A/N: You ask for Peter and I give thee PETER! It was a very difficult chapter because I really don't know how Peter would be as a kid. But it's basically al Marauder interaction so I hope you like it! ... ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: I might end this story in a chapter or two because it is getting quite long but of course I would have a Part Two because I am no where near done telling this story... I ask that in the reviews you leave a comment on whether you like this idea or if I should just keep going on this one story.

Y6: Peter and the Funny Letter
Peter was first to wake up, it was nearly seven and classes would start soon. His hair was a mess and his shirt had lost a button in his sleep. It was another relentless nightmare. Four years and he still had the same dream; he had come to realize long ago that he would never escape it. But it was always a relief to wake to see the boys in his room. Sighing as he sat up, he bustled over to the boys.
He was still groggy when he tripped on his way to Remus' bed slamming his chin on the base.
"For the love of Merlin!" Remus shouted.
Emmeline sat up in bed with a shriek; James and Sirius looked over with sleepy eyes but smiles on their faces.
And poor Peter rolled into a sitting position as he rubbed his aching chin.
"You could've told me you would be sleeping on the ground!" Peter moaned.
"You were asleep!" Remus said defensive as he rubbed his leg where Peter had crushed it.
Peter slowly stood up glaring at Remus then at Emmeline then back to Remus, "What's she doing here anyway?"
"Sorry, I should be going," Emmeline apologized as she slipped out from the bed.
She stood to fast and got quite dizzy, a head ache quickly formed.
"Lay back down," Remus ordered as he stood and guided her back to his bed, he turned to Peter, "She had a rough night."
Peter nodded knowing what that meant. He got back up still moaning for the pain in his chin; well at least the boys were awake now.
"Here, Em," Remus said as his long arms reached for the tonics he had on his bedside table, "For headaches, and one for your bruises."
Peter looked over to see Emmeline's bruises. He had to stop himself from saying anything that would offend her; but man, were they huge. They took up the right side of her face. Around her eye was a dark purple nearly black. Her chin was green that stretched to light blue going up her cheek. Her forehead was a light green that faded to yellow. But there was a cut on her lip and her nose had bled during the night, for it had dry blood running down her face and blood stains on Remus' pillow.
"Thanks," she whispered and took the both of them back to back.
"Would you like to go to breakfast with us?" Peter politely squeaked hoping that Remus would like that.
He could see in Remus' eyes that everything about Emmeline's current state pained him. Even as her bruises faded for the tonic was working; Remus's jaw was still clenched every time he peered up from his place on the floor.
Emmeline, on the other hand, looked simply embarrassed that they saw her in such a state. Peter of course thought she was ridiculous; they've seen her in worse states thanks to Remus.
"I—erm—" Emmeline looked quite awkward as she took a big breath, "I mean, I guess. But I have to wash up—"
"We have a bathroom right there," Peter smiled, "you're welcome to use it."
Emmeline stood slowly fearful for a headache but it didn't come, "Thanks Pete…. And Remus, thank you."
Emmeline walked quickly into the bathroom closing the door shut behind her.
Remus was looking at Peter with an eyebrow raised.
"What?" squeaked Pete.
"Nothing," Remus shrugged, "just surprise that you invited her. You're usually quiet when she's here."
Peter stood picking up a pillow as he noticed that James and Sirius had fallen back asleep, he turned to Remus, "Well, I figured you weren't going to do it."
Remus smiled slightly shaking his head at Peter's silliness.
But Peter felt even sillier this morning; more than Remus had ever thought of Peter. Pete took his pillow and tossed it hard aiming for James' head. Of course he missed his head as Peter had the worst aim in the world, but he hit him square in the back.
"Oi!" James said annoyed and glared at Remus.
Remus had his hands in the air as he laughed, "Wasn't me, mate!"
"Time to get up, sleeping beauty," Peter said as James picked up Pete's pillow and tossed it back at him.
Peter caught it but it was so forceful that it knocked him over. The three of them began to laugh.
Sirius woke up quickly, groggy and jealous, he rubbed his eyes yelling, "Wait! What did I miss?"
The other three had a mischievous smile as they looked at one another than grabbed there pillows and aimed straight for Sirius.
Sirius tried to bat them away and came tumbling from his bed with the sheets wrapped around him, "Oi! Oi! What are you doing?!"
Remus, James, and Peter were laughing loudly as Sirius stood with only his blanket covering his naked body. 'It is comfortable,' was Sirius' excuse when they had questioned him in first year.
Emmeline hearing the laughter opened the bathroom door and peered out. The boys stopped laughing and looked over to her, she had wiped away the blood and the bruises were gone. Her eyes went wide when she realized Sirius was naked. Quickly, she shut the door.
Sirius turned red as the other three laughed loudly at his embarrassment.
"The feckin' lot of you are some real gits," Sirius said as he searched for clothes.
…..
They were sitting at breakfast, the five of them. Sirius and Pete sat across from Remus, Emmeline, and James.
"So Emmeline," James started up as he gathered a forkful of mash into his mouth, "Are you ever going to have a proper Marauder sleep over?"
Emmeline blushed as she rubbed her hands together, "Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you guys."
James looked at her laughing, "No, no, it wasn't a bother at all. I was just wondering if you ever planned on sleeping over to simply have a fun time. I mean that is what the Marauders are for, am I right?"
He smiled at the boys as they all cheered with their moths full.
Emmeline laughed a little, "Erm—yes, I guess I would like that."
"We know you would like it!" Sirius smiled, "We're the bloody Marauders. But we should schedule an Emmeline sleep over day. What do you say Remey-cakes?"
Remus blushed as he smiled softly trying not to look at Emmeline, "Yes, that should definitely be on our list."
"Maybe we should have all the girls sleep over!" Peter squeaked, "All the sixth year Gryffindors in one room!"
"Great idea, mate," Sirius said slapping him on the back, "We need to schedule that."
"Good luck getting them all to agree to it," Remus said softly.
"What are you on about?" Sirius said annoyed that his friend wouldn't tackle the idea as he and Peter had.
"Evans," James said knowing what Remus meant, "it'll be easy getting Meadowes and Marls to agree but you know Evans. She'll definitely not come."
"Oh I don't know," Emmeline put in, "She's been in a really depressed mood since—for weeks. I think it'll be good for her."
James smiled hopefully, "Do you think so? Do you think she'd come?"
"I can ask," Emmeline promised, "I'm sure Marlene and Dori can convince her."
"Speaking of the ladies," Sirius nodded to the doors.
Marlene, Dorcas, and Lily were walking down the aisle searching for a seat at the Gryffindor table. They sat not far from the marauders and when Lily spotted Emmeline, she looked over with a huge question mark on her face.
"I don't know what to say to them," Emmeline said hiding her face, "they'll know I'd been out all night."
"Is the truth not going to happen?" Remus asked tensely.
Emmeline paused and shook her head, "No, I need an excuse."
"Well, what do you usually tell them?" Peter asked her.
Emmeline shrugged, "Something stupid."
"You could say you were slagging around," Sirius piped up and received a glare from both Emmeline and Remus, "right, bad idea."
"Just say you were checking on Cara last night," Remus whispered knowing it was a good lie but hating himself for suggesting it, "you ran into me. We went to see her together, she was already asleep. … And that's when you heard her nightmare. Say it got you bothered so I took you back up to our room because you didn't want to wake the girls with your tears."
The four of them stared at Remus tensely, examining his words and the nervous way he had said it.
"Did you see her last night?" Peter whispered softly.
Remus nodded not wanting to say more.
Sirius' jaw was clenched, quite annoyed that Remus hadn't brought this to their attention. That lie was too good; obviously all of it was true… well the parts about Cara at least. And Sirius was angry that he didn't know about her nightmares.
"Just say that," Remus whispered darkly as he stood from his place and started to walk out.
Sirius went to follow him when the owls arrived. The two of them stopped where they stood. Their owls dropped both of them a letter and they reached out it grabbed it. Emmeline, James, and Peter had also received letters. So had Lily, Marlene, and McKinnon.
Peter flipped his envelope over.
Scrawled at the bottom of the envelope warned him, "Do Not Open in Public!" Peter slipped it into his pocket. He looked up and saw that his friends had done the same. They all stood and began to walk out of the Great Hall.
….
They were gathered in the Common Room. And they all took their letters from their pockets.
Dear Mr. Peter Pettigrew,
Due to your exceptional skills and/or display of courage, your presence is requested on the seventh floor at eleven o' clock tonight. Do NOT speak of this letter to ANYONE until after tonight.
-A.P.W.B. Dumbledore
Peter looked up and watched as his friends slipped their letters into their pockets nodding to each other. They would do as Dumbledore asked and not speak of it until after tonight.
A/N: Please review! When you ask for things, I give! And I really would love some more criticism! THANKS HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT :)
