Sara's POV

I woke on our first day of tour to Tegan shaking my shoulder and whispering to me.

"Sara… Sara c'mon we have to get up now." She said gently. I covered my head with a pillow and my blankets.

"No thanks. I'm good here." I told her.

"Alright then you wanna play this game?" She said as she pulled the comforter and blanket off of my body and onto our bedroom floor.

"What the hell Tegan!" I cried, covering my bare body with my hands.

"We have a lot of stuff to do today! Besides you look pretty good like that but as much as I like you naked in bed you need to hurry up and shower."

"Whatever." I muttered angrily as I waked into the bathroom. I sighed and eventually got into the shower. When I emerged from the bathroom Tegan and Joseph were dressed and waiting for me at the front door.

"Here you go." Tegan told me as she handed me a thermos of coffee and a banana. "It's a peace offering since I woke you up rudely."

"Awe thanks Tee." I said kissing her chastely. We waited for about ten minutes before an RV showed up and two trailers soon followed. We spent most of the morning packing a lot of the stuff we needed for tour. Tegan and our manager kept checking and rechecking every list they had made and once they were satisfied we had everything we piled onto the RV and made our way to the Biltmore Cabaret for our first show. There we met up with the rest of our band and crew, including Lindsey Byrnes. I saw her and Tegan talking as we were setting everything up for sound check, Tegan caught my eye and waved me over. I was assuming she was the infamous photographer I had heard much about based on the bulky Nikon hanging around her neck and I wasn't very excited to meet her.

"Sara, this is our photographer Lindsey Byrnes. She takes wonderful photos. And Lindsey this is my wife Sara." Tegan introduced us.

"Hello." I said bluntly.

'Hi, it's nice to finally meet you." The photographer said extending out her hand. I took it and shook politely giving her an awkward smile before walking off to help set up the merch table with Joseph. A few hours later Tegan and I had sound check and the whole time Lindsey was there taking candid shots of us playing, tuning and talking. When we finished and started to go backstage to prepare for the rest of the night she came up to me to talk.

"Hey Sara! Wait up!" She shouted.

"Yes?" I asked confused when I turned around to face her.

"Do you want to see some of the pictures I took?" She asked almost nervously.

"Sure." I said my expression softening. I probably made her nervous. After a few minutes of her showing me a small collection of the pictures she had taken she asked me if I wanted to go on a coffee run with her. I agreed since I was starting to warm up to the nice photographer.

"So... Um. I know that this is still a bit awkward for both of us since the whole 'I kissed your wife' thing happened and I'm sorry. I had never gotten to say that to you in person." She said as she kicked a small rock down the street we were walking on.

"Yeah it is a little awkward. But I've forgiven you and Tegan long ago. I guess since we had never met before the whole situation happened the first time meeting would prove to be uncomfortable." I said. We settled into an uncomfortable silence. Lindsey was the first to break it.

"I'm really grateful that Tegan had decided to not fire me since what I did was completely uncalled for and unprofessional."

"Well its no wonder you take awesome fucking pictures." I told her in all honesty because from what I had seen she had a great talent for photography.

"Thanks." She said blushing as she started to fiddle with the camera around her neck. I wondered if she ever took it off I was still thinking about it when we arrived at our destination. I held the door open for Lindsey, which was returned with a smile from the brunette. We ordered our drinks and decided to sit at one of the tables in the mostly empty coffee shop.

"Do you mind if I take some pictures of you?" She asked after a few minutes.

"Err. No?" I said.

"Okay cool. Just pretend I'm not here." Lindsey said as she got her self into position. I tried my best to ignore her but I was unsuccessful for the most part. But she showed me a few shots of me sipping coffee and looking directly at the camera and another of me looking outside of the coffee shop window.

"These aren't bad. They could be used for a blog post." She said.

"Yeah. They look good." I said as we gathered our things and started to make our way back to the venue. The walk back consisted of mostly small talk. I honestly thought she was nice and we could be friends but it would take a few more coffee runs before we would be comfortable with each other, but progress was progress. That night before Tegan and I went on stage I felt scared out of my mind. I was nervously hoping from one foot to another minutes before we went on. There wasn't an enormous crowd but there were enough people there to get my nerves worked up.

"Nervous?" Tegan asked me before going on stage.

"Yeah kind of." I replied.

"Don't be. You'll do fine. We've practiced and we're ready for this. Hell I'm more likely to fuck up than you are based on sound check." She said. I laughed because it was true she had messed up twice during practice earlier.

"There's that beautiful smile I love." She said flashing her own gummy grin. We then walked on stage and began our set. It took a couple of song but I eventually got into a groove and the crowd was getting into the music as well. To help ease some tension Tegan would start to talk and get extremely off track when introducing a song. We bantered and managed to get the crowd laughing along to our tid bits and by the end of the night I was comfortable with being in front of the group of people and I was sad when our set was over but glad since I had been standing for an hour and a half. I plopped down on a threadbare couch backstage and cracked open a water bottle that Tegan promptly stole.

"Thanks babe." She said as she sat down beside me.

"Fuck you." I snapped at her.

"Aw c'mon I was joking. Anyways you did great tonight."

"Thanks. It was fun. I loved getting to play the songs live." I stated as our manager and some of the crew walked in.

"You both were great tonight." They told us.

"Thank you." We said in unison, getting up to help pack and load everything into the trailers and RVs. When we were done we meet up with a few fans that had waited to see us by the RVs. It was cute they had some small presents for us. Some candy and a letter for both of us. They asked for a picture and we happily obliged, who would say no to their fans?

"That was nice. Those fans I mean." I told Tegan, as we got ready for bed. Once everything was settled Tegan and I climbed into a bunk together. She cuddled closer to me and the vehicle started moving.

"I missed you today. I barely got to see you." She whispered.

"I know sorry, Lindsey and I went on a coffee run after sound check."

"Mmmm, That's nice. I'm glad you guys are getting along." She said.

"Yeah." I commented as a yawn escaped my mouth. Tegan was smiling at me almost stupidly. "What's with the goofy grin?' I asked.

"Nothing, you're just too cute. And now I get to be with you every night on tour." She said and I laughed.

"You're a corn dog." I said kissing her before resting my head on her chest and falling asleep.
