AMY: Good morning you two.
She closes the refrigerator and turns around to see them smiling at her.
Amy looks at them in confusion and wonder.
AMY: What's wrong?
ANNE: Nothing…it's just…
AMY: It's just what?
GEORGE: It's just…you're growing up so fast, Ames.
She smiles at them.
ANNE: It's like yesterday, you were just started high school as a naïve freshman girl and now…you're a smart and independent young woman.
GEORGE: And within two weeks…you're going to be out of high school.
Amy shakes her head with a smile as her two parents begin to have tears forming in their eyes.
AMY: I will always be your little girl…just taller and wiser.
She hugs the two with a smile.
AMY: I bet you two can't wait until Robbie grows up.
The three separate as George looks down at Robbie with a smile.
GEORGE: No…we're going to cherish his years.
ANNE: Yeah…we have 16 more years to help him grow and be a respectable man.
AMY: I'm sure it won't be a problem. The family will continue to grow.
GEORGE: I hope you're not saying that because you've decided to date another guy.
AMY: No, dad. I'm going to stay single for a while. I'm not going to continue jumping from guy to guy.
She smiles at them as they smile back at her.
ASHLEY walks in to see her family smiling at each other and stares at them in worry.
ASHLEY: Good morning.
ANNE: Good morning, Ashley.
GEORGE: Good morning, Ash.
AMY: Good morning.
ASHLEY: Yeah. Good morning to you all too. But, I've got somewhere to go so I'll see you all later.
She walks towards the back door as her family watches her in wonder and confusion. She opens the door and walks out, closing the door behind her.
INT- RICKY'S APARTMENT- LIVING ROOM- MORNING. RICKY walks in with his bag over his shoulder.
RICKY: Clementine…we're going to be late-
He stops as he stares at the disheveled couch and pillows with terror.
Clementine rushes in with a smirk.
CLEMENTINE: I'm getting a ride from Jack-
She stops as she looks at the couch as well and to Ricky.
CLEMENTINE: Oh. I'm sorry Ricky. I forgot to clean up the couch.
RICKY: It's okay…I should've cleaned it.
He turns to her and she does the same.
CLEMENTINE: Ricky…today marks the third week since-
RICKY: I know. It's kind of hard to think about.
CLEMENTINE: Listen, it wasn't your fault. It just…happened, Ricky.
RICKY: I know that too. I just…I just wish it wouldn't have happened so soon.
Clementine places her hand on his shoulder and walks away as Ricky looks back at the couch.
FLASHBACK: THREE WEEKS EARLIER. INT- RICKY'S APARTMENT- LIVING ROOM- MORNING. Ricky walks in to see Bob lied on the couch.

CLEMENTINE: Come on, we're going to be late.
Jack and Clementine begin walking out of the apartment as Ricky still stares at the couch as he closes his eyes in pain.
INT- ADRIAN'S CONDO- ADRIAN'S BEDROOM- MORNING. BEN and ADRIAN are sat up in bed as they lean on each other and their hands are intertwined.
ADRIAN: You might want to get ready to head home. You do have to take a shower.
BEN: You must have forgotten that I brought extra clothes over here.
Adrian smirks and shakes her head.
ADRIAN: Who would've thought we would be right back in this bed like this again?
BEN: Me.
Adrian looks at him in wonder.
ADRIAN: Really?
BEN: Yeah. I hoped so. I fell in love with you for the longest, Adrian. I did want to leave at first…but when I did, I felt bad for it. Not just because I abandoned you, but because I abandoned our marriage.
ADRIAN: Well, that's the past, Ben. Over these years, I've learned things happen for a reason. Look at how our lives are now. We're both finally happy and together.
BEN: Speaking of happy, how are you and your parents?
ADRIAN: Great. I feel like we're closer than we've ever been before.
BEN: That's good.
Adrian looks at him in wonder again.
ADRIAN: In fact…I was thinking that maybe…we should have a family dinner.
BEN: Family dinner?
ADRIAN: Yeah…both of our families having dinner together.

MARGARET: I thought I heard your voice.
Ricky stands to hug her and they both smile. They release each other and sit down next to each other.
MARGARET: What have you been up to lately?
RICKY: Nothing much.
MARGARET: How have you been…holding up?
RICKY: I've been…trying to move on.
SANJAY: Well, take all the time you need, son.
RICKY: Thanks. But…I need to talk to you two.
MARGARET: Well, okay.
SANJAY: What about, Ricky?
Ricky looks at them in reluctance just as ETHAN walks into the room.

ETHAN: Ricky.
LAYLA: Okay.
ETHAN: He's at my house.
LAYLA: Okay…
ETHAN: And my mom wants to have a family dinner.
LAYLA: Okay. I'm not really understanding what you're talking about.
ETHAN: I don't want Ricky over there.
LAYLA: Why not?
ETHAN: Well, he pretty much forgot about me and my parents.
LAYLA: Well, maybe he was just busy.
ETHAN: Oh yeah, he was busy. He was busy worrying about himself than his family.
LAYLA: You have to understand though, Ethan. Ricky has had a lot on his plate, along with what happened a few weeks ago.
ETHAN: I do understand that, Layla. But was it so hard for him to come to me and the family…ask us how our day was or something?
Layla shakes her head in uncertainty.
ETHAN: Can I go over your house today?
LAYLA: Actually…I'm going to see Casey.
Ethan looks at her in confusion.
ETHAN: Casey?
LAYLA: My friend…the one who chose to get homeschooled.
ETHAN: Oh…I forgot all about her.
LAYLA: Yeah. We just started back talking yesterday.
ETHAN: Why didn't she try to talk to you-
LAYLA: She lost her phone and her parents decided that she didn't need any connection to other teenagers because it might be harming her grades.

REUBEN: Sure. We have that every other night.
ADRIAN: No…not just us as a family. I want us to have a family dinner with Ben's family as well.
CINDY: Okay…what's wrong with that?
ADRIAN: Nothing. I just wanted to ask you too. I was afraid that you would say no, though.
REUBEN: Now why would we do that?
CINDY: Mijah…we love the Boykewichs. Are you forgetting that we were all family once?
REUBEN: And we still are.

RICKY: Uhh…it's not good.
MARGARET: Oh jesus…what has happened now?
RICKY: It's nothing too bad, besides what has been happening lately.
MARGARET: What?

ASHLEY: I want some pancakes and eggs.
THOMAS: I do too. But I also want some spicy chile.

THOMAS: What's wrong?
ASHLEY: It's my family…they are always excluding me.
THOMAS: You don't really feel that way.
ASHLEY: Yes, I do. I thought things had changed…but it's obviously not. I'm the black sheep of the family.
THOMAS: I don't think that's true. You don't wear that much black and you're definitely not a sheep.
ASHLEY: I just…really want to feel like I'm a part of the family.

KATHY: Maybe he's been busy.
HELEN: Yeah.
ETHAN: I doubt that. I would've been happy just to get a phone call from my brother, but I couldn't even get that. The closest to a brother I have is Ben and Brian.

LAYLA: Besides passing all of my classes, I've just been dealing with Ethan.
CASEY: Oh…well, how is Kathy?
LAYLA: She's doing well. She's had her baby.

LAYLA: Girl…I'm so happy.
CASEY: I'm happy for you. Besides, you seem different.
LAYLA: What do you mean? Different in a good way or a bad way?
CASEY: A good way…you seem nicer and less self-absorbed.
LAYLA: I guess I'll take that as a compliment.
CASEY: You should. But I like this new Layla the same as the old one. I'm just glad you've changed.
LAYLA: What about you? Are you any different?
CASEY: Well, I'm a Christian now…and I'm in my books more.
LAYLA: Good. I'm happy that we're both Christians.

AMY: Ashley…you are part of this family.
ASHLEY: Well, it sure doesn't feel like it.
George stands up and looks at her in confusion.
GEORGE: How long have you been feeling this way, Ashley?
ASHLEY: I've felt this way for the longest. That's why I left here with Toby. I wanted to get away from you all. I've hated not feeling important in this family.
ANNE: You are important to this family, Ashley.
AMY: Gosh, Ashley. We love you…we would never make you feel not part of this family.
GEORGE: They're right, Ashley. We can't imagine not having you be a part of this family.
ASHLEY: Well, can you start acting a little more like it?

Ethan shakes his head in disbelief.
RICKY: He's right.
They all look at him in wonder.
RICKY: I shouldn't just expect to jump right back into your lives.
MARGARET: Ricky…
RICKY: No, mom. I haven't been a very good son…
Sanjay and Margaret just look at him.
RICKY: …or a very good brother.
Ethan shakes his head.
RICKY: And I'm sorry. It's just…I wanted to have a parent and child relationship with my father so bad. I forgot about you all.
SANJAY: Ricky…we accept your apology.
MARGARET: Yes, we do.
SANJAY: Ethan?
Ethan looks at Ricky with hesitance.
ETHAN: I don't know.

LEO: Darn. I was hoping you would get into the sausage business.
Chloe smirks at him.
CHLOE: Sorry dad.
ADRIAN: But no…Ben and I aren't getting married any time soon.
BEN: That's right. We're going to at least wait years until the next round.
Adrian looks at Ben with an unsure expression.
LEO: Well, I know you two will be together forever.
REUBEN: I agree.
