Espada Ropera v. Katana
Since we've seen both weapons preform in battle before which do our experts give an edge? "The Katana does allow for superior slashing and killing power on foot the Espada Ropera is far superior on horseback and thats why Cortes has my edge." Geoff said.
"I agree with you Geoff, the Espada Ropera gets my edge as well it has a much longer reach then the Katana has and it is far superior on horseback, edge: Espada Ropera." Mack said.
"Edge: Espada Ropera why its has a much longer reach, greater stabbing power, and slashing power all those combined with being wielded on horseback is enough to give it an edge, edge: Cortes." Dr. Dorian said.
EDGE: Espada Ropera
Coming-up these two Brutal conquerors brutal impaling spears are put to the test, then their famous Matchlock firearms are compared. Later these two conquerors armor are put to a perfect test to decide which set of armor is more protective, Cortes Oda who is the Deadliest Warrior…?
Mid-Range
Conquistador Lance v. Yari
"The Conquistador Lance was about nine feet long and it weighed a great deal up to seven pounds the blade was only about ten or so inches long so it had a finer stabbing, however when you do hit armor their is a possibility it might break at the spear tip." Dave Baker said.
To test the killing power of the Lance our Deadliest Warrior team set up a single moving Ballistics Gell Torso wearing Oda's Kabuto Helmet and Do-Maru the Cortes expert is given on drive by and one blow to deal as much damage as possible once Geoff gave the count down the Cortes expert charged with his Lance ready then he aimed it and he stabbed through Do-Maru piercing a few inches into the Steel-Plated Leather Lamellar but it broke at the tip. "Okay, so you've pierced the armor but not enough to kill this is a mortal wound that hurts like a Motherless Goat, because you've stabbed into the stomach, and the fact that the Lance broke it splintered inside the body, but again its not an instant kill it will hurt allot then you will die." Dr. Dorian said. "Our Yari Pike is four feet shorter then your weapon but its much more sturdier and its perfect for horseback." the Oda expert said.
"The Yari Pike was much shorter then the Conquistadors Lance it was only five feet in length and it could be wielded on foot as well as horseback, and the leaf shape blade allows for greater piercing power, and it weighed about three pounds." Dave Baker said.
To test the Yari Pike our team of experts set up yet another Ballistics Gell Torso this one wearing Cortes' Morion Helmet and Steel Breastplate and Tassets once Geoff gave the count down the Oda expert grabbed his Yari and he charged and then he stabbed into the targets face and stuck out the back of its skull denting the back of the Morion Helmet. "Okay, so you worked around the armor and got into the face which got into the brains and cracked the jaw bone and it stuck out all the way out the other side which is an instant kill." Dr. Dorian said.
After seeing the Conquistador Lance and Yari Pike which do our experts give an edge? "The Yari gets my edge its much more sturdier then the Conquistador Lance, and the Lance might give you a much greater length but that doesn't matter if if breaks so easily, edge: Yari." Geoff said.
"I would have to disagree although the Lance isn't as sturdier as the Yari Pike, you need to work around the armor but with the Lance you don't need to worry about that while your aiming your shot I'm just ramming a nine foot long shaft in your body." Mack said.
"I agree with what you both said both weapons have their advantages and disadvantages but the Yari is much more sturdier then the Lance and it has a higher probability of getting a kill when compared to the Lance, edge: Yari Pike." Dr. Dorian said.
EDGE: Yari Pike
Coming-up two legendary Matchlock Firearms are resurrected and compared, then the defensive barriers these two men wore in battle are put to the test, later the ex-factors that can turn the tide of Deadliest Warrior history. Who will be the Deadliest Warrior?
Long Range
Arquebus v. Tanegashima Musket
After reviewing the tapes of both the Arquebus and Tanegashima our experts can easily determine which weapons gets the edge. "We've seen this before to many times both weapons take a load of time reloading but the Tanegashima can pierce armor and kill do to the specifically designed Musket Ball that can pierce much smoother then the Arquebus and that will surely be an instant kill and the Arquebus takes allot longer to reload compared to the Tanegashima so it has to go to Oda Nobunaga." Geoff said.
EDGE: Tanegashima Musket
Coming-up next the sets of armor that kept these men alive are compared, then the Ex-Factors that can change the final battle, later Hernán Cortés Oda Nobunaga Who will be the Deadliest conqueror…?
Armor
Morion Helmet & Steel Breastplate and Tassets v. Kabuto Helmet & Do-Maru
To test the protectiveness of both Cortes's and Oda's armor Deadliest Warrior team have set up a single foam target wearing Cortes's Steel Breastplate and Tasset, the Oda expert set up his Tanegashima and stand once Geoff gave the count down the Oda expert fired his Musket and the round pierced the armor and dented the back. "Okay so you've pierced the armor I think the difference between this set of armor and regular Breastplate the Tassets add extra defense so pierced armor but not a instant kill." Dr. Dorian said. Then the Cortes expert loaded his Arquebus and set it up with his stand then he aimed it at the Do-Maru that Oda wore in combat, once Geoff gave the go ahead the Cortes expert fired his Arquebus and pierced through the first protective plate and splintered the Plated-Lamellar, and pierced out the back. "Okay, again we've got a pierced set off armor and the musket ball splintered inside the body which would soon be a kill but you did not hit the target in a lethal area you needed to be a little bit off two the right about two inches in order to get an instant kill." Dr. Dorian said.
After testing both sets of armor which do our experts give an edge? "The armor that Oda is about 50 years more advanced then Cortes's armor however the Do-Maru allows for greater mobility and the Breastplate allows for greater greater protection so I would give a slight edge to Cortes." Geoff said.
"I would say their as dead even as you can get, they both have their own advantages and yet they both have their own disadvantages so for me its a wash, edge: even." Mack said.
"I agree with what you've all said but I would give a slight edge to the Do-Maru because it is perfectly balanced it has greater mobility and great protective capabilities, while the armor Cortes wore only allowed for greater protection and lesser of mobility so I would give the edge to Nobunaga." Dr. Dorian said.
EDGE: Even
Coming-up our Deadliest Warrior team evaluate the Ex-Factors of these two conqueror. Later its the final battle, who will be the Deadliest Warrior…? Oda or Cortes only one can be the victor.
Ex-Factor Evaluations:
"Okay so the first Ex-factor were looking at is Tactics and this is going to Oda because of the fact Cortes was going up against Aztecs who only used Stone and Wood, so we rated Cortes at a 82 and Nobunaga at an 88 because he was fighting far superior armies, then when your looking at Battlefield Effectiveness both warriors were even do to the fact that Cortes was going up against 1 million Aztecs while only having 500 men to his advantage while Oda used his revolutionary firing lines to gain an edge and they worked so we rated them both at a 90 Then when you look at are next ex-factor and that is Domination and Domination goes to Cortes because he he needed to show the Aztec that he wanted gold so he is rated at an 96 to Oda's 93 because near the end Oda lost his power over his enemies, then when you look at Generalship Cortes takes the cake we rated him at a 93 to Oda's 82 this is because he took over 500 men and went up against 1-million Aztecs and won which really amazes Oda might have been a great tactician he ended up being a dictator who was afraid of death which everyone is but his generalship is still very low when compared to Cortes, yet another important ex-factor is Psychological Health and this is not going to any of these guys that well but it goes to Oda a little bite better then Cortes we rated Hernán at a 54 because all e cared about was gold anything else he didn't give a crap about on the flip–side Oda did end up being a hated dictator fearing of death but he still wasn't as Psychologically unstable like Cortes so we rated him at a 76 which is still very low, with our next ex-factor were looking at Audacity and this goes to Cortes because he had a goal in mind and that was to find gold while Oda was just power hungry and needed to show his enemies that he would destroy them so we rated Oda at a 72 compared to Cortes's 88 then our final ex-factor is the ex-factor of Physicality and this goes to Oda but just barely both of these men weren't really fit but Cortes' was lets just say he was a midget while Oda was more physically fit so we rated Cortes at a 85 compared to Oda's 87." Robert Daly said.
"Okay Robert the armor these brutal conquerors wore are dead even the Weapons are leaning towards Oda for durability and the Ex-factors are leaning towards Cortes do to the fact that he is more sane, but lets got ahead and get the results." Mack said.
Cortės: OOOOO
Oda: ooooo Ø ø
Robert clicks the switch and the battle opens up to Oda Nobunaga riding dramatically one horseback over a hill with four Samurai warriors walking on foot when Cortes came riding up one horseback with four of his Conquistadors three which were on foot and one which was riding next to him on horseback, then the two conquerors saw each other and Cortes ordered one of his men to fire and the Conquistador readied his Arquebus and stand and he fired hitting a Samurai in the chest tearing through his armor and killing him instantly. (ø5-4) Then Oda ordered his men to return fire and three Samurai readied and aimed their Tanegashima Muskets with the help of the their stands and one of the three Samurai was kneeling as they aimed and volley fired hitting the Conquistador in the chest as he reloaded his Arquebus, and hit a second Conquistador hit the face cracking through his forehead and out the back killing him. (Ø, Ø3-4) Then Oda had one of his men hand him a Yari Pike, and then he charged at another Conquistador who was on foot and the Spaniard drew his Espada Ropera and he counter-charged towards Nobunaga but Oda rammed his Yari Pike into the Conquistadors face killing him instantly and sending him flying backwards with the Pike still imbedded in has face and skull. (Ø2-4) Then Cortes ordered his last Conquistador to charge and the man excepted the invitation and he drew his Conquistador lance and he charged towards the three Samurai as they reloaded their Tanegamishma's then two of them ran away while the kneeling Samurai tried to reload his Musket but he decided to run away but the Conquistador stabbed him in the chest while breaking the Lance as well. (ø2-3) Then Cortes drew his Espada Ropera and he road past a Samurai whom was on foot and the Samurai began to aim his Tanegamishma Musket but Cortes slashed him across the throat with his sword killing him instantly and then the slain Samurai slowly fell backwards dead as blood shot out of his throat. (ø2-2) Then Oda's last Samurai aimed readied and aimed his Tanegashima Musket at Cortes's last Conquistador then the Conquistador saw the Samurai and he dropped what was left of his Lance and drew his Espada Ropera, and he charged and as he was in range the Samurai fired his musket hitting him in the jaw, then the Conquistador fell off his horse then the Samurai ran up with his Yari Pike drawn and he stabbed the downed Conquistador in the chest as he put his hands up begging for mercy. (Ø1-2) Then Cortes road past the Samurai and stabbed him in the collarbone before he could reach him with his Pike killing him. (ø1-1) Then Oda came charging past Cortes and he swung his Katana but it only scratched Cortes's Breastplate then Cortes countered the attack with a quick left to right swing slashing Oda across the face wounding him, then the two brutal conquerors glared at each other one more time before Oda charged then Cortes charged as well then Oda swung his Katana slashed Cortes across the shoulder as Cortes swung his Espada Ropera slashing Oda across the chest, then Cortes turned towards his enemy who had fallen off his horse, then he dismounted and held hit Espada Ropera at the downed Daimyo, then he kicked him over onto his back and he then checked his pockets for gold but instead of gold found a Crest with the Marking of the Miyomata clans insignia then he raised his Espada Ropera in the air and roared "Victoria!" in victory. "The reason Cortés won was because his Lance proved more lethal as well as his Espada Ropera and he had superior armor, Oda was really lethal at long range with his Tanegashima which got nearly half of the kills in the entire simulation, however both Cortés and Nobunaga were very closely matched up as far as ex-factors are concerned but its a devastating defeat for Oda and a crushing victory for Cortes." Robert Daly said.
Next Matchup Its a battle between two of histories greatest calvary fighters.
Winged Hussar: the world's most revered calvary fighters who went undefeated in battle for almost over 100-years do to the help of their wings of a guardian angel.
Vs.
Knights Templar: King Richard's tried-and-true calvary who expanded their Christian beliefs using terror while leaving a bloodied trial of scourged Earth behind them.
I want to thank Metal Harbinger for talking me back into doing these next-matchups the good think about adhd is that it makes more creative a downside is that you can't ever make up your minds and he assisted me in bringing these back but as always this MT101 sighing say Live Long and Prosper.
