Chapter 28
A/N: just so everyone knows...there is no train from Novosibirsk to Istanbul. Also I've never been to Turkey so I don't know the geography per say, but I've researched locations and tourist sites…but I'm still making stuff like the weather up. Just forewarning so I don't get reviews telling me I'm wrong cus I know I am.
"Do you have to leave?" Dimitri whined as he peppered me with kisses.
"Mhmm," I moaned, not able to form any words. Having enough I brought his lips down for a long kiss, only breaking apart when the attendant announced it was time to board the train. "I'll see you in three week, babe."
"Oh no. You're skyping me at least three times," he huffed, making me chuckle before giving him one last kiss. I was about to go when he held onto my wrist. "I got you something, an early Christmas gift. I hope it comes in handy."
Looking down, I saw a small hot pink envelope clutch. Confused, I opened it up and a smile formed on my face. On the inside it was pale min green and had three different compartments. The first one I could put credit cards and in the second I could put money, but the last one was made for my phone, I could even put in my headphones! The button that closes the clutch was a cute gold crown. It was cute and just what I needed so I wouldn't have to lug around a purse!
"Thank you!" I squealed before jumping in his arms and giving him a long, hard kiss.
"So you'll stay?" he tried one last time.
"No way!" I chuckled before letting go, sneaking in one last kiss, before turning around and slipping my sunglasses on, giving the girls my evilest smile. "Let's go make some trouble."
DPOV
Placing my hands in my pocket, I watched as the girls boarded the train. Once they were inside, I turned around and saw the guys had the same lost look I felt I had. It took everything I had not to get on that train and bring Roza with me, even if I had to throw her over my shoulders. After this past week how could she just leave like that? Plus, she's been acing a bit weird these last few days. Especially the last day of practice.
Eddie, Alberta, and I had worked with Rose to create a new schedule for her so she could do track, modelling, and having some free time. We kept her morning weight room with Eddie, and then after school she'd stay for half the practice, and then we'd have our own practice at my place when she wasn't at Lia's studio. Every now and then we'd go run through the woods…and end up spending the night in the cabin. But that's only been 2 or 3 times. Although, if it was up to Rose that'd be every night. I know we're both teenagers filled hormones, but Rose puts all guys to shame. Lia had a few projects she wanted Rose in when she came back, so she spent a few days getting everything ready. Everything was going alright until her last morning training before break.
"I finished my sets," Roza announced as she put away the dumbbells. "So I guess that means practice is over…right?"
"Not so fast," Eddie said, laughing. "We'rew going to do some sparring."
"Why?" she whined. I couldn't help but look up from my book and see her pouting at Eddie, making me laugh.
"Because it's good for working out. So come one, I'll show you the right form and even a few basic punches and blocks."
"Comrade tell him to let me out early," she said, looking at me with her beautiful brown eyes wider than normal.
"I'm not in charge in this practice, Roza," I said, looking back at my book. All the sudden it was out of my hand and instead I had a very sweaty Roza only in short shorts and a sports bra on my lap.
"Please," she begged, looking up through her lashes. I gulped, feeling my resolve slipping. She kissed my cheek, murmuring another please. Closing my eyes, I let myself get lost in her lips trailing to mine. When I didn't feel anything on my lips, I opened my eyes to see her breathes away from me. "Please."
Unable to stop myself, I grabbed her neck and pulled her down for a kiss, loving how quickly she melted into it. All too soon, I broke away and stood up. "No," I said firmly, turning her around and playfully smacking her ass, causing her yelp. "Now go learn how to fight."
After glaring at me, she stomped over and let Eddie teach her the right way to form her fist, and how her stance should be. He taught her how to strike a quick and powerful punch, and then how to use her forearm to block a hit. When he felt she was ready, he took off the padding and got ready to spar her. It was all going well, she was blocking a majority of his attacks, and she was able to get in a few of her own. And then Eddie went for her stomach…
On the one side I was proud of her speed, but she did a move I'm sure Eddie didn't teach her. She twisted her body so her stomach wasn't in the way, and then used her palms to push his arm back. And for save measure, she elbowed him so he hunched over, groaning.
"Rose!" I said, but what I was about to say caught in my throat when I saw the pure fear in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry!" she quickly said, torn between reaching out to help or just standing where she was.
"Roza," I said in a soothing voice as I approached her. "What happened?"
"I don't…I don't know," she murmured, leaning into my touch as I wrapped my arms around her. "I saw him going for my stomach and I just had to stop him."
"Are you ok?" She nodded her head.
"Rose, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to freak you out or anything," Eddie said as he got up.
"It's fine, Eddie. I just overreacted," she said.
"I guess we should just call it a day then," he said, grimacing as he tried to walk.
"Dude…Duuuude," Christian said, waving his hand in front of me, bringing me back to the present.
"Huh? What?" I asked, blinking a few times to remind myself of where I'm at. The train station. Roza-less.
"Nothing. We were just wondering what you were going to do now."
"Go back home and sleep," I said.
"That sounds like a good plan," Adrian said, getting into his car. Popping his head out, he asked if we were going to do anything. We all just shrugged, the idea of sleep sounding good. We agreed to get together later in the week and then got into our cars and went home.
I was at the brink of deep sleep when my phone started to buzz.
"What?" I growled in the phone.
"Oh shit that's right you're not suppose to wake up a bear," Adrian said. I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"What do you want, Ivashkov?" I said, the sleep evident in my voice.
"Me? Nothing. My mother? She wants you and your family over for Christmas and New Years."
"That's next week," I said, sitting up. "Plus she could have told my mother."
"Yes but would she also have to tell you mother that you, Christian, Eddie, Andre, and I are going shopping this week?"
"Dude when did you lose your dick and get boobs?"
"Hey! I need something to wear to the dinner and so do all of you so stop giving me crap and just say you'll go."
"What if I'm busy?"
"Doing what exactly? Watching the clock tick until Rose gets back? Just because of that we're meeting at your house on Wednesday at 10 am. If you aren't up and ready by then, I'll give you a nice wake up call."
"Fine, Adrian," I grumbled."You still could have called at later time. Like when I wasn't sleeping."
"Yea well my mom ruined my nap, so I decided to ruin yours. Can you call Chris and Andre? I'll call Eddie,"
"Fine. Can I go to sleep now?"
"No. Call first. Sleep later."
"Yes mother."
"Bite me."
"Save the sweet talk for Sydney," I teased, laughing when he growled and hung up. Placing the phone on my night table, I passed out by the time my head it the pillow.
RPOV
"Next time," I began to say before yawning. "Let's get the afternoon train and not wake up early."
"But now we get there in a day and a half and get to start sightseeing the next day," Sydney said, her eyes gleaming in excitement.
"I fail to the logic in that," Viktoria said as we put our luggage on top of her bed/bench. Being the rich bitches we were, we booked three separate cabin-rooms. Each had two benches/beds, so we split it with Viktoria and I in a room, Jill and Lissa in another, and Sydney volunteered to have the third room, where we also put our extra luggages. Right now though, we were all in my room just relaxing.
"Well we're going to get to Istanbul around 7 or 8 right? That gives us time to get to our hotel, put our things in our room, and get a good night's rest before waking up and starting the sightseeing," Sydney explained.
"You have this whole week planned out don't you?" I asked, knowing the answer. When we planned for this trip, we agreed we each get a week. Sydney gets the first week to do all the sightseeing, Viktoria and I get the second week to do partying and such, and Lissa and Jill get the third week for shopping. That way we don't try doing everything at once and burn ourselves out or end up fighting with each other.
"Yes I do," she said proudly. "I have everything planned out from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed."
"Are we seeing all of Turkey or just Istanbul?" Jill asked as she braided her hair.
"All of Turkey," Sydney said.
"I just can't wait for us to go shopping!" Lissa squealed.
"Please. I got the best night planned," I said, with a mischievous, knowing smirk.
"What do you have planned?" Viktoria asked, skeptical since I hadn't told her about the surprise.
"Nah nah nah! I don't spill my secret," I teased.
"If I share my surprise, will you share yours?" Lissa said, trying to get me to spill. Thinking about it for a second, I nodded my head. Squealing she ran to the room with the extra luggages and brought 5 black, thin, square shaped bags. Handing one to each of us, I saw that it was really flimsy. Curious, I tore it open and saw a skirt. It was black chiffon skirt with white polka dots and a lace embroidery hem that went lower then the mesh undershirt. Looking up I saw Lissa was holding up the same in white with beige polka dots. Jill had a mint green skirt with white polk dots and a thik brown braided belt, Viktoria had the same in pale orange, and Sydney had it in black.
"Wow Lissa these are beautiful!" I said, standing up and holding my skirt up to my body.
"Thanks. I was out with Christian last week and I saw them and couldn't resist. Maybe we can wear them to whatever your surprise is," she said as she folded hers back up.
"It's a concert," I said, making all of them whip their heads in my direction. "I figured that if we go partying every night or every other night, it would get boring, so I came across these tickets and couldn't resist."
"This trip is going to be so fucking amazing!" Viktoria shouted.
"Language!" Sydney shouted, causing all of us to laugh.
"So I feel kind of bad that I don't have any surprises," Jill said.
"Aw Jill your fashion knowledge for when we go shopping is better than any surprise," I said. "Plus you are two years younger than us, so if anything we should be teaching you things." Everyone agreed, saying something that Jill brings to the group and the trip. And then after a while Jill suggested playing a game so we spent a few hours playing Life and Monopoly.
"So Syd, what's the first thing on your list of places to go?" Viktoria asked as the sun began to set. Sydney shook her head, saying that we'd find out when we get there.
Woooooo. Woooooo. EEEEEEEEEEEE.
Groaning, I got up from my bed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and running a hand through my hair to flatten it a bit. 36 hours on a train was not a good idea, but there was more mobility than there is on a plane.
"Are we here?" Vika asked, her voice thick with sleep. I nodded my head, still getting out of the sleeping haze myself.
"Come you guys!" Lissa shouted from the hallway, her and Jill bouncing with excitement.
"Is your dad the energizer bunny?" I asked as I brought down my luggage. Viktoria's were already on the bench so she quickly went out with Sydney.
"Can we wait for you in the front?" Sydney asked, looking at the crowd building up behind me. I nodded my head, struggling to get my last luggage.
"Come on," I growled. I had finally tugged hard enough for it to come out, but too hard for me to stay balance. I closed my eyes waiting for my ass to hit the ground, but instead I heard someone chuckling from behind me. Popping one eye open, I saw someone had caught me. Not just someone. A guy. A really cute guy with short black hair gelled up and hazel eyes sparkling with humor and Lord was he gorgeous. Not Dimitri gorgeous, just eye candy gorgeous.
"Having trouble there?" he asked, his voice low and raspy. If I was single I would totally gone for him.
"Nope. Just grabbing my luggage," I said as I put carry-on bag on top, rolling a luggage in each hand.
"Here let me help you," he said, freeing one of my hands. "I'm Drew by the way."
"Rose," I said, giving him a small smile. "Are you from here?"
"No, just visiting with a few friends. I'm actually from California and we visited Russia first. How about you?"
"Same. Except we live in Russia."
"Lucky lady. I thought it was beautiful, a bit cold, but we can't all live in paradise can we?"
Laughing I shook my head. "No we can't. But I'd take Russia over Montana any day."
"Montana? That explains the lack of Russian accent."
"Mmhmm. Well there are my friends," I said, taking my luggage from him. "Thanks for helping me, Drew."
"Woah woah," he said, quickly stepping in front of me. "What if I introduce you to my friends, and you introduce me to yours, and we become friends. It doesn't seem fit for five beautiful ladies like yourselves to be here all alone."
"We can take care of ourselves, thank you very much," I said stubbornly.
"Speak for yourself, Roza. You train with my brother everyday," Viktoria said as her and the girls joined me and his friends joined him. Of course. Five girls and five guys.
"Who's this?" Jill asked, eying Drew suspiciously. Rolling my eyes, I introduced him.
"Drew, this is Lissa, Viktoria, Sydney, and Jill. Girls, this is Drew and his friends." They all waved and said hi, the guys returning the greeting.
"Pleasure to meet you ladies," he said sweetly before turning to his friends. "This is Jack, Daniel, Ben, and Kevin. Guys, this is Rose and her friends."
Jack was ruggedly hot. He had grey eyes, and dark, sandy blonde hair, short like Drew, and he was really buff. Not overly buff, but you could tell he had muscle. Daniel was gorgeous with his blue eyes. He had wavy brown hair, and a slim body like Adrian, that made you wonder if he worked out or was just graced with a good body. Ben was kinda cute in a nerdy way. He was slim, like not a slick of muscle lean, with short brown hair parted to the side, and a boyish face with brown eyes. Kevin had the potential to be smoking hot, but looked really cute in his suit vest. His body was a mix of Daniel and Eddie, thin and formed but not big like Jack or even Dimitri. He had light honey brown hair, short and gelled back and parted, and he had gorgeous sky blue eyes that were sparkling with humor (even though I have no idea what was funny).
"Do any of you boys have girlfriends?" Viktoria asked, openly checking them out. They all nodded their heads.
"Well this trip definitely got a lot more fun," I said. I mean my friends and I have boyfriends, and Drew and his friends have girlfriends, so we won't have to worry of hanging out with them and things going past platonic. Cutting a glance at Sydney, I knew we were ruining her schedule. "Um I'd love to stay and chat, really, but we kind of have to get to our rooms. Maybe after we can get together."
"Where are you guys staying?" Daniel asked, his voice like British music to my ears.
"A'jia Hotel," Sydney said.
"Dude isn't that where we're staying?" Jack asked, Drew shook his head, saying they were close to that hotel.
"If you guys want, we can all go together," Kevin offered. Looking at the girls, I waited to see if any of them said no.
"We can share 3 taxis. Two girls and two guys in each. The last car will only have one and one, but we can put the extra luggage in that one. Sound good?" Everyone nodded their head. Sydney and Jill went with Ben and Kevin, while Lissa and Viktoria went with Jack and Daniel, leaving me and Drew with the extra luggage. I was too tired to try to converse, so I ended up taking a nap.
"Rose…Rose…" Drew said as he woke me up. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see a beautiful white hotel built like a massive mansion. Quickly, I got out of the car and ran up to the girls, the five of us running in to check in.
"Your room is on third floor, the west wing," said the receptionist as she handed us our keys. "The bell boy will take your luggage as well." Nodding our heads, I remembered with left our stuff with the guys outside.
"Sorry," I said when we returned, seeing Drew and his friends taking out our luggage.
"It's nothing really," he said, refusing to take my money. Realizing he was as stubborn as me, I agreed to letting him pay for the taxis, partly because I wanted to go to my room. "Hey do you girls want to get together later and grab a bite to eat?"
"I dunno. If we don't pass out or if we have enough time before it's time for bed, maybe."
"You guys have a curfew?" Jack asked, more like a tease.
"More like Sydney has a schedule and if we want to get enough sleep to survive our excursion tomorrow, we should go to bed early."
"Well then how about tomorrow?" Drew asked, not giving it up. I looked at Sydney. It is her week, so if she has everything planned I don't want to ruin it.
"Fine! We can have dinner," she said, scrolling through her phone.
"If we come back," I joked. "How about I get your numbers and I'll let you know when we get back?" After getting their numbers, Ben pointed out they should go check in at their own hotel.
"We're in the west wing, so slip a note under our door to let us know where you're at." The girls and I had started walking back inside when Drew asked what door. "You'll see when you get there," I teased.
When we got to our room, my jaw dropped. It was beautiful! It was two stories, with three rooms and a bathroom on top and two rooms on the bottom and a fully equipped kitchen and another bathroom next door. In the living room were two couches and two sofa chairs, and a big screen TV on one side. On the other side were big window doors that opened up to a big balcony with three lounging chairs and side tables, with a beautiful view of the water, the bridge, and the pool. It was…heavenly!
"Oh. My. God," Jill whispered as she stepped into one of the bottom bedroom. Piling in behind her all drew in our breathes. In the middle was a simple bed with a headboard and white sheets, a rose laying on the middle of the bed, and a tray on the nightstand with a cup of orange juice, a pot with hot water, and a plate with kronut. Right next to the bed was a night table, and the closet next to it. On the other side was a window overlooking the beach.
"Wow," I said before running into every room, everyone behind me, finding mine on the second floor in the corner. "CALLED IT!" I shouted as I jumped onto the bed.
"Not fair!" Viktoria whined. "Why do you get the bathtub!"
"Because I said so," I said triumphantly, relaxing onto the pool of pillows, moaning as the cool fabric touched my skin. When they realized there was no point in fighting, they left and Viktoria and Lissa got the rooms up here and Sydney got the other room downstairs. After taking a nice, soothing bath, I put a robe on and opened up my window doors that lead to the balcony - yes I got the only room with a small balcony, big enough for me to step out and lean on the railing, gazing at the big moon and twinkling stars. Part of me was enjoying such a beautiful sight, and another part of me was wondering if Dimitri was looking at the same thing back at home.
A/N: BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING! Drew and his friends in no way, shape, or form will cause any troubles for the girls romantically. Meaning, they're just friends. Yes slightly weird way of meeting, but oh well.
That being said, what was your favorite part? I thought the ending was kind of cute :) Leave me a review and tell me what you think!
