Corren and Riz dragged Nira over with their family before cuddling under her arms, watching the ball with rapture as Gotenks appeared on screen.
Buu cocked his head to the side, grinning plastically. "You… I remember you." He hummed. "I beat you up."
"Fool!" the confident fusion snickered. "If you think I'm the same as I was, you've made a great mistake! It's taken some time, but I'm going to show you I'm completely different then I was!"
I wish I could feel ki's from here. Nira thought morosely. Then maybe I could see if he's bullshitting or not.
She saw Piccolo's awed face and her lips twitched into a hopeful grin.
Gotenks lunged at the monster, kicking and hitting him multiple times in the face. Her people murmured excitedly around her, impressed by the obvious power Gotenks had, but obviously, Buu had more. When Gotenks backed off, the creature hadn't moved an inch.
"Can I attack now?" It asked.
"We're doomed." Piccolo breathed.
Nira groaned.

Nira punched her fist through a nearby tree, the force of it turning it into smithereens. "GODDAMMIT! I DIDN'T DIE FOR THIS!"
Those stupid STUPID boys! She seethed, tearing out her hair. When they get here I'm gonna kick their asses!
"You're not going to kick any asses in heaven, sweetie." Her father chided from where they were sitting, still watching the orb.
Gotenks stood, laughing nervously as Buu came ever forward. Nira couldn't watch them and Piccolo be torn apart. She just couldn't believe this had all been for nothing. Everyone was going to die.
Then, a surge of ki rippled across all the universes, even in heaven. Nira raised her head, her eyes huge. "That was… but was it…?" she frowned, the ki smelled like him, yes, but all gentleness was gone from it.
The rest of the Morakians leapt to their tails, looking around in shock.
"Who was that?" Nira's mother asked, pulling Riz closer to her. "What power. I haven't felt a ki here, ever."
"That was Gohan." Nira laughed, deciding, a grin brimming with bright hope spreading across her face. She whooped, "That was definitely Gohan! There may be a chance we'll win yet!"
"What was Gohan?" a familiar voice asked.
Nira whirled around to face her all of her friends. Krillen, Eighteen, Marron, Mr. Popo, ChiChi, the Ox King, Yamcha, Puar, Roshi, and Bulma floating before her.
"Oh my…" she breathed, before she was talked into a hug. Bulma squeezed Nira tightly before letting her go, slapping her.
"Don't you ever do that again!" she shouted, her face red.
"Oh, I like her." Her mother grinned.
"Uh, uh." Nira coughed, "G – Gohan's ki. I felt it, it's not here, he's alive." She explained quickly.
Videl and ChiChi both broke out into manic grins.
"See? I told you he was alive!" Videl crowed.
ChiChi clasped her hands together, tears beading at the corner of her eyes. "My darling boy! He's alive!"
The other's on the other hand, were gawking at the crowd of Morakians gathered around the orb.
"Uh, Nira?" Krillen said. "Are these who we think they are?"
"Oh, yeah, um." Nira stood between her two families. "Friends, these are my people." She said with a nervous smile. "My people, this is… these are my friends."
The Earthlings raised their hands and waved nervously at the group of battle scarred and tattooed aliens. The Morakians beamed, getting to their feat.
"Har har!" Nira's mother laughed, taking Bulma's hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Briefs." Her smile softened as she patted the human's hand. "I wanted to thank you for taking care of my little girl. Thank you so much."
Bulma let her hackles fall, blinking slowly. A faint smile then tilted her red lips. "It was my pleasure." She said kindly.
Her mother grinned, crinkling the scars on her cheeks. "My name is Yanvich, and this is my husband Dyann."
Nira's father came up beside her. "Hello." He grinned, shaking Bulma's hand and bowing his head in gratitude.
"I'm Corren!" Nira's brother chirped, pointing his thumb at his chest.
"And I'm Riz!" the youngest sibling added, grinning lopsidedly.
"And we are the Morakians." The elder said, hobbling to the front. She then got to one knee and bowed before the Earthlings. The rest of the Morakians followed suit, all with humble, respectful smiles on their faces.
Nira's hands flew to her face and hair, her jaw dropped.
"And we thank you all." The elder continued in a humbled tone. "Thank you for accepting our last and most kind child into your arms." She rose her face to theirs, tears twinkling in her old eyes like diamonds. "We are eternally in your debt, brave souls of Earth. Yet, I'm afraid we've nothing to give but our gratitude and a seat at our table."
Roshi stepped forward, helping the wizened Morak to her feet.
"That is more than enough." He said to the Morakians. "More than enough."
Maybe he's not just an old pervert, then. Nira thought, a small smile on her face.

The Morakians and Earthlings sat around the orb, watching silently as Gohan flew to Piccolo and the boys rescue.
"He looks sort of different." Nira heard Videl mutter.
Nira and a few of the other's whom heard nodded silently in agreement.
In the orb, the vision continued.
"Thank goodness I got here in time." Gohan said, smiling at the three survivors.
"Gohan!?" Trunks gasped.
"Brother!" Goten cheered. "You're not dead!"
Gohan turned his gaze to Buu, whom was watching him intently.
"It was a close thing, but Supreme Kai saved me." He explained. "I was with him until now." He narrowed his eyes. "Where's everyone else?" he asked shortly.
"They were killed by Buu!" Trunks answered.
"What!?" Gohan breathed. "Even mother and Dende?"
"That's right!" Goten shouted bitterly. "Everyone but us!"
"Hehehe." Buu giggled evilly, rubbing his belly. "They were delicious. I ate them after turning them into chocolate."
They all watched Gohan declare that he was going to kill Buu, some with slight grimaces. So far, anyone who's said that has either died or befriended the damn thing.
Corren and Riz sat with their heads in their sister's lap, watching.
"You didn't say that…" Corren whispered. "But you died anyway…"
Riz turned his big eyes to his sister. "Can he really be beat?"
Nira sighed, not turning away from the orb. "To be honest, I don't know." She watched a burst of energy whip around Gohan like a miniature tornado. "But maybe Gohan can."
She heard whispering and her ear twitched in it's direction. Her mother and Bulma were whispering to each other pleasantly, they smelled a little happy.
Good. They're getting along. Nira thought with a satisfied grin. Then it dropped and her eyes bugged out of her head. Oh no. They're getting along.
She tried to decipher what they were talking about. Her, no doubt about that. Probably something embarrassing, or trying to set her up for something embarrassing like a date.
Then a crash like thunder stole her attention as her brothers jumped, clutching her training pants in surprise.
On the orb, dust was settling, revealing Buu and Gohan. Buu's face and neck were scraped and bruised, his teeth gritted in pain. Faster than the eye could see he tried to land a punch on Gohan, who grabbed it in his hand without a problem before dishing out some serious fists on the pink beast. He then pulled back and kicked Buu, sending it flying.
Well this makes me feel better about myself. She thought sarcastically, remembering how she couldn't land a single attack on the monster.
The vision them seemed to close up in Piccolo, Goten and Trunks, their jaws dropped in pure amazement.
Nira snorted and tried to bite back her laughter at the look on Piccolo's face. First his fusion dance and now this. She snickered devilishly. I'm never going to stop loving this fucking nerd.
Then, when she realized what she thought, her hackles went up. Slowly, she peaked over her shoulder to glance at her father, who was watching the orb with a smirk.
"Hey, nerds are alright too." He said, winking at her stricken face.
Nira groaned, "Daaaad."

"I CAN'T STAND YOU! Not at all! NOT AT ALL! NOT AT ALL! I WILL KILL YOU!"
Everyone watched Buu rage with fearful eyes. It felt like he was screaming right at them. Thanks mystic heaven camera for that close up, by the way.
Even as Gohan spoke, everyone's attention was glued to Buu. Angry, throbbing veins had popped up all over his body. His was shaking with anger, twitching and trembling, a horrible smile on his face.
Gohan gasped and pounced away, grabbing the three others before Buu self combusted with a piercing shriek. A huge mushroom cloud cackled in the horizon.
The camera moved to view Gohan, carrying the two boys by the neck of their shirts and his arm around Piccolo's waist.
"Looks like someone's trying to make a move on your mate, Nira!"
"MOM!"
Everyone around giggled at Nira's tomato red face as she steamed with anger and embarrassment.
"Do you think Buu's dead?" Piccolo asked, facing the desolation Buu had left behind.
Gohan grunted, "No."
"He blew himself up, didn't he?" Trunks gulped. "He was trying to catch you in the explosion."
"If he wanted to catch me in the explosion, it would have to have been much bigger. There'd be nothing left of Earth." Gohan explained with a frown.
A sense of anticipated dread began to fill up Nira's gut as she watched her friends converse the fate of Buu, leaving their spot in search of Dende. They found and picked up Mr. Satan on their way there.
Mr. Popo was nearly in tears when they found Dende. "Oh, thank goodness." He whispered, wiping his eyes. "I got him out of there just in time."
"Who's that? Why's that brat so pale?"
And there's Mr. Satan, ruining the moment as always.
"He's not a brat, he's God." Trunks snapped.
And there's Trunks, saving it.
