eyebrow at her. "What are you saying?"
"I mean… if it weren't for you guys… who knows where I'd be and what I'd be… if I would even be alive that is." Kera said with a soft smile. "I practically owe my life to you all. You saved me when I collapsed in the guild with that injury. You forced me to be your friend, trained with me, helped me in my time of need. And years later, when I had to deal with my past you helped me even there. A lot of people would have just left me…" Kera said lowering her head to look at the grass by her feet.
The red head smiled softly. "You're our friend Kera. You're part of this family now and we'll do anything to keep you safe. It's what we do."
There was a moment of silence before Kera spoke again. "You know, Natsu and Lucy told me what you did when you thought I had died."
Hearing this Erza didn't know how to react. What had they told her? She saw a small smile form on her face. "They told me that… that you wanted to avenge me. Deal with Ottoma yourself. You asked Levy about him and went by yourself to get rid of him."
"Kera…" Erza spoke but Kera wasn't finished. She turned her head to look at the red head. "No one else would have done that for me Erza. No one. Yet you decided to go off by yourself to deal with the most wanted man in all of Fiore."
Erza sighed. "I… couldn't let your death be just like that. I couldn't help you in the tower so I decided I could at least deal with the people that had hurt you so much."
Kera smiled. "Thank you. You're really the best sister I can have, even though it was most likely a suicide mission."
"But that suicide mission ended up in bringing you back." She said and both girls chuckled. Kera looked out at the town again and smiled. Fairy Tail was great. They were her family and there was nothing that could break them apart. Kera would also do anything to keep them safe, the same as they would make sure she was safe.
A moment of silence left the two girls to simply sit there, gazing out at the town.
"So about that hot chocolate…"
Erza started laughing as she held herself. Kera smirked slightly. "You brought it up, so it's your fault."
"Of course." She said nodding her head. She got up and held out a hand towards Kera. "Well come on. It won't come to us."
Kera snorted. "Yea unfortunately." She said grabbing her hand. Erza pulled her up and before the brunette could move, Erza pulled her in a hug which Kera accepted gladly. After a few moments they parted and the red head led her little sister towards town. "Now let's get that hot chocolate."
Hope it was good and that you all enjoyed it! Not as long as the other one but still hopefully good ;) Anyway, don't forget to leave a review behind and if you have a request leave it down in the review as well or PM me ;)
