A/N:

Wow; it's truly been ages since I've updated with a single chapter for this story. As you may know from my previous Author's Note, I've been struggling with continuing this series, so forgive me if this chapter seems a little ooc and the like. It's also rather short since I'm a bit rusty when it comes to writing this now! I would like to reiterate something else I said in my last Author's Note: I would love it if you all were to leave a review with what you like, what you don't like, or any suggestions/tips concerning my writing or the plotline/characters of this fanfic.

Thank you so much for your previous reviews and your support of Angel in Disguise!

Chapter 29

My eyes blinked slowly open, and I rose from the bundle of white sheets on the bed. Glancing over to the bed beside mine, I noticed a certain angel was no longer there.

"Gabriel?" I called out. "If you're hiding, I'm really not in the mood right now to –" I froze.

The clocks were stopped at 3:30 a.m. I could hear a faint, distant static sound, and a cool breeze suddenly drifted through the room. I gulped.

"Whatever you are," I spoke cautiously, "show yourself."

The lights flickered and the hair soon stood on the back of my neck. There was something or someone else in the room…I could feel them, I could feel their breath on me, I could…

"Behind y o u." I whipped around to come face to face with horror.

Red. There was so much red in the room that it swallowed the white walls and white bed sheets whole. There wasn't anyone there. There was red nothing and it spanned on for great lengths. I felt my mouth open wide, but no scream came out. I didn't dare move from my spot in bed, afraid to be captured in the red around me.

"Sabrina. Sabrina, wake up."

I shuddered, my eyes flashing open, and the red collapsed. My breaths came out shortly, and I felt manic.

"You must've been having a bad dream, or…was that a vision?" Gabriel questioned, eyes wide. "I don't have a clue," I murmured. "I've never…I've never had a vision that vivid before in my life."

I felt my heart beat rapidly in my chest, and I pressed my hand up against it. Gabriel, apparently, noticed this, and frowned. "Sabrina, you okay?" I grimaced. "I'm just a little shaken, that's all." Hopefully whatever had actually happened wouldn't occur again. Or else, I was looking ahead to quite a few sleepless nights.

To be honest, I avoided sleep sometimes. It's unhealthy, I know, but I do that so I don't have to see repeats of certain visions or see really, really horrible things and end up waking everybody up. Luckily, though, I had someone else in my room to wake me from some of my more terrifying visions.

At around nine in the morning, Gabriel and I were back at Jordan and Oliver's campus, waiting for Sam and Dean to return from the hotel. My siblings were attending some classes and the radio booth was currently being looked at by some police officers, and so, we all thought it would be the perfect time to go ahead and research the case a little bit more.

As Gabriel and I sat on one of the few unoccupied benches, waiting patiently for the brothers, I heard a question I rather would not have thought about. "Sabrina, you're going to tell Sam and Dean about your vision, right?" Gabriel asked.

I let out a sigh. "I don't really want to, but I guess I should." His eyebrows rose at my statement, and I think I knew why. "Why not?"

"Sometimes, I feel like my visions are personal and that it almost feels a bit wrong to share them with others, especially when they're not exactly…clear. I never know what some of them are all the time, you know? Like last night's."

"You know, you never did tell me what you saw," he pointed out. I smiled bitterly. Well, I guess I had to tell him. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he already knew about my dream, what with him being an angel and all. At least, that's what I think one of his powers was. "I didn't, did I?" He shook his head.

"If you promise to not tell Sam and Dean, I'll share it with you, okay?" I told him, and I couldn't help but laugh at that. Didn't ever think I would keep anything from the Winchesters.

Gabriel studied me for a moment before smiling softly, and he stuck out his hand. "Angel's honor." "Angel's honor? Is that supposed to be like Scout's honor?" I laughed, and he grinned and shrugged. "Hey, why not?"

After shaking his hand, I began to recount my vision to the best of my ability. "So, I was in our hotel room and I woke up. You weren't in the room, and I thought that maybe you had gone to go get ice or maybe you were pulling a prank. Anyway, the clocks were stopped at 3:30 a.m."

I paused for a second. "Well…I could tell it was a vision. There was a breeze in the room, and a mechanical humming noise, and I called out for whatever else was in the room with me to appear. Of course, it followed my commands," I spoke, "and there was a whisper with no being attached that said to look behind me. And then, the room was covered in red."

Gabriel's pink lips formed a frown, and I could tell he didn't quite know what to think of all this. To be fair, though, I didn't know what to think, either.

"You know," he suddenly said, "Sabrina, if this continues, you should probably visit another psychic." I sighed, crossing my arms. "You don't think I know that?" I asked him. "Honestly, Gabe, I know what to do."

Gabriel was silent, pondering over my words. It was odd to see him like this; his face easily betrayed worry, his eyes no longer bright and cheery as they normally were. Finally, he spoke.

"Okay, Sabrina; I trust you," he said, and he gave me a small smile. But the worry in his eyes was still there, deep within him, and I couldn't help but feel the same.
