Hello Folks! Oh my god, how long has it been? Four weeks? More? I AM SO SORRY! It's just, I have been busy throughout all the weeks and I had not time to write anything at all! Loads of shit happened, trust me.

Good news though: I am through to the second year of my university! Yay!

Bad News: I have MAJOR writers block...That's why it took so long to get this out...You have no idea how many times I've started then deleted the beginning of the chapter since I just wasn't happy with it. I'm still not out of my funk...I don't know how this chapter is or will go...

But, I've tried my best to produce something emotional. Why? Because this chapter contains the BIG REVEAL OF REN'S PAST! So, relax, grab a cup of coffee or tea (I HATE coffee but love tea) and read on and have fun! I think I'd be back to 2 week updates after this or one weeks.

Disclaimer: I own nothing of Fairy Tail but Scarlet Destiny is all mine :D

There was something about the goggled Slave that was absolutely grating. Whether, it was because of the way he looked like a complete and utter idiot or because of how annoying his laughter was when it was bouncing off the hallway walls, it didn't matter. Slave just pissed Lucy off. Enough said.

Lucy's heart was hammering away in her chest. Her legs pumped with energy, as they never missed their step as she ran like she was being followed by vicious dogs. Ren and Natsu was just a few mere inches in front of her, both concentrating on Slave in front of them.

In moments like this, Lucy wasn't going to lie to herself. She was terrified. The man from before, the slave's master, had put her on the edge. There was something really wrong with that guy. But it was her fear that was making her act more faster. She remembered her mother once telling her never to reject fear, but to embrace it and handle it. Fear made you stronger. Faster. Better.

"He's actually really fast!" Lucy couldn't help but comment as she managed to reach Ren's side, now running along side with the two dragon slayers.

"I know," Ren gasped through deep breaths "How can he have so much damn energy?"

"Pfft, if I wasn't stuck to an idiot like you, I would so have caught up to Slave by now!" Natsu claimed out loud, interrupting the conversation.

"Sure you could, Pinky." Ren drawled, looking bored at Natsu.

"Oi! You want to get your assed kicked?" Natsu growled, forehead practically smashing against Ren in anger.

"Bring it Pinky! I'll hand your ass right back to you!" Ren replied, also furiously pushing his head furiously against Natsu as they both ran.

"This is not the time to be fighting, you idiots!" Lucy shrieked loudly, breaking their conversation.

Both boys huffed loudly, before whipping their heads opposite each other. In doing so, Ren's eyes connected with Lucy. He noticed the fear inside them instantly. And his smile dimmed. He should have known that she was scared. At times like this, he actually accepted it. He was an idiot.

"Happy!" Ren shouted as he looked up at the cat flying above their heads "Do you think you can catch up to the Slave in the air and stop him from running?"

Happy eyes brightened slightly at Ren's idea, before he nodded his head vigorously,

"Leave it to me! I'll get that Slave!"

Happy increased his speed, easily gaining a faster paste. In to time he was flying ahead of Ren, Natsu and Lucy catching up to Slave. However, before he could reach the trickster, something very peculiar happened.

The group had just turned a sharp right in the hallway, entering a new corridor, and instantly they spotted the figure stepping into the corridor. It was a man dressed in a pristine suit, and strangely a blue mask hiding his features. The man was just entering the corridor himself from a door on the left side wall.

While Ren, Natsu and Lucy thoughts sprung into confusion on who the hell this man was, Slave was the exact opposite. A silly smile broke out onto the mans face as he looked at the blue masked man who had yet to notice any of them.

"Blue~!" Slave squealed out loudly, as he saw his self-proclaimed 'best friend'.

Slave increased his speed so he could reach the masked man even faster. The blue masked man turned towards his direction although no one could actually guess what he thought. When Slave was just a few inches away from the man, he launched into air looking like he was going to tackle the man into a hug.

This didn't work out. Before Slave could even touch the masked man, the man took a smooth step to the left. The result was simple. Slave falling face first on the hard floor, smashing his nose painfully. Seeing this, Happy stopped flying mid-air, looking at Slave like he was insane which was saying something. Ren, Natsu and Lucy also stopped all three nearly crashing into each other.

"Ow..." Slave trailed off loudly, lifting his head from the floor, a hand grabbing his poor nose.

"Slave," the blue masked man said his voice formal however clipped "What are you doing here? I thought you were with Master Kyron."

"Do you not even care that I got hurt, Blue?!" Slave asked while tears filled his eyes.

Blue completely ignored Slave. Instead, his violet eyes quickly latched onto the other people in the hallway. Still no emotion could be seen by the man. However behind the mask, his teeth gritted against each other annoyingly.

"Slave," Blue started again calmly "What are they doing here? They should be nowhere near this place, you know that! "

"Oh.." Slave started as he turned back to Ren, Natsu, Lucy and Happy "Well, Master wanted to fight the two S-class mages without any interruptions. So, he sent me to you. It isn't my fault if those guys followed me."

Silence, Tensions raised and hackle.

"You are a fool." Blue said simply, anger just a slight hint in his tone "Do you not remember who I'm guarding here?"

Slave blinked, "I forgot."

More silence. Lucy couldn't help but find their conversation weirdly interesting. Who was Blue? A member of Lacus Animairum of course, but she hadn't actually met someone this calm before.

"The day you die will be my most pleasurable moment," Blue commented before bringing his gaze back to Ren and the rest of them "They shouldn't be here. They cannot see who I'm guarding, but no matter. I have recently gotten the command to join the battle anyway. You people will have to do."

"Who the hell are you?!" Natsu suddenly shouted out loud, not liking this masked man one single bit.

Blue sighed lightly as if he was so very tired and exhausted,

"My name is Blue. It's a pleasure to meet you all." Blue introduced himself, bowing in respect.

Formal too, Lucy realized. He kind of reminded her of one those nobles back in her past life. The ones who always upheld to the social hierarchy and never lowered themselves to anyone else's standards. In other words, Lucy didn't like it at all.

"I'm Ren Fall. This is Lucy Heartfilia, the cat is Happy and over here is Pink-Oh I mean Natsu Dragneel." Ren did the same as Blue.

"You were about to call me Pinky." Natsu growled lowly, pissed off.

Ren shrugged his shoulders and gave Natsu an infuriating smile. Then, he brought his gaze to Blue and his face settled into a serious line. He wouldn't underestimate this guy. He didn't like how his facial features was covered since he had no idea what the guy was thinking.

Suddenly, Blue sighed again. Then, he took a simple step forwards. Two hands reached up to the collars of his blazer slowly tugged them forwards twice as if to move it back into its place.

"I would rather we fight somewhere else apart from this hallway. It would actually be a much more advantage for you. Oh well. Don't expect me to go easy. I will destroy you and your companions here and now, Mr Fall." Blue announced as he held onto his blazer.

"Bring it!" Ren couldn't help but shout obnoxiously back as he raised both of his hands to get ready to fight.

Happy quickly started to fly backwards to Ren so he wouldn't get in the way. Natsu too was getting into a fighting stance. Lucy snapped out her demon key and held it out, ready to summon. Slave pulled himself off the floor, and stood close to Blue which was causing the masked man to get angry.

Violet eyes surrounding by hollow masks quickly analysed its enemies. Blue knew without a single doubt he would win. This wasn't about him being prideful or arrogant. It was just a fact. Like, how the sky was blue or apples grew on trees. But, before either side could launch into an attack Blue noticed something.

"If I may ask. Why are your hands together, Mr. Fall and Mr. Dragneel?" Blue questioned.

"Oh, oh, oh!" Slave suddenly burst out instead "I can explain! I stuck their hands together to bring them here! They look cute together, don't they Blue?"

"We do not!" Natsu and Ren shouted at the same time, before turning to each other and glaring.

Blue didn't say anything at first. Nor did he laugh or anything of the sought sound came from behind his mask. Instead he said;

"unstick them, Slave."

"Huh?" Slave blinked confusingly "B-But Blue! Why? It's better if they're together."

"I do not fight people who are handicapped in any shape or form." Blue replied simply.

Lucy eyes widened when she heard that. Wasn't he meant to be a bad guy? How come he had morals like that? It was unusual for a bad guy too. It was really weird too. Just who was this guy?

"Okay, Blue. For you, I'd do anything since you're my best friend!" Slave proclaimed loudly before turning to Ren and Natsu.

Not letting anyone speak a single word, Slave stretched out a single hand. He quickly clicked his fingers together in a swift movement. The sound echoed throughout the hallway followed by surprised yell by Natsu and Ren. Both moved their stuck hands, only they weren't anymore. Both hands separated from each other easily. The blue substance that covered their hands was magically gone.

"Yes! You're back to me!" Ren couldn't help but shout as he hugged his free hand.

Lucy couldn't help her lips quirk up into a smile. Ren's brightness was really contagious. Natsu, himself, was always going overboard at being free from Ren as well by staring at his hand. Happy just smiled like a well, cat, as he stared at Ren.

"Yosh! Now I am more than ready to beat you!" Ren declared loudly as he raised both his hands again.

Blue stared at him before speaking,

"Such enthusiasm. It's a shame that I would have to kill you."

Everything went silence after his words. Nobody dared to speak. Each party stared at one another. Tensions swam and swarmed all the mages and the single cat. At this very moment, something became very clear to either side. They had to win.

Though before either group could charge, a new voice spoke up.

"What the hell is going on?!"

Instantly, six pair of eyes shot towards the other end of the hallway behind where Slave and Blue stood. At that end of the hallway were three people. Two dark-haired guys and one bluenette lady.

"Goth boy? What the hell are you doing here?" Ren suddenly shouted as he stared at the trio.

"I'm here to save your idiotic ass!" Kuro replied with a slight tick mark on his head.

"What did you say?!" Ren yelled back, a tick mark accompanying his face as well.

"You heard me! You just had to run off on your own like a dipshit!" Kuro criticised.

"Why you!?..." Ren started furious at being called those names.

Everyone around them sweat dropped. Lucy, especially, had to face palm. Even in front of an enemy and in prominent danger, her two teammates had to fight with each other. Why did she have to be paired with such idiots again?

"How did you find us?" Natsu couldn't help but ask simply confused on why Gray was here and not all that happy he was either.

"We didn't. We were just walking through the hallways for ages! But, then we turned this corner and suddenly came across you guys. These are Lacus Animairum members right?" Gray asked, already going into his Ice Make stance.

"Wow, Blue. It's like six against two. That's not fair!" Slave couldn't help but declare out loud.

"Hey! How come you didn't count me in?!" Happy shouted out loud, angry at being left out yet again. Why him? Okay, he knew he was a cat and all but he could fight...Well, he thinks he could anyway. Cowering in a corner was helping, right?

"I won't let you escape Lacus Animairum. I'll show Gray-sama why Juvia is perfect for him! And that Love Rival Kuro isn't worthy!" Juvia suddenly declared out loud.

"For the last time I don't love Gray!" Kuro yelled out desperately.

"Love Rival is just lying! He wants Juvia to let her guard down so he can get Gray-sama! But, Juvia will not lose!" Juvia replied back to no avail.

Before, Kuro could reply that and ask how come Gray wasn't reacting to anything that was being said, a soft cough burst through the atmosphere kind of like how a shooting star always captured people's attention. Everyone's attention landed on the calm masked man. Blue head turned side to side glancing at both Fairy Tail and Scarlet Destiny members surrounding him and Slave. The once humorous atmosphere was quickly sucked up like dust being sucked up by a vacuum.

"It does not matter how many of our enemies face against us Slave. Against me, numbers will not help. Quality is the way to achieve success. You all will lose against me." Blue informed all the mages present calmly.

"Tch! As if you can actually beat us!" Natsu yelled out, fist tightening.

It looked like he was ready to charge now for sure. Along with the rest of Fairy Tail and Scarlet Destiny members. However, again before anyone could move even a single finger, something interrupted them. However, this time, it was something really peculiar.

Lucy's eyes widened into unnatural proportions. It was low at first. Barely catchable. But, in only a few seconds it grew and evolved to something much louder. A voice. A voice was speaking. However, it was like someone speaking down a tube as it was followed by an echoing. The voice wasn't normal. And, she knew why. Someone was speaking...inside her head.

'There will be no introduction. You do not need to know my identity nor do I have a right to give it to you..."

"Do you hear that?" Lucy whispered out loud, into the silent atmosphere.

"Yeah...It's like someone's speaking in my head..." Ren said confusingly, both his hands reaching up to his head where the alienated voice was coming from.

"It seems the Lord is talking to us all." Blue interrupted everyone, voice held not even a drop of emotion.

"Lord...Is that the mind mage?" Kuro suddenly yelled out, jaw twitching with different emotions.

Mind mage? Lucy had no idea who the hell that was or what Kuro was talking about. She wasn't the only one confused. On Ren and Natsu the emotion was palpable. Although, from Gray's and Juvia's looks, she could tell they knew what Kuro was talking about. Even Happy didn't look that confused.

"Yes. I've heard that you know quite a bit about the subject. It seems our Lord, our leader, wishes to speak to you all. As a mind mage, brains are his battlefields. Speaking into other people's minds, are just one of his many abilities." Blue explained and Slave seemed to be staring at Blue like he was hanging from his every word.

The voice was suddenly starting up in everyone's mind again,

"I am simply Lord. My objective...None of you will live long enough to find out. Scarlet Destiny and Fairy Tail, this is where all you will end. My Lacus Animairum guild will simply destroy you all..."

Ren gritted his teeth hard. He didn't like this voice at all. He didn't like that this person was in his mind. He knew mind magic very well because of Zolo. He knew how it worked. How there was no escape from it.

"I have one goal for suddenly talking into your minds. That one goal is to inform you of something. I have managed to achieve the last thing needed to defeat both your guilds..."

"What?!" Natsu yelled out in disbelief, face looking down, as he was concentrating on the voice in his head.

He wasn't the only one so shocked by this revelation. Ren's teeth gritted harder together and Kuro's jaw seemed to tick even more. Gray had a look of absolute annoyance and shock on his face. Juvia's lips settled into a thin line. Happy seemed to shake just the slightest.

"Most of you must be wondering what that is...The answer is simple. I have in my possession the second-in-command of Scarlet Destiny..."

A shocked gasp escaped from Lucy's lips instantly at the revelations. Kuro's jaw dropped, eyes nearly popping out of its sockets. Happy was now trembling but not with fear, with rage? No...

"He has Sarah...?" Ren trailed off in disbelief.

He wasn't the only one. How could he have her? She was always with Jared?...Jared! Where was he? What the hell happened? How the hell did this happen? Why did it happen? All these thoughts consumed Scarlet Destiny member's minds.

"I do not care if you believe me...But I predict most of you will...After all why would I lie? Now the answer to why I told you. Simple. Come for me. Attack us. Find me. If you do not...Well, I suppose the second-in-command will not last very long..."

"You...Fucking Bastard..." Ren snarled pure fury in his voice.

He didn't even care where the hell Lord was. He just wanted to find the piece of shit and beat the crap out of him.

And Ren wasn't the only one that wanted to either.

"Tick tock now. Times wasting. The longer you take the more she'll be hurt. After all there are millions of ways to break a mind after all."

After that there was just silence. A very hollow silence. Not even a single sound dared to break the seeping tension. Ren's fists were tight in fury. If Kuro was to grit his jaw any further, he would break it. Lucy eyes were just way too wide and shocked to be normal. Every single strand of Happy's hair was standing up straight and tall like soldiers heading for war.

"Looks like one secret has been revealed." Blue commented musingly.

"Shut up..." Ren growled lowly "I don't actually care what the hell you're up to. I don't give a damn shit about it either. But...You've crossed the line...You've hurt one of our members. I won't let you live. I'd rather kill myself then let even a single member of your damn guild live!"

Unknown to everyone else, Blue's eyes widened in surprise behind his mask. He didn't actually expect such a big reaction. Sure, he knew the master of Scarlet Destiny would be more than furious but it seemed the guild members were feeling the same way too. Slave was just as surprised too, and it was showing on his face.

"Ren...Leave." Kuro suddenly spoke up, dark eyes that seemed to be bleeding with fury focused on the blue-haired man.

"What? Why would he leave?" Natsu interrupted, confused by it all of a sudden.

"I-We'll handle Slave and the masked man! You have to go after Sarah! You have to find her! Especially before Jared does! You have too!" Kuro announced loudly, voice very elevated.

"Why-?" Natsu started only this time to be interrupted by Lucy,

"I understand. Jared cares about her too much. If he didn't know about this...If he's finding this out now then he's going to be more than furious. He'd go insane. And he can't fight when's he's this angry! Not to mention all this is very fishy! We have to get to her before he does!" Lucy explained hurriedly.

Happy was nodding his head already understanding everything. It looked like all three were more than ready to jolt away from the to-be fighting scene. Natsu still looked confused slightly, but seemed to concede of going with them.

"We're going to save her." Ren couldn't help but say to Kuro.

"Of course we are doofus! Just hurry up and leave!" Kuro shouted back, nodding slightly.

Ren nodded back and quickly turned around, with Lucy, Happy and Natsu following his actions. Soon multiple feet crashed to the floor as all four turned around the corner of the hallway and disappeared.

Slave looked like he was going to follow them but before he could, suddenly the walls started to bleed black. Millions of shadows seemed to flow down the walls like a waterfall. They seemed to swarm together and looked like they were enclosing around Slave and Blue in a matter of seconds.

Blue stared at Kuro, who had his hands held back, seeming the one to be creating the mass shadows.

'This one seems strong...I should not underestimate him. Destroy him first. The other two will follow shortly.' Blue thought in his mind, as he turned his body completely to Kuro, Gray and Juvia.

Kuro eyes hardened significantly at the move. With a swift act, he flung both his arms out forwards. The shadows rose from the wall, into a million tentacles, and launched straight to Blue and Slave, ready to pierce them through.

Levy's eyes widened more the voice spoke into her mind. She was the one to realize instantly who this was. The mind mage. Lord. The information he gave was crude, cruel and she couldn't help to be disgusted by it all. She knew Scarlet Destiny was like some sort of gigantic family. She couldn't even imagine how one of them must feel to find out a member has been hurt.

There were multiple red arrows around her. Most were broken while some were actually smeared with blood. Levy herself was covered in cuts. Kurai was a talented archer. She barely missed. Most of her attacks had managed to hurt both her and Veruna with cuts yet they were luckily not wounded too much yet.

Suddenly, Kurai appeared back into reality a few feet away from Levy. An arrow was already across her bow, ready to fire. She cocked her head to the side as if she was thinking about something.

"So, looks like you found out what our Lord has done. You've probably already figured out why we did it right shorty? It makes Scarlet Destiny panics, knowing one of their members are in trouble. Panicking makes them make mistakes. Although, I have to tell you that isn't the real or main reason."

Levy would have shouted at her for the 'Shorty' phrase however she was more confused,

"What's the real reason?"

"Uh uh! Remember the bet! I'll tell you everything only after you beat me!" Kurai laughed, looking ready to launch her next attack.

Levy gritted her teeth. She really didn't like this girl.

"Horrible..." a new voice spoke up causing both Levy and Kurai to look back.

Veruna stood still, head slightly down, her fridge causing a dark shadow to cross over her eyes. Her arms were tightly locked onto the sides of her body and she didn't look normal.

"Veruna-" Levy started only to be interrupting,

"Sarah helped everyone. She's so sweet. She wouldn't hurt anybody not even those fake hits that people do with their friends...You have no reason to target her. To hurt her..." Veruna spoke softly, her tone gradually getting harsher as she spoke each word.

"Oh? And what the hell are you going to do?" Kurai laughed back.

"I'm going to hurt you...After I'm through, I'll make sure you'll never be able to launch an arrow ever again."

Levy's eyes widened at Veruna's words. They were spoken so coldly, so harshly. She couldn't believe she was hearing that tone from the usually cheerful girl.

Suddenly Veruna let out a battle cry. She stretched one of her hands away from her body. Instantly, something started to form in her hand. The form was really bright at first, light before solidifying to form some sort of sceptre. It had two sharp edges at the top, separated like devil horns. In between that was a small circle. Half was in bright gold and the other dark black. The weapon as tall as Veruna and coloured in bright gold with stripes of black littered through.

Levy's eyes widened when she saw the weapon. She couldn't believe it. She had never seen a weapon like that. Was this the power of the moon and sun? This weapon. Kurai seemed to look at it a bit strangely too as she seemed to take a small step back.

"You're going down!" Veruna yelled out loud before shouting,

"Sun Blast!"

Instantly, the middle of the sceptre where the circle, between the two devil horns prongs started to glow a bright light. Too bright. Levy had to cover her eyes as this bright light seemed to overwhelm everything in the room. She wasn't the only one. Kurai had too as well.

The bright light launched off of the sceptre and headed straight for Kurai.

Red grinned behind his mask like a Cheshire Cat. Now that Lord had made direct contact things had started to get really good. The look on Gajeel's face and the girl Nyx's was absolutely hilarious! They didn't even think it was a possibly that their guild kidnapped one of their members.

The once smooth, polished metal room was surrounding by multiple holes. Some made by Gajeel, other by Nyx. Gajeel Iron club or by Nyx's metal punches. They were both good. Red's bracelet was still in the shape of two small daggers and he wasn't that injured. But, neither were his enemies.

"So, how does it feel to know that-" Red could not finish his mocking sentence.

Out of nowhere, Nyx launched straight at him. She gave a quick spin for momentum before kicking out a booted leg straight out at Red's gut. Since Red wasn't expecting it, the hit landed directly on his gut. He flew backwards, hitting his head on the metal wall.

Gajeel eyes widened at the attack before he couldn't help it. He burst out laughing. Yup, payback was a bitch. And it was so brilliant.

Red limply managed to get off the floor, although he was wobbling off balance. Underneath the mask, a trail of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. He gasped out loud. It felt someone hit him with a metal stick right on his gut. It hurt!

"I don't know why you took Sarah," Nyx started voice cold as steel "I don't care either. But, you will pay for hurting a member of Scarlet Destiny. We won't let you get away with it. I promise you, when I'm done, you won't ever be able to walk again."

While no one could see the emotion on Red's face, it was obvious from his body posture that he didn't like this one bit.

Gajeel, on the other hand, had to reluctantly admit it. This girl was someone you didn't want to mess with. She was strong. Brute force wasn't something you want to go against.

Ren let out short breaths as he ran through the hallway. He didn't actually know which way Sarah was. He didn't care either. People were depending on him. Kuro was depending on him. He needed to save his guild mate.

Lucy was running along him as well, equally worried. It was bad that they had no idea where Sarah was in the first place. Lord didn't even give a single clue. But, it wouldn't stop them. They would run no matter how much energy it took to find her, because she was simply a friend. And a family member that needed to be saved.

"Wait..." Natsu suddenly spoke up, as he slowed down his run behind them.

"What? We don't have time to wait! You heard that Lord bastard! We have to find Sarah as soon as possible!" Ren snapped back, anger consuming his body that he stopped running.

Lucy and Happy both slowed down. They knew what was happening. Red was agitated, furious. That a family member and a friend of their guild could be in pain right now.

"I know that!" Natsu suddenly exploded back, not happy how Ren was talking to him "I was just thinking, maybe we should split up. I should go a different way. And you three should go another way."

Silence.

"What?" Happy asked Natsu confused "Why?"

"It might be easier to find the girl right?" Natsu replied back.

"I don't know...Maybe we should keep together. If you were to run into a Lacus Animairum member then it might be hard to take on alone. Especially this Lord guy." Lucy suggested back.

"What?! I can handle myself you know, Lucy! I'm strong!" Natsu snarled back, not appreciating what Lucy was saying.

"I never said you weren't Natsu-" Lucy started only to be interrupted,

"Then why are you talking like your saying I'm not?!" Natsu yelled back.

"Hey, don't yell at her! She's only trying to help!" Ren suddenly butted in.

He walked forwards so he was closer to Natsu. Ren glared angrily at the pink-haired slayer who returned the favour.

"I'm trying to help by suggesting to split up. I don't know why you're all yelling at me but it's pissing me off!" Natsu growled back.

"Your right Natsu. We shouldn't yell at you. But we're all worried about Sarah-" Lucy tried to speak again only she was interrupted by the dragon slayer.

"I don't know why you're pretending to care! You did kill Elfman?!"

Utter silence. Lucy eyes widened. Natsu had brought it up on a few occasions with the group but she usually just ignored it. But, he had never said it like that so ruthlessly before. Ren's teeth gritted hard together as he took a threatening step to Natsu,

"I don't think you should bring that up right now, Pinky."

"What? You think I'd forget about what Lucy did to Elfman? She killed him, remember!"

"We both know that's not the truth! Lucy wouldn't do it!"

"At this point, I believe she did! She had too!"

"Ugh, I can't be assed to fight with you right now! Our priority is to find Sarah." Ren suddenly snapped back harshly, twisting around so he wouldn't have to stare at Natsu's infuriating face anymore.

It looked like the small argument over a simple matter was over. Ren started to walk forward, while Lucy seemed to follow with Ren. Only, it was never really over. Because with a few words, Natsu unknowingly made it worse.

"I'm a dragon slayer so I am very strong! Just like you!...Or not like you since you have your wings things? Did your dragon teach you that?"

Ren's back went ridged. Happy paused in mid-air gaze flinging between Ren and Natsu knowing what the former was like when someone mentioned his dragon. Lucy too was in shock remembering her conversation with Ren about his dragon and how much sadness there was too it.

"Don't..." Ren suddenly whispered softly "Don't bring up my dragon."

"Why not?" Natsu pressed "I talked to you about my dragon Igneel! Yet, you didn't even mention anything about yours. Not even a name."

Ren's hands balled into tight fist at Natsu's words.

"Stop..." Ren tailed off quietly.

"Why? What's so wrong about speaking about our dragons? Our parents?" Natsu questioned.

Ren didn't reply to that. He couldn't. What was wrong with speaking about his dragon? Where could be even begin?

"...Is it because you believe that your dragon abandoned you? Because if it is...Then you are wrong!" Natsu carried on, not knowing how much this was affecting Ren.

Lucy could though. Ren's shoulders seemed to be shaking badly. The once cheerful boy was long and hidden. The person in front of her was in complete turmoil. And, Lucy didn't even know why.

"Natsu!" Lucy interrupted not being able to see Ren like this any longer "Stop! Don't you see how much this is affecting Ren?"

Natsu couldn't hold his anger in any longer,

"Why should I listen to a killer like you?!"

THUD!

Lucy's eyes widened into big pools of melted chocolate. A sharp gasp escaped her lips followed by Happy who had the exact reaction. Natsu, who was previously standing a second ago, was sprawled across the ground, a few inches from the wall. A hand cupping his right cheek that was slowly bruising up and turning bright red.

In Natsu's previous space, it was Ren who was breathing heavily. His right arm was still out stretched, hand in a sharp fist. The same fist that had punched Natsu's cheek so suddenly and so hard that caused him to fly backwards.

However, Ren wasn't over with Natsu just yet.

The blue-haired boy quickly made his way to Natsu in a matter of seconds. He grabbed the pink-haired slayer by the front of his shirt, near his shoulders, balling the material tightly into his hands. With a loud roar, Ren picked up Natsu like he weighed nothing more than a feather and smashed him against the wall of the hallway. Natsu's back hit it painfully, causing him to grit his teeth in pain.

Lucy raised a hand to her mouth in shock. This was the first time she'd ever seen Ren this angry, ever. She wasn't the only one. Even Happy was in awe at how angry Ren seemed to be.

"Listen up and listen well," Ren started with a sharp hiss "I never liked the idea of working with you in the first place...But I did! For my guilds sake, I didn't hurt you so my master wouldn't get into trouble. But, at this point, I think I have to make some things clear!"

A pause as Ren took a deep breath in and out while Natsu stared at him with wide eyes. Their faces were only a few inches apart.

"There are two things I never want to hear from your mouth again! The first is my dragon. Mention it and I swear to god I will punch you so hard that you'll lose all your coordination! I hate talking about my dragon! I hate thinking about my dragon! I hate everything about it!" Ren yelled out loudly in Natsu's face.

Why? At this moment all Lucy could think about was why Ren was in this much pain about his dragon.

"The second thing is calling Lucy a killer! You say that she is one more time and I'll make sure you'll regret it! She isn't and she never will be! She didn't kill Elfman! And, I don't care whatever happens! I will never believe that she did. No matter what."

Silence.

"You ever bring up these things again and you will be in for a world of pain. And, no this isn't some sort of promise I'm giving you. This is a flipping fact!" Ren finished his warning and he finally let go of Natsu who dropped onto the floor at once.

For once the pink-haired slayer was speechless. He didn't know how to react. He had never been picked up, literally, like that and given a warning like that before. It had been so serious, almost ruthless in the saying, the complete opposite of how this blue-haired character usually was.

Ren, on the other hand, felt other regret. He had lost it and in that moment he knew it. But, his dragon had been brought up and he couldn't help it. Turning around, he caught sight of Lucy staring at him like she didn't even know who he was. That was the nail in the coffin. Ren knew he wouldn't be able to save Sarah like this. He wouldn't be able to do anything. He was nothing.

He left. Ren couldn't stay in that one place any longer. Like the coward he thought he was, he quickly ran out from the hallway, turned the corner so he could at least take a breather. In his place, he left silence.

Lucy moved her eyes from Natsu who was still shocked on the floor and to Happy who was flying in the air a drift. She knew at once what she had to do. She had to talk to Ren. She had to know. About his past. About his everything. Or she wouldn't be able to go on.

"Happy, you think you can take care of Natsu for a bit? I think I need to talk to Ren." Lucy spoke up as she looked down the path where Ren had fled to.

"A-Aye." Happy agreed and he watched as Lucy quickly followed Ren's path even before he could get the words out.

"Ren?" Lucy asked, her voice knifing through the tension in the air.

Ren who was sitting, his back leaning against the wall, stiffened slightly at her soft voice. It took a few moments before his body relaxed. His gaze stayed on his knees and didn't dare look up at Lucy.

Lucy could feel her eyes dropped in sadness as she stared at Ren. She didn't like seeing him sad. He was always so happy that seeing him sad was so unnatural. She kind of just wants to make him happy again.

Instead for now she moved and quickly sat down next to Ren, as close as she could, and adopting a similar position he was in. Once settled, they both didn't talk but just sat in silence. Neither of them moved a single inch.

Finally, Lucy bit the bullet,

"We're talking about it, you know?"

At once, Ren's lips turned into a slight smile.

"You know most people give others an option. There like "Do you want to talk about it?" Ren teased slightly, despite the situation.

"I think we're way past that now, Ren." Lucy snorted before sobering up "What happened Ren? What made you so sad like this?"

Ren stills at her words. He could feel his chest tightens. Could he tell her? No, that was the wrong question. The real one was; would he tell her? But, Ren knew in his heart what the answer to the question was.

"It started out normally. I was just another dragon slayer. Ha, I had a dragon that brought me up, taught me, helped me...Of course, it didn't last. Seven years ago my dragon disappeared never to be seen again just like other dragon slayers, dragons did." Ren started.

Lucy nodded her head as indication to carry on.

"I...I wish that I met Scarlet Destiny as soon as I lost my dragon. Life would be so much easier than. I didn't though. I remember wondering around at ten years old, not knowing where I was and being totally alone. I remember crying so much for my dragon. I remember being scared to the point where I felt I couldn't breathe. I don't know how long I was like this. I can't remember but each day was the worst then the next." Ren explained.

"...Go on, Ren. What happened to you?" Lucy asked.

Ren took a deep breath. This was it. He had to say it now or it was going to be never.

"I met these people...I don't remember who they were. All I remember about them was the whiteness of their coats. These people were called themselves 'Scientist'. At first, I thought they were good. That they were going to help me. By either helping me find my dragon or taking care of me. I was a little kid and I trusted them. That was my mistake. I shouldn't have. They took me back with them. They said they were giving me a home. It was a lie though." Ren paused to let this sink in to Lucy.

"These scientist were interested me. Or rather my magical side. Dragon slayer magic was rare even back then and they wanted to know how I managed to learn it. How my body could control such magic...I don't remember what happened when I arrived in their...Experiment room the first time. I remember being locked up, chained up to a wall being tortured to the point where my brain felt like mush. I couldn't escape. From then on, I became their little lab rat...'To be tortured for the great path of science' they used to tell me."

"That's horrible..." Lucy trailed off.

"There were other kids with me but again, I don't remember so well. Most of what I remember was being in intense pain...The reason why I can have wings...Why I can change parts of my body isn't because my dragon taught me...It's because of the scientist. They somehow made me do it through the torture and experiments. I remember them telling me it was a huge accomplishment but it hurt like hell when they forced me to grow wings for the first time...Almost like someone was scraping my back with a grater." Ren explained his ending his sentence in a whisper.

Lucy didn't say anything. How could she? What could she even say to it?

"It continued for...three years. Three years of constant experiments. Three years of being treated worse than an animal. My escape was actually because of the Magic Council. They heard about what the group of scientist were doing experiments and sent the Royal Army to disband the group. The royal army managed to do it and killed every single member of the scientist group. They also managed to take all the other experiments that were living. As for me, when the royal army invaded I managed to slip past through all the chaos. I ran. Far as my legs could take me until they were sore as hell. In a few days I stumbled upon the dark forest. I collapsed inside it. When I woke up, I was in Scarlet Destiny guild. Apparently, Genta found me in the forest and took me back. I was scared at first, more than scared, but I covered it up by smiling and laughing and pretending everything was okay." Ren explained.

"Ren..." Lucy trailed off.

"That's how I handled the pain. Pretend it never happened. Laugh and everything would be okay. Be a fool and you'll get through. Although people saw through it. Jared, Sarah, Genta, hell even Kuro did after a while. But, I kept up the façade. I believed if I was happy I'd be okay. Kuro proved me wrong in that. He knocked some sense in to me. That pretending being happy would never make me truly happy. After a while in being in Scarlet Destiny, I started to get better. I actually stopped pretending and really became happy. Although, I still hide the pain. I can't stop myself from hiding it." Ren announced.

Nearly everything was through. She nearly knew all of it. But, there was still something that Lucy was missing.

"What about your dragon? Why do you hate thinking about your dragon so much?"

Ren stilled before shaking at the question. He quickly stood up from the sitting position and turned to stare at Lucy followed his lead and stood up. Blue stared at melted brown. Ren gulped hard.

"I hate thinking about my dragon because...I don't remember them at all...T-The scientist made me forgot about my dragon because of all the experiments. I don't remember my dragon's name. I don't remember even a single damn memory of my dragon. I don't remember how they looked after me, or what they taught me. Nothing. H-Hell, I don't even remember if my dragon was a father or mother. It's useless. I forgot almost everything." Ren announced, tears like clear crystals in his eyes.

"Almost..." Lucy whispered.

"T-There is one single thing I remember. The colour of their scales. It was blue, clear as the ocean except even more spectacular than that. They were similar like my wings but way more better. It was a sight to behold. That's all I remember from my dragon. I can't search for them. How do I search for a person that I don't even remember? But...There's something I hate...I hate myself. What kind of child forgets their parent? No child...That's why it's me whose wrong...That's why I'm the worse Lucy...I'm the worst..." Ren trailed off.

This was the moment when Lucy knew she heard everything. But it was so much more horrible, so much worse than she could even imagine. She couldn't even begin to think about how Ren feels. She didn't even know what to say to him about it. What could she say? There was nothing she could say to make him feel better. Staring at the blue-haired dragon slayer who had his head down to the direction of the floor caused her heart to ache.

What could she do?

Ren's thoughts were different. He didn't know what to do either. Lucy now knew his past. Would she see him differently? With pity? He didn't want that. He had no idea why this happened to him but it did and he knew he couldn't change it no matter how much he wanted too.

Suddenly, it happened. He felt something hit the middle of his chest softly. Two thin arms wrapped around his body and held out tight. Ren's eyes widened as he looked down at the body that was currently hugging him. Lucy. Lucy was hugging him.

Automatically, Ren wrapped his own arms around the girl, holding her delicately. He could feel wetness in the middle of his shirt and he wondered...Was she really crying for him? It made him hold her tighter.

And, in that single moment Ren knew what Lucy was doing. He didn't need anyone to tell him things were going to be fine. Or he was going to find his dragon again. He didn't need those things. Ren just needed someone to hold him. To show him that they understood what he had gone through. To show him that even after hearing everything he was still the same person she knew.

That's why Lucy was hugging him. She was giving not only what he needed but also what he wanted. Just that person to be there next to him and not disappearing.

A small smile spread across Ren's features. Lucy was doing this for him. He needed to repay the favour. Slowly, his hands moved from her waist to the back of her head and he placed them there for a few seconds. Then, he grabbed a bit of her hair and tugged back lightly.

Lucy took the sign and lifted her head so she could look at Ren's face. Seeing the bright smile on his face instantly caused one to burst onto hers. They were so close together. Ren leaned forwards and gently placed his forehead against Lucy's. His hands left her head and trailed over her ears to her wet cheeks and started to lightly stroke them.

"Thank you. Thank you for understanding me." Ren whispered to her.

"No...Thank you Ren. For accepting me into your life. For letting me hear your past. For letting me comfort you. For trusting me."

The duo were in their own world. Lucy's eyes dropped close as she concentrated on Ren's feather like touch on her cheeks. Ren concentrated on her face, how beautiful she looked in that moment, how soft her skin was and how he actually didn't want to let her go at that moment.

The two stayed together like that...Hoping the spell wouldn't ever be broken.

In a random hallway of the mansion, stood alone figure. He had stood there for some time. Just still as a statue. The master of Scarlet Destiny had no emotion on his face however inside of him, he was in turmoil.

"I have in my possession the second-in-command of Scarlet Destiny..."

Jared gritted his teeth together hard. He had Sarah. This bastard had his Sarah.

"If you do not...Well, I suppose the second-in-command will not last very long..."

He was hurting her. Here, Jared was wondering down hallways while his Sarah was in pain.

"The longer you take the more she'll be hurt. After all there are millions of ways to break a mind after all."

He would kill this Lord. Jared actually didn't give a shit at this point. His whole mind was blaming it on himself. It was his fault that Sarah was captured. He left her all alone. He shouldn't have. If he didn't leave, she wouldn't have been in pain.

He was going to make this Lord pay. He was going to make sure the person didn't live to see another day. He was going to rip this Lord apart. He was going to get Sarah and never let her go.

Although, something hollow was taking over Jared's heart. He was breaking his promise to Sarah. He promised he'd always be by her side but right now she was all alone with god knows who and god knows here. It was his entire fault.

With a threatening roar, the still black-haired boy launched into a run forwards. His goal. Sarah.

Unknown to the Master of Scarlet Destiny, being with Sarah would be the worst thing that would ever happen to him.

AND DONE! Wow, this chapter had loads of emotional stuff in it. So, it looks like its Blue and Slave VS Kuro, Gray and Juvia. Oooh, that's going to be good. Everyone found out about Sarah and we see a few reactions. You also get a fight breaking out between Natsu and Ren and of course Ren's past DX Which lead to some ReLu goodness XD And poor Jared at the end. He has no idea what he's in store for.

Please read the following...Please read the following...Please read the following...Please read the following:

1) Last chapter I got some reviews that were like 'There after Lucy...Here it goes again' Which actually made me laugh. When I started this fanfiction I was still watching Fairy Tail and was on to the part where Lisanna came back. So Lucy has only been kidnapped once/twice. But, this story was going to be Lucy based in the beginning anyway. Oh and I read the manga of Fairy Tail but I do it as I watch the episode then check out the chapter (I like things more visual then picture based so I prefer anime more then the manga but its just my opinion)

2) Someone asked me a while ago why I didn't make Ren have motion sickness. Well the reasons simple. Its because when I first started watching Fairy Tail and the first episode I thought motion sickness was apart of Natsu's personality. It made Natsu, Natsu. So, I didn't really think it was great that suddenly all dragon slayers had motion sickness since I though it was a part of Natsu that should have belonged to just him. So, I didn't make Ren get motion sickness. I think its one of the only Fairy Tail ideas from Mashima that I didn't like.

By the way, its my birthday today! Yup, I'm 19 now...God, getting old XD

Till next time...see yh!
