It had all been a blur. The last year of her life she had encountered so much, even when she tried to recall back to when it all started, she realised, she could no longer remember.

There were too many bodies, too many Jane and John Doe's, too much of everything.

Olivia stroked her tiny belly, not even a pea yet. She smiled feeling a warm rush of natural maternal love sweep her entire body. She was going to be a mom.

Did it matter that she was bringing a child into a world of rape, hate, hurt, crime, violence? No, because that baby was already more loved than you could ever imagine.

Olivia rolled over in bed, the sun was shining brightly through the gap in the curtains, enough to make her look away. She felt happy, finally, she was happy.

Olivia snuggled into Elliot's arm as he slept, but instinctively he pulled her in. She looked at Elliot's digital clock that flashed '9.06' over and over again. Olivia kissed Elliot on the cheek and slipped out of his loving embrace. She went into the bathroom and flicked on the shower, she put a pot of coffee on, then half way through pouring a cup, put it down as she caught herself.

"No coffee for you little one." she said softly to her belly.

Getting in the hot shower, water beaded down Olivia's face, she couldn't help but think about the baby growing inside her. How she finally was going to be a mother, and she couldn't have picked anyone better to be the father.

She thought about Elliot sleeping and how he was the happiest she'd ever seen him; then she thought about what she was doing today, that would undoubtedly upset Elliot; but she had to do it. She had to watch Masterson's body go into the ground and know that it's done. Olivia washed her hair and thought about what felt like an unhealthy obsession with Masterson. The mother to be was on edge, permanently. Masterson had gotten under her skin and rooted herself to Olivia's brain. Today was the final closure; Olivia would stand at that graveside and watch as the coffin gets lowered into the ground. She couldn't keep explaining her fear to Elliot, he thought now Masterson was dead, it was over. But it wasn't. But it was going to be.

Stepping out the shower Olivia dried herself off, she walked back into the bedroom and couldn't help but smile as she caught a glimpse of her wedding dress hanging on the back of the bedroom door. A smile resurfaced, the same happy smile that kept reappearing lately.

"You're going to the funeral aren't you?" a tired, croaky voice said from the bed.

Olivia stopped searching the closet for a black suit. "I..." she started.

"Liv, if you need to go, you go. Do you want me to come with you?" he asked.

Olivia felt warmth run through her again, she was worried Elliot would think she was boarding the crazy train; but he wasn't.

"I'll be O.K." she said slipping into her underwear. "I'm just glad this day will be other with, Alex is coming with me, then we're going to wait for the flowers for tomorrow."

"Don't get too caught up on her, it's your hen night tonight."

"I won't, don't worry. And anyway, it's not like I'll be doing much partying tonight, or for the next eight months." Olivia smiled, she climbed back into bed and snuggled back into Elliot's strong, safe arms. "I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I'm glad I did it!"

Elliot kissed Olivia's forehead, "I'm the lucky one. Now what do you say to making a brother or sister for this little one?" Elliot asked kissing Olivia's cheek, nudging her head up so he could reach her neck.

Olivia forced herself back out of bed, "No brothers or sisters until this one's here." she laughed, "I have to get ready." She hated leaving Elliot, especially now. "I have so much to do for tomorrow."

As Olivia pulled up the cemetery, she looked at Alex. "Should we be doing this? What if her family is here?"

"It doesn't matter, all they know is you worked with her." Alex replied. "You don't have to tell them the whole truth, that she fell out the crazy tree and hit every branch on the way down." Alex smiled.

Olivia caught the smile, Alex was right, Olivia didn't have to lie.

As the two women entered the church, it was almost empty. One woman sat at the front of the church, she wore traditional black with a canary broach pinned to the breast of her dress. Alex and Olivia slipped into a pew and took their seat.

As the priest looked at the empty seats, he gave a gracious nod of his head to the woman at the front.

He began his service, his deep, soothing voice filling the empty pews and every corner of the church.

"Today I invite you to celebrate the life of Kayleigh Joanna Masterson. She was a beautiful young lady whose life was cut short. She made some mistakes in her life, but God has forgiven her for her sins and today we pray for Kayleigh's spirit and her journey to heaven." the priest asked everyone to stand, and sing the hymn, Lord of all hopefulness. Olivia and Alex mumbled their way through the hymn, the woman at the front couldn't control her tears enough to sing. Thank the Lord for the organ player, because she had a beautiful voice and knew every hymn.

As the three women took their seats, the priest continued paying respects and blessing Kayleigh's soul. Then the woman in black was invited to say something.

"I didn't realise anyone else would be attending. I wrote this for my daughter, a last message." the woman said shakily as she stood next to her daughters open casket. "Kayleigh, you were always a troubled child, but I loved you dearly. You made me so proud becoming a detective and helping people." tears spilled down Kayleigh's mother's face. "We didn't see each other as often as we should have, but when little Cameron was murdered by your wife," she paused, "at least now you'll be reunited with your baby boy."

Olivia's mind started wander the minute the woman started talking, Kayleigh's mom had absolutely no idea that it was actually her daughter that had gone on a murderous rampage and killed her wife, then kidnapped their child, taken off across state lines to the other side of the country and set up a new life torturing Olivia and whoever crossed her path. Not to mention getting Dani Beck involved in her crazy messed up schemes.

"I just miss you so much." Kayleigh's mom, Nicki blurted breaking Olivia's thought in two. "I don't understand why the prison officers are saying you did this to yourself." Nicki broke down again, "I just don't understand how my baby girl could do this to herself."

Olivia couldn't help but stare at the open casket, she could see a pewter face, Kayleigh's neck was well hidden with a beautiful, blue silk scarf her mom had probably bought specially for the burial. Alex elbowed Olivia, it shook her out of her stare.

"Would you mind saying a few words?" the shaky voice at the front of the church.

Olivia turned her back to the woman who was sniffling, "What am I meant to say? Oh, your daughter Kayleigh, yeah, she tried to kill me more than once, sent me on a naked chase across the city to find a baby that turned out to be doll whilst she watched me?" Olivia whispered hysterically to Alex.

"Half truth Liv." Alex whispered back.

Olivia got up, shuffled passed Alex and walked to the front of the church. She clasped her hands together and took a deep breath in. "Kayleigh was very, different. I can't say I've met anyone quite like her my entire life." Olivia realised at that moment that she had to do what was right, for her, but also for Kayleigh's mother. "Kayleigh had a lot of secrets, a lot of pain, and a lot of confusion; I just hope that wherever she is now, she isn't suffering anymore." Olivia nodded her slightly clarifying there was nothing else she could say before stepping down.

"Thank you." Nicki Masterson said grasping Olivia's hand as she walked back.

The priest ended the service, Nicki Masterson asked Olivia and Alex to stay for the burial. Alex and Olivia gave a small sympathetic smile to the grieving mother, and tried to leave.

"I know who you are detective, and I think what you did in there for me was very honourable. It says a lot about you. Thank you."

"I'm not sure I know what you mean." Olivia said.

"I know my daughter was, special. There has always been something quirky about that girl, when she was younger I caught her hurting out rabbits. She was torturing the poor things, I tried to take her to see someone; no one could get through to her. When she made it as a detective I thought maybe she was thinking differently now, that whatever was going through her mind back then had stopped. I'm sorry she hurt you detective."

"How do you know?" Olivia asked confused.

"I found a diary Kayleigh kept, she's kept one ever since she could write. She thought if she held enough secrets deep within the pages, she had the leverage to keep everyone exactly where she wanted them."

Olivia nodded, "No matter what she did, she's your daughter. Remember the good things Mrs. Masterson."

Olivia and Alex left the cemetery, it was done. Kayleigh was in the ground, heaven or hell? Who knew? Olivia felt like a huge weight had been lifted.

"So, you're going to be Mrs. Stabler..." Alex said as they got in the car. "Are you ready?"

"I don't think I've ever been more ready for anything." Olivia smiled.

Alex and Olivia arrived back at Olivia's apartment; Elliot had left already, Olivia doubled checked her watch when she realised it was almost one thirty in the afternoon.

"We've got the flowers being delivered here in an hour." Olivia stated.

"Liv, how many people are coming to this wedding?"

"It's a small wedding, only a few close friends and family."

What was really happening she had no idea, Elliot had planned everything apart from her dress, ad the flowers. They'd chosen the food together and agreed that pastel colours were good. Everything would be a surprise for Olivia, and everyone else.

A/N: I know this is a shorter chapter than I usually post, the reason is the last chapter is going to be something *hopefully* special, so I'm not wanting to give too much away.

If you have time to review, please do. I read all comments and take on board what is said. Chapter 30 will be the last chapter for Writers Block, so thank you for reading along with me. :)

Much love

Beth :')
