Aurthor's note: And another chapter that probably sucks! I'm not dead, just busy. Sorry this is vague and all that I can't rewatch the episode right now to get more specific details. It's whatever. I'm trying to do better, sorry. Maybe I'll update again soon if they're anyone still reading this.

My grammar suck and I can't spell check worth nothing. Sorry!

I don't own Lost

Arabella smiled as she hugged her father tight.
"I'll miss you, Daddy," She whispered into his shoulder.
"I'm only on the other side of the island," Jacob smiled down at his daughter and dropped a kiss on her forehead.
"Be safe, my lion cub,"
"Always," Arabella stood and her toes and kissed his cheek. "See you soon,"
Arabella's smile widened when she saw Richard standing by the shore. Jacob touched her arm.
"I'm happy you two figured it all out," Arabella smiled back at her dad and touched his hand. With a finally nodded she took off down the beach and all but tackled Richard in the sand.
Jacob watched them from the entrance to the statue.
His daughter and the once Spanish slave.
Arabella took off running into the jungle, Richard running after her- like always. He would follow Arabella into the pits of Hell for no reason but the fact that it was Arabella leading the way.
Jacob sighed and retreated back to his loom. His little lion cub was growing up to be a great lioness.

Arabella smiled as she walked close to Ricardo. It was so easy. Them together. Like it was always.
"I have to go," Arabella whispered.
"So do I," Richard sighed lightly, "I wouldn't be surprised if Ben has indirectly killed half the people while I was gone." Arabella laughed, still not moving away.
"Ari?" Arabella's head whipped around at the familiar voice. John stood in the brushes behind them. Arabella swear under her breath.
"Go," It was barley a whisper but Richard heard.
"Ari-"
"Go!" She shoved him toward the trees. Richard looked back at her before slipping into the jungle.
Arabella took a second to pull herself together before turning around.
"Hey, John," She smiled up at him and he smiled knowingly back.
"That him?" Arabella blushed red.
"Yeah, that was Ricardo,"
"What are you two doing out here?"
"I was just making my way back. I spent a few days with my dad. What are you doing so far out here?"
"We're heading for the Black Rock," Arabella stiffened. Richard had told her about the slave ship he came from. What was John doing looking for it?
"We?"
"Me, Jack, Kate, Hugo, Dr. Arzt and Danielle Rousseau. Rousseau is leading us."
"Who is Rousseau? Why are you going to Black Rock?"
"You missed a lot, come on, I'll fill you in."

John told her everything she missed as they joined the others.
"You're one of them!" Rousseau hissed at her. Jake was not all that happy to see her either.
"You're the French women." Arabella took a step back, right into John. He put a hand on her shoulder and looked Rousseau in the eye.
"She's one of us now,"
"You fell for that? She was with Claire!"
"I was bringing Claire back to her people. I defected, sorta." Arabella shrugged slightly. "I'm not a threat, to you or them. My only goal is to keep them safe."
"She's coming with us, to Black Rock," John explained and Jack made a face.
"Why? Why do you want to come?" He demanded.
"Because, Jacky," Jack flinched at the nickname and frowned at her. "I know the Black Rock, and if I let you guys just go and blow yourselves up I won't really be keeping you alive."
"Ari," It was a gentle warning, just like her father and Richard always gave. Add John to that list too now.
"Right, sorry, toning down the snark." They all stared at each other for a minute, no one saying anything. "Riiight, so this way," Arabella started walk toward the Black Rock but it wasn't long before Rousseau took the lead flashing Arabella a dirty look as she did. Arabella fell back with John; he gave her a gentle smile.
"How was it? Seeing your father?"
"Great, I missed him. It so good to spend a few nights in my bed again. Sorry I left you, really, after everything..."
"It's alright, really, I'm just glad you got to see your family. Family means a lot."
"Yeah, they do," The two were quite. Arabella looked up at Locke and smiled ever so gently before bumping his shoulder. "You mean a lot too, a lot to me." There was something in the she said it that hit Locke.
He'd never really had family and then he ended up in this island and found this girl. This strange, wise, mysterious girl who actually cared for him in a way that no one had in a long time.
"You mean a lot to me too, Ari," Arabella smiled at him and decided to give him a quick hug. Locke chuckled and hugged her back.
"I'm glad he picked you as one of them,"
"Who picked me? For what?" Before Arabella could cover her tracks Kate fell in step with them.
"What are you guys talking about?" Kate smiled gently at Arabella and avoided looking Locke in eye.
"Just Ari's new boyfriend." Locke covered for both of them.
"Oh please no," Arabella muttered and covered her face so she did not have to see the look in Kate's face.
"Where did you find a guy on this island?" Her voice was teasing but there something more to it, something Arabella could not put her finger on.
"He's one of the... Others as you called them. We were good friends. Ricardo is one of the good guys over there." Arabella looked for the right words to explain her best friend and their relationship.
"Do you know anything about the Black Rock?" It was Kate that asked and Arabella bobbed her head in a yes, thankful for the subject change.
"Heard a few things, never actually seen it. Should be an adventure though. I love a good adventure." For once Arabella was not lying or telling half truths. Ricardo told her about the ship but she had never seen it before, she never asked to. She knew it would just bring back bad memories for him.
"Kate," Arabella looked up at Jack and smiled sweetly at him. He rolled his eyes and walked ahead of them with Kate following.

They made their way to the Black Rock. They had a lovely run in with Eusa that made Arabella's run cold. No one died, just got the scared half to death. He was toying with them.

Arabella felt her stomach twist into worse knots when her eyes landed on that old ship. Rousseau disappeared somewhere along the way, Arabella really was not paying that much attention to the French woman.

They ventured into the hull of the ship and Arabella's stomach turned at the sight of the skeleton, one of those could have been Richard.

"You okay?" John asked as he put a hand on her back. Arabella nodded mutely and turned away from the skeletons. Someone found the dynamite. Arabella could not remember who, her mind still stuck on the idea that her best friend could have died on this ship. What would she been now if that had happened?

They pulled the crate out and Arzt started giving them a lesson on how to handle dynamite when he blew himself up.

To say that was traumatizing would be a vast understatement.

"Did you guys personally offend the Grim Reaper or something? I mean seriously!" Arabella muttered, trying to ease the image of a man exploding from her mind.

Apparently if a man explodes in front of you, you just keep going. They carefully wrapped up the explosives, Arabella watched, flinching every time they made the slightest of movement. They drew to see who would carry it, John flat out refused to let her try.

"You're too important," He said simply and Arabella rolled her eyes. Kate and John were the ones that got to carry the pack full of highly unstable explosives and it made Arabella sick with worry.

Things really couldn't get much worse, that is until Eusa attacked again.
