Chapter 29 All and Completely Yours

"So what's the plan for today?"

Byakuya looked up from the paper he was reading. There was a startlingly detailed article about the crash, but their names were kept out of it, just referring to them as the 'couple'. Byakuya felt a wave of sympathy for the pilots family. The funeral was going to be in a weeks time with all the island paying tribute to him.

"Coverage about the accident already?" Rukia asked, not really wanting to see the photos. Everything was just to raw yet.

Wanting to take her mind off things, Byakuya set the paper aside, and drew her close.

Settling into his lap, she sighed and closed her eyes. "I'd be perfectly happy to spend the day here alone with you." She had a look in her eyes he had never seen before.

Clearing his throat, Byakuya stood and set her on her feet. "We have one day left here, why not spend it outside just wandering through the shops. We could stop at that lovely garden for lunch."

She sighed a bit. Was she disappointed? But nodded.

With her hand in his, they moved about the shops and restaurants. Days ago, Rukia would have felt really weird walking in such a way, being an obvious couple surrounded by so many people, but now she was completely content just being by his side and feeling his constant touch.

"Glad to see things have warmed up between you!" came a woman's voice.

Looking around, Rukia finally spotted the source of the voice. It was the woman running the stall where she had gotten her charm bracelet. Unfortunately, she had lost some of the charms in the accident.

Moving closer, the woman gave her a big smile and a telling wink as she stared at their clasped hands.

"I have some really nice charms, just arrived." the woman gestured to a small rotating display.

While Rukia studied the display, Byakuya found his attention drawn to the woman. Something about her seemed familiar.

"Byakuya, what do you think about this one?" she was holding up a little white flower charm.

Tearing his eyes from the woman, he turned to the display, right away something catching his attention.

"This one," he said.

Rukia looked at the charm and felt her heart warm. It was a little snowflake on a speciously cherry petal shaped background. It was if it was made for them. Now finally together.

After insisting in paying, Byakuya paused for a moment.

"Are you perhaps related to a woman named Berdine?"

Rukia's eyes went large and she suddenly saw it.

"Oh, she's my sister!" the woman exclaimed. "When did you get a chance to meet her? Did you by chance hear about the accident? Isn't it just awful."

"Yes," Rukia agreed and Byakuya remained silent. Somehow she felt uncomfortable discussing it here.

After giving her thanks, Rukia tucked her little bag into her purse, and together Byakuya and her moved off farther down the street.

They stopped for lunch at a little café they had tried on their first full day. Before awkwardness had ruled their quiet conversation, but now she sat right up against him and they chatted at ease. Byakuya had warmed up so much over the last few weeks. He had arrived cold and closed off, but ever so slowly she had melted his heart. He even flashed a warm smile now and again, which would have been unheard of before.

"I want to go to the beach next."

Byakuya glanced at the setting sun. Indeed this would be a good time to go and visit the ocean one last time. Hand in hand, with their bags dropped off back at their hotel, they made their way to the sandy beach. Unfortunately, it was a bit crowed, as expected, but they still stood together at the waters edge and watched the setting sun.

"I wish this moment could last forever," she sighed, leaning into his body more. Byakuya, with his arms around her, silently agreed.

But nothing could stop time, and before they knew it, the sun had dipped down below the horizon. Sighing softly, Rukia let Byakuya lead her back to the hotel. They had just entered the doors when the manager rushed up to them.

"I beg your pardon sir, but it's finally ready."

Rukia looked to Byakuya in confusion.

He simply nodded and lead Rukia to the elevator. She was even more confused when, instead of punching in their floor, instead pushed a blank button at the bottom of the menu.

"Where are we going?" she asked, but he just smiled slightly, a strange look in his eyes.

When the door opened, she found herself staring at a blank hall. Byakuya took her hand and lead her down the hall and through a doorway. Her breath caught in her throat at what she saw.

Millions of stars twinkled softly overhead as a warm sweet breeze blew over them.

There were walls, rooms, a fancy marble floor… but no ceiling. Even the 'walls' if you could call them, were elegantly designed. Some no more then glass or wrought iron work, decorated with flowers and plants. A large fountain sat directly in front of them. The centerpiece of it being a man and woman, both naked, in each others embrace. The mans one arm was upraised, the water pouring from his palm. It was seductive yet startlingly beautiful. Large rose covered pillars surrounded the edges of the circular room and off to one side, under a canopy of flowering red roses sat a silver wrought table for two, covered in hot steaming dishes. Four servers in black tie stood carefully over to the side, along with other various trays and dishes. A single musician sat, a violin ready.

"This is the open air penthouse suite." Byakuya said softly.

She could only gasp.

"I would have requested it anyway, but the manager insisted that we have it anyway for our last night."

Rukia walked farther in the room, her shoes clicking softly on the polished marble floor. She ran her fingers over the edge of the white marble fountain, starting up at the couple, so unashamedly locked together in passion. She didn't hear Byakuya's footsteps and nearly jumped when he place his hand on her shoulder.

"I have one last request for you." he said softly. "With such surroundings we should be dressed for the occasion."

She turned as one of the servers approached with two large flat boxes. "If you come this way sir, madam."

Rukia followed in silence staring at everything in almost stunned wonder. They passed the large columns and moved into a smaller hall. The walls had soft black roses climbing up their surfaces. Over head, she just caught sight of a shooting star.

Was this all a dream? It was just to perfect to be real!

"Madam," the server said standing by an open door. Byakuya had already disappeared through a second door. She took the box and disappeared inside.

Byakuya stood by the small table, his hands clasped behind his back staring out into the night. Far down below the soft yellow glow of the night life lit the streets and surroundings, but all the way up here all that really mattered was the gorgeous starlight. He briefly wondered how they kept this place so immaculate, especially when things like storms hit. His pondering came to an end when he heard soft footsteps approach. Turning around everything else was suddenly wiped from his mind.

Standing there, she truly looked like an angel… or a bride. He felt his face warm a bit at the thought.

The dress was relatively simple in style. Just floor length skirts and a simple white bodice with small spaghetti straps. A light silk coat covered her shoulders, but left them visible due to the transparency of the fabric. But it was the details that made it so special. The bodice was entirely beaded with small pink and white pearls. Little lace cherry petals floated among the storm of white beads and decorated the hem of her skirts. Her neck was naked, as were her hands, but her hair was done up in an elaborate design of swirls and beaded accents. Standing there, in a white innocent dress, with the starlight in her eyes, Byakuya was truly at a loss for words.

"I've never seen a washroom so amazing," she said finally turning her eyes towards him. "They even had a hair dresser who-"

Her words failed her.

Byakuya shifted uneasily on his feet, aware that what he looked like was nothing compared to her beauty.

Rukia on the other hand would disagree with those thoughts. He was all in white himself. Dressed in a tailor made suit that hugged his shape perfectly and only helped to accent the fairness of his skin and of the darkness of his eyes and hair. A single dark pink rose decorated his lapel. The rest, buttons, belt, cuff links were all silver. The soft breeze gently blew out his long hair for the moment, starlight sparkling on the shiny strands.

She took a step closer, each still staring at the other.

"Ahem," said one waiter politely after a moment. "Dinner is served."

Rukia blinked, realized she was staring, and blushed prettily.

Byakuya moved and offered her a chair. When she sat, he couldn't help but gently run his finger over her cheek bone.

"You look so beautiful." he whispered as she started up at him.

She smiled again, her meekness suddenly shining through again.

"Well then, shall we?" he said clearing his throat.

The food was delicious, but looking back Rukia couldn't remember a thing of what she ate. Her whole attention was on him… and throughout the whole time her heart hammered nervously in her chest. She tried to just focus on her food, but her mind just kept wandering to other… things. Like what else was going to happen tonight. Did she dare to believe that something special was going to happen? They had almost gone all the way a few nights ago and that had ended in a disastrous event which lead to a night of tears. True, they seemed to have passed that and Byakuya seemed more at ease with the closeness of their relationship… but…

Shaking her head, she cleared the negative thoughts from her head. She had made up her mind, she belonged with him and nothing anymore would keep them apart.

Finishing up her dessert, she sipped at her wine and stared out into the night. The moon was out and reflected on the calm ocean. Millions of starts twinkled around her and she felt the breeze swirl around and gently lift her hair. It was such a calm and serine feeling. At that moment she didn't notice Byakuya watching her carefully. He seemed more uneasy then her, fingering something in his pocket absentmindedly.

"Care for a dance?"

His deep voice brought her attention back. She blushed slightly at being caught daydreaming.

Taking her hand gently, Byakuya lead her a distance away from the table. Holding her tenderly, he lead in a soft slow dance. Rukia sighed softly and rested her head against his chest, listing to the sound of his heart more so then the gentle music the violinist played.

"I never want this to end," she suddenly whispered, not looking up. Instead her eyes were on the ocean once again.

When he didn't reply she tilted her head up and looked into his eyes.

"Do you love me?" he asked quietly.

She stared at him. "What kind of question is that?" She grinned.

"I want an answer. Don't make me repeat myself again. Do you truly love me?"

"Of course I do!" she exclaimed, confusion showing on her face. "How could you even ask me that after all that happened. Surely-"

"Will you marry me?"

The world suddenly stopped turning. She let go of him and took a step back. Had she just heard what she thought she had? Or was this another dream? Another wicked dream, where everything she ever wanted happened… only to wake up in reality. Really if this was all a dream it just wasn't fair!

"Will you marry me?" he asked again, his dark eyes unreadable.

There it was again. How could her dream mock her in such a way? Maybe if she pinched herself she'd wake up… but a big part of her wanted this dream to carry out to its finish. Even if she was devastated once she woke up, at least she could be in bliss for a moment….

"Rukia?"

To hell with it! She'd play along with everything, just to see how the dream would turn out.

"But aren't we going back tomorrow?" she finally said, grinning to herself, betting that dream Byakuya wouldn't expect that sort of reply.

"That's not important now. Will you marry me?" he asked again, his eyes dark and intense.

"Sure," she said shrugging. "But there's no one to perform the ceremony… no one to-"

"No one is needed. Only the stars are our witnesses."

She stared at him, rather seriously. "But that won't be official! It-"

Her words were cut off by his mouth on hers. She had kissed him so many times now, but this kiss was so much different. She suddenly felt herself submerged in so much love and passion that she thought she'd drown, and happily so. She could feel all of him. The life in him surged up and surrounded her, cutting off all sense of reality. And at that moment, she truly realized that this was no dream. A dream could never contain so much love and passion, it would just be to much for it. Dream realities would simply crumble and fade away. At that moment everything settled into her brain. This man, this beautiful perfect man whom she had only just dare admire from a distance had fallen for her and was now offering her everything he had. Her legs would have given out, had he not been holding her against him. She could feel his heart pounding in his chest, the fast beats matching hears almost perfectly. This was the moment. The moment her life would change forever.

"I'll ask again, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" she breathed, her lips still brushing against his, as she spoke.

She stared at him for a moment longer, before breaking into a blazing smile. "Of course I will!" She moved to kiss him again but he pushed her back to arms length, and reached into his coat.

Her eyes went wider again when the small box was produced.

"When did you have time t-" She trailed off as he opened the box and she found herself looking at the prettiest ring she had ever seen. It wasn't over the top, but simple and elegant…. And expensive looking.

"It's beautiful." she gasped and stared as he slowly slipped the ring onto her hand.

"I couldn't help but stare at your hand as we ate." he admitted. "It just seemed so bare and lonely."

"And you found the perfect thing for it." she said beaming. She made to kiss him again when he took a step back, his face becoming serious. He reached out and took her hand in his.

"Rukia, will you take me as your husband, from this day forward, to love and cherish till death do us part?"

"Yes," she breathed "I do," tears of happiness starting to form.

She stared into his beautiful eyes, getting lost in those endless pools.

"Um- W-will you t-take me as your w-wife? From this day forward to the day we die? T-to l-love and to cherish- um…I think I-"

"I do." he said, covering her stumbling, which was to be expected of course under the circumstances.

"Then from this day forward, witnessed by the endless number of stars in the heavens, I pronounce us husband and wife. You may kiss the-"

It was Byakuya's turn to be cut off as her lips fell on his once again.

Time seemed to slow again. For the longest time they just stood in each others arms. Rukia, her head on his chest once again, didn't even bother looking out to the sea or stars. They both seemed so dim compared to what just happened. It didn't even really seem real! Of course it wasn't official, but to both of them, their promise was forever. She opened her eyes as her hand, with that beautiful ring, moved slightly against his chest. She stared at it, at the promise they had made to each other. He belonged to her now, truly and completely. Her heart soared and her head felt light, she had never been so happy in her life! Tears begin to make her eye sight blurry and she turned, burring her head in his chest, not noticing the quickening of his heart beat.

Finally they parted a bit and Byakuya took her hand, leading her away from the edge of the building.

"Come," he said. "I want you to see the rest of the suite." He paused, then added.. "My wife"

Byakuya took her from the fountain room and down numerous halls. She looked but didn't really see. Her mind was just to fuzzy and warm at the moment to take it all in. She felt as if she were floating. The suit had everything she could imagine. A dinning room, kitchen, countless bathrooms, even a small glass enclosed library and sitting room. All decorated to accent the open air atmosphere.

Finally Byakuya pushed open a large silver colored door and she felt her heart rate increase. She actually let go of his hand and waked into the room herself.

"There are other places perhaps we could visit as well… before returning?" Byakuya said quietly behind her.

She turned to look at him. Her big beautiful eyes taking him in.

"I'm not interested in the rooms, " she said. "All that matters to me is you."

She moved to him and took his hands in hers. "I could care less about our location. A marvelous castle or the simplest of barns, it wouldn't matter at all… as long as you are with me."

He watched her silently for only a moment, before his lips crashed down on hers. Wrapping his arms around her he lifted her right from the ground. She responded by kissing him back so fiercely that he lost his breath.

They broke apart for only a moment.

"I love you so much!" she whispered, tears of happiness forming in the corners of her eyes. He responded by kissing them away.

Moving farther into the room, they broke their kisses long enough to properly gaze at the beautiful room.

Like all the others, the room had no ceiling. It opened up to the night, allowing a wondrous view of the stars. One of the walls was simply a silver wrought balcony railing that over looked the ocean, and all around were beautiful exotic plants and petals. A gentle breeze caught some of the petals and swirled them around the soft carpeted floor also stirring many of the silk hangings that were the rooms other walls. Elegant furniture dotted the room, and even a small fountain sat in the corner surrounded by black and red roses. But more then that, their eyes fell on the huge bed in the center of the room. Each corner was trimmed with large posts where soft white silk flapped lazily in the breeze. It matched the sheets and decor of the whole area, giving it a fuzzy fairy tail look.

"It is beautiful!" she said softly.

"Hmm," he replied quietly, watching her more then their surroundings.

She turned to him and found herself staring into his eyes. She suddenly blushed, reality suddenly hitting her.

"You just did the whole marriage scene so you won't feel guilty about… about that.." she gestured to the bed, trying to say something to hide her nervousness.

He tilted his head to the side. "do you really think that?"

"Of course not," she blushed harder. She was prepared for this and she desperately wanted to be with him in every way, but facing the bed now and knowing what was about to happen she couldn't help but feel nervous.

They stood quietly for a moment, then slowly Byakuya drew them apart to arms length. He gently tilted her head up, looking into her eyes.

"I love you so much," he whispered, his eyes dark and serious. "I won't do anything that you're uncomfortable with. If you just want to sleep in my arms like last night I won't mind-"

He was cut off by her lips.

"Don't be silly" she panted slightly, her cheeks red. Her hand came up and touched his face. First his temple, then to his cheekbone and down his jaw. His skin was so smooth under her fingers. Her fingers drifted to his tie, sliding into it, and loosening it.

His eyes were intense as he stared into her soul.

The tie fell to the floor and her fingers gently undid his first button, exposing the soft flesh of his neck. Her fingers gently touched the hollow of his throat and so intense was her attention to it, that she missed the darkening of his eyes.

The next button was undone, followed by a few more. Her fingers moved from his neck, over his defined collar bones to the top of his chest. She could feel his pounding heart as her hands slid over his firm warm flesh.

A breeze suddenly washed over her and she shivered, only then realizing that her thin coat had magically been removed. Her head moved to automatically look for it, when his lips once again stopped her, but on her now bare shoulder instead of her mouth. The spaghetti straps on her dress were missing now too… but she was rapidly loosing interest in her clothing, as his sinfully delicious mouth moved over her shoulder and neck.

A soft moan seemed to come from no where as his tongue found the hollow of her throat. It felt as if sparks were rushing down her spine as he nipped at her neck, and her fingers and hands seemed to have a life of their own as they began to move over him.

Very soon his coat found it's way to the floor to join her own.

Despite everything, she felt her face redden as his shirt fell to the ground and she found herself face to face with his bare torso. Heck, last night they had bathed together completely naked, why would this, just seeing his bare chest, cause so much issue?

"It feels different," he suddenly muttered, pulling away from her neck and nearly making her jump.

"Because of what's going to happen? She managed to breathe.

"Not just that…" He reached down and took her hand in his, pressing it to his chest. She blinked as she felt his racing heart. He was nervous too, something so completely out of character for him.

She started at her hand, feeling the heat of his skin and the life within him.

"Kiss me," she finally mumbled, tilting her head up to look him in the eye.

He didn't hesitate. Lifting her right from the ground, he finally carried her across the room to the huge bed. Laying her down, he grunted in surprise when she hooked her hand around his neck and pulled him down on top of her.

"I want you," she breathed, pulling him in for another deep kiss. She felt his hands move from their sides to travel downwards, at the same time allowing more of his delicious weight to settle on her. His lips moved from her face again to travel down her neck… and lower.

Suddenly a small part of her brain wondered where her dress had disappeared too. When had it come off?…and come to think of it, where had the rest of his clothing gone? But the thoughts were fleeting and very suddenly were completely forgotten altogether. The only thing in her mind was him. All that mattered in this world was him. And there and then that night, they both made a memory that would last a lifetime.

Only the stars were witness to the couple in the bed. Only the wind heard the sounds of their passion. And only the night was witness to the melding of two hearts and bodies into one. Cherry blossoms from and unknown source floated up and into the wind, casting their sweet scent into the air, but no one saw them and no one noticed them, especially the couple, surrounded in the ecstasy of their love.

A very pg rated wedding night scene, isn't it? I'm sorry if I disappointed some of you… but I had always planed to make this as sweet as I could rather then naughty… although the next chapter will have a bit more smut to it. ^^

But I can't end this chapter without mentioning Bleach's ending!? It's been so many years, and such a roller coaster that it seems odd for it to be finally over. To not have a new chapter next week, feels…. strange. I wasn't really happy with how things ended (so many unanswered questions) and it felt so rushed… but all things considered, I'm not overly surprised by how it ended. Paring wise, I also wasn't really surprised. It made the most sense I guess, to match them up the way they were (I won't spoil it for people), so the 4 main characters wouldn't be alone in the end, and the kids were awfully cute… but I guess I felt sort of under whelmed by it all? But I was happy that Byakuya made an appearance again (the hair curlers are back again?!) and I find it rather amusing to think that Byakuya is now an uncle to such a rambunctious child. :3

Well then, on to the next chapter. I don't know when it will be posted exactly, but reading all your lovely reviews really helps me feel inspired to write faster. So thank you!
