I'm Broken:

(Hey guys, I know it's been awhile, that's because I knew that I needed to upload this chapter but I just couldn't bring myself to break your feels, I just love you all to much but I'm afraid it has to be done so, I am sorry if your heart breaks but don't worry there is a reason to all of this!)

When you lose a mother:

Dean and Castiel's relationship had improved a lot since their first sexual encounter. Castiel and Dean knew that they wanted to trick their careers into agreeing to it again. Right now they were at school, Sam was in gym and Castiel was unfortunate enough to get stuck with religiose studies. Dean and Gabriel were in math class but neither of them were paying any attention to it. Gabriel was day dreaming out the window and Dean was just thinking about another date for him and Castiel to go out and spend another together in the bunker. Suddenly the two boys were pulled away from their day dreams by the sound of the teachers voice,

"Gabriel, Dean!" Mr. Singer shouted at them loudly. "Can either of you answer the question?"

Dean and Gabriel exchanged looks. He'd asked them a question... They weren't listening so of corse they couldn't answer, but maybe if he repeated himself they could answer because they would be sure to listen that time.

"If I have 5 appels in one hand and 7 appels in the other hand what do I have?" Mr. Singer questioned again. He hated repeating himself and it was always for those two, maybe he should split them up. Gabriel and Dean thought for a while, Dean was adding the numbers up and Gabriel tried at first but gave up half way through and said:

"Very big hands."

...

Sam wasn't as sorry or as embarrassed as his gym teacher, Mrs. Harvel would have wanted him to be. Sam forgot his kit, so what. It wasn't a big deal, it's not like wanted to have gym class anyways. He hated gym, the running the throwing the catching, the shouting, the jumping. He'd much rather be in the library reading, now that was something. He'd been sent to go and get a spear kit from the main office, he'd already walked around the entire school once, telling every teacher he passed that he was just looking for the toilet. Eventually he saw Gabriel standing outside his class room, interested Sam jogged over to him. Sure him and Gabriel still weren't getting along but if Gabriel got himself kicked out of class, Sam wanted to know why.

"What did you do this time, squirt?" Sam teased patting the top of Gabriel's head. Sam was proud to say that although he was a year younger that Gabriel he was at least a foot taller too, Gabriel hated him for it but things could be worse. Since Gabriel was smaller, he was a lot better at playing hide and seek and him and Sam hadn't played it since they were about 8 because that's when Sam started getting taller. Gabriel looked up at Sam with a great annoyance in his face, he wasn't annoyed at Sam because him and Sam had always talked to each other like that.

"My teacher kicked me out" Gabriel confessed, it wasn't fair everyone laughed. No one really laughed much at Gabriel's attempted jokes besides Dean, Sam and Gabriel if they heard him. Since Gabriel mentioned that he was a bisexual most of the school was just not good to him and Sam hadn't a girlfriend since a girl called Jess broke up with him and Gabriel hadn't had a date since Kali broke up with him so currently both boys were single.

"What did you do?" Sam asked.

"The teacher said, 'I have 5 appels in one hand and 7 appels in the other hand, what do I have?' I said 'Very big hands' and he told me to go stand outside."

Sam laughed, the comment was so typically Gabriel that he had to laugh. Sam straight away stopped laughing, telling himself it wasn't that funny and waved goodbye because he had to go find a spear gym kit. Gabriel watched Sam walk away, did he really just have a normal conversation with Sammy? No, Sam. Not Sammy. They weren't friends. Gabriel was starting to get bored but eventually Mr. Singer walked out and told him to go back inside and do his work, the sums were on the board.

...

Sam finally found a spear gym kit. It was warm so he picked up the short sleeved shirt and some shorts. He walked back to gym as slowly as possible and everyone was waiting for him, he didn't even apologize he just got changed and went outside with the rest of his class. Sam had a class that was mixed with boys and girls, he didn't mind so much but he would have preferred to have Castiel in the class so he had someone to talk to.

Gabriel looked out of the class room window as Sam and his class were running into the sports field.

"Sammy's got gym today" he was trying to speak quietly and he wasn't expecting himself to say Sammy instead of saying Sam. He knew that Sam didn't like being called Sammy, unless it was Dean.

"Sammy?" Dean questioned with a smile looking at Gabriel. Him and Castiel had spoken about how they think Sam and Gabriel might actually like each other.

"I didn't say Sammy"

"Yes, you did."

"No, I didn't"

"Did"

"Didn't"

"Did!"

"Well - I didn't mean to. It was an accident."

...

Dean drove Gabriel and Castiel home in the impala, kissing Castiel goodbye he waved to Gabriel as Sam climbed into the shotgun seat. They drove home with Dean's classic rock blasting and Dean singing along and trying to encourage Sam to sing along too. When they got home they saw that their dads pick up truck wasn't there. Dean knocked on the door and his dad opened it.

"Where's mum?" Sam asked as he walked in closing the door behind him.

"She went shopping" John answered as the door bell rang. He got up and opened it to see a police man standing there.

"John Winchester?" he said, "can I come inside please?"

"Sure".

...

Dean looked at his fathers face. The police man had left hours ago and John hadn't said a word. Sam had ran of into his room and Dean knew that he had to get out his phone and tell Cas and Gabriel since, Mary was like a mother to them. Dean was trying to hold his tears back because he knew that if his dad saw him cry the John would cry too and John hated crying. Dean wanted to go and see his mum and he wanted to do it now but he couldn't so it alone and it was John's right as her husband to go first.

"Can you, uh - can you and check on Sam for me?" John said at last. Dean got up and walked up the stairs. He knocked on Sam's door and waited for Sam's voice to say 'come in' but it never did. Dean eventually let himself in to find that Sam wasn't even there. Sam came out of the bathroom and rolled his sleeves back down imminently, Dean heard him snuffling and turned around to face him.

"Sammy" he whispered walking over he took his younger brother in his arms as Sam cried.

"We - we should tell Cas and Gabe" Sam spoke out, his voice was shaking as he pulled away to wipe his eyes. Seeing Sam like that was breaking Dean's heart and he couldn't stand to see Sam sad any longer. "She was their mum too."

"Yeah, I know. I'm going to. Um - if you want to go and see mum, we can - we can go but I want dad to go first. It's his right she was his wife" Dean told him as he took out his phone. He was lucky that he had Castiel on speed dial because he couldn't type the numbers in properly. The tears in his eyes blocking his vison slightly. He put the phone to his ear and waited for Castiel to pick up. He was afraid that Castiel wouldn't be able to handle the news. Castiel had convinced everyone that he was better and no longer needed his medication, everyone believed him but now Dean was afraid that relaising one of Castiel's last safety nets was gone forever - well he was afraid it would set Castiel of again but he deserved to know.

"Dean" Came a happy voice from the other end of the phone. Dean didn't reply. He couldn't. Castiel sounded so happy and Dean didn't want to crash his happiness but he knew it had to be done.
"Dean?" the voice said again, his happiness was fading when Dean wasn't replying. Castiel could hear Dean sniffing and he was automatically concerned. "Dean, what's wrong?"

"My mums dead" Dean said at last, Sam ran into his room and shut the door behind him before collapsing on the bed and sobbing.

"Dean, I'm so sorry. Are you guys okay?" Castiel was now worried about Dean, if Mary was really was dead then Dean needed him.

"I just - it might take a while to get used to -" Dean couldn't handle this anymore, "Cas. I uh - I gotta go.' Dean hung up the phone. Castiel felt like he was going to cry now too. Gabriel walked back in the room after coming out of the bathroom and looked at Castiel in tears. He put one arm around him and asked what had happened. When Castiel told him, Gabriel started crying too. Mary had done so much for them, she couldn't have gone? She could die? She'd help Cas and Gabriel through every problem they ever had. Helped Gabriel out when he told her about what he did to his dad, helped Castiel with his PTSD, they'd helped with everything.

...

John let Castiel and Gabriel in the house,

"I'm going to go and claim the body. Can you just - just look after them for me. Please. I'll be back as soon as I can" John was doing his best not to cry right now. Castiel put his arms around John, John had been like a father to them and seeing him hurt was something he just couldn't bare.

"I'm sorry for your loss" Castiel said as he let John go and closed the door after him. The boys walked up the stairs. "You check on Sam, I'll look after Dean" Castiel told him sternly, "and be nice to Sam!"

Gabriel knocked on Sam's bedroom door and waited for the 'come in' it came about a minute after and Gabriel walked in to see Sam laying on his bed under the covers. Gabriel walked over sat on the bed next to him, patting the lump that was Sam under the duvet. Sam pushed the covers off of his head and looked up into Gabriel's face. He could that Gabriel was upset too and eventually Sam threw his arms around Gabriel and cried. He knew that he didn't Gabriel but that didn't matter anymore. Gabriel needed someone and Sam needed someone too. Right now they had each other.

"It's okay Kiddo" Gabriel whispered. "I'm here. I got you. I'm sorry."

Sam just contuied crying. Gabriel's teary eyes feel on the floor as he noticed Sam's bin had fallen over. He noticed a tissue on the floor that looked like it had blood on it. He lent down and picked it up, "Sam what is this? Why is there blood on this tissue?"

"I uh - I had a nose bleed" Sam said quickly in panic. He didn't realize he'd knocked the bin over as he layed on his bed. Gabriel looked at Sam, Gabriel had been lying almost his entire life, he was a very good liar and he could tell when other people were lying too but right now Sam didn't need to be called a liar.

...

Castiel opened the door to Dean's bed room and pulled him into his arms. No one spoke. They just cried together. Dean held Castiel as close as possible. This feeling that he had inside of him right now, the feeling as if he was incomplete. He wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone because it was one of the worst things he had ever felt.
