The dream Chapter 29

A

Those shits thought they'd broken him, scared/proved that a body is just a body and pleasure(read sexa9especially weird sex, booze, drugs) of any kind is all there is to life...all you can hope for...dream of...live for.

If you're gay.

Marco had met a few of those sad lost ones; empty headed, empty hearts; willing to say or do almost anything to get into the pants or pocket of anybody 'new' to 'their-scene.

More like they'd just added a coal to a fire that was already there.

That fire that Marco had first found out about way back in the beginning...
Before this us...
that is going to be...
A ...marriage..!?

Back when the two of them were just getting to know and learn just how different their coping styles were...

Marco, outgoing, but a very careful planer, more logical than he liked to let on(he considered this his 'girly' side) liked to weigh as many of the options that he could think of, ask a few carefully thought out questions, then mull it over for a while...
Whatever 'it' was.
His pop was a good one to bounce ideas off...he hardly ever thought 'why', just answered.
Mama, with her 'intuition' could be dangerous.
Way too often she'd figure out the why, and almost everything else, which could kill a plan before it even got off the ground!

Dylan, up for almost anything, no fore-thought required...if it might be fun for him, and get a few laughs in the telling.
If it wasn't about hockey why bother wasting time thinking about it?
Do it, laugh about it, move on to something else...just kill time between games and practice.

Being gay?
Big shift...but he's still himself, and becoming a stereotype is not part of his game plan.

Did becoming more and more convinced that this really is a true thing...really how it's gonna be for him make him pay more attention to all things gay?
Sure, of course...how else ?

Secretly...
Of course...secretly..
Dylan checked out more stories or any other info he could safely get to... about... THEM.

Books or magazines could be wrapped in hockey magazines. Internet searches were fine...as long as you didn't log-in to anything.
There seemed to be no shortage of Them in the entertainment world.

Not so much in sports...not OPENLY anyway...
Not...
OUT.

None of it...none of THEM, seemed anything like him.

Nothing he got hold of said anything about an ordinary guy that just happens to like other guys.

He didn't find himself feeling any differently about anything else; he still liked so many things that grossed his sister out.

Both Paige and his mother still seemed to think he(1) had no 'fashion-sense' (2)couldn't organize or keep his room neat enough to not give them a headache from one glance (3)couldn't be trusted to pick a GOOD Movie.

Dylan didn't think he'd ever want to watch some sappy thing that was supposed to make you cry...Disney excepted...
That was different.

He couldn't see himself becoming mean and overly picky about everything just to prove what he knew about it.
How could you claim to be such a sensitive person by being insensitive?

And Sex?
Between his mom, his dad, and all those things they made you learn in Health and Human development...well, at least he'd never get anyone pregers!

B

Girls...

Dylan had figured that once he was 'out' the girls that screamed for him and wanted to chat/flirt with him after a game or a practice would just do a fade-out and disappear.

Not!?

Yeah, a lot of girls either really like(as in friendship) gay guys, or want to be THE-ONE to give them such an amazing sexual experience that they decide they aren't gay anymore, or they want to be a... friend with benefits.

And a lot of them were perfectly willing to say right out what they have in mind, not shy about it at all.
Too weird!

So the 'harem' Paige liked to tease him about didn't go away...
The faces just changed.
if anything, there seemed to be more of them...and they got (gulp) younger!?

According to Paige, he was now the perfect crush...

They'd never have to really try for him.

The fact that 'The Dylan Michalchuk'; blond-haired, blue-eyed, 'Grinder!', master at making the puck look stuck to his stick...who scores but isn't a 'hog' about it...Will actually TALK to, sign things/answer questions(no matter how dumb) and not make even a kid feel stupid!

"Well gee hun," Paige said, doing a 'well-duh!' eye-roll, "They could print your picture under the definition of hot!"

A/N: I really miss being able to add without re-printing the WHOLE THING! %&*! hope to get back to this thurs.
