Story of the Cactus

Part III
***

Last time the cactus ended in a never-ending pitch black pit... Let us continue from there.

~oOo~

As darkness grew around it, turning blacker and blacker, the lil' cactus thought that its time had finally come and it would never see Lord Starscream again.

But fate held other plans…

Its jar clanged against a rock, the crack on it growing wider and wider, some dirt dripping through the gap.

'Oh no!' The plant thought, 'if this keeps up I'm sure to perish!'

Suddenly the pitch-black emptiness was filled with brightness and noise. The cactus landed on its side on top of a glowing pile. Sounds of drilling and heavy footsteps filled the cavern the green plant had ended up in.

As quickly as it had fallen through dark to light, the lil' cactus was moving upwards with the pile it was on, higher and higher, up to the surface and even higher.

As it rose towards the sky, the shadow of the vessel it was accidentally being transported to fell over the small plant.

When finally on board, a Vehicon happened to stumble upon the cactus decorating the Energon cube pile, and lifting it up headed towards the med bay to ask the medic what the thing was, the drone fully certain that it was nothing more than a piece of trash (it was later discovered that the Vehicon in question was brand new to the ship).

Halfway through the path to the medical center Commander (LORD!) Starscream happened to pass the fated Vehicon.

The seeker halted in his steps and spun around. "YOU! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT!"

The trooper jerked and the little cactus fell from his servos, closing on its doom as the floor got closer to it.

"NOOOOO!" The second-in-command (LORD!) dived for his beloved cactus catching it in the nick of time.

And the cactus had come home. (YAY!)

In the caring servos of Commander ("Let me spell it for you human: L-O-R-D-!") Starscream, the little green cactus lived happily ever after.

~oOo~

And the story of this brave little cactus will be told for millennia to come. It will inspire countless civilizations, spark new ideas and give hope in times of despair!
